Here's a cool little theory I shared on OSDS about OneShot (nothing grand, just a silly, cute little detail)

(OneShot Solstice spoilers ahead)

So, for this theory, let's take a look at one of the World Machine Edition wallpapers: Memory

In this picture, you can see that Cedric isn't wearing his usual yellow scarf, but either a light brown one, or simply a sort of turtleneck (I rather think it's a turtleneck). However, you can notice that the Author IS wearing a yellow scarf.

Now let's take a look at Cedric in-game.

In game, for example in his profile, you CAN see Cedric wearing a yellow scarf.

So here comes my theory: At some point before the world ended, the Author gave his scarf to Cedric, maybe as a parting gift or something.

As I said earlier, it's a silly little theory on a silly little detail, but I find it to be rather adorable. And I'm also quite surprised nobody noticed it before (unless someone actually did and I simply didn't know about it, in this case, I'm sorry).

(OneShot spoilers ahead) . Okay so I wanted to add personality descriptions on Magpie and the Author's wiki pages since they don't have any, for now I wrote this, thoughts? Things in ( ) are things I'm unsure of by the way:

 • The Author While not much is know about him, it can be noted that he generally express himself in a very polite way in his notes adressed to the Player, and appears to care a lot about his creation and children. Additionally, he appears to be very talented, creating things such as flying machines. (It could also be assumed he wrote his own OneShot: World Machine Edition bio due to the use of the pronouns "I/Me", in which he displays curiosity about the now gone [Old world],  but also seems to display self depreciation by calling himself a "sentimental fool".)

• Magpie Magpie appears to be social with whoever might be his next customer, and is also described as "easygoing" in his OneShot: World Machine Edition bio. Additionally, his behaviour seems to reflect real-life birds at times, such as with his like of shiny and/or colourful objects. His shop working on bartain, he has some bartaining skills, (although it goes along with his taste in objects.) He may be recluant to trade some objects precious to him, but can do so if necessary, such as during the Solstice route.

whenever I hear glass beach color bars (specifically the glass beach version for whatever reason), my mind finds itself attaching the song to TWM. hear me out. (unless you haven't played OneShot / Solstice yet obv)

After the events of Solstice, Niko went home. The World Machine tried their best to rebuild, to repair the damage they'd done. But everything reminded them of Niko, how much they missed their friend. They begin to relive their memories over and over, desperate for the memories' warmth and comfort. Their time in the present is eaten by the past. It slips away, and eventually, so does everything else. Because they don't know how to live for the present anymore. And their world falls to disrepair.

This is such a weirdly vivid image, the kind I hardly ever get from a single song.

Maybe I just need to stop reading OneShot subtext into everything. but that would be boring.
