Do either try to hide their emotions if upset? Can the other still tell? Spinder is, unsurprisingly, good at hiding his emotions when he's upset. Isabel can tell sometimes, but it's often more of a context thing than being able to read it directly from him. For him, it's usually fairly obvious when she's trying to hide her emotions but it's also fairly obvious to everyone else too. If it's not anger (or horniness, though that one's most obvious to him personally) she's trying to tamp down on, though, it's generally harder for him to tell.

Do they have many heated arguments? How do they smooth things over? Not many, but for any disagreement that's a little intense they have a process for smoothing things over. Before they can apologize, they have to step away and stew/cool down for a bit. Usually that’s a few minutes, or maybe a few hours if it was a particularly intense argument or something else takes priority, but there have been a handful of times when it took them days or weeks to actually be able to talk through the issue and move on (at least one of those was a pretty heated disagreement but I’m not sure what it was about). The apologizing itself is usually easy. The hard part is the untangling that comes after that, but the cooldown period makes it easier to laugh at themselves a little bit (which usually involves being comedically overdramatic and calling each other names). Once one of them can kind of make a step toward explaining or compromising then they can make their way toward a resolution.

Who’s the bigger tease? Isabel, but only because she's more obvious about it. Spinder is, however, a master of pressing her buttons.

How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash? While they are good at compromising, they're also both stubborn, and have a tendency to get pissy at each other. But they each often have patience for things that the other doesn't, and they both try to help each other improve. And Spinder always lets Isabel eat off his plate, so it works out.

Do they always say 'i love you' before leaving? Not always. But they do always say goodbye and that kind of serves the same purpose.

Can they stay up all night just talking? Isabel can. At some point Spinder will inevitably doze off.

Who's more likely to pull the other in by the waist and kiss them passionately? I feel like this specific move is more of a Spinder thing. He's too short to just kiss her, though (she's 5' 9", he's 5' 2"), so she either has to catch on and play along, or he has to have a hand on her face to draw it down to his level.

How likely are they to have fur babies? How many and what kind? If they didn't spend half their time in space Isabel might get on a "let's get a dog" kick. She loves dogs (that's hands down her favorite part about visiting her mom: her mom's dog) but Spinder thinks dogs are too much work. However his ideal pet (which he will probably never have) is a horse, so he has less of a point than he feels he does.

How do they feel about PDA? They're chaste about it, but they also don't entirely consider being halfway in each other's space at all times PDA. That's just how they've been as friends for ~20 years.

Choose one song that perfectly describes their relationship. Back in high school/early college when I was writing Old Canon Spinder and Isabel, I imagined the coolest AMV for them to Lovesong by The Cure. It fit them a bit better back then but I'll stand by it (the AMV can only get cooler if it's set in space).

23. Who's more likely to convince the other to stay in bed come morning?

Bob makes a great case for himself to Abby to stay in bed in the morning, especially when she starts staying the night. His kisses are very convincing, as is his warmth.

30: Your OTP gets to pick out each other's outfits; what is each wearing?

Abby would put Bob in something like this, but make sure his curls were more on display a la Lewis’ hair at the Golden Globes.

Bob would have her wear lingerie in his specific shade of blue and a pair of black heels. Drives him absolutely wild, and it’s just for him, after all.

44. Who would dance in the kitchen making dinner? Would the other join in or watch from the doorway?

Spoiler alert: When Abby eventually stays the night, Bob finds her in the kitchen making breakfast the next morning. She's singing and dancing, and he just watches her, completely shocked that she stayed and mesmerized by the domesticity of it. He'd just watch her in panties and his shirt, and love every second.

60. Who pulls the other closer when they’re sleeping?

This one goes to Bob. After that first night in the penthouse, they fall asleep together, and he pulls her into him and holds her tight. I think he expects to wake up the next morning with Abby still in his arms, and he has to swallow the bitter disappointment that she's not.

My two favorite babies!

18 - How likely are they to have fur babies? How many and what kind?

Caro is a huge dog person. She has never met a dog that she doesn't like or who doesn't warm up to her within five minutes. She always planned on rewarding herself for becoming a chiropractor with a dog but Dalia coming along changed things. As a working single mom to a three-year-old, adopting a rescue dog seemed a bit too much even for her. 

When Fanboy entered the picture and they officially moved in together, they talked about getting a dog and had even visited several shelters with Dalia, but because of his deployments and Dalia still being too young, they decided to put it off until later. 

Eventually they do get a super cute lab mix when Dalia enters middle school and is old enough to help care for it. 

19 - How do they feel about PDA?

Surprisingly both actually rather enjoy a little bit of PDA.

When out in a large group, they tend to share a lot of quick and casual touches. Whether it's Fanboy putting an arm around Caro's shoulders while waiting for his turn in pool, Caro standing behind where he's sitting and looping her arms around him, or a quick peck when one gets up to leave, they're constantly showing their affection in little ways. They also have been known to slap the others' ass when a bit buzzed or just having a good time.

When they're hanging out with friends in someone's home, they're slightly more intimate. Caro will often sit with her legs in Fanboy's lap or glued side by side, holding hands with her head on his shoulder. They don't mind giving the other back rubs while chatting away with friends and other comforting gestures.

These two are also no stranger to quickies.

28 - What are there thoughts on pet names? Do they have any?

Caro exclusively uses "babe" and "baby" for Fanboy. This sometimes gets confusing as Caro also calls Dalia "baby." Over time, she's naturally shifted to only calling him baby around the house when Dalia's not around. As a result, she rarely calls him baby when out any more so it's usually just for soft moments alone.

Fanboy sticks to "babe" and "baby" in public but has a few more he uses around the house because they feel more intimate to him. He calls Dalia "cariño" and Caro "corazón." He tried calling Caro mami once and it just did not work for either of them.

48 - Who's the better driver?

They're about equal. Fanboy has better reaction time and stamina so he tends to be the road trip driver, but Caro is faster and knows how California driving works so she takes the short trips (i.e. Going to dinner, Meeting friends).

As for their driving weaknesses, Fanboy is easily distracted by his phone and constantly texts and drives, searches his playlists for a perfect song, or Googles answers to questions that pop in his head. Caro has reamed him out for this many times despite his claims that he manages high-tech weapons systems in an airplane while looking all around at the surroundings. (Caro's rebuttal to this is always that he's not actually the one flying the plane.) Fanboy is also a terrible backseat driver when in the car for over an hour. This is what originally started him being the road trip driver, but it also meant that Caro could commandeer his phone under the guise of DJ-ing for the trip while also reading out his texts and sending his dictated responses.

Caro, meanwhile, is horrible at all types of parking: pulling in, backing in, parallel parking, everything. She's constantly over or on the lines, and if she somehow manages to be within them, her car's at a weird diagonal and it probably took her two or three tries to get it in. There have been many times where Caro has frustratedly stormed out of the car, leaving Fanboy to switch seats and park it.

25. Despite their many differences, Lin and Zolt do share a few hobbies. They're both avid sports fans— especially when it comes to probending, boxing, and ostrich horse racing—and many of their dates involve going to see these events live. Zolt typically bets on the games, and Lin typically doesn't, but they can talk for hours about a single call at the probending arena and whether or not the refs got paid off. They also enjoy sparring together (sometimes with bending, sometimes just hand to hand) and exploring the Republic City food scene.

48. I'm going to say Lin is the better driver because she actually adheres to traffic laws. Zolt will do whatever he wants on the road, rules be damned, as long as it gets him from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time.

oh boy they sure do! they have a lot in common.

shooting

camping

hunting and fishing

drinking (big time whiskey and bourbon fans)

bar games (darts and pool and they're very competitive about trivia nights)

card games (raylan flirts with a poker addiction while tim prefers go fish)

sports (they both like to watch baseball and while they're not keen on playing full games they still like going to the batting cages and playing catch)

DIY projects and home repair (both of them have their own tool sets and while Raylan will call a plumber or electrician because he likes the luxury of hiring someone, they prefer doing most other improvements and fixes themselves -- Raylan's especially fond of outside work while Tim enjoys tinkering in the garage)

reading & book collecting ( they read different genres, but they still like sharing what they read with each other. raylan likes crime thrillers and westerns and the occasional nonfiction biography but also has a secret fondness for cheesy historical bodice ripper romance. meanwhile, tim fanatically sticks to YA fantasy but sometimes picks up the sort of monsterfucker romance that gets authors banned on amazon)

Favorite character: Serizawa c: hes a 6w5 so legally i must enjoy him but also i just like him ... he has curly hair and is cool OH AND TOME !!!! shes fun :) i dont fully remember my interesting thoughts on her but i enjoy her and how she works for reigen post canon. i think her weird girl charms get to me

Least Favorite character: uhhhh probably mogami or shous dad... theyre both just annoying like whateverrr stop being a dumb adult stop beefing with 15 year olds losers...

A random thought: i think reigen is one of the last tumblr sexymen before that term really became used as meaning: character im sick of seeing so much of... but also i could be wrong. also can everyone stop drawing serizawa with straight hair ... i know they do in the manga/anime but if he had curly hair before they cut and washed him then it wouldnt go away. thats not how hair works and i should know as ive lived with it for like years.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): i didnt realize how little there was of serizawa in the manga or the anime .. i feel like he had more when i first read it ???? anyway he should be there more .

Favourite friendship: i think mob and reigen are fun as friends :) especially as they grow older, i think the dynamic would be fun. also teru and ritsu are fun when theyre together. worlds most dramatic 12 year olds.

How I feel about this character: I like her !!! i feel like shes not talked about much outside of ships which is a shame because i feel like if people came together on her character (this includes people writing canon) then there could be a compelling character here that wouldnt deny her roots or just stay the same sort of trope she used to be. I cant deny i do enjoy that they occassionally dip into her little interest in tarot :) its nice to see that trait remembered.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: sonic of course, shadow, blaze a bit?, metal sonic anddd... yea thats it

My non-romantic OTP for this character: i think her with silver or knuckles is always fun :) idk why i think its because they bounce off of each other well. equal levels of no braincells happening here at least with silver. and with knuckles i feel like they could have a fun brother sister dynamic.

My unpopular opinion about this character: what is the popular opinion on her .... idk ill just use this as more of me talking about her character in general. i wish people would use her abandonment issues more, or at least like integrate that into her character since i think its a trait that shows up a bit in the little visual novel and in sonic frontiers and i think that makes sense as a trait for her

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: if she was ever playable again . I HAVENT played the sonic frontiers dlc but i think giving her a little spin off game ala the princess peach games would be fun. maybe then her team from sonic heros can be used again and i could like care about big and cream outside of them being sparingly used in canon .. and big not just being a joke ... also i just want more development for herrr im always begging for development or character in this series i know its for children but plsss also i wish they would like actually like .. fully deal with her whole thing with sonic... it feels like they wanna pretend her obsession just never happened and wasnt like the main thing with her character before they basically turned her into sally acorn.

My OTP: honestly ive really come around on amy x metal sonic :) i think mainly bc i cant see her with sonic at all (<- sonadow truther) and also i think it could be interesting if i thought about it more deeply

Let's do something different, with each question corresponding to a different ship! I know it says "OTP" asks but, unfortunately, the reality of being a multishipper is... well. This.

4. Doc Bryan/Nate Fick - Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’?

Neither of them need protecting, they can definitely handle themselves on their own. We know that, they both know that. But Doc Bryan's default existence/way he interacts with people he cares very deeply for is just. Manhandling, chastising, and worrying. It's like enrichment for him, ya know? So Nate lets Tim fuss over him and lets him worry, because if he doesn't, Tim will just worry more somehow. And if Tim yells at officers for putting his Captain in trouble, well. So long as he tacks on a sir at the end of it, they'll be fine.

13. Baberoe - Who’s the bigger tease?

LMAO, Eugene. Babe tries to give it as good as he's got, but he's unfortunately too impatient and gives in to his own game easily. Eugene, however, knows what he wants and is also very patient and will make Babe wait. RIP Edward Heffron, you were a good man.

19. Pasiphaë/Halsin - How do they feel about PDA?

Ok. So. Yeah, I snuck some BG3 in here, Halsin counts as a medic! Anyway. Halsin's touchy-feely. Has always been, even before they properly got together. I have this headcanon that he has a thing for Pasiphaë’s hair—it’s the first thing he noticed about her, apart from her eyes. He obviously can’t stare at her eyes and not get caught, though, so instead he focuses all his pining energy into maybe-sometimes-accidentally-but-also-on-purpose catching the end of her long pony tail/braid hybrid in his fingers. When they get together, though, it's incessant. But it's always Halsin initiating. Pasiphaë’s a little more shy; she's a widow, it's been years since she was touched like this, but she gradually warms up to the idea.

22. Spina/Julian - What reminds each of their partner?

That stupid knit hat haunts Julian everywhere he goes. Sometimes, he'll leave Ralph for a little bit, then brush against someone wearing a knit green hat, and immediately get this urge to chase that person down, because it might be Ralph! But no, it's just some other guy wearing a knit hat. It would be pretty adorable if Julian didn't feel so embarrassed about it.

On the other hand, Ralph-- "Oh! You're from Alabama? My boyfriends from Alabama, too!"

52. Describe their weekend getaway?

Okokok, I like to imagine them going to the wilderness, forest or mountains especially because they're Scandinavians and that's what feels most natural to them. Also because they're huge celebrities, they wanna avoid the cities for a bit.

Skwisgaar also happens to know a lot about camping because he ran away from home often as a child and he didn't have other family nor friends and he trusted nature more than people anyway. Dramatic, I know, but that's him. So for him it's like reconnecting with his roots and for Toki is like having the vacations he never had as a child.

So yeah, Skwistok camping for the weekend. Hiking, campfires, star-watching. Toki likes to collect rocks from every place they go to and also takes lots of pictures. Skwisgaar plays for hours under Toki's loving gaze, sometimes even attracting some curious animals. In my head, Skwisgaar is like a Disney princess except that instead of his singing, it's his playing.

They always return happy and revitalized from their getaways, and maybe covered in hickeys but that's another subject ready to start practing again :)

I think Jyn is more likely but I could see both tbh. they're animal people! with Cassian, I think pre-movie Captain Andor may be a little too practical and too emotionally detached to do more than help the animal if he has the chance, but he's not heartless so he'll help if he can. Jyn, I can see being the type who gets attached and wants to keep it. Cassian's like, Jyn. We're in the middle of a war. We live on a military base. We can't possibly afford [looks at both Jyn and the animal giving him the most heart-wrenching pleading eyes ever] Oh okay fine. But you're the one who gets this approved, I'm not dealing with the paperwork.

13. Who's the bigger tease?

Definitely Abby, but it's unintentional. Bob is so attuned to everything about her that even the smallest thing drives him insane–the man could literally smell that she'd changed her perfume. It's the heels, the hair, her eyes, her scent, her skin. Her calling him sir or Bobby makes him so fucking hot and bothered. He needs to go to horny jail.

15. Do they always say 'I love you' before leaving?

Yes, and if they can't say it aloud because of a situation they're in or the people around them, they'll say it non-verbally. I think squeezing their hand while passing them will be their quiet I love you.

58. Who’s more likely to hold a grudge after an argument?

I think this is pretty even, especially down the line when they've been together for a while. In the early stages, it's definitely Abby, though. If he pisses her off, she'll give him the cold shoulder. Strictly professional, no funny business, no answering his calls outside of work hours. He'll have to grovel for a bit, but he's not above doing that for Abby.

2. What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare?

i'm going to imagine Raylan waking up after a night terror about nicaragua.

Tim usually wakes up first, slow and silent and still. he doesn't try to touch Raylan or make him wake up too. Tim just makes sure he's there for Raylan when Raylan wakes himself up. Tim doesn't try to mask his breathing or close his eyes as Raylan rouses himself out of bed. if it's real bad, Tim will get up and go sit across the room so Raylan doesn't accidentally hit him, but otherwise he'll just lay there and wait it out.

Tim knows about enemies that wait for you to close your eyes before attacking. he knows it's bullshit to try and cuddle it away. to remind Raylan it was all a dream. none of that helps.

because if Raylan is a slut for vanilla ice cream i think he's a dairy bitch in general and whole glasses of milk outright.

he'll tell Raylan the time and that's better, kinder, than reminding Raylan where they are. not nicaragua. sometimes they talk about the dreams or the memories, but usually they'll just sit and watch tv together until Raylan's ready to go back to bed.

Tim doesn't try to be Raylan's hero. But he's always gonna be Raylan's back-up.

Tim runs cold so he's constantly "borrowing" Raylan's pullovers, especially Raylan's flannel.

Oh jfc Raylan, of course. Raylan our cowboy always has to be the HERO. He's definitely more outwardly protective of Tim in the traditional sense and demonstrates it through showy displays even though GUARD DOG Tim is more consistently protective and lowkey about it.

Raylan needs to be protected from others ... Tim needs to be protected from himself. Other people will harm Raylan if Tim doesn't step up, Tim will harm himself if Raylan doesn't take over.

Raylan doesn't hide his emotions. It's very apparent when he's upset both from the looks on his face and he vocalizes it. Tim has a bad habit of hiding his emotions and Raylan is usually too busy and wrapped up in his own shit. Either they're outright fighting about something right off the bat or Tim has swallowed his upset and Raylan doesn't have a clue. It can take ages for Raylan to realize something is off and has been for a while.

Raylan: ...you're pissed at me - you been pissed at me.

Tim: Have been for a while, thanks for noticing.

45. Can they fall asleep without the other?

yes, they can do it but they both drink more at night to compensate for the absence.

Tim gets too used to falling asleep with Raylan around and can have a hard time adjusting when they have to be apart for long periods. Sleeping alone makes Tim feel vulnerable. Because Raylan is a night owl and Tim is an early bird, Tim likes that when he falls asleep Raylan is still awake. he sleeps like shit without Raylan as he wake up periodically throughout the night.

Raylan just likes the company, likes knowing Tim is there for him to look at and touch whenever he wants, so misses it something fierce when Tim isn't there. He also hates making his own coffee in the morning and is horrible at getting himself up. Raylan chronically runs late without Tim in their bed and Raylan's sleep habits suffer big time. he'll start taking more naps, dozing off on the sofa in the evenings.

Favorite thing about them: His pure of heart, dumb of ass nature... idk! I just feel like his bombastic, friendly personality is so lovable. I was invested in him from the second I met him! He just leaves such an impact with his silly but earnest personality. I love how determined he is, how he's got these big emotions and how much he believes in Blackquill and isn't scared of him one bit even though everyone else is because he sees Blackquill's raw potential. Waaaa. It's nice. Least favorite thing about them: Beyond him tasing Blackquill, um. What they did to his character by having him get murdered off-screen before the game starts lol. I think the way they did the Phantom twist was incredibly lame and I've talked extensively about it before so I'll spare y'all and just link the posts where I've bitched about it instead. 1 | 2

I haven't thought about it in a while so my opinions may have changed a bit idk just read these KRKFNM Second post isn't mine but I did leave a fucking tag essay so there's that. I do plan on replaying Dual Destinies soon to see what I feel about the game after knowing everything I do now, though. Favorite line: idk if it's a favorite line exactly but my favorite moment with him is in Turnabout Academy where he pops out of the art room window and is like "oh it's y'all!! in justice we trust!!" and helps out Athena and Apollo while Athena excitedly greets him n Klav and Apollo are like ??? It's so cute. brOTP: Ummm him with Ema is pretty fun! I want all the detectives to be buddies, and I think that Ema would originally be so pissed off and annoyed by him, but come to appreciate his earnestness and kindness. I think once she cools off and becomes a proper forensic detective she'd mellow out and be much more open to befriending people she works with. I think they'd get along very well. I also like the headcanons where Bobby really looks up to Gumshoe, so I like their dynamic too.

I also think him and Yuty would be fun. I think Nahyuta would be annoyed by Fulbright at first like Ema, though. But Fulbright probably fills a similar environmental niche to Datz, so I think Nahyuta could deal with him eventually. I imagined this scenario (admittedly in a shippy sense-- I think Madhibright is a funny ship and kinda cute, but I don't actually ship it anymore, they're just pals) where they meet post-SOJ and thought it'd be fun. Here's that post I made. OTP: Blackbright, I guess! IDK, I don't ship as much for him as I used to, but this is still my number one. I LOVE their dynamic in DD, I love the possibilities of what a dynamic could be like post-DD had he lived, so on. They're definitely Together but it might be kind of an unlabeled grey area friendship gay thing too. I don't know KRKF but I like them a lot! It's fun. I think they're very cute. nOTP: I dunno. Who are they gonna ship him with if not Blackquill? The Phantom? I've seen cute stuff with the Phantom and him as buddies that I find interesting. I wouldn't call romantically shipping them a NOTP, it's just vaguely weird but I don't really care at all. So, none I guess. Random headcanon: He's from the South and has a Southern accent!!! I love giving characters I like Southern accents it's kind of a thing I do if I have an excuse to, lol. It's why like half the Tazmily villagers were written with accents during my Mother 3 fanfic days. I think it suits him, idk why. It's better than the goofy ass voice they gave him in DD 😭 Unpopular opinion: idk. I don't know what people think about him, aside from him being another character the AA subreddit will try to convince you just absolutely sucks. Aside from, like, I don't know, I think it's a bit off sometimes if AUs where Bobby lives that people try to put all the blame for shitty behavior towards Blackquill on the Phantom. I get why, but I think sometimes it's worth examining how his position of power could be harmful to Blackquill regardless of his pure intentions or whatever. He's a cop, after all.

I know some people are uncomfortable with the ethics of a ship with Blackquill while he's still in prison (which is why some folks will specifically only interpret Blackbright as a post-DD thing) but I'm also like. idk I think THAT'S worth examining too! By people smarter than me. I'm not doing it KRKF I just find their dynamics interesting, warts and all.

2. What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare?

They'd hold each other, for sure. Tab's more likely to wake up manic, though, complete with him gasping for air and trying to grab at whatever to convince himself he's awake now. Nat wakes up with him, usually, and is quick to just hold him and soothe him by either talking to him, or humming. Nat, otoh, has nightmares quietly, and wakes up just as quietly, so Tab doesn't usually wake up with her. He only realizes she had a nightmare when he wakes up unable to breathe because she's holding him so tight.

8. What happens if one of them gets sick?

They both have loads of practice taking care of sick people, so their bed side manners are pretty damn good. They both get real adamant that the other shouldn't get sick, though, so cuddles are off. It's why there's a spare bed under their own bed for moments like this.

13. Who’s the bigger tease?

Natalie HAHAHAHAHA Tab thinks it's him, but it's Natalie, especially the more she's comfortable with her femininity? Ooohhh, Tab doesn't stand a chance. Every fic I write where they end up having sex starts with Natalie deliberately doing something she knows he can't resist, and either Tab fully falling for it, or Tab teasing her back, as well as he could. Then it's their little game to see who breaks first. But Nat almost always starts it.
