Synthesis.

One never knows all. What one can strive to do is to know enough, or at least enough not to be blindsided by those more knowlegdable than oneself.
There are mysteries in the Mecha Galaxy. Perhaps some have solved them, perhaps they just think they have and are barking up the wrong tree. What do I know?
Thanks to research done by Feng Jiang and Ben Rail we know the top Prescision workable on Mechs are 96 and top workable Dodge is 70. By studying the output from Mechs we can notice the effect of Kicback and, well not calculate, but know the odds of it happening and how much percentage damage it will deal.
The big remaining mystery is the relation between number of weapons on Mechs and how fast they fire. The more weapons you have, the faster one of them fires. Otherwise the Anzu would be king of the Mecha Galaxy as it fully upgraded and equipped to get max speed can get a speed of 264.
Some have speculated the relationship is a factor of the propositon of weapons, other hold it is the difference in numbers between the Mechs slugging it out.
Only the craftsmen knows….. --------- Reason I mention this is I recently tried to track down Dr Drake. The last place he is known to have been officially working was on Novum Dolorum. My inqueries was met by stiff resistence by the Sectorum brothers and eventually Tory herself. The mission was a near bust. I found an Illyrian Flare in the wreckage, but hundreds of Commanders had been there before me, so any notes were long gone.
My Antithesis, Ballerina, gave no more clues. But the name of the Mech class made me think.
In an old saying. "Thesis meets Antithesis and the result is Synthesis"
Thesis in this case should be todays most lethal Mech, and by blending its powers to the Antithesis, the result should be a Synthesis superior to all Mechs currently deployable.
Of course, one had to find what the most lethal Mech was first.
My view is that such a mech should have top Precision (Close to 96), top Dodge (Close to 70), The best weapon aquisation (1/3) and as high a speed as possible. The Mechs who get 1/3 weapons, and their fully developed stats at lvl 250 is:

As seen, todays buyable equipment leaves the 105 tonners behind.
The two fastest Mechs are the Cameron (95) and the Humbaba (84). The Humbaba`s two extra weapons will in all probability make it a bit faster, so that is the Thesis we have to mix the Antithesis with.

-- This is just the raw numbers of the abilities. What was needed was talking to those much more knowlegdable when it comes to Mech design and what is currently lacking of Mechtypes.
Suggestions and ideas I have heard over the years from masters willing to share, played a huge role in the design process. Any mistakes is more because of my faulty understanding than their plentiful and helpful advices. None mentioned and none forgotten.
The Mech currently lacking among the 100 tonners is a dedicated Laser Mech. Admittedly there is no Ice Mech there either, but the Boreas fulfills that role to such a degree that none is needed either. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Synthesis.

At this point it have the same equipment slots as the Humbaba; 8 Engines, 7 Chasis, 7 Cockpits and 5 Shields. -------
In the late 3334 the engineers at Trollwerk Limited, flush with the success of the newly built Cameron, started looking for an entry into the 100 ton class.
Taking a hard look at the current Mechs used by the Mercenary pilots, they decided to modify the best of these, the mighty Humbaba. The problems were manifold, primary of these were licencing arangements.
The solution was to build a bipedal Mech instead. The main computer was built on the lines from Dr Drakes mighty machine, the Antithesis. This computer is somewhat less capable than the original, but it still give targeting solutions well above the norm, and can eventually allow up to seven modules to mesh with it. Using subroutines that invade the targets datastreams, it will severly hamper the opponents firing solutions, although the odds of creating even a temporary shutdown of the targeting computer are low.
The carpace was another problem. Wishing to keep the Humbabas mix of equipment, it had to be really large. This led to a design that seem decidedly topheavy, but despite this it have a nimbleness few machines of its class can match. The roomy carpace does in addition allows room for seven evasive modules.
The material used was Depleted Uranium, encased in a Cadmium-Titanium alloy. The resulting armor is sturdy, although there might be some leakage of radioactivity. It is unfortunately somewhat vulnerable to fire, but have some limited defense versus all ather types of attacks. To further enhance the defensive capabilities, it can be fitted with up to five shielding modules.
The powerplant is the main reason the carpace had to be so roomy. The St-56s output rivals the powerplants of major cities, and can in addition to power up to eight engine modules still deliver excess energy to the overload capacitators. The capacitors may also be used to split the fire between two targets.
One big change had to be made from the original prospect. After putting all the equipment into the Mech, the room left over for mutinitions, coolants and volitables were severly limited. The answer, since the Mechs power output was so high, was to enhanche the energy weapon suite. Fully upgraded it will add more than two thirds additional power to the lasers.
