Weekend recommendations

I have a darker side that enjoys wandering into the darkness, taking pleasure in suffering and evil. The fics that satisfy this side I have in my collection The dark path.

This weekend I'd like to recommend a fic that is dark and twisted but also surprisingly sweet. Decaying Orbits by JulieBehrens (juliebehrens) is wicked good.

Obi-Wan is trapped with Sith Qui-Gon and Anakin sacrificing himself for others (again), but is it possible to maybe bring Sith "halfway" back to the light?

I would recommend this fic if you like that it's not easy and if you believe that even the worst can be redeemed.

Because I, uh, don't really know the deets yet 😅 but this has been an AU living in my head for a while now, where Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are an established couple and happen to be Anakin's hot neighbors, and Anakin is immediately super attracted to them but thinks he has no chance. He's surprised, then, when they proposition him, and when he's sees Obi-Wan's dick he's like "oh my god," and then when he sees Qui-Gon's dick he's like "OH MY GOD." And then they thoroughly destroy him 😚

Making Of Monday What to do with plot bunnies.

I've found that one of the wonderful and terrible things about being a fic writer is all the many plot bunnies. They breed, the little bastards, and I'll never be able to write them all, sadly. I do enjoy playing with them though, just letting my mind run wild with a weird idea. They're something positive for my overactive brain to focus on, and for that I'm grateful.

But what to do with them.

Of course there are the ones I choose to work on, the ones that end up being more than just a plot bunny, but those are the special few. There are many that I should kill off, but I'm possessive and can't bring myself to just let them go, so I put them in deep freeze (stasis sleep) so I can find them at a later date. The list is now incredibly long, there are so many small and large iders just waiting for their chance, but I have no idea if I will ever return to them.

A few I've released, set them loose on Tumblr so that they might torment/inspire others, and I should do this more often, but like I said, I'm possessive of them, so it's difficult.

In my note app on my phone, I have a running list where I can quickly write down the pesky bunnies when they come to me, usually at the most inopportune times. It can be anything from a single sentence, or just the title, to something more.

This is my current list: It's far from all my bunnies, as I'm constantly moving them to the deep freeze (a document on my PC) or promoting them into real plot ideas with their own note.

That's very true, and I think I'd probably go with that too! Especially because I have the idea that in this au, Anakin assumes Obi-Wan will be the strict one and Qui-Gon the more laid back one, and quickly learns it's the opposite. So he's got his Daddy to soothe and coddle him while Sir punishes him or denies him orgasm 😌

Pro or anti-Jedi anything. It's a piece of fiction with dozens of different creators having dug their fingers into the pie over a period of time longer than most of us has been alive, a fictional universe that is often both pragmatically referred to as media directed at children or a "fairytale" not meant to be taken entirely cohesively, yet also held up as far too meaningful. There is no right or wrong answer as there's enough material to both prove and disprove either side's claims. "¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "

20. Could anyone have fixed Anakin?

Killing Palpatine before he spent 14 years abusing a child is the only real way I think Anakin would have had a chance. But Anakin was doomed by necessity, by the narrative, by Palpatine, and IMO if the Force at all has ever had any intention, Anakin's fate was sealed before he was even born. That doesn't mean he isn't culpable for the choices he makes, but he needed to fall. He was always meant to.

But seriously, a genuine therapist to deal with the shitton of trauma and PTSD from the war wouldn't have hurt. A therapist for all Jedi. I'M JUST SAYING.
