Once again we gather to celebrate polyamory in all its forms: OT3s, OT4s, OT8s, V-relationships, QPRs, sedoretus, and any configuration you can think of. In the spirit of this month, we invite you to create works in any medium using the prompts above if you need a little inspiration. You can also create freely or even use one of our prompts from past years we’d still love to see fanworks for if they inspire you better. If you use a prompt, please make sure to let us know which prompt you’re creating for somewhere on your post.

At us @polyamships and use the tags #MultiamoryMarch and #MultiamoryMarch2024 in the first five tags so we can hopefully see it. If you don’t see us reblog your post within a few days feel free to send us an ask to let us know, or submit it via our googleform here, in case we’ve missed your post or the tags/notifications are being weird.

All ratings are welcome but anything nsfw/triggery should be warned for and behind a read more, as should very long tumblr fic.

Morning Routine

For the Final Fantasy Kiss Battle (which is still going.) Also for @polyamships' Multiamory March (prompt: Hope). Fandom: FFVII Characters: Cloud/Tifa/Barret

Cloud woke up earlier than Barret did on a regular basis. Barret didn't believe it at first, having trained himself to wake up at dawn even in the obscured light of the Undercity. Part of him thought Cloud was doing it on purpose - as if he'd known Barret was proud of waking up so early and wanted to take it from him.

"How are you awake?" he remembered asking once, when he'd still been half-asleep and Cloud had already been dressed and wearing his sword. It was just after the sun had risen in their little camp, and the others had still been asleep. He'd never had the heart to make Tifa wake up with him, even the few times they'd shared a room or even a bed for warmth in the coldest nights. Cloud apparently felt the same, which was a relief.

Cloud had just looked at him with those strange, alien blue eyes. "I have trouble sleeping," he'd answered brusquely, before turning away.

For some reason, that had given Barret pause. Maybe because when he'd known him in Midgar, the guy hadn't been able to lie worth a damn - one reason why he'd just avoided all the questions Barret had ever asked him. So he hadn't kept pushing, had just shook his head to try to wake up and gone to stand next to him.

"It's the light," Cloud had elaborated after a while, gesturing at his face. "It never goes out."

"Damn." Barret shook his head. "Must be rough."

Cloud hadn't said anything, just made a small sound that usually meant he agreed. Barret had relaxed; it wasn't going to turn into something awkward.

Tifa woke up after they did, if not by much. She came to join them while the others slept, standing between them - not that she had to anymore. Barret thought she just wanted to be there, which was fine with him.

She leaned over and kissed Barret on the cheek, then he heard her do the same for Cloud - he would've known even if he hadn't heard Tifa's kiss, because Cloud wasn't good at hiding the small sound of embarrassment he always made.

It had been quiet then. Barret knew that when the others woke up, the quiet would be done with and they'd have to get going. Eventually he'd probably have to wake them, even, and let Cloud and Tifa get packed up and prepared for the next leg of the journey. But this quiet time had become an important part of their routine. He wasn't going to give it up until he had no other choice. He hoped he'd never have to.

The optional theme for it is: 🌦️ Weather 🌨️

This could be weather literally, such as: characters enjoying the sun, dealing with rainy days and having to cancel plans, gleeful dancing in the rain, being snowed in, snowballs fights, or more dangerous forms of weather like blizzards, hurricanes, tornados! What kind of weather do they prefer, and what do they like to wear or do to prepare for different types of weather? For whump, characters getting sopping wet, hypothermic, having sunburn or sunstroke, and so on. Do they weather something, either physically like skin weathered by being outside, or mentally with getting through a difficult time? Something else, like a monument, location or item, they frequent or care about could be worn by exposure outside. Perhaps a ship they are on weathering a storm or taking advantage of the weather to get ahead. AUs with a weather related career like meteorologist, or they could have abilities to predict/control the weather. There's also many phrases with it in, such as fair-weather friend, under the weather, or to make heavy weather of something.

headcanon/scenario post for Barbie/Gloria/Gloria's Unnamed Husband inspired by the @polyamships monthly prompt, Calendar

CW: Menstruation

Barbie gets her first period post-canon. Yup.

She freaks out, obviously. She genuinely didn't know that was a thing that the human body could do. Gloria has to calm her down because uh Barbie going into panic mode also puts the Hubby into panic mode. He immediately bolts off.

Not because he can't deal with blood but because he wants to make sure they have products for Barbie to use. Sasha's still spotty, you know? And Gloria is a completely different woman to Barbie so he wants to make sure Barbie has appropriate alternatives to what's presently in the house. He is just that much of a woman ally.

He also comes back with plenty of chocolate ice-cream, too, which is great because Gloria and Barbie, who is all in a tizzy still, crying and complaining, have cuddled up on the lounge, dimmed the lights, and are gonna watch all the period-accurate (haha. period joke, that was unplanned) movie versions of Jane Austen novels. Naturally starting with BBC Pride and Prejudice.

And then a second uncomfortable truth hits Barbie when she finds out that this will be a thing for the rest of her adult life.
