Thank you! Here are five facts about Alice:

When she was small she used to play with ghost Catherine just like her children do today. These are her happiest childhood memories, but she'd never speak about it.

Before she eloped with Matt, she was starting to think of herself as an old maid. Which is one of the reasons why she wanted to make up for lost time when it came to having children.

She still thinks of James as her brother and of her grandparents as her parents. Even apart from that, she and Matt decided not to tell anyone about her true parentage. She was a bit concerned about this being a lie. But the truth would only give her and her children social disadvantages. On the other hand, she wants them to know Catherine's story one day.

She's rather scared of her unknown father's character coming through. Not so much in herself, but particularly in her sons, who like rough games and don't understand what's wrong with that.

She may not quote James so much any more, but she still firmly believes in the morally right thing to do.

I've been rewriting an old story of mine so my mind isn't as focused on LISISV, but that doesn't mean I don't have any good things to share :p.

Morgana:

When I started outlining the story, I never intending for Morgana to be sort of the "main character". In fact, I only had 2 chapters planned with her. It just so happened that the very first scene with Christopher and her just made me realise how interesting she is to write :)

Initially I planned for her to figure things out with Thornton (because story progression somehow always makes her pop like 10 children with him lol), but the more I was writing things out, the less "natural" that felt.

I also initially forgot that Leighton and her are like a male/female version of each other lol. So that they'd be a really great candidate together :) It's fun exploring their relationship actually!

Morgana straightens her hair. She originally has more curly/wavy hair. You can see that being the case in Chapter 3, where she's figuring out what to wear and just came out of the shower. And Chapter 4.

Chapter 4 was the moment she really hit rock bottom and didn't want to share much of herself to the world, basically cruising in autopilot. I tried to make her clothing look much more "low-effort" and her hair being just undone. In chapter 5, she was starting to get to terms with things a bit more, trying to be better not for her own sake, but to not seem 'broken' or something like that to Christopher.

1. are you named after anyone?

So the legend goes, since an aunt of mine couldn’t be my Godmother on the account of being on the other side of the planet, she got naming privileges. I was named after a good Venezuelan friend of hers. I have no idea how common my name is there, but here is sort of rare and people tend to either say it wrong the first time or slip into the closest sounding Portuguese name minutes later.

2. when was the last time you cried?

Depends. Out of anger to not break someone’s face? Last month. Out of feelings… can’t remember. It’s been a long while.

3. do you have kids?

I have very little patience for kids. I can deal with them for a few hours but 24/7 for 18 years? No, thank you.

4. do you use sarcasm a lot?

I have a PhD on it.

5. what sports do you play/have you played?

I did Karate for 3 years as part of my school’s extra-curricular sports, apart from P.E. I wanted gymnastics too, but classes tended to happen at the same time so I had to choose only one. I honestly loved it, in spite of being bruised all the time, had to stop when I went to University and never took it up again.

6. what’s the first thing you notice about other people?

Hair and then the eyes, because that’s what I used to enjoy drawing.

7. scary movies or happy endings?

Both. Both is good.

8. any special talents?

I was always at the top of the class in English, does that count? XD I can use Photoshop decently *shrug* I have no talents.

9. where were you born?

North of Portugal, where the country was born lol (you can google it)

10. what are your hobbies?

Photoshopping stuff and photography if I’m traveling. Was getting into cosplay when the pandemic happened and haven’t even been to events ever since. Was trying to go back into writing, but honestly, I am not good at it and after I finish this thing I have going on, I don’t think I’ll keep it up.

11. do you have any pets?

I have an almost 16 year old dog named Lucas. He was tossed into my garden as a puppy and we kept him.

12. how tall are you?

161 cm… 5’3”? I’m short.

13. fave subject in school?

English and E.V.T. (Educação Visual e Tecnológica / Visual and Technological Education, basically arts. I don’t think that subject still exists or has, at the very least, changed names. we’re talking 90’s here). I loved P.E. when it was either basketball or gymnastics or badminton. Hated when it was football, handball, volleyball or running XD

14. dream job?

I wanted to be a vet as a kid because I love animals, but I was/am dumb at Math and would never make it. Right now, if I could find a job in image editing or photography I’d be happy.

15. eye colour?

Brown. Regular ol’ brown, not the poetic amber or with gold flecks, just plain brown. My father and most of his brothers and sister had either green or blue eyes, wish I had them too.

Offspring :: What kind of parent would they be? Would they prefer one, or multiple?

James loves kids. He adores his nieces and often visits The Valley just to see them (and Eva, but not his parents...). He would like to have kids one day too, but James is very aware that it doesn't automatically mean he'll have them. For one, he would like to raise kids with someone he truly loves and at the moment he doesn't believe such a person exists for him. He is determined to be a different parent than the ones he grew up with though. Particularly, he would make sure his children would always be able to say what's on their mind and make sure they know they are loved no matter what. He would give them chores to do around the house, because he'd want his familyhome to stay tidy and everyone who lives there to share in that responsibility. And he would obviously actively encourage any form of creativity.

Fluff :: What hits their soft spot? Does anything them into emotional goo?

A lot of things touch Rachel emotionally: a heartwrenching story, the score to a movie, beautiful songlyrics. But the one thing guaranteed to always pull at her heartstrings is anything to do with animals. Rachel adores animals, big and small. As a child, she once cried for hours when her brother stepped on an ant. Injustice to animals keeps her up at night and even though she's shy around humans she doesn't know, that fades away when they're accompanied by a pet (as pictured above).

Question :: How often do they feel doubt? What topics are they defensive about?

Martha is usually very self-confident and unwavering about most things. There's not a lot that makes her doubt, worry, or question. However, Martha often does feel doubt when she thinks about the future and money in particular. All her life she's been used to getting by on very little and she desperately wants a future where money is not an issue, but often worries about how she'll get there and if the things she's doing now are helpful. When she was younger, she always shrugged it off when bullies commented on the weird way she was dressed (Edwards family fashion is... special...), but when someone would comment on the fact her family was poor, she would get defensive and bite back. Hard.

what was your inspiration to create your main oc? (pass the question on)

I think I've mentioned before that I pretty much had a dream about Jasper and Anna.

It was about two people meeting at a party and instantly having a connection.

It went somewhat differently in the story than in the dream, but the emotional aspect, I think, didn't change much.

Mind you, they both look fairly different in the story, at least he does. Like, I don't exactly remember what Jas looked like in the dream (you know how it can be with dreams).

In any case, I know I enjoy writing about them, even though they haven't appeared in some time... hmm, might want to fix that ;)

I'd probably say his eyes.

Generally I feel like whether Mel can be considered attractive is really a matter of opinion...but you can't deny that he has a hella nice eye colour.

I mean-

I rest my case.

🧠 : What is your OC’s most mentally attractive attribute?

Ufff...I think that can be really dependent on who you ask as well.

Generally what people tend to find the most attractive about him is a mix of personality, demeanor and how he expresses himself, not just verbally but in general: calm and subdued but not overly shy, self deprecating yet self reflected, sensitive but kinda reserved, sarcastic at times but very sincere, serious but still humorous in a subtle way. It's a weird amalgamation of these things. People who find interest in him and are observant tend to notice these patterns in him and find them intriguing somehow.

Simblr Gratitude Day

First of all I want to say a huge thank you to any and all of you who have read, liked or commented on my stories. I really appreciate any and all interaction with me and my stories. You keep me going when I feel like quitting.

At first I was uncomfortable with tagging individuals as I don't want anyone to feel left out or feel bad. I know all too well how that feels. Whether you're listed hear individually or not I want you know I appreciate seeing your sims on my dash are sorely missed when you're not there. ILY

@izayoichan - I love your story with and without pictures. Chris and Hayle have had my heart since the beginning. I love that when I have a problem I can come to you whether it be personal or simblr or writing related. Thank you for being a friend and sharing your sims with me being willing to read my stories and making suggestions that make them even better. And putting up with me when whine because your characters refuse to do what I want them to XD
