Today's tunes.
'Secret Treaties' was the first LP I ever bought, in 1981, when I was 12. I had no idea what the band sounded like but I saw an advert for it (in Kerrang! possibly) and bought it because I liked the cover art. For some odd reason, despite all of the other LPs I've bought since, 'Secret Treaties' still has none of the usual pops and crackles that you usually get with old vinyl.
The first Dead Can Dance album is still my favourite by them.

OMG I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED
ok so my favorite unit is definitely gonna be nightcord at 25:00, because every single one of those girls I am trauma bonded too. also like- depression irl.
but favorite characters would have to be Mizuki Akiyama, Rui Kamishiro, and Toya Aoyagi.
heres some headcannons for them (assuming they're all aged up ofc):
Mizuki:
100% can never tell when they have to sneeze. if they're with someone like Ena or An, then the other person can see their nose twitch and Ena will jokingly say bless you before they sneeze.
either has two sneezes together or have a fit with intervals in between
only has a handkerchief if it goes with her outfit (which is almost never)
probably is only allergic to strong scents, definitely found that out while meeting up with Ena to go shopping at the mall
she also has a cannonical sneeze! it kinda sounds like "Hahhh'kshoo!" or "Ahhh'pchooo!" but it is very breathy
Rui:
he gets terrible colds because he refuses to stop working and actually listen to his body
because of this his other troupe mates, mostly Tsukasa, have to convince him to rest when hes sick.
he also definitely is a habitual stifler, although he usually enjoys attention
he also has terrible pollen allergies, and is definitely like downing claritins as soon as it hits spring.
whenever he doesn't stifle his sneezes, it sounds like a "hehhh'rshuhhh!" or a uhhhhh'gshuhhh!" very congested but productive.
Toya:
he tries to never sneeze because both trauma
100% has a dust allergy, has picked up many a book only to have to put it down and grab a tissue so he could sneeze into it and get rid of the dust.
also is probably allergic to cats/dogs just because he was never around them.
isn't usually easily sick, but picks colds up from his boyfriend, Akito, who is an absolute dumbass and doesn't know how to take care of himself.
definitely has more "tishhh!' or "hehhhh'chhh!" kind of sneezes, something breathy and barely there.
it took Kohane a few months before she finally realized that Toya ducking into his wrist was actually the man sneezing.

been playing a lot of pr/oject sek/ai lately and whenever i am not listening to anything i can hear the note clicks
#this happened when i played sli/me ran/cher too except that one was SO much worse and SO much louder#like so loud it distressed me i almost started crying cuz i couldnt get the little slime singing noises to stop LMAAOAAIAOOA#this time the note clicking noises arent actively loud enough to keep me from sleeping. but still annoying but i will live#ow.txt#also mutuals if any of u guys play pro/ject se/kai hmu we can be friends :)
