I've been a Ayreon fan for years but the best thing about Ayreon was that they introduced me Oceans of Slumber.
When i listened to Transitus i fell in love with Cammie Gilbert's voice and fell in love even harder with her band. Oceans of Slumber is a beautiful heavy band with a poignant melancholy in every lyric.

OCEANS OF SLUMBER Tease New Album with Single + Video 'Poem of Fire', Announce Tour
The end of each year is a welcome time for reflection. OCEANS OF SLUMBER have spent the winter immersed in the vibrant lifeblood of Bogotá, Colombia. They’ve have wrapped themselves in the city’s intense emotions of longing. But after signing to Season of Mist in 2023, the progressive metal band are also embracing the powerful force of change while recording their new album.

Did my Spoofy Wrapped this year! I miss the "these are the artists you've found" segments. I hate that they seem to have replaced it with some dumb astrology-esc thing. At least i still see my top songs and artists.

Abby hours
(School is killing me, have some old Transitus art)
I drew this around the time I was first doing hardcore redesigns for the Transitus characters. Like each one I did came with an essay on why this and this and this was historically innacurate. Abby’s Act II dress especially threw me off, and I tore into it so badly in aforementioned essays that I honestly felt bad.
I wasn’t really able to articulate this at the time but what bothered me so much about the original designs wasn’t that they weren’t 1 to 1 comparisons of 1880s clothing, but more that they barely did any storytelling at all. That’s another post.
The point is I wanted to sorta prove to myself that Abby’s (supposedly) mourning gown could still fit the mood of this dark asf story, and this drawing happened. I think the intent was something like “if we’re leaning into super light fabrics that show off the figure like that we should incorporate Christian/Catholic imagery since it kind of does that anyway.”
Something like that. I don’t remember the exact details 😅
