IT IS HERE. HUZZAH.

The finale to my big massive queer horror game is now released. Which means that, after 2 years and 8 months, the game is now complete. (And I am now officially spent.)

The finale features:

If you're new to this school, Our Wonderland is a super cool and definitely not traumatic horror-fantasy visual novel following a passel of childhood pals returning to the wish-granting wonderland of their youth. Or, as I also like to describe it, "five 30-year-olds tackling the traumas of a cis- het- allonormative world in a land where all their (darkest) dreams come true."

It stars an awkward biro-ace guy who may or may not get some gay kisses as he struggles to figure himself out (and keep from dying). YEAHHHHHHH.

The full game features:

283k words (around 20-25 hours)

520 CGs (because I'm severely unhinged)

96 unique sprites (+ countless variations)

7 animatic-style semi-animated cutscenes

genzo definitely slept on rgu as one of the "girl shows" or pretending uninterested at least, and when he's convinced to watch (with audio description) he's confused with the most parts like "is it confusing or is it just me?" "i think i'm as confusing as you"

and orlam is happy to wear the student council uniform it's a vibe for him

I've been playing Our Wonderland + the sidegames and idk if you can tell but Orlam is my favorite. This game is bananas. You should play it if you like having your friends for dinner! (Cannibalism. There's cannibalism in the game.)

I imagine this is like Cecil's preferred place 2 be-- sandwiched between these two weirdos while they assure him they're definitely not drunk-- while he feigns annoyance. Cecil needs someone to be pretend-annoyed at, otherwise he might just die.

these are my faves.. angsty gidget and ceclam X3 it was just gonna be cecil but then i realised i MUST draw orlam too.. and gidget. but i didnt know where to put them so theyre just a silly little creecher in the middle there. ehe. i might do a full proper drawing of the first one, i rlly rlly like it. and i just love gidget. sob.

lil doodles + an orly i didnt rlly like. i dont think i drew iggy well at all here, at least how i like to picture him. the first one matches that a lot better XD. i was worried i made orlam too tall also so someone suggested i put an 'anime style pointer bubble to show him standing on an apple crate' and i thought that was really funny so i added it lol. i love them sm

I did it somewhere... (Looks) 3 days. Considering that I'm not good at focusing on the process like Iggy.

I tried to draw ON Iggy's costume for a long time... There is an image, but I couldn't draw it accurately. All I know is that this is a modern suit. But here's the palette...

I feel kinda bad about it being late but I was quite busy and generally demotivated ausushsj but I'm doing better now. Also I really wanted this to look good.

I didn't intend this (I just wanted a simple background) but the tiling on the floor looks a bit like a spiderweb which is... yeah.

I've been watching FlowersForJoy's OW VODs (would love to catch a stream myself but timezones ToT) and they've been keeping me so entertaineddd. Idk if it's because I'm just obsessed with OW but I love seeing other people play it and their reactions to certain moments in the game. Also Joy is just very funny! Great stuff.

Anyways, again, happy birthday Gidget!!! They may not be my favorite (Orlam will always prevail in that regard), but I've been thinking about them more and more recently... Methinks this started after playing OC, I just really enjoyed their route??? I loved how wholesome and nice it was, it felt like a big hug. As an Iggy kinnie, I really wish I had friends that close IRL (this is in regards to all the characters, not just Gidge btw). I know they're all kinds of terrible to each other, but I think having someone who's seen you at your worst and chooses to stay with you is validating, in a weird way.
