I decided to take down that god awful WoF ship opinions "story" I had up on my Wattpad cause like little me was pissy my fanfics weren't getting as much attention and wanted to prove a point that a low-effort "story" like that would get more attention. A ton of those opinions back then were just straight up bad. I agreed with some, but a ton were...not good.
One in particular that stood out was me constantly saying how the queer ships was just "forced diversity". Like...that's homophobic rhetoric. How'd that get in there. I claimed that Jamapple and Axolotl were tossed in because Tui wanted brownie points. What on earth. No????
I think I was just overall upset that queer characters were introduced that weren't given ample screentime, but it still felt too nitpicky. It's great we have a canon gay couple! It's great we have not one, but two canon characters with they/them pronouns. I don't care for TFOH and I think my biases against it followed as well, which sucks in general since I think it's really cool that queerness is being normalized through WoF.

it's kinda funny that some people seem to think eggman has a soft spot for kids or something because of his relationship with sage like have you guys not seen the way he interacts with 90 percent of the other characters in this franchise . hes constantly fighting with teenagers and little kids and putting them in danger he does NOTTTT care lmao

i love other zelda games especially totk but no video game intro will ever beat the beginning of botw for me. like. you wake up. you as the player know you’re link but link doesn’t know he’s link. the shrine of resurrection is so quiet and serene. there’s a gentle voice guiding you. you don’t know who it is. the door opens and the sun shines in from outside and you already know for sure that this place has not seen the sunlight for decades. you walk out into a world you don’t know. this is the first time you cannot name the main character. there is voice acting. what the fuck are you in for

Dr. Ivo Robontic was what one might call many things, but one of them was not stupid.
(There was no way he fell for the same trick twice. There’s no way he was going to be-left here to die again-)
But denying the truth as it spat him in the face, an angry robot that won't stop hating, metal healing over like a scab wound?
He wasn't stupid. He was just good at focusing on what mattered.
(Metal Sonic is Sonic Robotized, from the viewpoint of someone trying to not think about it.)

essays come naturally to me because I was BORN to yap. I was put on this planet to think way too much about everything. Essays just let me get those thoughts out on paper

Name: Ayla Marigold
Pronouns: She/they
Race: Half wood elf
Class: Rogue - Arcane trickster
Background: Sage
Romance: Gale
Personality: Friendly and affable. Due to increasing isolation as a teenager, developed a bit of a people pleasing streak, especially amongst friends and family. Will 100% commit to the bit and doesn’t think twice about using her rogue deception skills against other scoundrels and thieves. Due to her upbringing is generally wary of humans, and takes longer to warm up to them than to others. Endlessly curious and sometimes ends up in places she shouldn’t be because of it.
Backstory: Born to a wood elf mother and a human father, Ayla was primarily raised in the Cloak wood south of Baldur’s gate. Their childhood was relatively happy, although she grew increasingly discontented as she matured and her peers around her did not. Shortly after her 20th birthday they decided to leave and explore the world.
She ended up in Baldur’s Gate, spending much of her time reading and learning everything she couldn’t learn in the forest. While there they met up with their father, who taught them everything they knew about being a rogue. Unfortunately it ended badly when he left her high and dry after a job went wrong. They escaped, but was left with a sour taste in her mouth. She hadn't yet decided on what to do next when she was taken by the nautiloid, which quickly decided their path for them.
