biba my beloved bls <3 im glad you took time off heh it's what you DESERVE!!!! i've been watching that youtuber for years now bc i found him thru dark souls videos and i was so so so excited to see him doing elden ring too!!

but like with radahn the thing was they released a patch and it made him easier right so they released another patch like a few days after and reverted it and in the patch notes it said 'fixed issue with unintentionally lower damage values' or whatever DJFKLSJDLK they were trying to blame them nerfing him on an accident </3

we're pretty close to each other i believe!!! i really enjoyed maliketh too i ended up using my mimic for the fight bc i was getting frustrated but in general i've been trying to solo the main story bosses 😭 i just beat godfrey 2.0 and i was thankfully able to solo him but biba biba BIBA! i was getting MAD! he's so fcking fast it's unreal in the second phase its just a prayer and a dream that you get out of those combos otherwise its grab into 8 piece combo into 3 piece combo into a different grab into an ARENA WIDE AOE! into a THIRD DIFFERENT GRAB i thought i was gonna see god by the time i was out of there i was SO T-T but i got thru it that's all that matters it's over and DONE!

but yes i did go to the haligtree indeed and took care of loretta and our dearly beloved malenia <3 it's funny bc i could do the first phase solo then i would die in the second so what i ended up doing was i brought mimic in for the first phase then sent her away during the second so i could fight malenia one on one in the second phase just bc i really wanted to experience that and ahhh it was so amazing and so much fun i really loved that fight sm and i already want to go back and fight her again right away just astounding but personally! i don't think she was the hardest across all souls games! her two nasty combos are indeed awful and took out my whole health bar and i was level 175 but tbh if you took those two combos out of the picture then she wasn't too awful for me personally, i know everyone's experiences are different tho <3 i actually found godrey 2.0 to be much much more different just bc of his second phase and the almost sekiro-like dodge timing you have to have to get through his combos flkgjdklfgd

im on the radagon fight now and oh my GOD! biba! it's so phenomenal! i mean im sure you've seen it but holy shit experiencing it is another level of amazing and tbh i don't find elden beast to be that bad? i haven't been having issues with him at all honestly but i've simply been learning the moves and timing my dodges so that might change when im finally ready to get Into the fight! im gonna solo them both tho i think bc it's honestly just such a fun and cool and visually stunning fight that i want to experience it like that T-T

i've done almost all dungeons yeah!!! npcs,,,,kinda?,,,,i kinda got several locked out bc of the ranni questline which is apparently how its supposed to go SAD! i would love to try a greatsword build but uMMMM godfrey alone is so fucking fast that i dont think i'll do that T-T part of me is really tempted to try a faith build tho bc that's not something i've ever tried to do? i would love to explore that lkjdfklsjlk but you're so right about the spells like they have so many in this game i think it's more than any of the previous games? and i wanna try them ALL T-T like if they're gonna put pretty and cool spells in then i should use them!!! i THINK after radagon and elden beast i'll let it sit and stew tho i dont wanna rush back in too quickly bc i wasnnt just !!! feel the aftermath!!! im very particular about my fromsoft games as you can see dlkfjsldkfjsldkf

Two words that you've used as an excuse and an apology when you couldn't join your friends at house parties, when a classmate asks you out, or when your phone notifications go crazy because you still weren't home at 5 PM — it was a tiring cycle.

You know they were simply looking out for you but you can't help but feel overwhelmed and exhausted for always being monitored and left out. You couldn't possibly ask your peers to adjust to your parents' standards, you thought it shameless because they already had a hard time with your folks reaching out and interrogating them about your school and social life.

With so much of your life being tracked by them, you deserve at least one thing in your control, right?

Hobie Brown, the school troublemaker. Skips class, vandalizes school property, and actively participates in movements against authority. Frankly, he just does whatever he wants. And he had your respect (+ jealousy). It must've been nice to be so free.

You and Hobie were never given the chance to befriend each other before — you had some classes together but he rarely ever showed up to any of them. You had no reason to approach him and vice versa.

Until, Wednesday — your cello performance. God, you don't know why you insisted to your parents you could handle commuting to the concert venue on your own with the heavy as fuck cello slung around your torso. You had your book bag with you as well because you had just finished school. The bus stop was a few more blocks away but you were tired.

You weren't paying much attention to your surroundings, busy focusing on your aching shoulder. So once you saw the pedestrian lane green signal, you didn't think twice before walking, failing to notice the bicycle riding full speed to your direction. Your eyes widen when a strong force pulled you back, making you stumble a bit and see the bike dart just in front of you.

"Aye, watch it!" you hear the cyclist exclaim.

You back was leaning against the tall figure, looking up to see a familiar face. You regain your balance and face him — Hobie Brown, the boy that just saved your life. "I-It was green– green meant it was safe to walk... I should've looked first, 'm sorry," you say quietly.

"Nah yeah, it's straight. He was the arse," he replies, hands in his pockets. "Dunno where he got the audacity to tell you off when he was in the wrong. Don't worry abou' it." He gives you a reassuring smile, noticing your still dazed expression.

"Thank you, Hobie," you say, a small polite smile on your lips.

He smiles back and nods, "'Twas nothin'." His eyes hover on the unignorable instrument case you were carrying. "Ya headed somewhere?"

"Uhh, yeah," you say, watching the pedestrian stop light turn red again and pouting a bit. You probably won't be late to the performance but you'd miss most of final rehearsal. "Nueva Hall. I have a cello performance in a bit."

"Nueva Hall.. That fuckin' massive, fancy lookin' museum along 5th Ave?" he asks, his eyebrows rising a bit from amazement. "Didn't know you were a big shot musician. Let me get for ya, then." He swings the case from your torso and starts walking across the street before you could protest.

"Hey!" you exclaim, running after him, dodging the other pedestrians walking past you.

"It's a bit distant from here, innit? Let me take you there, I got time. Wouldn't want you to croak before the big show," he jests, turning around and walking backwards. "If it's fine with you, [Name], of course."

You weren't too keen on traveling alone; you only did so so that your parents would think you were independent enough. You consider it for a few moments. "Are you sure I wouldn't be bothering you with this?"

"'Course not. 'Was the one who suggested, wasn't I?" He smirks before turning back around to walk properly and you catch up to his side. "What're you playin'?"

"Tchaikovsky, Rococo Variation. It's a cello and orchestra performance and I got to play cello," you say excitedly. "You're in a band, right? It's like a lead singer but cello!"

He smiles softly at your energy, feeling his cheeks warm up a bit. "How'd you know I was in a band?" he asks almost teasingly.

"I walked by one of your public concerts with my family. I would've stayed if my parents let me," you answer with a small laugh. "You were amazing, by the way."

"Thanks, mate. You're probably not too bad yourself," he says, chuckling as you playfully hit his shoulder.

It was safe to say you hit it off well, which was surprising since you didn't think you would. You thought your personalities would clash, you being at the quieter side while Hobie, you could hear his ruckus from another dimension (and there was a tiny part of you that was intimidated at him, at first).

You arrived at the venue earlier than expected — still late to rehearsals but not by much. "Hey, thanks again. I really appreciate it," you say to him just outside the concert hall doors.

He handed you your cello and waved off your thank you. "It was a pleasure," he teases and you roll your eyes. "Break a leg, [Name]." You thank him once again before he turns around to leave.

Seeing him walk away gave you an unfamiliar ache in your chest. After a much needed self-courage-boost, you let out a soft but loud enough "Wait." for him to hear. He turns around with a small smile and raises an eyebrow, silently asking you to go on. You wet your lips before taking a deep breathe. "Do you want to stay for the show?"

His smile widens, a handsome grin reaching ear to ear. "Finally. 've been waitin' the entire trip for that offer." He laughs and jogs back to you.

He sits at the back row. When he entered the room, he got a few stares and hushed whispers from the other audiences but he couldn't care less, his attention was unwaveringly stuck on you. It was just rehearsals but it overwhelmed Hobie to think about how you'd do in the real thing. He was entranced by you the entire time. The movement of your bow and the emotions you protrayed. It was magnetic.

Once practice was over, the musicians left the stage for a bit as audiences started to pour in. With guests on the older side with more formal attires, it was so obvious that he was out of place.

Meanwhile, you were panicking a bit because after you got changed out of your school uniform, you neared the stage's curtains to check up on Hobie. Your mouth gapes when you see him sat at the back row, almost directly behind your parents. Your parents! You forgot about your parents!! How did you forget about your parents??! They'd go crazy once they knew that you had invited this boy to your performance — you never invite your friends, let alone anybody, to watch your performances.

The second it was time for the musicians to come on stage, Hobie's head rises from his phone and looks for your figure immediately, smiling once he notices your wardrobe change. It was a simple long-sleeve black dress but it was pretty on you. Hobie thought so.

Your take deep breathes to calm your nerves before situating the cello between your thighs. You wait for the violins, the flutes, and the organ to start playing the intro before propping up the cello's bow. With your head held high, you play the first few notes — the position of your hands finding its own way around the fingerboard like muscle memory.

The music closes to an end, claps and praises erupt the venue. You smile and stand to find Hobie. He was already making his way to you. You leave the cello leaning safely on your chair as you scurry to the stairs of the sides of the stage.

"Hobie!" you greet as you reached him. "How did I do? Was I rushing? What'd you think of it?" you ask, rambling almost. If Spiderpunk gets his adrenaline from his fights, you get it from instances that make your heart feel like its about to burst into a million burnt pieces of flesh in your chest.

He smiles back at you, amused. He's never seen this side of you before. He's never seen anything of you other than your surface-level calmness and pliance. "'ts not usually my thing but I know to appreciate talent. Credit when credit is due and all tha' and, luv, you absolutely smashed it!" he exclaims as quietly as exclaiming can allow, placing both hands on you shoulders and shaking them.

"Thanks," you giggle out, placing your hands on his arm. From the corner of your peripheral vision, you notice your parents on their way to you, confused looks on their faces. Your smile falters as you gently loosen Hobie's hold on you, the adrenaline slowly dying down.

"[Name], amazing as always," your mother says, holding your hand in hers' and caressing your cheek with the other. "Who's your friend?" she quickly asks. Her judgmental eyes scan his appearance from head to toe, attempting to hide her expression with a faux smile.

Hobie was about to introduce himself when you cut him off. "–He's a classmate, Hobie Brown." You look into his eyes apologizing and almost pleading to him to go along with whatever you were about to say. "He came here by pure coincidence, could you believe that?!"

"Yeah, a friend gave me an invitation," he follows up seamlessly, a polite smile on his lips. "'Didn't know your daugh'er was performin'."

"Well, it's a nice surprise, isn't it?" you mother says, pulling you to her side.

Your father had yet to contribute to the conversation so you checked up on hi.. He was glaring at Hobie so harshly you could see burn marks starting to appear on his forehead. "Did you enjoy the show?" he finally asks, tone almost threatening.

Your cheeks start to flush in embarrassment. It wasn't uncommon for your parents to ask about the boys you talk to but it never felt any less humiliating every time it happens. You see each and every one of them get uncomfortable and you couldn't do anything to stop them because they'd think you were hiding something.

"Yeah, I enjoyed [Name]'s performance a lot. You must be very proud of her, Mr. [Last Name]," Hobie answers. You've talked to him long enough to notice the slight teasing in his voice. He smirks at you which makes your father's hands turn into fists.

"Honey," you mother calls, "We'll be late for our dinner reservation. It was really nice to meet you, Hobie, but we have to go." Her smile was still plastered across her face, you wonder why her cheeks hasn't hurt yet. She tells you to collect your stuff and you do so quickly. You bid Hobie an apologetic goodbye before you leave.

On the car to the restaurant, you were given the 'no boyfriends' talk again. You tried to respond with 'mhmm's and 'uh-huh's here and there but you weren't listening to a thing — having heard them repeat the same points many times before. You wondered how to approach Hobie the next day, thinking of stuff to say, how to bring it up, and how to act once he says he doesn't want to get involved with you anymore. It was a shame since you really enjoyed his company.

You wished that Hobie went to school the next day and he did, surprisingly. After classes, you catch up to him leaving the building to speak to him.

You were supposed to explain to him the situation but it seemed he was already up to pace and accepting. "The things is," you pause for a bit, "I really liked hanging out with you.." you confess.

"Hey, wait up!" you yell, running to reach him before he got too far. He paused in his tracks, hands in his vest pockets as he watches you catch your breath. "About yesterday..–"

"Nah, I get it," he interrupts you. "Strict parents and shit. It's cool if your folks don't want you hanging out with me anymore. It sucks but I get it." He was disappointed but chill about the entire thing which made your heart sink. You really didn't want to stop seeing him again. You wondered if he felt the same.

A small gentle smile stretches his lips. "I really liked hanging out with you, too. A lot. Best time I've had in a while, honestly."

You contemplate on what to say next — whether to let them out or not. You mouth gapes open, waiting on your next words. You were about to give him an apology but seeing his eyes, hearing that he liked your company maybe as much as you did, it made the decision so much more difficult. ..Fuck it. "I'd like to continue spending time with you.. even if it meant disobeying my parents. If it's alright with you, of course." You feel your ears heat up as you look down, scared of what the other's reaction might be.

It was rather obvious that Hobie didn't expect it, his eyes widening by a fraction. A big smirk appears on his face as he leans down to catch your eyes. "'Must've left quite the impression on you, huh?" he teases. He watches your eyes roll as you playfully shove his shoulder. "Well, I do love a good rebellion."

"It's not a rebellion."

"It's painfully close then, isn't it?"

Hello! A new user here..! I really like your art but i want to know you guys’ thoughts on the octatrio when they do shenanigans in the mafia au! (For eg: Floyd getting bored during a mission/task or Jade getting a bit too carried away and poisons his victims with his mushrooms 😭) ngl i think it would be very chaotic

The boys really do shenanigans in this AU as well, tomfoolery follows them everywhere lol and there are a lot of things that I would love to draw and can’t really share yet (sorry hehe). But, I’ll share a couple of our thoughts!

Floyd gets bored during his tasks quite regularly. For example, he knows how to drive and actually drives quite well, but sometimes he gets bored and either starts driving very fast or just stops driving altogether and tries to switch places with Jade mid-road. Azul always yells at him when he does that, but Floyd doesn’t care – he doesn’t want to drive anymore. This is why Jade is usually the one to drive them around.

Those cute stickers on Jade’s sniper rifle are Floyd’s present. He just thought they looked cute and dumb. And neat.

Floyd always has a gun, but he doesn’t really like shooting, he prefers fistfights. Especially when they have to fight several people at once, Floyd always has a lot of fun during these situations. He also really likes fighting with the stuff he sees around the room. One time he got hit on his head with a chair, and he was ecstatic about it, he laughed so hard he almost choked himself. The only thing that he doesn’t like is that it’s difficult to clean his costumes and shoes because of all this blood, but well, Jade is in charge of that.

Jade really has a lot of mushroom-based poison. Sometimes he “accidentally” leaves a bottle near the water bottles in his car, risking poor Azul’s life. That “prank” never really works though, because Azul checks things 478194 times before drinking anything from Jade.

Jade also has a big collection of all kinds of weapons, he loves them, both guns and knives. Whatever free time he doesn’t spend on mushrooms, he spends on his weapon collection. Sometimes he polishes his gun while humming gleefully, just to make Azul uneasy.

Welp, these ones are surprisingly Tweel-focused, but I guess Azul just tries to do his business and doesn’t fool around as much lol

Once again sorry for the late response I was at practice and let me tell you it was THE BEST one I had in a while.

We opened music and my fav setter came (she only comes on Fridays cuz she studies alot) so I was so hyped and got some great spikes in so I am happy!!

Also I decided to write it as a headcannon I hope you don't mind <3 PS: I've never watched any of the X-Men except Apocalypse and I barely know anything about the characters/storylines, so I apologize in advance if some things aren't accurate!

Ever since you were a little girl, your brothers had always been protective of you. Whenever you had issues with anything at school or in your personal life as you grew older, they were always first to jump in and take care of you.

And their protectiveness only got worse when they realized that unlike them, you weren't a mutant.

You used to love the attention; you felt loved and cared about but now, it all seemed too much. You were always given speeches about how you shouldn't get too close to the mutants, or how you shouldn't show too much skin when going out.

When your parents kicked them out of the house, you decided to follow them without any second thought. You had clearly told your parents that if they couldn't accept your brothers, then they shouldn't be accepting you either. They made their choice, and so did you.

When it comes to your romantic life, Alex and Scott weren't making things easy for you. They always insisted on meeting your boyfriends. They wanted to make sure they treated you right.

You were grateful for them, really, but it seemed like they still treated you like a kid and that was beyond annoying.

When the three of you joined the X-Mansion they were constantly behind you, mostly because you were human and they were afraid of the other mutant's reactions. Fortunately, it really wasn't a big deal for anyone and you easily made new trustworthy friends, so your brothers eventually left you alone.

But they were still wary of your male friends, especially one of them.

"Where were you this morning? Were you with Warren?” Your brothers didn’t seem to enjoy the idea of you even being around Warren. You knew the reason for their hatred towards the idea was because of his past as one of Apocalypse's horsemen, but you knew he was far from being the bad guy everyone painted him out to be.

"Yes, I was with Warren." you replied, sighing. "We were just hanging out, Alex, It wasn’t anything special. And even if it was, that would be none of your business."

Warren on the other hand knew his feelings were far from 'not being anything special'.

Ever since you were introduced to each other, you had never once judged him for anything. You never brought up his past, unlike some other mutants did, and you immediately made him feel welcomed and comfortable around you.

The two of you quickly grew closer and bonded over lots of things. You often sneaked into his dorm late at night to have a movie marathon, or just lay on his bed and talk about everything and nothing while you just stared at the ceiling (and got drunk on biggest occasions, without your brothers ever knowing about it, obviously).

The day Warren opened up to you about his wings and scars was the day you realized how strong your feelings for him actually were. The fact that he trusted you enough to share his story with you made your heart swell, and from that day on, you promised to never let anyone hurt him.

After a few weeks, Alex and Scott (being the overprotective brothers that they are) quickly figured out that something was going on between you and Warren. Wether you were actually dating, flirting innocently or just close friends, they didn't know, but they still weren't fond of any of these ideas. Warren also figured that your brothers knew something as he always caught them glaring at him in a not so friendly way when he walked past them.

But you and Warren ended up dating anyway.

You were the first to admit your feelings during one of these lonely night where the two of you would just lay there and talk. Although Warren definitely reciprocated your feelings, he was a little bit taken aback and started rambling about your brothers, but you shut him up with a kiss, assuring him that Alex and Scott had no control over your romantic life, wether they like it or not.

When you made your relationship official, your brothers had a long conversation with you but you barely listened, only rolled your eyes every so often. You weren't really in the mood to hear the same lecture you heard almost everyday since you were a kid.

They obviously had a conversation with Warren as well, promising to break his jaw if he ever hurt you.

But you trusted Warren, more than you'd ever trusted any of your past lovers. Unlike many other people, Warren made you feel safe. You knew your brothers would have a hard time accepting your relationship, but you hoped they would eventually see him the way that you do, and realize he's far from being the villain everyone think he is.

NOW ABOUT THE NEW CHAPTER: this chapter was so sweet (but still deep) aaah so many feels!!! i think this is my second favourite chapter (after chapter 4). i loved the humour in it!! some lines are funny despite the seriousness of the moment like “whose poker face is out of the world.” because this is the most annie thing ever, though i know the context of the line is very serious, guilt is eating her here. just like the whole situation with the trap, it’s very light hearted then it gets so serious, annie really takes it to heart, you can see she wanted to accomplish something good and be in control again. this garden so important for her but it’s nice she has a goal to work on. this line : “You had once laughed about it, but now you wonder if it was a stress response all along.” pretty much sums up the atmosphere here.

Annie is drowning in guilt and the only thing reader wants is to to minimize it for her. even if it she fails at it.

exactly 🥺 to everyone else the garden is just plants and they'll grow again - but it's one of the things she put the most effort into on the farm, so seeing it 'vandalized' represents more than just the lost veggies. to her, it's about a threat to the life that she's worked so hard to make for herself. she's never had a home like this and she's terrified that if she can't keep up with it, then she'll lose everything. even if it's just a rabbit in the garden. you're absolutely right.

“Shut up,” she fires back, and halfway hides her face behind her hands.” was so funny when she was being romantic not even 30 seconds before lmao. and then “Annie’s face lights up. She throws her arms in the air and shouts: “Vindicatiooooon!” in triumph” was hands down the funniest part of the fic, annie seems that type of person that are funny without trying/wanting to and this moment is exactly it lmao. the scene with papa when they come out of the barn is i think the second funniest part adkhfjdh talking about him, the relationship with papa is so well developed! and i love how you portray his character. “Is it the same reason you’ve been putting on so much makeup lately?” was so expected from him, it’s not surprising that he’s a very observant person, he is the one who raised annie after all.

one thing i love about writing Annie is that no matter how serious a scene is, she'll nearly always reaches a point where it's suddenly Too Much and she gets so embarrassed/starts to shut down. it's so quintessentially 💕 her 💕 yknow?? hehe

LMAOOO i ain't gonna lie, Papa is my favorite character to write. in canon he's........... a real piece of shit. but he clearly loves Annie so i can fix him. he has the potential to grow so much and to be such a positive influence for her if he actually made the effort to step up.

Each time, you..” this part hurts though, he’s really trying to understand what is going on and is trying to help but i understand reader, it isn’t easy for her either and even if it’s not really comparable to what annie had to endure, she went through some stuff too, she has her own things to process. ““Whatever you’re doing,” Papa says, more quietly and to you this time, “it’s working. Keep it up.”” was so cute!! he cares so much about his daughter, i love the relationship he has with reader and annie as a couple.

it hurts me too 😰 yes reader definitely has her own trauma! and she is NOT dealing with it and just pushing it down. and she won't let Annie see how she feels, so Papa is her only real option. chapter 7 will be his big chapter and i am SO excited to write it akfshkswj

he notices everything that happens. he may not bring every little thing up in conversation, but at this point Papa knows their relationship well enough that he can tell when their dynamic is off. she's the best at watching and waiting because her dad is, too.

and once again the little details!! like : “across her face by sweat.” it’s a simple line and probably overlooked by people but you always add details like these which make the story realistic instead of trying to write perfect looking characters with no flaws. it really makes the characters more human you know?

oh yeah her hair!! i often try to plan for some kind of super hot look from Annie that's also just a casual house/yard work outfit. her being disheveled with dirt on her hands and sweat all over her face really truly does something to me... there are no limits!!

it's a very emotionally vulnerable moment, which for Annie is a lot scarier than all the horrible murderous shit she's used to. she's trying, even if trying is what's fking her up the most. she wants to once she sees how her past is affecting her girl.

they did and they do need therapy 😞 lolol i feel every time you ask me questions about the plot and if i'm gonna make xyz happen, it's always something that i already had planned addressing in the next chapter. the only reason that other characters have shown up is because they aren't relevant yet.

yeah they keep in contact! Annie may be living away from all of them, but its really not THAT far away. they live far enough that it's a pain in the ass to get out there, but close enough that they can go visit the town, spend most of the day there, and come back before it gets dark.

next chapter will talk a lot more about the remaining Alliance members, and the comeuppance of a trip to try and negotiate with Paradis (so the '3 years later' final scene). so they all show up for that, and Reiner and Pieck are both going to pretty significant later on. you're right that being around them brings back bad memories.
