Your dad turned into a monster when you came home from school.

You can hear him groaning in his room upstairs. Your little brother won’t stop crying. Neither of you have eaten and you’re pretty sure neither of you are going to be sleeping tonight.

That’s what you think—but a few hours later your little brother has passed out, curled into your side, still sniffling. You consider taking him up to bed before you remember the monster in your dad’s room. No, it’ll be better to stay right here on the couch.

You only get up to grab a blanket and pillow, but by the time you’re back your brother’s eyes are cracked open and hazy with tears. He calls for you and you hush him gently, climbing back onto the couch and pulling the blanket over the two of you. He immediately clings to you. He’s shivering. You both lie down and you tell him to sleep. You’ll figure something out, you assure him. It’ll be okay.

He’s a scared little kid who listens to his older brother and falls asleep pretty quickly, drooling on your shirt. You, on the other hand, are a scared little kid who needs to fix everything.

You don’t sleep much that night. You don’t sleep much for many, many nights after that.

Nijimura Brothers!! This drawing is dedicated to Keicho, who recently made an appearance in All Star Battle R! Little bro Okuyasu is cheering on him, like he is looking up to him as he naturally does haha. Honestly, always was curious how Keicho would play out, knowing his Stand, Bad Company...and it works like a charm in this game! Love how this game in general references a lot of what the anime/manga has to offer- and Keicho’s GHA attack is radical to see! The camera work is fantastic! And he interacts with a fair bit of characters as well, some actually surprised me- like Stroheim! (Which I’ll be doodling something between him and Keicho very shorly...) Enjoy! And congrats to making it in, Keicho! Always loved him as a minor villain in Part 4- deserves more attention frankly.

Not to make myself sad about pre-diu okuyasu again, but I’m making myself sad about pre-diu okuyasu again

Okuyasu is one of my favorite characters becauee he has every reason on the world to be an antagonist and give up on the world and lash out etc etc

His father and brother were abusive to him, he was essentially cut off from other kids and anyone that could befriend him once keicho decided on his “mission”, he has an extremely destructive stand that leaves little evidence of destruction and especially none that could be explained by the police, his brother was killed right in front of him shortly after keicho had told okuyasu he himself deserved to die for beings stupid, he watched keicho hurt and kill people again and again with no consequences growing up… you get the point. He had no hope for the world.

But Josuke said “you don’t deserve to die” and that changed everything. That is the bare minimum of caring (which is fair, they had just met) and that was all it took to jumpstart okuyasu as he is in most of diu, extremely caring and loyal to his friends, a caretaker to his dad, actually going back to school and putting effort into making/maintaining friendships

Okuyasu spent ten years waiting for someone to tell him he didn’t deserve to die
