Sigyn lived on the streets until the Queen chose to personally mentor her. In order to earn her place she becomes a handmaiden to Prince Loki. At first Loki tries to get rid of her but Sigyn won't be bullied so easily. Eventually Sigyn and Loki become close friends and confidants. Soon enough they fall in love. Just one problem. Sigyn is a servant and elligible for Loki's hand in marraige. She is offered an arranged marraige to another. However, Loki comes up with another solution.
