i totally get the stress of putting so much of your soul into a fic and being scared to let other people see it. it’s absolutely terrifying!!

that being said PLEASE post snippets if you feel comfortable. you’ve basically described my absolute dream eddie fic that i didn’t even know i dreamt of BUT I DID!!!

please don’t feel pressured to do anything you’re not comfortable with, but if you do feel comfortable we will be here and we will LOVE IT!!

i can't put into words how overwhelmed i am for everyone who has reacted so kindly and has been so encouraging upon learning about this lil side endeavor of mine. genuinely. you guys are just the best.

a lot of the chapters written so far are focused on world-building (although they do feature el and max!!! and mention steve!!!), so i don't want to bore you all with snippets of that. HOWEVER, the snippet below is our introduction to eddie haha. (god, is it always this terrifying to share ideas with the class? lol)

the premise/background you need here is: sera/sarah is our main oc, who is a witch. her father has been trying to marry her off under the guise that she is a princess (it is truly a whole thing with so much lore haha). and finally, finally, a suitor has responded and agreed: prince steve harrington. to retrieve her from her home village, he's sent out his... knights :-)

“You directly disobeyed me, and there will be consequence-” 

Sera was unflinching at her father’s threat until the interruption. 

The seated knight, the boy whom she could only see the hair of, speaks up before her father finishes his promise of the violence to come in privacy.

“Now, now, Richard,” Sera chokes at the use of her father’s name, “That’s no way to speak to a future Queen.” 

All the air vacates the room. All that remains is the calm timber of the seated man, still ringing in Sera’s ears as she watches her father’s face grow red with embarrassment. 

She takes the final steps necessary to be even with the desk. To see the face of the perpetrator who had so casually chosen to speak to her father in such a way. 

He’s gorgeous. In a soft yet authoritative way. His cheeks are slimmer than the other boys, a face drained of youth and replaced with sharper edges that hold just barely more bite than his fellow knights in the room. The bite is given even more life by the painfully casual confidence he’s carrying. There lies a singular indent on his right cheek, a hollow crater from a crooked smirk that her eyes catch onto before his low voice sounds again, directed at her and not her father.

“You must be Sarah.”

He pronounces her name the same as everyone else, but she knows he’s unaware that it’s a nickname for a longer name. He’s saying it as it had read on that letter; a final transformation of Seraphina Alarie into Sarah Delvaux. An alias, for safety as her father had insisted. For the first time in her life, she’s not addressed by the name her mother gifted her with. A name she’d never been able to fill out properly, wearing it like a baggy hand-me-down rather than growing into the implied sophistication. 

She wears this new name no better. “I am. And you are?” 

“Edward,” he stands, wasting no time in extending a hand to her. She doesn’t take it, “Sir Edward, of Domitro. I serve Prince Harrington,” his hand doesn’t waver, only remains outstretched, not receiving the message, “Which means that I now serve you, his soon-to-be-wife, as well.”

it earns a snort from you. "from what? more lavender?"

After losing his memories and such Fizz had taken this opportunity to have a look around hell, maybe something would spark his brains a little so he could remember more of himself than his name. The jester just used some weird elevator to get to another Ring. Don't get him wrong Lust was great place, he loved the aesthetics, but it didn't make him remember anything. So now he just headed to Greed Ring.

Maybe just maybe he'd remember something, anything! This place tho gave him the creeps for some reason. He had been here solid 10 minutes and already witnessed some people beating up a guy in an alleyway. Yikes. But he was heading now towards some bit better looking neighborhood so he wouldn't get mugged or killed during his stay.

"Well this is-.. different" was the first thing he said after seeing one ship looking place. Huh. Didn't think much of it much. Fizz was about to turn away but soon was greeted by a loud sound of Ka-ching and then there was a demon standing right up his face.

"Holy fuck, you almost gave me a heart attack" Fizz grabbed on his chest, letting out a heavy breath. That really scared the living shit outta him.

Chikage, Soryu, and Toa are literally so similar because of how cool and distant they are. Moreover, knowing these three, I feel like they are in between 3 and 4 because those three are also like so smart, no shot, they are unaware, but they're quite dense sometimes so-

Riku, Aigonorus, and Lynt are quite the airheads so you literally have to spell it out to them, but I wouldn't put it past Riku to feign cluelessness just to tease you

In the case, that Soryu is in a good and he knows what the next words are but you aren't saying them then he will probably say, "You might wanna say it unless you want me to misunderstand and think I want to kill you." but we all know that he wouldn't do that because he even refuses to point a gun at a woman. He is respectful and principled like that

Nah cause even though half of these men are smart-asses, you sometimes just have to spell it out because of how absorbed they can get from their passions; like Takamune with soccer, Takashi with music, etc.

5. Another one who is genuinely clueless but will still kiss you nonetheless because they missed you too

Yukinojo, Rhion Hatter, KRIOFF, and RIO VOLERI

Okay, so I put Yukinojo here as well cause I really feel like he might be clueless but whether he'd push you to say it or not is something I'm not sure cause he does not seem to be the forceful type either and would be the type to think/reason "If you wanted to tell me, you would, but if you didn't then you must have your reasons".

For Rhion, same reason as Yukinojo, but I think he also leans more toward the curious type. Depending on the topic, he might press for answers, but he doesn't seem that pushy either.

Krioff is a gentleman, and I don't think he would push you to say it either unless he senses something amiss or bad about it.

Rio would definitely let out a hearty laugh since he sees you lightly blushing. He'll say, "Hahaha! Whatever that is, you're right, I missed you." or somewhere along those lines before kissing you.

6. "Ha? You're only saying that because you're the one who misses me." He missed you but won't admit it
