What I’ve Learned As A Freelance Writer
Hello, hello, helloooo. I hope you’re all doing well. :) I’ve been freelance writing for over 10 years, and I thought I’d share what I’ve learned as a freelance writer.
Don’t Put All Your Eggs In One Basket I’ve seen websites go under, and I’ve had clients disappear on me. It used to send me into panic mode, but I’ve learned not to put all my eggs in one basket. Now, I always make sure I’m on enough writing teams and keeping in touch with my regular clients. I also bookmark other freelance/content writing websites to research as needed. Always Do Your Research Sometimes, a writing website sounds too good to be true because it IS too good to be true. Whether it’s for blogging or content writing, you should always research a website and/or ask for opinions before diving right in. At least that’s what I do. Don’t Be Afraid To Try Something New Even though I had an account for years, it took me until 2018/2019 to even post a gig on Fiverr. It was different from the websites I’m used to, so I wasn’t ready until then. I’m glad I made that leap because that’s where I land some of my writing clients. The same can also be said for joining new writing teams and websites, or taking on a new client. If it’s possible and legit, do not be afraid to take the leap because it could lead to something great. However, Learn When To Say No When my Fiverr gigs started picking up traction, I would try to do anything. If I didn’t feel qualified? I’d turn it down. If I was already swamped with work? I would do it and cut it close to my deadlines, or I’d pull an all-nighter to get things done. I’ve learned when to say “no” and/or put up my away message. It’s good to be productive, but you don’t want to overextend yourself and risk burnout. It’s Okay To Make Mistakes - But Make Sure You Learn From Them When I first joined Textbroker, I made a lot of comma mistakes because I wasn’t knowledgeable in the AP Style. I went from avoiding commas (unless I was sure I was right) to taking the time to learn how to properly use the commas. If I’m unsure of anything in general, I hit up Google to double-check it. I also read out loud when proofreading, and I proofread my longer writing orders twice. You’re a human being. You’re going to make mistakes, and that’s okay, but you want to make sure you learn from them. Write Outside Your Freelance Work It’s good to write for fun and as a hobby. I run this blog, as well as a grief-related blog (because I lost my parents) and a fan blog for my favorite band. I’m a member of MyLot, and I have multiple online/offline journals for sharing my thoughts. Write outside of your work. Express yourself. Keep the creative juices flowing. And mostly, don’t lose your passion for writing.
Those are just a few things I’ve learned as a freelance writer, and I hope they help you to grow into the writer you wish to be. :) What have you learned as a freelance or creative writer?

Some stuff I do online
I recently started posting on mylot again. If you are not familiar with mylot, it is a place where you can post about anything as long as it does not sound like spam. If you do decide to go there and join , make sure you look at the rules and make sure you understand them.  Oh and the best thing about this is you get paid for writing .Well sort of. You need people to respond and like your…

Twin Pines: TS3 Remake
*original TS2 lot by triciamanly:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I remember having downloaded this beautiful house when I was still playing TS2 so I thought of recreating it in TS3. The floor plan and the exterior are unaltered, while the interior is slightly modified.
Objects used were mostly from the base game, with some EPs and SPs plus a small amount of cc to make the lot appear as it is in screenshots.

Executioners Secrets : Crucifixion
It's the time of the year when many who profess to be believers reflect on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I find the study of ancient history and archaeology extremely interesting and enlightening. Consequently, I watch a lot of documentaries, read, etc. I recall hearing this tidbit on a documentary. One of the invited intellectuals or experts said (not an exact quote, a paraphrase):
“Crucifixion was a very common form of execution in the Roman Empire. Literally thousands of people were put to death in this manner. Yet archaeological evidence is scant and hardly any any skeletal remains of those who died this way have been discovered. Crosses haven't even been found. Which is fascinating. In fact, to think that so many were crucified and so far all the diggers have managed to find is one ankle bone with a nail in it. And they aren't even sure it's a crucified person's remains. They're assuming it is. In short, though crucifixion was a common form of execution, and thousands died that way, nobody seems to know exactly how it was done. They have a general idea of the method.”
My immediate thought to his remarks was: Well that's one secret the executioners can keep to themselves. I hope nobody figures it out!
That documentary was several years back and maybe they have finally found crucial evidence since then. Even so … I still don't want to know!

My Writing Week.
Hey, hey, hey. So here is how my writing week is shaping up: - I'm doing a bunch of orders for one of my favorite writing teams on Textbroker. - I'm starting a project of four writing orders this week. It's not due until 10/28, but they're easy orders, and I would rather not wait until the last minute to get started. - I want to post on here for fun. - I also want to post on MyLot for both fun and spare change. - My goal is to also get back into my journaling and planning offline, as I skipped last week because I was so busy. Whatever you have on your agenda, I hope it's a great writing week for you all. :)

I cleared $2 on my JustPlay app tonight. I did surveys in Qmee and I got $2 there too. I use a lot of survey and paid 2 play apps like these. I am also on several paid 2 post forums, like mylot, forumcoin.com, MoneyLine.website, Fusion Cash, Trendri, Beermoneyforum.com, bizdustry.com, and referralindexforum. I am close to payout on a couple but these forums are a lot slower than the paid 2 play games and surveys.

Wildflower Loft
It seems like a lot of people really enjoyed the WIPs of this loft, and I don’t build often, so I figured I’d share it! I am lowkey hoping everything shows up in it because my game has disappearing decor syndrome (really don’t know why some pieces always vanish). Anyway, I think the house would be good for like an artsy nature sim. It’s not perfect, but I hope you like it!
Also, if anyone would like the Wildflower ReShade preset I made specifically for this lot, let me know. I didn’t thoroughly test it, and I used it jointly with wooldawn’s vintage photoshop action. It’s just going to sit around in my folder, so if you want it feel free to ask!
Info:
-30x20
-Fully Furnished with [included] CC (use bb.moveobjects on)
-CC Heavy (3.05 GB)
- §90,217
-Required: Get to Work, Get Together, Cats and Dogs, Romantic Garden, and Backyard
-Suggested: Alf-si’s Windenburg texture replacements
See more previews here!
Thank you to all CC creators.
TOU: Don’t reupload or claim as own! If there are issues, please let me know.
DL: Please send me an ask OFF anon to download this build!
This is because it is cc-heavy and I’m not going to try to hunt everything down to make a big list that would take everyone an hour to click through.
Please tag me, I’d love to see your photos!
Buy me a coffee if you’d like ♥
