The only conclusion here is: AMERICA....REPENT!

Think the coming eclipse is nothing? I did, too, until I discovered all these FACTS!

I don't claim to know what all of this means, exactly, but I believe it's important enough for all of us to be aware that this is happening and pray for wisdom.

On April 8th, 2024, there will be an eclipse. One eclipse is already amazing but this one is actually the last in a 3-part series that has SO much meaning behind it. It is important that we recognize that God said that He would use the sun, moon and stars to communicate with us:

Genesis 1:14- "Then God said, 'Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years..."

Luke 21:25 - "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea."

So now we know that God said that He would use the sun, moon and stars to communicate with us, so let's break down this 3-part eclipse series:

1) With the path of this last eclipse, combined with the first 2 eclipses (one in 2017 and the other in 2023), it will create the Hebrew letter over America that is "Aleph Tav" and in Greek it is the "Alpha and Omega" - both means "The beginning and the end." God said in Revelation 21:6 that He is the beginning and the end and this Aleph Tav is like His signature. Why would He use an eclipse to put His signature over America? Let's dig deeper:

2) God has used eclipses to warn nations of coming judgement so that the nation can repent of their sinful ways and come back to Him. This happened with the story of Ninevah. God told Jonah to go to the wicked nation of Ninevah and warn them about coming judgement. Jonah ran away from the assignment and while out at sea got swallowed up by a huge fish and was in its belly for 3 days. Jonah repented of running away so the whale spit him up. He then went to Ninevah and warned the people but there was something that also happened while he was warning the people...an eclipse came over the land.

In the 19th century, ancient tablets were discovered that described an eclipse called the Bur-Sagale eclipse where the totality of the eclipse landed right over Ninevah while Jonah was there preaching of the 40 day warning before the coming destruction. Because of this, the people realized that this was a sign from God that what Jonah was saying was true and they repented and God spared their nation.

It is amazing how much America mirrors Ninevah. (If you don't see it, you may be part of the problem.) To make this even more clear, this last eclipse on April 8th will be going over 7 cities here in America called - yep you guessed it - NINEVAH! I honestly didn't even know that we had any city here in the U.S. named that but here we are - with this eclipse going over these cities (and there will be an 8th one that it goes over also called Ninevah in Canada.)

Nineveh, Indiana (this will be the highest magnitude of eclipse Mag 1.023, the local time predicted for it to occur is at 3:07 PM)

Nineveh, Pennsylvania

Nineveh, New York

Nineveh, Nova Scotia (Not in the US)

Could this be that God is warning us just as He warned Ninevah? There have been many "Jonahs" in the past few years warning the nation that we need to repent and add in this sign above our heads - we can't turn away from the fact that it is not a coincidence. But if you need more proof, let's keep going...

The first part of this 3 part eclipse series was in 2017. The path of that eclipse went over 7 cities named Salem, which is short for Jerusalem (Ps. 76).

The mathematical "chances" of there being 7 Salem's with the first eclipse and then 7 Ninevah's for the 3rd eclipse is unthinkable. But what about the 2nd part of the eclipse?

4) Perhaps the most striking piece of the 2nd eclipse is that the precise center-line of eclipse path exits the USA directly over Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi means the "Body of Christ" and is one of the only towns named that in the world!

But let's go back to this upcoming eclipse and dig even deeper...

4) Jonah was giving a 40 day warning to Ninevah during the eclipse. If you look at our April 8th eclipse and fast forward 40 days then you will get to May 18, 2024 - the day before Pentecost. The history of Pentecost is that is the last Spring Feast that the Lord has given us (there are 4 in the Spring and 3 in the Fall). This is the day that the Lord sent the Holy Spirit down to all those who have accepted Christ. We are told that the "Restrainer" (many believe this is the Holy Spirit) will be removed before the Tribulation could it be that this is a warning for that? I'm not sure as that is a worldwide event and this eclipse will be just over North America but it is something definitely to think and pray about for more clarity and wisdom. No matter what, there are too many things lining up for it to not be nothing and so my job is to get the information out to you all so that you can at least be aware of these signs that God is giving us so that you can pray about it.

But let's keep going...

5) From the start of this 3 part eclipse to the end, it will be 7 years. God uses numbers a lot to communicate with us, and 7 has a ton of meaning. A few examples are - He created the world in 7 days, there will be a 7 year tribulation, 7 is used for completion, etc.

) Going back to how this correlates with Jonah & Ninevah's story -at the time of this eclipse, there will be another sign in the sky...it will take place under the constellation, Cetus, which is the whale constellation! And not only will it pass through the 8 cities in North America named Ninevah, it will also pass through Jonah, Texas! Speaking of other towns that it will pass through, these are some of the other city names that it will go right over:

Rapture, Indiana

Williamston, Kentucky - this is where the Ark Encounter is located. The Ark Encounter is a full size replica of Noah's Ark.

Eagle Pass, Texas - where we are having so many border issues.

And the point where it crosses the 2017 eclipse to mark the center of the X is an area in southern Illinois called Little Egypt. What is even more fascinating about this is that Little Egypt is sandwiched in between 2 other cities called Alpha, Kentucky and Omega, Illinois - both having the 2017 eclipse come over their cities. Furthermore, the intersection of the 2017 and 2024 solar eclipses occurs directly over the New Madrid Fault Line, a major seismic zone. An earthquake along this fault line could potentially destroy the U.S., making it one of the most perilous fault lines in the country. I have no idea if this will happen or not, but there are too many things here that are all literally lining up to not share with everyone.

7) One more interesting fact is that there are 2,422 days in between the 2017 eclipse and the 2024 eclipse. If you look up 2422 in Strong's Concordance, an Bible concordance that has every word of the KJV, takes us to Exodus 1:19 which says,

"The midwives answered Pharaoh, "Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive."

Why would this be of any significance? Well, to me, it reminds me of how Jesus said that His return would be like a woman in labor with the signs of His coming growing stronger and closer together. We are at a point in history where we are seeing all of the signs that He gave us happening before our eyes. In fact, we are even seeing things that will happen during the tribulation get setup now. If we are seeing those things being setup now, that must mean that we are super close to it actually happening. Going back to God saying that He uses the sun, moon and stars to show us signs - and then Jesus saying that the signs of His coming will be like a woman in labor, well this information leading us back to Exodus 1:19 explaining that the Hebrew women have labor fast is so interesting to me! Could we be on the brink of the rapture and tribulation!? I don't know exactly when it will happen but Jesus did tell us that we would know the season and I do believe that we have been in that season for the past few years and are pushing closer and closer to it!

It is no secret that this world has gone mad and everyone knows that there is something happening behind the scenes that feels really uncomfortable. If you have that feeling, you are right! There is a major push for things to happen that were predicted to happen over 2,000 years ago. Most people seek their understanding in the wrong place though. They look to the news and the world to guide them; however, these sources will only bring more questions, not answers. It causes people to live in fear, anxiety and depression. However, Jesus didn't want us to live that way. He gave us the information so that we would know what is happening when we see these things. The first piece of living in His knowledge is accepting that God sent His son, Jesus, to die for our sins and on the 3rd day, Jesus rose from the grave and conquered death. The second piece is to repent to God of your sins and turn away from your sins. Most churches only teach how God loves you but don't teach repentance anymore and that is a HUGE part of your faith. Jesus said that there will be many who come to Him and say, "Lord, Lord, I knew you." But because they didn't repent of their sins and seek Jesus' ways instead of their own, He will reply, "Get away from me, I never knew you." We cannot just live however we want without any consequences. Even little children understand this concept, but it has been lost on most adults. This is why Ninevah was going to see destruction - because they were a self- serving, sinful nation - just like America is today. You can't change the heart of this nation, but you can change your heart and lead your homes to do the same. Third, pray for wisdom in these areas.

I know this has been incredibly deep but just like Proverbs 25:2 says, "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of kings is to search out a matter." This sign in the sky will be right over your head in just a few weeks - will you have the eyes to see what it really means?"

i am more convinced than ever that cosmic horror writers are just "some guy who also happened to glance at a total eclipse and saw the eye of god". like unless you've seen a total eclipse, you don't understand, you can't, i can't really explain it to you. you're sitting with your girlfriend, in a field. with a group of complete strangers that includes astrology wackjobs, menonites, lesbians from Ohio, and an old man who will later tell you a joke about teddy bears. and through these crappy cardboard glasses, you're watching a tiny yellow dot in the sky, the sun with almost all of the light blocked out, get slowly covered by this black disk. at first, it kinda just looks like the sun is turning into pacman through the glasses, but the sun is so bright you don't notice a difference as the moon moves across it. slowly though, even though it's a completely cloudless day, it starts to look like it's a little overcast, and the whole thing goes from cool to unnerving. it turns from day to night in the space of about 20 minutes or so, speeding up as it goes, and the primal part of your brain that knows what wildfires are and knows to run starts kicking and screaming. it knows whatever is happening is getting closer. the yellow dot is now a half moon, but it's the sun, and the haze that's normally around the sun that makes it way too bright to even think about looking at is fading. this whole time you've been looking directly at it, through the glasses, but now the heat of it against those glasses is strangely absent. the world looks strange too, like there's a filter over everything. everything is bluer, richer, deep. you feel giddy, knowing you're about to see the thing you've been looking forward to, try to quiet the monkey brain. before, suddenly, it starts to get dark. the street lights start to pop on in the corner of your eye. the sliver gets smaller and smaller. people get quiet. traffic stops. and then, when totality finally arrives and that sliver disappears, you hear two things. the birds stop singing. and people scream. through the glasses, there's a black dot with a white halo. you cant take it anymore. you glance over your glasses, just a peak. hanging in a sky dark, enough to see stars in, hangs a black orb, wreathed in white flame. where you know the sun should be is this indescribable inversion of reality. it's like the sun has been swallowed from the inside. and you laugh, you cry. in that moment i think i believed in god. you try not to look at it, but you can't not look at it. if i go blind, you think, this is what sight i had sight for. it's pure momentary insanity. and then as suddenly as it started it's over. and you have to go back to work tomorrow. that'd make anybody write some fucked up fetish horror is all im saying

I do hc that there are human governments who know about the Anne Rice vampires; minimally I think they're known by the Five Eyes. And perhaps the Talamasca has dipped their toes into communicating with them or acting as an intermediary, but I don't think it's even necessary! As long as each vampire eats even about one person a day (and the ancient ones don't even seem to stick to their own backyard to hunt necessarily), the benefit of wiping out vampires due to the very likely cost or difficulty means honestly it's PROBABLY correct to leave them alone, on the brute math of it. I do think there are plans in place though that would have been executed on if, for example, Akasha's rampage had gone on and were probably gearing up.

But if you know that vampires can telepathically communicate, they're immune to most damage, they can hyponotize people, they're pyrokinetic, they can move super fast, and there are at times around 100... okay, that's 100 people a day, but that's globally. And if they cover their tracks even the slightest, it's pretty unlikely vampirism would ever be suspected. Weird medical events occur all the time, sucides occur regularly.

But say you go to war with vampires--certainly no individual decision-maker there is safe. If the UK orders a vampire strike, the PM can't really be protected individually. But vampires are very unlikely to kill a pope or a PM or whatever; they don't seek to be noticed. How many lives, and which, do you lose in a war with them, even if you win?

Like Rhoshamandes ponders killing half of humankind, but honestly the only way vampires get there is setting off a nuclear war, and sure, perhaps they could, but do they really want to? they seem pretty comfortable with things as they are. But certainly if they were ever about to lose an existential war, why not spellbind whoever is necessary at the missile silo to get those things in the air?

Certainly one or two vampires could easily overwhelm the crew of an Ohio-class submarine and set off a nuclear bomb solely aimed at say, Ft. Lauderdale, and then perhaps even hit a city we'd miss. But the amount of deaths even from a single act like that would really eclipse what they're doing to feed, which again, is not great, but not really moving the needle anywhere.

Also, for serial killers they are clearly an asset to local economies. Frankly, there are probably efforts to make vampires more comfortable; as long as Armand is comfortable in NYC, you know his business interests will reflect an inflow to the State of New York; he does canonically pay his taxes. Meanwhile, Maharet in Myanmar unfortunately might have provided some of the wealth necessary for unfortunate later political action. The matter of where vampires are is of economic and political interest and can be leveraged.

Hi! I just found your Clanmew work last night and I am enamored with it! But I think I was pronouncing everything wrong - I assumed "ss" and "oo" were just long versions of the normal sounds, for example. When I kept reading this morning, I found out "ss" is [ɬ] (I think) and now everything is in question! Could you please help me with pronunciation?

I will be putting up a full pronunciation guide at some point I promise! In it I'm also going to get into banned characters that I never use, and exactly why I banned them

D for example uses a specific tongue movement made for humans and our flexible tongues. Because a cat could never hope to make a "D" in simple speech, I use B and P as the strong consonants

(Also forgive me for not knowing the proper terms for things, I'm actually not an educated linguist LMAO I just like etymology and culture a lot)

Quick and simple guide though:

R = hard R, "Red"

Rr = Rolled, purred.

Note: Russetfur's name is a shibboleth for a human to say. "Rarrlurfaf," you have to stop your roll and start your L quickly. Easy for Clanmew speakers and hard for us.

Y = Open mouth, if you said "yay" in Clanmew it would sound like "YAYE"

Yy = Mumbled, keep mouth closed. If you write "Yayy" it sounds just like English.

Note: Hare = Yywaya, it needs the double Yy at the start until Wa opens your mouth, to open again at the Ya. yy-WHY-YA.

S = normal S. "Snake"

Sh= "Sugar, Shore"

Ss = Welsh double LL, pull tongue back, pass air through sides of mouth.

O = "Ohio, old." A deep, short oh.

Oo = kind of like "boot," but this is more glutteral in a Clanmew accent. Remember the cat who said "ooooaaaaoooh loong john?" Put it in the top of your throat.

U = straightfoward "under, uncle"

E = simple e, "Elephant, error, extra"

Ee = high-pitched e, "Beep, eel, eclipse, email"

B = glutteral grunt, hard to explain. "BRUH" is the closest thing in English, the air comes up from your chest.

P = Blown from the mouth. Unlike English, P is NEVER silent.

Buff/Puff is a good way to demonstrate the difference. Most people don't say it like a real rhyme, they say buff from the chest with a lot of emphasis on "BUff." "Puff" is literally puffed out of your lips.

Eclipse Trip 2024 || Burlington, VT

Burlington is one of the few places I think Ken and I could agree to move to. (I love Atlanta and would move back in a heartbeat but Ken won’t go south of here; I don’t really want to move time zones and go west.) My uncle and his husband live here (I always say “my uncles” but then people think it’s a big chunk of my family, but no it’s just the one couple) and we visited them once pre-pandemic. They showed us around and I talked for ages about moving up there. I still love it.

We originally planned to go to Ohio and do Cedar Point, but it’s not open this early in the year. So last April, a year out, we paid like $300 a night for a holiday inn express in south Burlington. It was completely booked, along with everywhere else. It was hands-down the busiest I’ve ever seen a hotel breakfast. Every seat at every table full!

I convinced Ken to agree to a glass blowing class and it was a highlight for sure! We made cups! It’s one of those crafts that I just don’t know how anyone gets into unless they have a family member who does it. Like, the entry into it just seems so tough. But a one-hour class was a really good insight into it.

On Sunday we scoped out potential viewing spots. We picked a park on the lake 3 miles from our hotel so we could walk there and back and not deal with parking. We were there around 4:30, so later than the eclipse would be the next day, but could still get an idea of where the sun would be in the sky when thinking of potential spots to sit and watch. It was funny, us and everyone else walking around, whispering because we didn’t want to share our thoughts about where we planned to be.

Ultimately, it was busy but not insane. We were still quite a bit south of downtown and the university campus, which I think was much more packed. We picked up bagel sandwiches to bring with us and had little portable camp chairs. We got there a bit before noon, and totality was at 3:26. I loved seeing all the dogs. The feeling of community during totality was really cool.

Now that we’ve experienced it, we both say we’d travel under 3 hours to see it again (not the 10 hours we traveled this time), or further if it was somewhere we had family or otherwise already wanted to visit. But we wouldn’t plan more eclipse vacations just to see more eclipses. We’re both really glad we did this one though!

The drive home took 12 hours instead of 10. Since the eclipse was a Monday, travel in was spread out between some people coming in Saturday and some on Sunday, but basically everyone left Tuesday and it was bad traffic. Then we stopped at Panera and discovered they changed the menu and no longer have any of Ken’s favorite items!

Overall a fantastic trip, even with the tough journey home. I’m not allowed to send Ken Zillow links to Burlington homes for a month - he’s convinced the vacation excitement will wear off, and with it my desire to move. But I have a vision of myself in Chelsea boots boiling sap from a tree in my yard to make maple syrup and I will not let go of this imagined Vermont Katie.

Aw heck yeah!

My dad and I went to see the total solar eclipse!

I've never been out of my state (MI) before so going to not one but TWO states (IN & OH ) was pretty awesome.

We ended up in Wapakoneta, Ohio and we were going to try to watch it at the Neil Armstrong Space and Air museum, but there was a couple hundred people already there and parking was full except for a field... Which cost $40 to park.

So instead we went to a dog park and watched it for free!

My dad caught the eclipse in a pair of binoculars so we could take pictures of it.

It waS SO COOL BEING IN THE PATH OF TOTALITY!

We all cheered and the sky was so pretty and someone was setting off fireworks and UGH!

I just love space stuff so much!

I want to go to Ohio next April to view the total solar eclipse, but I haven't booked a hotel yet because I haven't finalized my itinerary. This was a mistake, because every single hotel in the city I was planning to visit is already booked solid. I wouldn't be surprised if every hotel in the path of totality is booked. I'll have to look for one a few hours away.

Columbus and Cincinnati are probably booked up, so maybe I'll try Louisville or Lexington down in Kentucky, or Detroit up in Michigan. Or maybe I should avoid big cities all together and look for a hotel in a small town instead.

Before I finalize anything, I want to know if any of my mutuals are planning on coming out for the eclipse. I've been banking on Ohio this whole time because it's a straight shot up the I-75 from where I'll be at, and I wanted to visit the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta (Neil's childhood home, directly in the path of totality), but I'm willing to travel anywhere in the path

Mutuals, if you guys live in or near this grey band or are planning to travel there on April 8, 2024, let me know if you want to meet up. I was planning a big road trip up from Florida, with tentative stops at amusement parks along the way (Six Flags Over Georgia, Dollywood, King's Island, maybe Cedar Point or Hersheypark because I don't know the next time I'll be up north, so I may as well cast a wide net).

My car can fit four comfortably (and I do mean comfortably, it's big, lots of leg room), five max, so if anyone wants to fly out I can pick you up and we can carpool/caravan.

This is my tentative route from Gainesville on up, but I'm willing to deviate. I could take the I-10 west to Texas instead, or I could overshoot the path and meet up in Detroit or Chicago or as far out as St Louis.

It doesn't matter where I end up just so long as it's in the path of totality; come hell or high water I am going to see this eclipse.

DM me if you want to join in!

If enough people are interested, I'll set up a discord server so we can all talk together and finalize our plans by committee. I'll leave this pinned until August 1st, and if there are no takers I'll go with my original plan; head out in late March, hit up Six Flags, visit the Smokeys for a couple days, mull around in Kentucky or Ohio until the eclipse, afterwards maybe head east to Pennsylvania, maybe visit some Civil War sites, maybe visit some relatives in the DC area, definitely hit up Dollywood on the way back (besides the eclipse, the theme parks are my main focus; hitting Six Flags and Dollywood both on the way up would be exhausting, so one up and one down works perfect)

This is a major undertaking, a trip of a lifetime for me, so I want to make it special. Spending a week with friends would be nice, before, during or after the eclipse, whatever boats your float.

Once I know who all I'm dealing with, then I'll start booking rooms and buying tickets. I want to explore, I want to see the country, I want to have a real tourist vacation experience (I've been on the customer service end of things for too long, I need a break).

Possible prediction of what might happen in S.A.M.S. and slightly meta analysis.

So I think or... to be more accurate, I have a feeling that Sun will try to choke or hang himself...

I know that it seems like a very wild statement... and it is sorta... but at the same time... there are hints towards this conclusion in the show or I'm just reading too deep into this but you'll decide...

So, remember when Moon said he'll choke Sun. That he'll somehow make it possible... I know that Moon wasn't serious... probably...? (it was in one of early episodes and we know that Moon was doing some morally questionable things to Sun...) So let's get further... Idk if y'all remember that Sun was saying that he'll strangle this person or that person a few times... when Lunar pretended to be Moon. He wanted to strangle that girl with jump rope from Baldi Basics... I know that he said that because he was frustrated... but I hope that later you'll see what I'm trying to say. And also Sun once said that he'll strangle Moon (Lunar) (when they were playing Minecraft). He was very mad at that time but it's not that much important to what I want to point out. I don't remember if there were more examples of Sun wanting to strangle someone, so let's get to the next point.

After the whole ordeal with Eclipse in October... one of the first games Sun and Moon played was that SCP game that Eclipse left unfinished... and what mission Eclipse started in that game... The hanged man's tragedy... so I know that all of what I said still doesn't make any sense... but hear me out. At the end... Sun was cursing like a sailor... yeah, I know, funny... but that's beside the point... because I had this weird feeling... that Sun was cursing at the sight of hanged dummies because he was scared... even if he didn't seem that much scared during that video. But to prove my point I'll only say that people also often curse or swear when they're scared. It's pretty common reaction to fear.

Yes, I know that this still didn't make any sense towards my first statement. So let's get to the next point. I don't remember how many games which Sun played with either Moon or Lunar had someone hanging or being strangled but I'll talk about two most recent (one with Lunar and one with Moon) and one of them made me believe that... it's all not a coincidence... that there is connection between Sun and strangulation...

So let's start with the second game. Sun played an Elevated dread with Moon in Sun and Moon move to Ohio episode. And when Sun said that if he'll see a jumpscare he'll pee himself... and not so long after that... he went to a room... where he saw a hanged man/monster... and an outlined shape of child (if I remember correctly) on the floor which was implying that someone killed that kid... and that someone was probably that guy... who later turned into a monster..! because of the crime he commited and after he hanged himself... Sun reaction was... complete silence... and later he pretended that it didn't scared him... But why am I going into specific of that scene and how it is related to Sun posibbly choking or hanging himself?

Well... this is the time when the first game comes in... Remember when Sun played The classrooms with Lunar in Lunar has a bully episode (second part of their gaming)... So, remember that something happened to the several kids there... they sorta disappeared (or they got even killed or possessed because these dolls, I think, represented those kids) and... protagonist was chased by some kind of monster/demon and got strangled by him..! Sun reaction to that was laughter... which was... weird... (he said that acting here was inacurate but it was still hella strange 💀)... And later when they walked to bathroom, they saw their reflection in the mirror and both Sun and Lunar get startled because they thought they were that monster/demon thing...

Dying or disappearing kids... a guy who is hanged or strangled... a monster/demon who is responsible for kids death and misery... Both games had that and Sun played both of them... In one with Moon the guy turned into a monster... In the other one with Lunar they thought that their reflection was a demon... In both cases Sun had weird reaction which implied that Sun wasn't scared at all (which I believe was a lie)...

But the thing that convinced me that it's something more than it seems was the fact that... in first part of Sun and Lunar playing The classrooms... the day in which the game took place was... July 14th... which was weirdly close to that one tiny date which had a great impact on Sun's life... And of course Sun's reaction when he read the date... you could almost see those ptsd flashbacks in Sun's eyes...

And also... Sun said that he wanted to do something very specific to Eclipse when he find KC's base... it was something about neck... Oh! Right! I'm gonna snap his neck... or something like that... And like I said Sun wants to get rid of Eclipse means that he wants to get rid of himself...

And I have a feeling that Sun thought about snapping Eclipse's neck... because this something he fears... I think that Sun dreams about being strangled or hanged... and that means that he has some feelings and thoughts that he burries inside himself and also that he has some unresolved issues... which completely fits to what I said in my previous post.

That's why I think that Sun will try to choke or hang himself.

trying to shove a lid on how insufferable im going to be once i really get into hot atticus manga summer mode so instead: heres ohio worms pre-ascension to the black hole thoughts that might not make it explicitly into the meat of the fic im working on

snow replaces solar eclipses which ive. miiildly hinted at in a few of my minifics. being frozen is much rarer and is about the equivalent of an incineration; the statues stay in the field. unlucky teams have a whole bunch of them, usually moved very very carefully to the sides of the field. fans like to record when a ball hits one for funsies. having snow fall on you and change your stats is like normal snow but its also kind of like having your dead teammates ash wiggle around your fk so like. mixed emotions on it. most teams fucking hate normal snow now also

the ohio astronauts, atlanta sailors, and virginia mechanics were all from the same original universe. the mechanics ascended first, blaseball got a little bit murdered and put on a verrry long hiatus, and most of that eras dead got released (stares at len crumb). the ohio astronauts were the next to ascend, and then the atlanta sailors the next season (close together! #worsties i think they hate each other just a little (SORRY ANKLE))

most of the other weather is the same or similar! no peanuts. a lot of birds. night weather was always around, but only occasionally popped off. solar eclipses are a new and fun surprise for all three teams once they descend (PEOPLE GET SET ON FIRE?) (yes.)

the reason they all have different names and switched universes when they descended is . mostly inspired by entanglement as a mod :^) i think its fun and sexy and existentially terrifying if the three expansion teams think that they might get completely rebranded and end up in another universe again. they are so so so so tangled. i am absolutely not going to s24 with my worms fic though (its mostly a prequel that goes up to the start of s13 as far as im currently planning)

We start with a bit of a discussion about the late Orenthal James Simpson. The state of Ohio continues to fuck with Trans people because the Republican’s in the Statehouse just keep lying about their existence being an issue. Cleveland had one helluva start to April. The NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four, the return of Cleveland Guardians Baseball and oh, a celestial event centuries in the making. Ant’s boys got some pets. Box does some personal growing. Tee got the Total Eclipse he dreamed of without even leaving his city. We then head to Reddit for some AITA before sharing the weeks entertainment which includes a full spoiler filled break down of X-Men 97 Episode 5, some listener feedback and a deep Monopoly GO! dive. The Creepiest Trip Ever

So, Daniel pretty much out of the blue decided that he really wanted to go out and see this eclipse. Daniel likes to go out and drive and it gets his mind off of his son who was stolen from him by the State. DCF and the people behind it are fucking crazy and awful people and they conspired with his ex-wife to take his kid away. So, he's really traumatized and he needs something to do and he loves to drive.

He had been kidnapped as a kid himself and brought to the Grafton WymanCorp which is a military facility and while he has forgotten most of the memories from there, it is pretty clear that a lot of extreme child abuse went on their. Grafton also has this big huge facility called the Grafton JobCorp which is just a big fenced off building and you don't know what goes on inside or outside. It seems like an "invisible prison" for the poor where they send people to train them with "job skills."

So, he decides to go to this other place MiraVista hospital which is right in the back of the Holyoke Mall and which he labels as "Calvary" and this place is ultracreepy. There's a few religious cemeteries on the outside of this hospital and it's just unclear why they are their, but one of them has a bunch of stone markers, the alphabet just strewn about the place with a statue of Mary. The first "B" though is turned upside down and at the end is 2 stone markers "a" and "b b" marked into them. Why they are there is totally unclear to me at all, but the feeling of this place is just that bad things happen here. Daniel has a knack for finding these weird masonic places and he showed me, just a bunch of these stone masonic buildings in Worcester.

Then we start to drive East to Cleveland because I looked up where the Solar Eclipse would be and it was right over Cleveland and this is where it starts to get really weird which is that we go past this place in Ohio called "Seven Hills", now in the Book of Revelations it talks about the city of Seven Hills being the place where the Whore of Babylon rules from and....well, I don't know, but I had this sense we should check it out and it was only like a village of 11,000 people or whatever, but it is an ultrabuilt up mall. There's a Coptic (Egyptian) and another one called living word of god. What's weirder is that even though the name is seven hills, there are....no hills. it's basically flat. None of this seems too, too weird, but right next to it is a town called "Parma" and in Parma there's a LOT of pizza places and a panda express and a place called Master Pizza. In case any of you don't know, all this "pizza" references can be references to child trafficking.

Anyway, when we drove back I noticed that there was all these houses with different colored lights on. Each of them had a different color or maybe two colors and one house had a giant skeleton in front with lights on....and, well, I think this is the place. Like, the real place where the entire system is run from. There were signs around here too that said "Ohio, the heart of it all."

So, one thing we know is that they use blackmail to control people in the system. People, in order to rise always have to have something on them of some sort or another, and, well, maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but I think that this place in Ohio might be the place where it's all run from.

Indianapolis is the most Masonic city I have ever seen. There's a big Scottish Rite Castle, but if you go to the public library there is what is clearly 2 enormous demon statues right in front of it. One is a big black donut which Daniel insists is a raped anus and the other though....the other is a giant humanoid black statue, no head with arms and legs that spindle down something like a few hundred feet. I've linked it here. in the image on search it's somewhat hard to see on the left, but this figure is ENORMOUS. Opposite the library is a big war memorial museum, a giant obelisk topped with a giant pyramid and ominous giant buildings to either side.

Mammoth Caves, Kentucky. That's where we went afterwards and maybe we should have stayed there but I had this court date and needed to come. Anyway, when we stopped at a rest stop there was a bunch of weird flashes of light, a train started moving and then we started to hear something in the woods. This was not lightning. it was just something flashing by the way.

On the way back we went through New York City and we had another weird experience which was that the cops were blocking traffic in these bizarre vehicles in the middle of the night. I am sure they would say something about road work, but there was not a lot of road work but this vehicle with yellow flashing lights was zig-zagging in front of us. then another one of these vehicles starts turning on cop lights and the guy pulls us over, starts yelling at us to put the keys on the dash....then he just takes off. The way he was yelling, I was thinking that this guy was going to pull out his gun and go after us or something.

Like, just zigzagging in front of traffic is extremely dangerous, so why the fuck would a car do this? Anyway, we drove off....

Eclipse Day

Monday, April 8, 2024

Eclipse day dawned with early rain and heavy fog. The birds had been singing enthusiastically since 3:00am. So much for birds being quiet when it is dark.

Tim comes back from the casino with news that the weather reports are looking good. We hang out in the parking lot with the other RV owners, drink coffee, admire each other’s RVs, and discuss the best place to watch.

We head to a small parking lot for a fishing boat access to the river next to the casino and make food for Dora.

Backpacks full of eclipse-watching equipment, we climb up the grassy levee with chairs and a folding table. We settle in and watch the river roll by.

Andy announces he sees the first bite out of the sun. We hastily unpack the eclipse gear, don our eclipse glasses and start taking photos.

As we approach totality, Andy Jr. — Tim’s nephew from Kansas and his wife Shante arrive. Andy Sr had been vectoring them in. They had been caught in traffic, but arrived just as it was starting to get cold.

While we are waiting on the levee, the transportation industry carries on around us.

On one side of the levee, two huge barges approached each other from opposite directions.

On the other side, a freight train passes below us.

We get ready for totality as the sun shrinks to a sliver.

The lights come on in the casino parking lot.

Totality! The Diamond Ring! We had never seen it before — the last sliver of sun shining between the mountains on the moon. It only lasts a second. We didn’t try to take a picture, but Andy took a fabulous shot with superior equipment than a smartphone.

“What’s that orange dot? Do you see it?” We all did. Jeanne grabbed her hand monocular and said “I think it’s a solar flare!” Actually, it was a prominence, but close enough. Flares disconnect from the sun and some head toward earth causing auroras and problems with the electric grid. Prominences are giant spouts of plasma that shoot out from the sun like loopy filaments, but stay connected.

The sun has an 11 year cycle of activity and this year is the peak of its cycle. During the 2017 eclipse, the sun was still in the low activity part of its cycle so we didn’t see any activity.

The night lights in the casino parking lot turn on. Swarms of midges swirl around Tim. The sky is twilight dark.

Andy Jr has brought a white sheet to spread on the ground that now has shimmering bands of light that appear to squirm like snacks in a moire pattern. Because the light from the sun is down to a single point, it has strange properties of parallel lines of light.

Suddenly, the we see the diamond ring again — the first bit of sunlight as the moon shadow depart. I hastily aim my camera upriver and catch the last bit of the moon shadow departing, heading northeast. I wish good viewing my friends up north. It is suddenly bright out and there are golden sunrise colors over the Mississippi River.

Most of the people on the levee leave with the moon “show’s over”, but we linger. The three families don’t see each other often and we are all so excited and awestruck. Finally we pack up and head down to the parking lot. We all have different plans and places to go.

We take a last group photo to memorialize the day. Andy calls us the “Umbraphiles” — shadow lovers. Andy, Andy, and Shante head for a BBQ restaurant to charge their truck. We head east for a town with better cell service because Tim has a Zoom meeting.

The traffic was light leaving Cape Girardeau north into Illinois. Our arrival time in Paducah, KY was 5:22. As we approached the Ohio River crossing, the time went up and up. Google Maps algorithm did its trick of packing the side roads. Jeanne fell for the shortcut. We were stuck on a side road a half mile from the bridge for over 2 hours.

Tim cooked dinner, then started his Zoom call. We arrived in Paducah at 7:53. The parking lot at the Paducah Cracker Barrel was crowded with RVs, but still had spaces in the RV parking area. We gratefully settled for the night.

The period of totality, the length of time viewers will be able to see the moon block the sun, lasted around 2 minutes and 42 seconds in 2017. This year’s eclipse will be one of the longest on record, with the totality reaching up to 4 minutes and 28 seconds in some areas.

This year's heightened solar activity will also allow viewers to see streamers and prominences, which look like bright pink loops, coming off the sun.

Fun ways to watch the eclipse:

April 8th is a Monday, and depending on where you live, most of us will be at work during the eclipse. That doesn’t mean you can’t take a break and watch this incredible event! Just make sure to do so safely with proper eye equipment. If you have the time to plan, check out the path of totality and make a whole day of it!

Go camping - Get away from the crowds and spend the day in nature. The entire eclipse will last a few hours, so take the day, grab some chairs and snacks, and enjoy!

Travel - If you are one of the lucky few who can easily travel to a city within the path of totality, go! Austin, Texas, Cleveland, Ohio, and Niagara Falls are directly within the path and will have the best viewing potential. Click here for a full map.

Ohio Prepares for Solar Eclipse: Anticipates Over Half a Million Visitors

As the solar eclipse approaches, Ohio is gearing up for an influx of visitors, with portions of the greater Cleveland area expected to offer some of the best views in the country. Roadway Plans and Traffic Management

In preparation for the eclipse, ODOT is implementing plans to reduce the footprint of work zones and ensure smoother traffic flow. Bruning highlighted the importance of removing orange barrels and opening up lanes to accommodate the increased traffic, especially on two-lane roads not designed for such large-scale events. While efforts will be made to minimize work zones, some will still be present, particularly on major interstates.
