Magi 365 Summary

Warning: As usual, please note that my level of Japanese is basic at most, so I cannot guarantee that the following snippets are accurate. This time it’s a summary of the chapter, but note that I might have left some parts out because I didn’t understand them. Feel free to share the link, but please DO NOT REPOST, and don’t forget to support the official releases!!

In which a plan is formed under desperate measures, and Aladdin finally reaches his grandpapi... .

Friendly warning that I’m running a 38.5C fever, so there might be a few errors here and there (who knows, it might make thing more interesting xDD).

Status: Confirmed (well it’s the chapter that came out on Wednesday so xD).

Title is “Great Towers of the Dungeons”, and begins with Alibaba’s household fighting the angels coming out a big mess made of towers from Paimon’s dungeon. The people of the Kou Empire, where they are, are thankful for being saved, but at the same time they are confused as to why they are thankful, since didn’t they want to return to the rukh?

Toto questions Mor in this regard, but the latter replies that right now they should focus on protecting everyone.

Arba, however, does “discuss” this with Nerva from a distance. In a nutshell, it makes sense that they are all confused, since something they “always” believed in just disappeared in an instant, so right not all they can do is fight the enemy in front of them. She wonders if the humans whose faith has been broken can find a reason to live.

At this, Nerva seriously points out that while she looks young, she is actually an old woman, right? He understands because he knew someone like that (aka Sche).

Meanwhile, the MV users at Heliohapt are fighting the angels, and we see a glimpse of Kougyoku’s thoughts. She is confused as to why she and everyone else wanted to return to the rukh; with a terrified expression, she realizes that had they continued moving towards that goal, then---!!

Suddenly, her line of thought is interrupted by Alibaba’s appearance, who tells her to leave those thoughts for later, but also tells her that how she tried to save him made him happy. Still, they know should focus on doing what they can, and while she understands, she also wonders how they can stop that magic.

Kouen wants to burn everything, but Koumei comes up with the solution - for this kind of large scale magic, you need to set up multiple points of power, so destroying those towers if their best option (for a better explanation on how this works, see Aladdin’s comment in Night 251).

And while they are doing this on the outside, Aladdin is going to begin his battle from the inside, having just reached David’s true form.

Thinking about it...

...Am I the only one who is bothered with how Third Prince (and only good and educated prince, plus merchant prince) Alibaba Saluja of the Balbadd Kingdom which had trade treaties with the Rem Empire which is the oldest existing empire in the world and the Parthevian Empire which is the second oldest existing empire in the world, plus being introduced as a Sinbad fanboy who has read everything about Sinbad...

...Is the person who says “Who’s that?” when Imperial Prince Nerva of the Rem Empire (who was prince when Alibaba was in the Rem Empire ffs, his dad’s face [and Nerva’s face is unique in this manga, and the father should not look too much different] would be on the coins Alibaba was winning at the coliseum! Alibaba went with his fleet to fight the Medium! Nerva was one of the two highest ranked people on that battlefield on Rem’s side!) and Imperial Princess Serendine of the Parthevian Empire and Sindria Company and Sindria Kingdom 1.0, and potentially Sinbad’s girlfriend (seriously, do you know gossip? Courtly gossip? Even if there was nothing there, there should be hundreds of people gossiping about Sinbad/Serendine in-universe) shows up.

This is actually particularly egregious when you consider that Serendine was a beautiful woman with a rare hair color while part of a royal family: There should have been portraits made and sent out to every kingdom and empire in the world, especially allied ones. Not only that, because of her rare hair color, she would be easily identified from written and verbal descriptions (Parthevian, pretty woman with pink hair of the same age as Sinbad. Keep in mind selling her hair was enough to feed three people and a giant draconian, so it’s pretty rare and sought after). And Alibaba should have read those since he read Sinbad’s adventures (and either Sinbad is lying and saying he always had Zepar, or Alibaba also conveniently never read that part when he voraciously read the adventures while dreaming about dungeon conquering).

Not to mention that Balbadd and Parthevia are both old and associated monarchies; Alibaba and Serendine should probably be appearing in the same family trees.

It’s especially annoying when we have Aladdin right there: Aladdin, who knows nothing (or claims not to when the author needs him to be ignorant and seeking answers whenever he has to be innocent of wrong-doing, see Magnostadt and Mogamett among others, but omniscient and perfect child sage whenever else) of this world and its important people except for what we’ve seen.

I don’t know, it feels like a petty thing to be annoyed about, but still it irritates me.

Magi 353 Spoilers

Warning: As usual, please note that my level of Japanese is basic at most, and this is just a translation of text summaries available online, so I cannot guarantee that the following snippets are accurate. In other words, these can be just rumors or misinterpretations, and I might have left some parts out because I didn’t understand them. Feel free to share the link, but please DO NOT REPOST, and don’t forget to support the official releases!!

In which everyone wants to be stomped by the swords of giant angels... except those four, of course.

Status: Confirmed

Chapter is titled “The Collection of Rukh”.

The spoilers start with Aladdin and the others back in their world, with him mentioning that the rukh are being drawn to some place. He also notices there is some sort of spell coming from under the IA HQ.

By the way, Nerva is there, but gets promptly ignored as the others head out. Eventually, Child!Arba comes out of the portal as well.

Arba says that the magic of the Sacred Palace has been activated, and she cannot really be enthusiastic about “those four”. The rukh is being collected. Starting from the place where the dimensional boundaries’s are thinner, the world’s map will be dyed in black. Basically, when the angel statues swing their swords, their surroundings change back into white rukh.

We then see images of the Dark Continent, Heliohapt, and Sindria, where everyone is supper happy about the giant statues killing everyone (and everything). Looking at this scene, Drakon reminiscences of the past, and he begins crying without realizing it. When Saher questions him about it, he supposes them to be tears of joy, but their figures are soon shown to be surrounded by chains (like Mor, I daresay).

However, before the sword of the statue they happily welcome can kill them, Alibaba intervenes and saves Drakon, Saher, and the others, much to their surprise.

Alibaba says that he won’t let someone else to decide what he wants to do, to which Aladdin, Hakuryuu, and Judar agree. The four of them will destroy these shinigami (death gods).

And that’s the final update! Looks like there is a chance people will be snapped out of their conditioning, even though it’s very slim.
