So, I have a headcanon regarding Outlander and Valkorion
Spoiler territory for pretty much the whole game (mostly Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior class stories and all expansions from Shadows of Revan).
How does Outlander (especially non Force user) defeat Valkorion in KotET? This question bothered me (and I'm sure all of you) for quite some time. And frankly, the game doesn't answer it very well. So I did some thinking, searching and theorizing, and found a solution that I will bring in my personal stories. Just thought it would be interesting for others to see as well.
Explanations offered in the game:
Valkorion's power had become weaker at some point (as noted by Arcann in chapter 8 "Taking Flight", and indicated by events on Ziost, since Theron wasn't possessed, and by Valkorion in chapter 9 "Eternal Throne", when he said that he needed Vaylin's power to destroy Outlander's mind);
Arcann and Vaylin helped defeat him;
The holocron was the instrument of Valkorion's defeat (but it's never properly explained how exactly);
The "kneel before the dragon of Zakuul" phrase worked on Valkorion because the Outlander said so.
It doesn't sound too bad, but when I tried to go into details, it didn't make much sense. "My mind, my rules" was really out of nowhere, also kinda goes against the previous experience of Outlander not being able to do anything about Valkorion before that. And Arcann and Vaylin being on your side isn't the key either because even the three of them were still losing, it only changed after the main character said the key phrase. And why the heck does it even work like that? Because they said so? Gee, should've thought about it a few chapters before, no?
Now, what I came up with doesn't really go much different from that, I just made some adjustments to make it flow better (at least for myself). I'll talk through my thoughts in chronological order, so bear with me (I tried to summarize it at the end, so scroll if you want the short version).
Vitiate learned to transfer his spirit as one of the ways to be immortal. It can happen either through a ritual, which is preferable since it's easier, doesn't weaken him, and he doesn't need time to adjust, but it does require consent from a person, or killing the previous host, which does weaken him for some time. The longer he has possessed a host, the greater the loss of power will be upon the transfer. It's not to say that he isn't dangerous, quite the opposite, but perhaps he can't do some 'impossible' things (like consume a planet or shatter a mind) just like that.
He was at his full power before the events on Belsavis and Voss, timeline wise. Remember how easily he possessed the minds of the Jedi on the strike team? Yeah, Jedi Knight broke free, but that's bc they're super strong (and the main character in their storyline).
But because of Baras Vitiate had to be released from the body on Voss by being killed, which made him slightly weaker, just enough for the Hero of Tython to kill him again on Dromund Kaas. That made him lose more power (because he possessed this body for much longer than that Voss), and Vitiate tried to find a new host and regain his power (either by Revan reviving him or consuming all life on Ziost). His attempts were not successful, so he retreated to Zakuul.
That would explain why after being 'killed' yet again on Zakuul (thus losing two of his main hosts) Valkorion wasn't powerful enough to possess the Outlander's mind (regardless of their class). He was in a pretty vulnerable position, so he came up with a plan. We'll get to it. For now, Valkorion understands that if the Outlander dies, he'll be even weaker and probably won't be able to get a new host, so he protects the Outlander while pushing them to use his power.
Every time the Outlander agrees to do so gives Valkorion more control over their body, and even if they never agree, the bond grows stronger as time passes, it's just faster when Outlander uses his power. Eventually it would be just strong enough for Valkorion to use the main character's body without their permission (like in chapter 16). But he's still not powerful enough to break their mind, so he goes to the next part of the plan.
Valkorion manipulated the main character into killing Vaylin (and Arcann, if applicable) because he needed to consume her power to destroy Outlander's mind (which is what happens in chapter 9). But he made a couple mistakes in doing so. First, he underestimated how smart Commander is, and how the bond allowed them to take his form to survive. Second, by consuming Vaylin's spirit, Valkorion gained not just her strength, but also her weakness, which is the conditioning.
But wait, didn't Vaylin free herself from it? Sort of. I saw a suggestion from another player that Vaylin didn't get rid of conditioning itself, but rather the lever that triggers it. It's possible because the process on Nathema didn't exactly according to the plan. And because of that, Valkorion also gained her conditioning after consuming her spirit.
So, what does that mean? What does it do? Well, I think that when the key phrase is said in presence of Vaylin, she temporarily loses her connection to the Force (or it becomes so weak that she can't use it), thus isn't a threat. And the same happens to Valkorion when the main character attempts to use it on him in KotET chapter 9, at least for long enough for the Outlander to kill him. This way the victory isn't dependent on one's power in the Force, and it fits a non Force sensitive Commander as well.
What about the holocron? I explain this as it only binds, commands and releases spirits, as we see with lord Dramath. It's not the key to Valkorion's destruction, but it is still important because it is used to free Vaylin's spirit from Valkorion after her death (and Arcann's, if applicable), which gives Outlander a potential powerful ally.
[Just a little addition that has very little to do with my explanation, but wanted to mention - in the throne room, when Valkorion breaks Outlander's mind, he takes over the body and attacks your companions. They hold off long enough for Commander to put their mind back, and at that moment Valky loses control, and the body is unconscious.]
So, to sum it up:
Valkorion is weaker after being killed on Voss, Dromund Kaas and Zakuul, hence why the Outlander can resist him, regardless of theirconnection to the Force;
the holocron found on Nathema can bind, command and release spirits, which allows Outlander to free Vaylin (and Arcann, if applicable) from Valkorion;
the bond formed between Valkorion and Commander allowed the latter to survive after having their mind destroyed;
Vaylin didn't completely get rid of the conditioning on Nathema because the process didn't go as it should've, it just removed the trigger;
by consuming Vaylin's spirit Valkorion gained both her strength and her weakness - her conditioning, that's why it worked on him, and it temporarily weakened his connection to the Force.
I know this isn't perfect, there are probably plot holes that I haven't noticed or poorly explained, but I like it much more. Why do I even bother with this explanation?
I just love doing mental gymnastics around KotFE-ET, and this particular part was difficult yet entertaining to figure out.
But honestly, probably most important reason is that it works for every class (so even non Force-users are fitting here) because strength in the Force is not the key. Valkorion underestimated how observant and clever Outlander is, and I think it works better for their characters.

New outfit! (hello clipping issiues, my old enemy)
I was hesitant about this one for a couple of reasons. First, I didn't think Jett needed another outfit, mandalorian armor is not something you change like gloves, but I could always come up with an explanation.
Second, in the original version of this setup I wanted different leg plates (from Frontline Scourge set), but since it's from cartel market I cannot afford it. For quite some time I couldn't find a suitable replacement, and when I finally did, it was a replica of a set from pvp seasons, so I had to do, ugh, pvp seasons for about 3 weeks (I like pvp, but I don't like when it's needed for the grind).
Third, I wasn't sure if the style would even fit Jett, but now I think it works with some adjustments, like the cape is not that long and big (that's just impractical), jetpack is there (really wish they made versions of chest pieces with and without jetpacks, like they did with hoods), there is some armoring on the shoulders, and the sides of her ribs are protected as well.
In the end, it was a pain to get (mostly bc of Ruhnuk and pvp grind), but I'm very pleased with the result.

OC Tag Game
Tagged by @raven-of-domain-kwaad, thank you! I'll be keeping it within SWTOR characters since I just focus on them here.
No pressure tag (if you feel like it): @vespertine-legacy, @astrifer-bound, @mmigrainee, @chaoticspacefam, @spitzobsessed
Favorite OC - Jett
Tumblr media
Not surprising. As much as I love my other characters (Auletta don't kill me), Jett just gotta be my favorite. Bounty hunter storyline being one of my favorites definitely affects this, but there is much more to this. She is this 'tough on the outside, softie on the inside' type of character that I just adore, I love her personal arcs about trauma, meaningful connections and leadership. And of course strong badass Mando women are just cool and get an instant liking from me :) I can go on for hours on this, but let's move on.
More under the cut.
Newest OC - Beirya and Zin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had more ideas for new characters after I made Rya and Zin, but they are not yet actual characters that I plan to develop. So these two are my newest at the moment.
Oldest OC - Auletta
Tumblr media
Technically, the first character I ever rolled in SWTOR was smuggler, but I didn't keep her in any way, so it's Auletta. Although she looked slightly different and was assassin instead of sorcerer in the game (which doesn't fit her background), the core of her character remained the same.
Meanest OC - Jaria
Tumblr media
It's a tough spot between some of my characters, but when others can be polite or maybe it's not their nature to be rude (they just do it for others reasons), Jaria is unapologetically mean to people almost all the time (only shutting up if it saves her skin or gives an advantage).
Softest OC - Shailla and Lorri
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(there are actually two more but I wanted to keep it short)
They are just so kind and gentle, striving to do more good in this imperfect galaxy. I mean, there is a reason why Lorri is often considered the heart of her little found family.
Most aloof/standoffish OC - Xaele and Jaria
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Xaele in general is pretty distant from the world and even her own actions, which fit well for agent's life. And Jaria is, honestly, pretty mistrusting, and after being separated from her sister, probably the only person she gave a Hutt about, Jaria couldn't form meaningful connections with other people, so she's a loner. Plus she's mostly interested in self-gain and money, and she doesn't care how she gets it.
Dumbest (affectionate) OC - Vintu
Tumblr media
Well, there may be others, but no one radiates chaotic dumbass energy like Vintu (yeah, not even smugglers, though they are close). Just look at his dumb face.
Smartest OC - Auletta and Elixess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would betray Auletta by not including her here. She is a quick learner, a schemer, always hungry for knowledge and information. She's very good at using all available knowledge and information to get the best out of her situation, whatever it might be (back in slavery, in Sith Academy, Dark Council, you name it). The only period when Auletta made kinda dumb decisions was around chapters 1 and 2 of Inquisitor storyline, mostly bc she was drunk on power and freedom, testing how far she can go. But when she failed to kill Thanaton for the second time, Auletta adapted and got the best out of it.
Elixess is similar in many ways, except she doesn't have the same malicious intent as Auletta and maybe not as nerdy. She is a quick thinker, which helps her talk her way out of most trouble and see possibilities for profit. Also, I just thought having a smuggler as one of the smartest characters is funny.
(actually, there are more characters who are on the same level, but I wanted to mention these two)
Horniest OC - Vintu and Jaria
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jaria just likes to flirt around and have one-night stands almost every time she visits a new place (Mako got tired of it real quick). Shame that bounty hunters don't have a lot of flirt options with NPCs other than companions. And Vintu... well, for my own sanity we have an agreement - he doesn't tell much about his private life, and I don't get to know much about it. Let's just say that when he's with Jaesa they are very active, and even after he's done with her, Vintu still hits on a lot of people.
OC you'd bang - none
I'm way too asexual for that.
OC you'd be best friends with - Raen and Alaine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both of them are great friend material. Raen shares some of my interests (that weren't a bit of self-insert to begin with, no no), so she can tolerate a bit of infodumping about special interests from me. She's generally fun to be around, except for maybe when she's being chased by law enforcement or when she's sleeping. Plus we might have 'introvert adopted by an extrovert' dynamiс in a good way.
Alaine is someone I could trust to discuss a lot of complicated topics without being judged harshly. And she's a good person and a reliable friend in general, so great to have her as a friend. Alaine is more of "calls me out on my shit" friend, and Raen is more of "tags along with my shit" friend, and I definitely need both these types of friends.

oooh I love outfit memes. How about Shailla and/or Jett? <3 -Oliver
@voidendron why not both?
So, Shailla has 6 outfits (putting them under the cut bc this is going to a long post. Yes, I'm showing all of them).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are her simple robes, which she wears in chapter 1 of consular story.
Pieces:
First outfit: all the pieces are from Vrook Lamar armor set, no headgear, no dye. Second outfit:
Head - nothing (none of her outfits have headgear, so I'll skip this from on); Chest - Visas Marr robes, white and pale green dye (colors unified for all pieces); Hands - Visas Marr gloves; Wrists - Visas Marr bracers; Waist - Visas Marr belt; Legs - Freelance Hunter Greaves; Feet - Freelance Hunter boots.
Tumblr media
This is her more practical clothing (for battlefields and that sort of stuff) when she's given the rank of Jedi Master, wears this from chapter 2 of consular story and until she leaves the Order.
Pieces: all pieces are from Exiled Knight armor set with olive green and tan dye module; except the pants, which are from Jarael armor set.
Tumblr media
This is another set of robes that Shailla wears around the same time as the previous outfit, just for formal meetings, diplomacy, teaching, etc.
Pieces:
Chest - Zeyd cloth tunic, no dye, colors unified. Hands - something like this (can't remember exactly); Wrists - something small, doesn't really matter; Waist - Visas Marr belt; Legs - Freelance Hunter Greaves; Feet - Freelance Hunter boots.
Tumblr media
Now this is her clothing when Shailla was, ahem, "encouraged" to leave the Republic and the Jedi Order, which happened soon after the treaty with Zakuul (bc Saresh really didn't like that Shailla pushed for this treaty and went behind her back with a couple of senators to arrange the negotiations with Zakuul). This outfit stays for the duration of KotFE and KotET and some time after. Probably my favorite outfit of hers.
Pieces:
Chest - Veteran Outlander Force-Lord robe, no dye, colors are unified; Hands - Outlander gloves (can be found on GTN); Wrists - some small bracers, doesn't matter; Waist - Remnant Yavin Consular belt Legs - Freelance Hunter Greaves; Feet - Onderonian Force-Lord (tier 1).
Tumblr media
Remember that Arcann gifts the Outlander a piece of armor that he made? Well, in my version he didn't give it to Jett, the actual Outlander of this legacy (bc why? Jett barely tolerates his presence and tries to avoid dealing with him a lot in KotET). Instead, it is gifted to Shailla, with whom Arcann has a better connection at that point, and I decided to turn it into an outfit. I didn't think that the armor given in the game (same as what Knights of Zakuul wear) would fit Shailla's style, but I still wanted it to have some light armoring and a little of Zakuulan style, so I mixed different pieces. The result is pretty nice IMO.
Pieces:
Chest - Ruthless Scion, forest camo dye, colors are unified; Hands - Eternal Commander Stalker gloves (the metallic part is actually supposed to be more gold, like the rest of the outfit); Wrists - something small, doesn't matter; Waist - Underworld Anarchist belt; Legs - Veda Cloth leggings; Feet - Ossus Explorer boots.
Also, I find it interesting that Shailla is one of a few Force sensitive characters of mine who has the same lightsaber throughout the whole game.
---------------
Now, onto Jett's only 3 main outfits (there are more than 3 slots, but the additional ones are for helmet/no helmet variations, damn you preferred status).
Tumblr media
This is the outfit that Jett has before and during the Great Hunt. I didn't even think that the chestpiece from Infamous Bounty Hunter set would be such a good fit for her pre-Mando days (bc initially I bought the set for her Mando outfit), but it's the closest to what I imagined.
Pieces:
Head - nothing; Chest - Infamous Bounty Hunter chestpiece, primary black dye, colors unified; Hands - Drifter gloves; Wrists - Impulsive Adventurer bracers (invisible ones); Waist - Infamous Bounty Hunter belt; Legs - Force Apprentice pants; Feet - Underworld Anarchist boots.
Tumblr media
And here is her mandalorian armor! I know that this set is probably overused at this point, but it's so cool looking (can you really blame me?). Jett doesn't get the whole set right from the moment she accepts Mandalore's offer, just the basic pieces (like chestpiece, boots and gloves), and then, as the story goes, she adds more to the armor. For example, she doesn't have a jetpack until around Hoth, and when she does, it takes quite a bit to use it efficiently. Most of the weapons in the bracers are also added later.
Pieces:
Head - Infamous Bounty Hunter helmet, black and deep red dye; Chest - Mandalorian Stormbringer chestpiece, primary black dye; Hands - Infamous Bounty Hunter gloves; Wrists - Infamous Bounty Hunter bracers (matching the chestpiece colors); Waist - Mandalorian Stormbringer belt (matching the chestpiece colors); Legs - Infamous Bounty Hunter pants (matching the chestpiece colors); Feet - Mandalorian Stormbringer boots, black and deep red dye (I think?).
Tumblr media
And the last outfit (for now, I'm considering another one) is her armor that she wears as the Alliance Commander. Probably the most expensive outfit I put together to this day, and still it doesn't perfectly reflect how I see her armor (but at least it looks pretty good in-game).
So, at the beginning of KotFE some parts of her previous armor (bracers, belt, helmet, jetpack) are taken away for safety reasons when she is Arcann's prisoner. Unfortunately, Jett doesn't have the opportunity or time to get them back, and that's why she runs the first few KotFE chapters pretty under geared. When she gets back to her home on Rishi, Jett modifies the pieces she still has, and the armor looks more like this outfit. Of course, her rough work doesn't compare to what could've been done with a proper forge, but at the time all she had is some old tools left by Shae's clan.
Luckily, when she is reunited with the Mandalorians, Jett finally gets the chance to forge new armor, and she makes up for the lost parts - gets a new helmet, jetpack, armor platings. It's different from the previous armor she had, and it sort of symbolizes her new role as the Alliance Commander.
Helmet is different from the in-game outfit (bc I cannot afford it, it would be from Charismatic Mandalorian set). And unlike in SWTOR, she actually has a jetpack.
Pieces:
Head - Infamous Bounty Hunter helmet, black and deep red dye; Chest - Proficient Hitman chestpiece, dark gray and dark blue dye; Hands - Infamous Bounty Hunter gloves; Wrists - Infamous Bounty Hunter bracers (matching the chestpiece colors); Waist - Furious Gladiator belt; Legs - Furious Gladiator pants, dark blue and dark gray dye; Feet - Proficient Hitman boots (matching the chestpiece colors).
Bonus:
Tumblr media
Shailla's first outfit would actually look more like this, but unfortunately I couldn't find a good dye close to this color, so I left in the original red color in game (this picture is edited, not actually from the game).

Pride asks for Xaele, Kyira, Bal’sara: 4 and 10
and for you: 14 and 17
💜
4. Is your oc's environment supportive about their identity? How does this impact them?
Tumblr media
Well, Kyira isn't queer, so I'm not sure this question applies here. (although she's flattered if she gives off queer vibes)
Tumblr media
Xaele, agenderfluid asexual lesbian, they/them or she/her
(Congratulations, this question made me reevaluate their identity, so it's different from what I previously said)
With Xaele it's more interesting. Admittedly, I don't know enough Chiss lore, so no idea how they treat queer identities. I want to think that it has little meaning in their society, and that could lead Xaele to not question their identity bc it's irrelevant. When it comes to Imperial Intelligence, they were a little concerned that Xaele might not use seduction when it is useful bc of their asexuality. However, it's not a big problem for Xaele - while she doesn't like it, she sacrifices a lot more than just comfort for the job.
It did influence the way they see intimacy - as a tool, not something they can actually enjoy for the sake of pleasure. When it comes up in the relationship with Lana, it needs a lot of work. Takes a lot of trust and learning from Xaele to do it, but in the end it works out.
Tumblr media
Bal'sara, bisexual cis woman, she/her
First, I'll give my thoughts about how Jedi probably view this in general, and then how it impacted Bal specifically.
I don't see the Jedi being homo/trans/aphobic bc why would they be? Jedi strive for knowledge, to understand the world around them and within them. They seek to achieve harmony, and that can't be done if you do not know yourself or have an internal conflict. Pretty sure the Jedi teach younglings and padawans about different identities and all that, so they wouldn't feel scared or confused or misunderstood when discovering their own identities.
As to how it impacted Bal'sara - positively. When she started having doubts and questions about her identity, she went to either her master or whoever was in charge of teaching this stuff, and they helped her navigate through this. In her free time Bal did more self-exploration, tried different things, and before she was knighted, she was already confident in her identity as cisgender bisexual woman.
10. Does your oc celebrate Pride? How?
I'm not sure how I would approach the concept of Pride in Star Wars (and tbh I know little about it irl), so this is more of 'what if my characters existed in real life'.
Xaele - probably not, they have too much going on and no time or energy to celebrate. She appreciates its existence though.
Kyira - tags along with her queer friends if they celebrate.
Bal'sara - hell yeah she would celebrate with her girlfriend.
14. Do you have ocs on the aro or ace spectrum?
Yes! Their number grew bigger especially after me realizing that I'm ace and learning more about nuances in ace and aro spectrums. Admittedly, I don't have a lot of aromantic characters, but maybe it's bc they haven't told me yet.
Xaele, Myk and Rykeer are asexual; Shailla and Drechard are demisexual; Auletta and Lorri are aroace.
Also, I'm beginning to think Jett is somewhere on the asexual spectrum as well, but no specific label yet (maybe grey asexual?)
And Jaria strikes me as aromantic, but I'm reluctant about this bc for now she would be my only aromantic OC, and that's a bit problematic, considering her personality. (yeah, I have two aroace characters, but to me aroace is a little different to asexual or aromantic)
17. Do you share identity with any of your ocs? Which ones?
Well, I'm not yet completely set in my identity (it's mostly to do with aromantic spectrum and gender identity), but any asexual character has this in common with me (see above).

3, 5, and 15 for Jett? -Oliver 🌹
Thank you, Oliver/@voidendron ️
(I'm aware that it has been a week, when it was intended to be posted last weekend, and I'm sorry for this, blame executive dysfunction)
Tumblr media
3. How does their social personality differ from how they act when they’re alone?
The way she acts when she's alone doesn't change much throughout the years, but her social personality sure does.
During childhood, her social personality didn't differ much from how she acted alone, mostly because Jett didn't have many opportunities to socialize. Her very existence was kept hidden (as a safety measure from people trying to hunt down her parents), which meant limited contact with strangers. For the most part she spent time with friends, teacher or father, and she was pretty comfortable to be herself with them, so not many differences. Somewhat more silly, cheery and competitive with friends, more excited to learn and share new things with the teacher, reserved and awkward with strangers, sort of like this.
Then on Nar Shaddaa things change quite a bit. After a number of devastating events, Jett was left alone to deal with everything that happened recently. She took on bounty hunting to survive (since it was what she knew best), and at that age (14-15) a lot of people didn't take her seriously, so she acted more tough, distant and serious. Plus the recent death of her friend and being left by her father, for both of which she blamed and hated herself, led Jett to not wanting people in her life, and that only reinforced her distant and sarcastic, at times even rude attitude towards pretty much everyone. But when she was alone (which is often, considering that she specifically tried to avoid contact with people outside necessary), Jett was acting more or less the same - a bit more silly, doing things she likes and trying to enjoy herself (even though this was difficult exactly because she was alone).
At the time of the class story and first expansions, as she allows connection, friendship and love in her life again, Jett drops the tough act a little. She's still reserved and serious around strangers, but with the crew she's enjoying what they have. She isn't often alone at this time period, but she behaves the same as with her crew.
During the time of the Alliance, Jett rarely has time for herself, and when she does, she can afford to be more relaxed, reckless, silly, etc. But as the Alliance Commander, Jett has to be more responsible, decisive, caring, other than that, she's mostly acting the same.
5. Do they have a “tell” for when they’re lying?
Jett can get away with small lies or something she prepared beforehand, but sometimes her hands become restless while lying (like tapping fingers on a nearby object, fidgeting, etc.). She was quite embarrassed when her friend pointed that out, and to hide it better Jett started to throw in some hand movement here and there, so it's not easy to tell if she's lying or not.
15. Are their greatest flaw and their greatest strength related and in what way? (ie very caring and helpful but a doormat, or very observant and shrewd but often paranoid)
Hooo boy, for sure.
Her stubbornness, for example. Sure, it helps her in hunting down tough targets, getting through hard times, achieving goals like winning the Great Hunt, but just as often it makes things worse. Sometimes Jett is too stubborn to stop doing something even if it's not worth it, or to admit that she was wrong about something. It even (at least partially) caused some of her worst failures, like getting badly injured and almost revealing her existence to people who were hunting her family because she couldn't sit and wait for her father to deal with them, or refusing to evacuate from Marr's ship and as the result almost dying and loosing 5 years of her life.
Jett cares a great deal about her friends and loved ones, but a lot of this care comes from fear of hurting them in one way or another, be it by being unintentionally inconsiderate (which may happen bc of her tough and sarcastic act) and hurting their feelings, putting them in danger bc of the nature of her job and desire for adventures, or not being able to protect from said danger. More so at the early stages of her relationships with the crew, because a huge part of her character arc is learning to deal with this fear and guilt, so at the time of first expansions (RotHC and SoR) Jett has gotten much better at it. Still, it would be untrue to say that this fear (caused by trauma) is gone and never affects her from that point - it is a part of her life.
There are more qualities like this, but they are small, and mentioning them all would take quite some time (and at this point I've struggled with this post so much that I don't want to risk another week long delay).

Next generation characters in Lette legacy
I've been thinking a lot lately about how my version of in-game events is going to be for my main character, and I'm starting to develop new characters for this (bc obviously it can't be Jett, Shailla, Raen and Auletta forever). These characters are not super detailed yet, and so far I've only given some background and roles in future stories, but wanted to share bc I already love them.
Tumblr media
Beirya Kerre, next leader of the Alliance. Yup, Jett isn't gonna be Commander forever (the reason is her leaving the Alliance at some point so she can focus more on Mando stuff and just her life), and Rya will take her place (well, people of Alliance will choose her).
Rya was found by the Jedi as a child and trained as one. She was somewhat struggling with meeting all the standards of the Jedi, but unfortunately she didn't have the opportunity to go through trials - when she was 13 her master was killed on a world invaded by Zakuul. Rya couldn't leave this planet because of Star Fortress, but she used her lacking training to survive and help people a little.
Almost 5 years after her master's death she stumbled upon Jett who also got trapped on this world (long story, but it was before the Alliance was formed, before chapter 9, and Jett didn't know about Star Fortresses). Rya helped her get off-world using Star Fortress and decided to stick with Jett to join the Alliance, as she felt she could help people more this way (and prove to herself that not being a perfect Jedi doesn't prevent her from being a useful person).
In the Alliance she trained under Jedi, Sith, Voss and other Force-sensitive groups. Being surrounded by such a diverse group and getting inspired by Jett that she doesn't have to be a Jedi to help and lead, Rya has gotten more confident in her abilities. While she was training, she was also helping the Alliance a lot, and people remembered that. She was showing signs of a good leader, so her being chosen as next Commander was only natural.

Zinilev Lok. That's right, he's also from clan Lok. Zin is actually Artus' nephew (son of his brother. I don't care that there's no information on Mandalore's family, I say he has a brother. at least in this legacy). Born 10 years ATC, Zin was a wanted child, and his parents were somewhat overprotective over him. Not that they didn't train him as a Mandalorian, just were not keen on putting him in dangerous situations until he's old enough.
Zin got to meet Jett after she accepted Mandalore's offer (she even participated in his training at clan gatherings) often enough to remember her even at an early age.
When Zakuul invaded the rest of the known galaxy, Zin stood with his clan and helped where he could (he was just 7 by that time). One of the battles was especially hard for Mandalorians, being overwhelmed by sheer numbers of Skytroopers and might of Knights of Zakuul. Zin was hidden by his parents but he still could watch the battle. And he saw his clan losing many warriors. He panicked and escaped the battlefield, hoping that someone from clan Lok would survive and find him later. It will be years (it will happen in chapter 14 of KotFE) before he learns that Mandalore with the rest of clan Lok had perished in this battle.
He was ashamed by this act (to say the least), and while it was concerning that no one found him, Zin was also a little relieved by this fact, thinking he disgraced his himself and clan Lok rightfully exiled him for cowardice. Hiding on transports, he eventually ended up on Rishi. Zin knew it was previously the location of clan Vizla, but didn't find anyone there. He stayed on Rishi, not knowing where else to go or what else to do.
After around 4 years of living like this, he found an intruder at clan Vizla'a former base. To his surprise, the intruder turned out to be Jett (whom he thought to be dead). Zin was afraid she was there to punish him for cowardice and abandoning his clan, but she had no idea. He lied about the reason of him not being with their clan. That lie didn't hold up for long, but Jett didn't judge or get mad at him. Instead, she offered to come with her and try finding surviving Mandalorians and maybe fight Zakuul in the meantime (again, this happens before chapter 9 and Alliance).
After chapter 14 Zin was left with Mandalore until she would figure out what to do with him. The answer will come to her soon after - Shae assigns Zin to stay with Commander and work to prove himself.
Jett had a huge influence on his life - she replaced his lost parents as much as possible, helped him with guilt and shame (bc she went through something similar before), and after a lot of effort Zin grew into a capable and honorable warrior.
Also, as both grew up in the Alliance, Beirya and Zin formed a strong friendship.
(btw these outfits are placeholders because the ones I actually want for them are too expensive. damn you forced preferred status)

Send me 2+ characters and a number, and I’ll tell you who would win: 6, 16 and 25 for Jett and Auletta though I feel like none of these will end well shssjwj Also sending you lots of hugs 🫂💗
thank you 💜
6. A game of twister
Hard to say, but I think it would go similarly to how it went with Airistan - they're both are alright at it, but Auletta would be too stubborn to win so she would try again and again until she wins more times.
(and mental picture of them tying twister is still too funny to take it seriously)
16. Hide and Seek/Manhunt
Heh, a Sith Lord who will hunt you down if she decided so, or a bounty hunter who will hunt you down if she decided so? They're both excellent at finding people, so the question is who would be better at hiding? In this case I'd say Jett because of one little headcanon I have for my Outlander characters - they become very difficult (if not impossible) to sense through the Force during because of long-time exposure to Valkorion, which would make it harder for Auletta to find her opponent (as she relies heavily on the Force). So a win for Jett.
25. A staring contest
Auletta, without a doubt. She will stare people right into the eyes until they get uncomfortable and leave, so staring contest is really not a problem for her. Plus Jett is generally not good with eye contact, which makes it even easier for Auletta.

Jett: If I had a dollar for every ounce of rage I felt in my body after I read this text, I would have enough money to buy a cannon to fire at you. HK-51: Unnecessary correction: Actually, master, I did the math. Gault would have $225, not $0.15. Gault: I’m right here…. Mako: If I had a dollar I would buy a can of soda :) Blizz: while you’re there could you buy me an apply juice please Mako: Sorry I only have a dollar. Blizz: :( HK-51: Unnecessary correction: I just realized I was wrong, Gault would have $22,500, because it's a dollar for every pixel, not a cent. Blizz: If I had $22,500 I would buy a can of soda and an apply juice. Gault: You can buy anything you want with $22,500. Jett: Yeah, and he wants soda and apply juice. Gault: Apply juice to what. Jett: Directly to the forehead. Torian: … Torian: Great chat guys.

Tumblr media
Shailla - open the floodgates
your frustration turns into tears quickly. the strength of your fury is so potent that it sets off the waterworks out of pure rage. you hate it, because whoever's pissed you off thinks it's funny, like you're not tough and you can't defend yourself. you can, you just need to get through the haze of emotions first
Okay, I didn’t expect it to be more accurate than even I knew. Shailla isn’t an angry type usually, and I struggled to think how would she behave if something actually managed to anger her. This description put it to words better than I could. Anger is an emotion she was taught to be cautious about, and while Shailla is pretty good at handling emotions, anger is a bit more difficult because of the Jedi Code. She realizes that anger is natural but potentially dangerous, so there’s a bit of guilt when she’s angered. She tried to keep under control, but can’t stop feeling it, so it comes out as tears. However, her rage is (I think) never too strong, and she recovers quickly.
Tumblr media
Jett - step back
usually, you're able to bottle up your emotions and ignore the frustrations. but, after weeks of shoving everything down, your body needs a release, and i pity the poor person who managed to piss you off. it's screaming crying, shouting, kicking lockers, whatever you can do to get it out of your system. it's a whole jean grey moment, fire and fury blasting out of you
Yeah, pretty much. Jett covers up anger with sarcasm and sass, then unleashes it. She knows this can be hurtful, so she tries to keep something she can break when release happens. Unfortunately that’s not always the case, but if there are people around Jett does everything she can to not hurt them. She gets better at this with years bc she made some stupid decisions or got hurt out of anger in past.

Tumblr media
Airistan - the full read
whoever pisses you off is in for a rant that exposes every single one of their deepest insecurities and issues. your rage gives you the clarity to hunt for weak spots in a person's mind. your brain works fast, firing off insults at a rapid-fire pace that terrifies everyone within a ten mile radius. this is usually followed by buckets of guilt
I wan’t planning on adding a third character, but the first result I got for Jett didn’t exactly fit her. Then I realised it’s accurate for Airistan, so might as well inlcude her. As much as I make Jett sassy, she almost never wants to insult people, but Airistan... well, she’s not afraid to speak her mind, even if it’s not good, and usually does so when angered. And oh boy does she have negative opinion on many subjects and people. Doesn’t mean she won’t regret some of it in future, but it took her years after class story to start working on the issue.
