"Chrysalis" - 7 October 2013
On this day, 10yrs ago, Max & Chloe were reunited after five painful years of separation. To mark the occasion, Chloe gifted her soulmate her dad's old camera and they spent the rest of the day together, as if they'd never missed a beat. 🥹🩵🩷
Happy 10th Anniversary, you two! 🎉

One of my favorite little scenarios for pricefield is them doing the ‘pretty much dating’ thing for a while, only send like a week actually dating and get married.
Max: Chloe and I are together now!
Her parents: … Wow what a surprise. We are shocked.
Max: yeah, I know and also we got married!
Her parents: wait what!

My favorite idea for after the storm Pricefield is that Chloe gets far more careful and Max gets far more reckless.
Chloe takes many important lessons from the storm. One of them is that her life is sacred and shouldn't be risked for fleeting moments of adrenaline. She can't imagine purposefully endangering the life Max spared. That's why she spends the rest of her life with far more caution than she ever knew in the Bay.
Max took a lesson from the storm, too. Mainly "Fate is an asshole, and I will do whatever I want forever."
I find this idea funny because A: I love the idea of Chloe realizing that she's the careful one now. B: On a less funny note I love the idea of Max letting go of her shell and spitting in the face of fate by living in whatever way makes her happy. Especially after spending a week witnessing the fragility of life. C: On a more funny note I love the idea of both girls thinking back on their time in Arcadia Bay and Chloe going "Man. I can't believe I used to act like that. I was so reckless and stupid." while Max is going "My biggest regret is that I never tried kicking Nathan in the balls and then rewinding. I should have got him at least once."

Here’s Max being the most oblivious being on Earth because WHAT DO YOU MEAN « who knows how she sees me? » Oh, I don’t know, Max, she probably asked you to marry her like two days after you reunited and dared you to kiss her and flirted with you the whole week platonically, you’re right. Also how can people still think pricefield isn’t canon after reading this (and Max’s whole diary, tbh, but yeah).

Great news, people! I've finally created my Patreon page, where I will be able to share all my non-job-related fanworks and illustrations!
I'll mainly post Moicy (Moira x Mercy) and Pricefield (Max x Chloe) contents but I'll make sure to create arts based on other ships too! 👀 There will be SFW and NSFW contents!
I'll start by posting old fanarts that have been lost in various account changes, in order to gather them all here but I'll alternate them with brand new illustrations!🖼️
Among the rewards of the four tiers there will also be the priority when I open commissions, exclusive voting power on preference polls and monthly postcard-size print signed by me (Physically sent to you!)📨
I'm planning to post a minimum of one content a week, possibily switching between SFW & NSFW. There's a chance I might create short comics stories based on different ships, too!
Hope you'll enjoy my page and thank you everybody in advance!🌟🌟

Pricefield in the Times of Plague
“Don’t come near me, Max!” - Chloe shouted, mustering the last bits of her strength to raise herself on her elbows above her bed of pain. Her face was red from fever and covered in blisters. Her hair was soaked in sweat. She went into a coughing fit and collapsed on the bed.
Max stood in the doorway of Chloe’s house. Just like every other house in the village, it was built using logs of wood, it had a sloping, thatched roof and the floor was covered in a layer of fresh straw. Inside, it consisted of one large chamber, with a fireplace at the centre. There was little furniture, besides two beds with mattresses filled with hay. The smaller bed was Chloe’s. The larger was Joyce’s and David’s. The larger bed was empty. Just like it had taken William five years ago, the plague now took Chloe’s mother and stepfather. Chloe cared for them when they fell ill. And when life left their eyes, she wrapped them in the best cloths she could find in her modest household and left them outside, to be taken by people collecting plague victims each morning. Chloe fell ill herself soon after that.
When Joyce and David became sick with the plague, Max’s parents forbade her from visiting Chloe. She obeyed. But when she heard the disease had gripped Chloe in its clutches, she couldn’t stay away any longer.
Now, standing at the threshold of Chloe’s house, she had to make a choice.
Chloe had already told her to leave. Now, Max heard her parents. They must’ve noticed her sneaking away in the wee hours of the morning. They stood outside the fence, ten paces from the door.
“Max, please! Don’t go in there! Come home with us!” – Ryan shouted. Vanessa sobbed.
Lying on her bed, Chloe quietly said: “Max, I know you love me. But you don’t have to do this. I won’t blame you. Nobody will. Stay away. Live”.
Everything tried to lure Max the wrong way. Her parents told her to go home. Chloe absolved her from abandoning her. Fear of the plague gripped her stomach and made her limbs heavy. Max made her choice. And she chose well.
She turned around to face Ryan and Vanessa: “Mom, dad, I love you. And I love Chloe, too. Dad, if mom was sick, would you abandon her? Mom, if dad was sick, would you abandon him? If I was sick, would either of you abandon me? I must be with her, for good or for ill”.
Vanessa cried loudly in Ryan’s embrace. Tears flowed down his bearded cheeks, too. But he nodded at Max, understanding her decision.
Max went in and closed the door behind her. She approached Chloe, sat on the bed next to her and gripped her hand. Chloe squeezed her hand too, weakly.
Max said: “I promised to always love you. To always have your back. To never abandon you. Now that you need me the most, I intend to keep that promise”.
“Max, think about your family …” – Chloe whispered faintly.
“Chloe, you are my family now. Isn’t it written in the Good Book that there comes a time for everyone when they leave their father and their mother and become one with someone they chose to love? Besides, if you’re so worried about my parents, look at it that way - I would bring shame upon my house by not keeping an oath I made”.
Chloe smiled, her spirit uplifted both by Max’s love and her sense of humour.
Max cared for her. She fed her, washed her, put cold compresses on her burning forehead. She talked with Chloe to take her mind off the death of her family and of her own death looming over her. And when Chloe was too weak to talk, Max sang her or told her stories. After three days, Chloe’s strength began to come back.
And then Max fell ill and the roles were reversed. Chloe returned all the care and love she had received. After a week, they both emerged from the house, weakened, but very much alive. They held hands. Ryan and Vanessa, who had been leaving them food and water on the doorstep, ran to hug them.
The tiny Romanesque church, the only stone building in the entire village, was full of the plague’s survivors. Almost everyone had lost someone they loved. The dwellers of Arcadia Bay were desperate for some positive development. So when the news spread that there was going to be a wedding, the villagers saw it as a good omen – that the time of plague had come to an end, and the time of healing and rebirth had commenced.
Max and Chloe stood before the altar. Max looked at her bride’s face. Max remarked that not even the pox marks covering her cheeks could hide Chloe’s beauty. Nothing ever could. True beauty is always within, where no scars can reach. Max knew her face was covered in similar marks. She saw her reflection each morning when she washed her face in a bowl of water. Not only she didn’t mind them, she was proud of her scars. She earned them in battle. Fighting for her love, which is the only thing truly worth fighting for.
Sister Kate from the local priory, who was officiating the wedding, asked each of them if they wished to be wedded in the eyes of the Lord. Of course they wished so! They exchanged wedding rings. They were simple steel circles, made by the local blacksmith. They were the best jewellery two peasant girls could afford. The rings were precious to Max and Chloe not because of the metal used to make them, but because of what they meant. Their love. How they defied cruel fate. How Max chose well.
The brides kissed. Ryan and Vanessa had tears in their eyes, but those were tears of joy and pride.

Sunshine for Everyone pt.1
Pricefield! Fluff!
Life is Strange - Max Caufield x Chloe Price
After saving Chloe at the expense of Arcadia Bay, our favorite girls are forced to flee their hometown. It soon becomes apparent that while they can run from the storm, running from their desires just isn't plausible.
Tumblr media
It had been just over two weeks since Arcadia Bay was swept up, just over two weeks Chloe and Max had been together. Well not exactly together but you know, facing the ugly world together! Chloe simply had to make light of the situation. Sure she had planned to get the hell out as soon as possible, but she didn’t think it would come this soon and at such a high price.
Upon leaving the Bay, the pair just drove. Neither have much left in them to talk, let alone settle on a destination. The silence drove Chloe wild, she couldn’t stand this. It wasn’t like the comfortable silence you share with an old friend, this was piercing and loud and it had effectively frozen Chloe. ‘Hands-on the wheel, 10 and 2. You know how to drive Chloe you're fine,’  She repeated these words over and over.
In the passenger seat sat the brunette, eyes still wide, adrenaline still pumping through her veins. If you had seen her head-on she’d look like a baby deer caught in the headlights. Max’s head was spinning, reeling even. Trying to piece the right timeline together was proving difficult. Max remembered it all, some bits were fuzzy, but what can you expect trying to make years' worth of action fit into a couple of days? It’s useless, trying to figure out how the alternate events had still managed to stick with her.  Still send chills down her spine, still feel the hands on her skin.
Blackwell Academy had to be in ruins right now. Despite never getting too close to her peers, despite the snarky comments and rude remarks, Max wondered if they were okay. Blackwell had to have some sort of emergency safety plan for things like this. Right? Not knowing the details of the catastrophe in her hometown, a catastrophe that she very well may have caused, made her stomach turn.
She tried to shake the thoughts from her brain but to no avail. She was too tired-both of them were- to even begin to rationalize anything. Max’s mind jumped from topic to topic, one person to the next. Unable to slow her racing thoughts, she makes a mental note to write this shit down with Chloe once their heads were on straight. Images of Chloe’s lifeless body flashed through her mind. A pit opens up in her stomach, she could puke right now just at the thought of losing her again. Max swallowed hard and pushed the bad thoughts away, her gaze landing on the gearshift.
Night came quickly, as if the whole world was ready to end this day early. the sound of distant frogs and birds echoed through the cab of the truck. The air felt heavy, gloomy almost. It hung in the air and smelled faintly like impending doom. ‘But that’s behind us now,” Max thought hopefully. This is probably the most positive conversation she’d had with herself since… she's not sure.
The silence was finally broken when Chloe cleared her throat, a vowel hung off her lips as if unsure what to say. “So,” she started. Max was glad that she didn’t have to speak first, she had been trying to think of something for hours but nothing came to mind. It felt as if she was just a passenger in this body, not in control, watching from the backseat. Max wondered if she was even able to speak, it seemed the words got caught in her throat every time her mouth opened. Chloe’s soft voice broke through all the noisy, terrible thoughts, “I think we should pull into the next motel I see and pass out there, of all people we deserve a good night’s sleep” she says with an almost defeated, exhausted sigh, “You really did amazing today super-Max, thank you for helping me, for saving me. Ya know I'm just glad after all this time we can still be so, I don’t know. I really missed you a lot.” Chloe finally verbalizes the words she's been meaning to get out this entire ride, no week.
Her eyes dart back to the road, she was just letting her feelings fall out of her mouth, and now she looks like a fucking idiot. Her body is tense until the smaller girl carefully cups her cheek. In lieu of answering, Max plants a kiss on Chloe’s left cheek.  Maybe it was the lack of sleep, the crazy events that transpired, or the fact that Chloe Price really just said thank you. Whatever the reason Max just leaned into her friend as if she were some sort of big headrest, and at that a very comfy one. Her mind had finally grown quiet, Chloe’s words were genuine and kind, reminding the brunette that maybe there is a light at the end.  Max nods into the tattooed arm, before letting out of sigh of contentment and beginning to doze off.
Fireworks were exploding in Chloe’s body. Every cell was on fire, every breath Max took was hot on her clothed skin. The second she felt the touch, it was like someone had turned the dial to her senses all the way up. Surely this was some sort of trauma response, the pair had been through a lot. But the heat spreading across her face was enough of a tell. Trauma doesn’t make you blush and smile like a crazy person. No, this is something real, pure, good even. Jesus Christ, Chloe is just glad it's dark- no doubt her cheeks have flushed a deep, embarrassing red.
Upon pulling into a sketchy-looking motel, Chloe sat back and gazed at the girl, no, the woman in her passenger seat. Max’s face was finally peaceful. This past week had changed her, changed the both of you. Her gaze was set on the sleeping girl’s lips, not on purpose but also not fighting it. Parted ever so slightly, plump, and so fucking soft. Guilt settles back into Chloe’s stomach as she pulls her eyes away. The heavy, suffocating reality that sits like lead in your chest, in the top of your stomach. “Chloe that is your best friend. She saved your life, don’t even that's horrible,” Chloe reprimands herself as she climbs out of the truck, overly careful to not wake Max, “and she's so straight,” she mumbles, reminding herself of the worst part.
-
“Hey, Maxine!” Chloe muses, jingling the key to the room around a slender finger. Max does not budge, doesn’t even twitch. ‘God she is out cold huh?’  Chloe thinks, wondering how exactly to get the girl out of the truck and into the room.
Tentatively, Chloe reaches her hand out, softly pushing the stray hairs from that face. My god that face, it filled Chloe with a feeling she couldn’t describe at all. This was completely foreign to her, to have such a deep regard for someone it could be misconstrued as illness.
Max begins to stir, feeling eyes on her through the sleepy haze. “H-hey Supermax, good nap?” Chloe sounds surprised, caught off guard almost. She begins to spin the cheap keychain around her fingers, “I got us a room, and we’re lucky because it was the last they had,” Chloe says, taking the girl’s hands in an effort to coax her up.
Max rubs the sleep from her eyes. For a moment, all is well. For just a fleeting moment Max has forgotten the terrible events of the week. In that same moment, the realization comes, robbing her of the short-lived bliss. Chloe can tell the exact moment she recalls everything. The beautiful content look on her face was quickly replaced with knitted brows, big scared eyes, and just a general emptiness. “Hey, we could jump on the bed?!” Chloe suggests, almost out of desperation. Seeing her bright and positive partner in crime so detached, so void of color, fills Chloe with the need to fix it. A delicate smile flashes across the girl's face, and Chloe feels the worry start to melt away.

"Out of Time" - 8 OCT 2013
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Forgot to upload these to Tumblr after posting them to bsky, so I missed it by a few minutes! 😭 Guess I just ran...out of time.
On this day, 10yrs ago, Max & Chloe picked up where they left off—enjoying each other's company, flirting, and testing Max's newfound power.
Max showed the lengths she'd go to protect Chloe and they became "totally bonded for life"...Forever. 🩵🩷

Do you have any cute little pricefield headcanons? Either before or after the storm??
!!yes!!
Chloe’s favorite color wasn’t always sky blue, she preferred a darker navy. Max’s,however, was always sky blue and she convinced Chloe that it is the superior color when they were like ten. (Chloe likes to ignore this when they were separate)
Chloe actually enjoys cooking but it has to be on her terms. She doesn’t get much into baking but she makes some pretty good cookies and likes to give Max little treats.
Max is terrible at cooking so she buys Chloe random food, like weird candy bars that most people don’t know the name of or strange chips. Chloe likes trying new things so it works out.
Max’s Seattle friendship group knows to not bring up Chloe Price (TM) because Max will probably cry. They don’t know much, only that Max has a lot of pictures of them together, that they’ve stopped talking, and that Max blames herself for it (considering she also will not allow any dissing of Chloe Price (TM))
They travel a lot after Blackwell but their home base is Max’s parents house, who let them live in their basement. Chloe fixes up a big van for them to travel in for a couple weeks at a time so they can really see stuff.
Eventually they settle for real in Haven, because Haven Springs is kickass and I love it.
