She smirked. “Mmm. Enemies to lovers slowburn. Get me a coffee, coffee boy.”

His hand clapped over his heart with mock horror. “Coffee boy? You don’t even remember my name? You’re some kind of stuck up...”

She whispered, “Don’t say apple farmer.”

His hands came to his temples as he whispered back with dismay, “I can only think of apples.”

Their giggles were interrupted with Diamond reaching over the counter, setting down a drink and mumbling, “Latte with brown sugar and caramel. Extra shot of espresso because you have a test tonight.”

Star made a face at him. “We’re roleplaying a slowburn fanfiction.”

“Oh.” He blinked. “Can I be an apple farmer?”

And Connie nearly fell off her stool for laughing.

therapy is a wonderful resource for literally everyone and i would highly recommend it to anyone who has even passingly considered trying it out!

even for people who aren’t dealing with bad brain times, it’s honestly just really great to talk through any troubling matters with an external, non biased entity, and it can really help shed clarity on things you otherwise may be too stuck inside your own head about.

heck, talking about this has reminded me that i need to take my own advice and set up another therapy appointment again.

The two were being tilted, mixed into the jug below, as Connie said, “So, see, the caffeine will help me stay awake and the alcohol will take the edge off, and I can study until-”

“No,” Diamond said, taking the containers from her hand. “No,” he said, pouring the mixed container down the sink. “No,” he said, heading to the fridge and grabbing her one of the many pre-made lunches he already had waiting for her.

She pouted as she unwrapped the burrito from the foil. “It was gonna work out fine.”
