What if the gym leaders had Digimon part 1?

For the sake of my sanity I only picked the stage their Digimon would be at when you battle them. You know giving them Digimon makes it infinitely easier for them to hold back against challenger since they can just have their Digimon revert to weaker form.

I made this little stand for my retro gaming CRT TV back in 2021. The top is obviously Donkey Kong Island, but the sides each represent a street from Splatoon, Green Hill from Sonic, the opening from Pokemon Emerald, and Dedede’s castle from Kirby.

The bottom is tall and wide enough that I could fit a SNES, N64, GameCube, PS1, or PS2 in it depending on what I’m currently playing.

Sry you have to see my crotchal region in two of the pics. I wasn’t thinking about it at the time.

I already made a Good Essay that touches on it, but maaan, Gen 3 was onto a cool plot thread by making the Brendan/May rival actually kind of tragic.

They’re not a jerkass like the previous dudes, and they offer you support and help, while still being competitive and frustrated with their losses... like, in this instance Brendan was perfectly cordial and gives us Fly, then is like “well I’m outta here bye”, but cue this guy to shed some more light on the subtext! Alas, this is before eventually thinking they can’t hope to measure up, so they quit :c

Since there’s way more rivals than protags this one is going gen 1-6😅

I couldn’t resist giving him Gabumon😅

He jogresses his partner with Ethan’s

I wanted to reference both his Gardevoir and Gallade in his line so went with this

I think a goofy looking partner fits him

I was thinking that Cheren and Bianca get their ultimates in BW2 and in BW they just have perfects. I gave him a doggo because Stoutland becomes his ace.

Uh…I just thought they vibe

Omegamon was the first partner that came to my mind with N. Also him having this legend of a Digimon fits with him having a legendary in canon which is white to contrast Hilbert’s partner.

He’s given Buffolant in Masters so I went with this. Belphemon is also very angry too.

They look similar 😅

Why does Sirenmon not have good preevo options?!

Trevor is in part 2 because there is too many rivals!
