Picard/Q. Q has come to tell Picard that he will no longer be testing humanity. Oddly enough, Picard finds that he would indeed miss Q if he never saw him again, but he'd rather not tell Q why. Picard/Q pairing. Some rude words but nothing explicit. Probably my favorite of my Picard/Q works.
beautiful au where there's no q war and q just keeps randomly appearing in enterprise's adventures he basically lives there and does this every tuesday (he's a disembodied voice in picard's head sometimes)
This is gonna be multiple chapters but probably only like 2 or 3. I could have waited until it’s done, but I know you guys are desperate for this kind of content, and I know this because I am desperate for this kind of content and spend my days refreshing the Picard/Q tag at AO3 looking for fix-its. I want to get this done quickly -- I know you’ve heard that from me before, but I mean it this time, this story is burning a hole in my head, and it’s not gonna be that long anyway.
My favorite kind of fix-it is the kind that could be canon. That takes what we saw in canon and says, But that’s not all there was, there was something in the backrooms that we never saw, something going on behind the scenes that changes the meaning of what we saw.
I write most of my Q stuff in a branching universe, where things are interconnected but there are small changes in timelines where necessary. So this makes references to a number of my other fics. It’s a direct sequel to my other fic in the Picard timeline, “But seas between us broad have roared”, and also makes references to “A Kiss Before The War” and events described in “The Descent Of The War Goddess” that I actually haven’t written the primary fic they happen in yet. But I think you can understand what’s going on without reading any of those.
