it's your lips. it's classic but it's true. even though it's the most common and obvious place to kiss someone, to jaehyun it's the most romantic. he loves the way your lips feel on him, he loves having your lips on him.

he's completely in a trance, he only seems to want more of you. he really likes it when you shy away from him after a heartfelt kiss, turning your head the other way to hide the shyness (as if it'll do anything). despite dating him for months or even years, the way he kisses you makes your stomach flutter, and jaehyun only chases after your lips when you pull away. he's eager of course. your kisses, your lips are like his lifeline he can't live without them.

he's so dramatic.

sungho, your cheeks

it's the cheek kisses, the quick ones where his lips barely stay for seconds. he finds it quick and easy which still shows how much he loves and there's so many! there's the 'i'm home kisses', 'i'll be right back' kisses, the 'I'm so proud of you kisses'. he really loves the 'i love you' ones.

leaning on his palm watching you talk about your day while you eat dinner, and he's just so mesmerized by your beauty, by your whole existence. stands up from his seat to place a very long smooch on your cheek. and when you raise an eyebrow at him, asking what's with him, he just gives you a laugh and says he wanted to give you one.

riwoo, your forehead

adores forehead kisses...there's just so much love that can simply be placed on someone's forehead. to riwoo forehead kisses are so gentle and loving, and sometimes a way of showing he cares about you. moves your hair out of the way and plants a delicate kiss on your forehead and when you frown he kisses between your brows--completely wiping the furrowedness clean.

forehead kisses are used as a way to comfort each other. when things get stressful for you and your exams get the best of you he gives you a kiss; his arms will embrace you while gently rubbing your back up and down, and he slowly, pulls away to leave a sweet kiss on your forehead.

taesan, your neck

he loves kissing your neck, it's his little safe place. when you're doing the dishes or something in the kitchen he will approach you from behind, wrap his arms around your waist leave a little kiss on your neck. taesan would rest his head on your shoulder, his breath tickling you and leaving him in giggles watching you squirm. and leave a small trail of wet kisses all over the side and crook of your neck to urge you to finish faster. will stay there and watch you work (and lean down when you do). he'll ask if you need help with anything (just so he can cuddle with you later)

loves receiving it more than giving though. loves it when you hide in the crook of his neck and leaving small pecks on his soft skin. The feeling of your lips on his neck always sends shivers down his spine, makes him want to curl up like a cat and cuddle with you for all eternity.

leehan, your inner wrist

loves placing his lips on your inner wrist; there's something so endearing about it. sends shivers down your spine when his lips touch your skin. will send a raspy giggle your way, dimples showing and all, loving the way your words barely become an audible whisper when he kisses it again.

it comes so naturally; he's holding your hand and mindlessly brings it to his lips. his breath warming your skin. he loves the way you falter, the way your eyes crinkle with love just for all, all for him. and for the most part, you've gotten used to it, the way his lips would softly brush against your skin but it still makes you melt. ( I want him so bad )

woonhak, your nose

woonhak loves your nose. he thinks it's just so boopable! so kissable! how can anyone resist your cuteness! gently cups your face with his hands gives you the toothiest smile, loves the immediate response was for you to lean into his touch. the fact that you trust him so much warms his heart. pads your cheeks with your thumb and leans in just for you to feel his lips on your nose. one! and two! and three kisses! then finally pulling back, his eyes darting around, waiting for a reaction, and throwing his head back when you scrunch your nose.

he genuinely loves how your eyes crinkle with the giddiest glint. most people would find it's an odd place to kiss but your reactions are always so heart-wrenchingly adorable he can't help but let out a very big phat kiss on your nose

Sungho:

From what i’ve seen sungho loves to sing so this is based from that.

As the oldest of the group he seems pretty responsible so I see him handling this maturely.

Also a huge sweetheart :(

“Hey y/n, you’re not coming to bed?!” You hear your boyfriend shouting from the bedroom. It was currently one in the morning and every ounce of sleepiness has left your body, making you sit in the living room and stare at the ceiling.

With no response you hear sungho make his way out of the bedroom until he’s standing arms crossed in front of you. “babe?” He questions before you turn your head to face him.

He leans down slightly to get closer to your level before moving a strand of hair out of your eyes and smiling softly. “Cant sleep hm?”

“I’m not really tired, you can go to sleep though I know you’ve had a long day!” You try to say cheerily before he shakes his head.

“At least come lay with me, you know I cant sleep without you” He says, now grabbing your hands and leading you to your comfortable bed. You throw yourself down with a sigh and attempt to close your eyes.

Within seconds you start to hear soft humming while sungho lightly hugs you. You smile softly with the peaceful sound starting to lull you to sleep with a successful and happy sungho following behind.

Riwoo:

This boy… I don’t see him as a cuddler AT ALL like the other members. No matter how much he likes you.

Also mature but realistic, if you cant sleep he wont try to force it but will definitely try to help.

We know he likes sweets so—

“y/n ah-“ Riwoo says while looking at you from the kitchen table. You had just finished taking a shower as the long day you’ve had, drained you completely. “Come” he finishes with a slight smile.

You pad over to where he’s sitting, seeing a few of your favorite treats and cravings laid out.

You let out a wide smile and hurriedly make your way to sit down next to him.

“I am pretty sleepy babe, i’ll stay with you for a bit and watch some videos with you, when you get sleepy i’ll be in bed waiting for you.” He says sweetly. He leaves after around 20 minutes, the silence around you and fullness from the snacks getting to you.

You make your way to the bedroom, seeing your boyfriend sleeping soundly. Lighting lifting up the covers and slipping in next to him, you let the warmth consume you.

You dont know how much times passes before you start to feel sleepy and let your eyes close, finally letting yourself sleep.

Jaehyun:

I love him. BIGGEST cuddler and sweetheart ever.

Sorry but if you can’t sleep, he says you can, and will not sleep until you are.

“Did you change yet” You hear a shout, followed by a sleepy jaehyun exiting out of your shared bathroom. “you’re not changed? It’s late babe..” He says disappointedly.

“Sorry i’m not really sleepy love” You reply with a frown to your face, watching as your boyfriend moves to the dresser to pull out some of his clothes for you.

“No. You need sleep and you know it.” He responds unfolding the clothes in hand and coming up to you. “up” He says and motions his head for you to lift up your arms.

With a sigh you let him have his way knowing his stubborn self wont change his mind. You lift your arms up allowing him to take off the hoodie you were wearing, now covered in one of his own baggy shirts. He does the same for your pants and puts you in one of his soft pajama pants.

“cute” he whispers and places a kiss to your lips before hugging your waist tightly. He quickly maneuvers you two into the bed, and covers you both underneath the comforter.

He wraps his arms around you once more while placing your head into his chest, tangling your legs together so you cant leave.

“Match your breathing to mine baby, slow breaths okay?” He says sweetly while rubbing your waist soothingly. You follow his words and within minutes you start to feel your eyes get heavy.

“Love you..” You mumble out before you let yourself drift off, causing jaehyun to smile widely. “Love you too y/n, sleep tight” He replys, now allowing himself to follow behind you.

Taesan:

Mr introverted vinyl bf. He’s so adorable and so shy. (lowkey got carried away)

I can literally only see him playing his soft music for you guys to fall asleep too :( so cute

After trying for what felt like hours to get yourself to fall asleep, you start to think about giving up. Maybe you should get up and walk around? No, Taesans feels so warm next to you, and he never cuddles you when he’s awake so maybe you should take advantage of this moment?

You’re cut off from your thoughts from a movement behind you. You hold your breath as you hear you boyfriend take a deep breath, who’s somewhat awake now.

“Baby?” He says groggily, removing the arm that was holding your stomach and untangling your guy’s legs from each other, lifting himself up to see your face. “You’re still awake?? Did you not sleep at all?” He proceeds, now fully awake and aware of your situation.

“mm” you mumble back with a frown on your face, upset that he’s unattached from you.

“Talk to me y/n… what’s going on?” Taesan says, slowly rubbing up and down your arm.

“Nothing really, i’ve just been having troubles sleeping i guess” you reply. Hoping he’d drop it and go back to sleep to leave you with your own thoughts.

He gives you a small pout in return and gets out of bed, walking up to his stack of vinyls and picking an album that he knew could lull you to sleep. He puts the vinyl into the player and lets it run, returning himself back to bed and placing himself behind you again.

“ I know I don’t show it too much but you mean a lot to me y/n, try to sleep well okay?” He says before wrapping himself around you which he’s never done while awake.

You let a tear fall, feeling how much he truly cares before feeling the stressed feeling leave your body, now at ease from the confession. Within minutes you’re sleeping soundly with your lover.

Leehan:

Hehehehe fish boy, i love this oddball

He is so interesting…Saw how caring he was in some videos and my heart- Definitely the comforting type.

“come here love” You hear your boyfriend call sweetly from the living room. It was late and you knew he must be tired, but knowing him, he was going to be there with you throughout your struggles, even if that includes his precious sleep.

“Yes ‘han” You say giving him a smile. Seeing him sitting in front of his fish tank like always.

“I got a few new friends I need help naming. Look how cute they are!!” He says excitedly as you go to stand behind him. He grabs your arms from the chair he’s sitting on and wraps your arms around his shoulder. “What should we name this little guy here?” he asks while looking up at you.

You lightly brush some hair out of his face before replying with a name. “ I love it!!” He gasps in delight causing you to giggle at his demeanor change.

“You think this fishie here looks sleepy? He probably thinks you deserve some rest too you know, he’s looking straight at you.”

“That you’re right about leehan, I just feel a bit hyper still… how about you go before me?” you start before you’re cut off by your boyfriend standing and grabbing your hand, bringing you to bed.

“Howww about I tell you some stories about my fish from back home while we lay down hm? Maybe then it’ll help you calm down” He finishes, before beginning his tangent until he hears your slow breaths, smiling to himself that he was able to help.

Woonhak:

This lil cutey omg. I saw this one video where he was cooking at night for jae, this is inspired by that.

Such a sweetheart that will do literally anything for you.

“You hungry?” Woonhak asks from the door frame, watching as you finish your skincare routine.

“mmm not really, I think im good” you reply giving him a slight smile. He crosses his arms at that.

“Well im cooking for us so. You can never sleep properly if you dont have a full tummy babe. Some warm soup sound good?” Woonhak says as he makes his way into the kitchen, not allowing you to answer.

By the time you get into the kitchen, he’s already started boiling the water. You go up behind him to wrap your arms around his waist, your forehead pressed against his back.

“Just a little while longer” He says, turning around in your grip to smile down at you.

Within due time he finishes the soup for the two of you, leading you to the living room so that you guys can watch a movie and eat. He knew that movies tend to get you sleepy as well.

Halfway through the movie, soup long gone he felt your head drop onto his shoulder, smiling to himself he turns off the tv and puts the dishes away before going back to your sleeping form on the couch.

He picks you up and lays you carefully on the bed, placing himself next to you and allowing your face to rest in the crook of his neck. “goodnight pretty” he whispers as you both sleep in each others arms.

Riwoo chuckles affectionately. “You showed me your dream bedroom once while we were playing We’re Not Really Strangers. I think it was a year and a half ago?”

TAESAN

Sure enough, you let out a sound of surprise. One that Taesan would have gone crazy for, but he’s panicking hard.

“Uh, it’s not what it looks like?” he says softly.

“Tae, all the songs in this playlist are all my favourites! That’s so cool, do we have the same music taste?” you exclaim, bewildered.

Taesan chuckles awkwardly, “Yeah, we’re really meant to be, huh?”

Maybe next time he’ll tell you about his uncountable playlists dedicated to you.

LEEHAN

Pairing: Riwoo x reader

Synopsis: You and Riwoo spend the night of the 24th together. Taking a walk in the snow then cuddling up with movies and hot chocolate when it gets cold.

Note: I thought about taking a winter walk with Riwoo and it had to be done. 🤭 You could listen to 24 to 25 by Stray Kids but it doesn't need to be. I feel like it works both ways (unlike with Shotaro's and Jeongin's; Riwoo's the sweet middle). Also I know it's the holidays but please don't forget about those who need us. Let's keep Palestinian and countries like them in our minds and hearts ❣️

Riwoo slowed his pace to match yours. You were distracted looking at the snow creations that people made earlier in the day. He watched you with a small smile on his face. As the two of walked, you'd make up stories for the snow-people along the way as well. And at a particularly funny joke from Riwoo, you'd lean into his side as you laughed. Each time had him working harder to make you laugh so you'd do it again. The two of you reached the warm dorm apartment. You dramatically shivered as you walked inside the front door.

"It's cold" you said as you hung up both of your guy's coats.

"Come here then" Riwoo replied from where he gone to. You saw him in the kitchen, standing at the counter. He was watching the kettle that you had brought with you. You slunk over to him, once again dramatically shivering as you did. Riwoo just laughed softly as he wrapped you into a hug. The two of you rocked in place as you waited for the kettle to finish boiling. You were almost asleep when the kettle made itself known. Riwoo pulled away to pour the water into the mugs he had sat to the side. One was a plain chocolate powder while the other had peppermint inside as well. "Come help me stir" he told you, pulling out two spoons.

"Where's the whip cream?" you asked him as the two of you finished. You had gained your excitement back again, shown in the way you couldn't help the stomping your feet in excitement. Riwoo chuckled as you barely held back jumping. He shook the whip cream canister making you more excited. You watched as he began putting some into the mugs. Riwoo complied when you asked for more on yours.

"There" he said as he put some onto your nose. The two of you laughed as you struggled to get the whip cream from your nose with your tongue. Riwoo took out a napkin and gently grabbed your face. He wiped at where the whip cream had gotten on your face.

"Why you'd do that?" you asked with a smile as you stared up into his eyes.

"Cause you have more whip cream than hot chocolate at this point already" he responded with a smile of his own. Riwoo leaned down the slight height to give you a kiss. "Bring the cookies with you" he said, grabbing the mugs and walking to his room. You whined behind him, with the cookies in hand, asking for more kisses.

when he realizes he's fallen in love with you, sanghyeok tends to be more distant with you, but simply out of sheer shyness. but he'll still do his best to get your attention in subtle ways : he delivers flowers at your house with a little card and a hand-written poem, he tries to send you signals on social networks, hoping that miraculously you'll understand that he's talking to you.. he's a discreet admirer whom you've noticed and whom you like to panic by getting a little too close to him, just to see his cheeks redden because of your smile.

he was already clingy, but when he realizes he's developed feelings for you, oh boi, jaehyun is even more clingy. nevertheless, there are some changes that you can easily notice : the tips of his ears get redder when you flirt with him, he's always trying to hold your hand in his, even when you're doing nothing but sitting close to each other, he always tries to get your attention and gets sulky when you talk to other boys.. he's so down for you, he can't help reminding you that he exists all the time.

to have spent so much time by your side, getting to know you and finding out more about you, dongmin realized that his heart was beating faster than normal when his eyes met your smile. he'll become more shy, without giving you radio silence. but let's just say that he laughs more easily at your jokes, that he observes you smiling like an idiot more often, and most of all, he'll share more of his favorite music with you. to say that donghyun has had a crush on you since first sight would not be a lie — of course, his feelings built up gradually, but you were already running through his mind every day since you met. he's quite calm, and has no trouble keeping his feelings to himself, but he tends to look you in the eye in a different way now. more warmly, more tenderly, with a hint of shyness in his eyes. and he has to admit that your smile makes his heart skip a beat.

woonhak is totally vocal about the fact that he loves you. he don't care about other people opinions, he just wants to make sure you know he likes you. so every day, he brings you a carton of his favorite chocolate milk, leaving a note on it, reminding you that he likes you — again. or he'll probably just show up when you least expect it, standing in front of you with the most dazzling smile, and you have to admit that hearing him say those words in person makes you all shy and smiley. even if you need time to make a decision, woonhak remains patient and does everything to keep your full attention on him.

I’d say he’s more touchy than he is cuddly, not the type to always be hanging off of you or smushed to your side. He sits somewhere in the middle, although he does love having his arm over your shoulders, it makes it easier to pull you into his chest when you’re in public/around other people. He isn’t very grabby himself but he loves having a partner who is! Thinks it’s the cutest when you’re moving to somehow rest against him, when your legs are over his thighs, holding onto his arm as you walk together etc. Also loves a good morning cuddle when he has the spare time, loves rubbing your waist/tummy, kissing the back of your neck and shoulder :,) makes it so hard for him to leave!

Born cuddly, #1 cuddler. Almost impossible to get him off of you. A lot of the time his clinginess leads to unexpected naps together because once he feels your warmth, catches your scent, he’s knocked out regardless of where the two of you are, moves closer in his sleep to curl further into your body’s warmth. Sweet Myungjae, the type to babble sleepily when he’s just too tired to enunciate his words :( a slur of whines mixing in his incoherent voice as he nuzzles and pushes against you. A literal puppy, always asking for just 5 more minutes.

I’d say is the most normal abt cuddling with you, he’s not all over you but he always likes having you within arms reach if he can, holding your hand, hand on your inner thigh, your neck, always feeling for you if you aren’t in his line of sight. He’s generally just very affectionate but it’s never suffocating, sometimes being all over each other can be a little stressful and he respects that, there’s healthy boundaries between the two of you so nothing ever feels out of place or unavoidable.

Another casual enjoyer of your cuddles, he loves it but he isn’t loud about loving it. Won’t admit it but he can’t get enough of you being all over him. Will yell and complain “No more!” As he simultaneously helps you adjust into a comfortable position so you can get in a good cuddle. Cuddling is never something he talks about wanting, it just happens naturally, the both of your bodies almost gravitate towards each other. is smiling dancing singing -- just everything! woonhak is so excited to see you perform. thinks you look absolutely gorgeous. can't stay in his seat pt2. fighting the urge to dance along and of course, he loses when he finds himself dancing with jaehyun during the chorus. staff members from the side are telling him to calm down, which he does, but not really. has way too much energy (^⸝⸝> ·̫ <⸝⸝ ^)

does your fanchant and fans are literally recording him doing it, calling him ( your group ) best boy, best fanboy. jaw drops to the floor when you wink at the camera and the boy freezes in place. it's like he's falling in love all over again. turns to his hyungs to show them that he knows your choreography, he's adorable. gosh he loves you so much.

warnings: angst, so much crying, physical touch

author’s note: i was gonna post cute lil texts but no <3 tonight is an angsty night so now u guys get this i’m SAWRY </3

writing under the cut !

sungho: he automatically becomes upset, almost aggressive, on your behalf. he wants to throw hands with whoever is making you cry so much because his heart breaks at the sight of someone he loves so deeply being so upset. you can physically see his expression change when you tell him the situation and why you’re upset, and the way he too gets upset. he’s naturally a fixer, so, he will want to do whatever in his power to make you feel better. if you need to beat up a pillow, he’ll hold it for you as you let your emotions out. if you need to rant until the sun comes up, he’ll sit there and listen intently. he’ll recommend the best ways to cool down, and you’ll ultimately feel so relieved afterwards.

riwoo: when he sees you with tear stained cheeks, sniffling constantly, his heart breaks. he’s so worried, shock filling his features, but puts his own thoughts aside to comfort you. he’s so considerate, asking you what you need from him. he’ll ask you if you want to order your favorite food and wrap you up in a cozy blanket as you discuss your problems. he’s also someone really great to have there for you when you just need to sit with your thoughts for a moment. he’ll snuggle up to you, playing with your hair as you sit in silence. his presence is so gentle that just having him there in your vicinity is more than enough to stop the tears.

myungjae: he’s crying with you. not actually, but on the inside, he’s definitely crying. his chest feels tight and his eyes are glazed over at the sight of you. he loves you with every ounce of his heart, and he will do everything in his power to make you smile again. he’s the best at cheering you up as he’s so goofy that his presence is one that’s so difficult to be upset in. he really tries to brighten up the mood with his positive energy, and it really works wonders. sometimes, it’s nice to just have someone reassure you that things do get better <3

taesan: much like sungho, he wants to fix the problem. you would sit with him on the couch, his arm around you as your head rests on his shoulder while he has you talk things out. he wants to better understand what’s going on. specifically, he wants to solve whatever is bothering you so much to the point where you show up at his house with swollen eyes and wet cheeks. he’ll try to come up with solutions for you if you ask for his help, and he always has some wise words to give you. he somehow always knows exactly what to say in order to both calm you down and help your situation. he’s a practical comforter for sure.

leehan: his first instinct is to hug you. when you show up at his doorstep with uncontrollable tears streaming down your cheeks, he’s on you in a second. his arms wrapping around you, his gentle hands rubbing your back, telling you “it’s okay, let it out. i’m here.” he doesn’t care that you’re outside, he’ll let you cry on and on until you feel better. once your tears stop flowing, he’ll invite you inside and let you talk to your heart’s content. he’ll listen intently as you explain what made you so upset and nod along, he’s the most comforting listener out there that when you eventually leave, you feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders. you feel as though you can breathe a little easier with him by your side.

psh: comforts as usual. he tried calling, texting, all that sort, he just lays onto your shared bed, sinking in the mattress hoping you’d be home by the following minutes, he’d listen to your guys’ playlist to past time, suddenly hearing a knock at the door he sparks up sharp and gets out of bed “where have you been.. I missed you” his sleepy eyes say a lot, he just holds you tight rubbing your back softly, though he doesn’t question you much as you both were lead back into your bedroom to doze off.

lsh: he definitely overthinks— he’s wondering around the house hoping you’d pick up the call as he mumbles to himself, praying your safe, he leaves the door of the apartment unlocked but still can’t doze of to sleep not until he sees you’re right in-front of him and fine. As you open the door he immediately rushes out “are you okay?? Where have you been?!” He hugs you tightly not wanting to let go “I’m fine riri,,” he’s still a little worried but at ease, not wanting to bother you with questions you both go to bed, he’s just glad you’re okay.

mjh: very worried at first and it just slowly starts changing into being upset, just like riwoo, he will overthink it, thinking you might be in danger or so,, you try sneaking by using your keys but fail as the doors were locked, you rang the door bell and jaehyun didn’t take even 1 second to rush and answer “it’s so late..” he takes you inside “where were you, it’s nearly 3am” he visibly looks upset “I’m sorry jae,, I’m too tired to talk can we sleep?,,” you yawn hugging into his arms as he carry’s he to the bedroom, still upset but happy you’re safe with him.

hdm: as his impatient self, sitting on the couch, his foot taping every second that passes, taesan is NOT the patient kind, it annoyed him that you wasn’t showing up, taking matters into his own hands he gets up and out of the apartment now trying to look for you around your streets, as he spots you around the corner walking slowly looking tired as if you was leaping over your own steps, he slowly rushes to where you are “it’s freezing at this time” taking his jacket off to put over you, you look up at him “sorry taesan, I stayed behind on shift and —yawns— I’m really,, tired..” taesan puts his arm around you whilst you go back into the apartment ready to cuddle and sleep.

kdh: overprotective asl, he is MAD that you aren’t picking up any calls, he stands and waits right against the door as you knock and he opens the door you’re greeted with a harsh overprotective sounding “where were you. Why haven’t you looked at your phone and answered my calls.” , “baby my phon—“ he interrupted now closer to you “do you not understand how fucking worried I was??” You just look away and try going to your bedroom but he holds you still “you know I just care for you..” he looks at you sharply, you sigh “ I’m sorry leehan but can we please go to bed, am tired..” nodding as he follows you behind to go get some rest too.

kwh: cannot stay up late even though it was a life or death situation- he waits infront of the door, phone in his hand hoping his messages go through but slowly and surely his eyes close up on him, opening the apartment door as you step in you’re greeted with couch-sleeping woonhak, his phone right next to him on your contact, not wanting to wake him up you kiss his cheek and get him a blanket as you go pass out onto the bed and get sone rest.

nervous puppy

would not stop asking you what your parents like to talk about on the way there (you entertain him though, he listens to what you have to say about your parents so attentively it does things to your heart)

you lowkey have to drag him to your parents’ front porch bc he’s having second thoughts as soon as you pull up on the driveway

your mom fawns over him, chattering about how “he’s so cute!” and “i’ve always wanted a son!” while jaehyun and your dad bond over his football knowledge (which your dad deems impressive, much to your endearment)

at the end of the day, jaehyun has charmed them so much you’d think you were the one visiting jaehyun’s parents with the way they’re so reluctant to let him go home with you

“You know, your dad has never been like this with any of the boys you’ve brought home before,” your mom sighs in bliss as the two of you stand by the kitchen, watching Jaehyun and your dad chat animatedly about football.

“Well, I guess he’s just really excited to have someone to geek out over football with,” you chuckle in reply, smiling in endearment at the two favourite men in your life bonding in front of your eyes.

“I think it’s more than that,” your mom speaks up, taking your hands in hers, “we’ve seen the way he looks at you, dear, he’s a real keeper.”

You choke on a breath. “Oh, mom, why are you getting sappy on me?”

“It’s true!” your mom breaks out into a small laugh, smoothing over your hair. “He must really love you a lot, to be coming all the way here and entertaining your old man. Take care of him, yeah?”

SUNGHO

don’t be deceived by the brave front he’s putting on, because as soon as you look away he’s on the verge of crumbling and folding in half at the stress

what if your parents don’t like him? he really doesn’t want to mess things up because he knows how much this means to you, and to your relationship

your warm hand on his thigh as he drives to your parents’ place soothes him just a little, overthinking the multitude of ways things can go wrong on the way there

once your parents open the door though, all his worries fade away

your parents are absolutely smitten with him

your mom fell in love with him as soon as she laid eyes on him (the face card truly does wonders!), though your dad needed some convincing before he grunted and reached out his hand for a handshake (he’s just sappy that he’s not the only man in your life anymore)

the dinner goes by smoothly, and sungho feels right at home as your parents treat him like one of their own!

“Let me help you with the dishes, sweetheart,” Sungho walks over to stand beside you as you scrub one of the many plates with dishwashing soap.

“It’s okay, dearie, you should go outside and entertain my mom. She’s quite the talkative one,” you reply, smiling at him with your eyes and nudging his shoulder to signal to him to go outside.

“Sungho? Come here, I got y/n’s old photo albums, you’ll love this!” your mom’s voice travels from the living room and into the kitchen, and you groan.

Sungho simply chuckles and tells your mom that he’d “be right over”. He rests a hand on your waist and squeezes the skin there, giving you a fond look that says “I’ll see you” in his dictionary before leaving to look at the treasure your mom brought in.

RIWOO

another nervous bf

he usually prefers to steer clear of social interaction, but this is for you, so he makes the effort to step out of his comfort zone to interact with the two other favourite people in your life

has to psych himself up constantly as the two of you approach your parents' place, holding onto your hand for comfort

all his worries go down the drain as he meets your parents, because they make him feel right at home immediately

he's practically their son at the end of the day, with your mom cooing over you and your dad nodding at you in acknowledgement

"Hey," Riwoo greets, taking a seat beside you on the couch. He had been helping your mom out in the kitchen after dinner, insisting to wash the dishes.

"Hey yourself," you nudge his arm, smiling. "How was today? You know, you're practically one of us now, with how Mom is absolutely smitten with you."

Riwoo lets out a soft smile. "I'm glad."

"That's a step closer to getting their approval to marry you, isn't it?"

TAESAN

he was born for this

he’s ready with a white button-down and navy blue slacks, a bouquet in hand for your mom (which you complain about in mock jealousy, bc he rarely ever goes all out for you)

his confidence falters a little once you reach your parents’ front porch, and you can see him start to doubt himself

you take his hand in yours and squeeze his hand reassuringly, reminding him that he has nothing to worry about

and he indeed doesn’t have anything to worry about, because his excellent social skills and ability to just know what to say everytime flatters both your mom and dad, much to your surprise

the day ends with your parents being completely won over by taesan, impressing you to no end

“Oh, come in, Taesan! y/n has told us so much about you, I’ve been waiting for you to come over,” your mom drags Taesan into the house as soon as the door swings open, leaving you behind with you dad as the both of you watch them leave.

“He doesn’t look half bad,” your dad acknowledges, stepping aside for you to come in.

Your mom talks Taesan’s ear off as he sits good-naturedly on the couch, the bouquet of flowers he brought resting on the coffee table, and you look on with a huge smile on your face.

“Mom, do you need help with preparing dinner?” you ask as an attempt to save Taesan from your mom’s never-ending talkativeness. Your mom lets out a surprised ‘oh!’, instructing you to stay put as she goes into the kitchen to resume preparing for dinner.

“She never runs out of things to ask you, huh?” you chuckle, taking a seat beside him on the couch.

Taesan suppresses a laugh. “Yeah. I was surprised, honestly, given how much you’ve already told her and your dad,”

LEEHAN

is excited and terrified at the same time

he’s excited to meet your parents, the very reason why you exist, and he’s terrified that they wouldn’t like him

he doesn’t show it though, but you can tell from how he starts breaking out into a cold sweat and starts tapping his foot on the way there

you take his hand in yours and squeeze it, and it calms him down a little

it takes a little convincing, but he makes it to your parents’ front porch with an uneasy smile plastered on his face

which turns into a genuine one as soon as your parents welcome him into the house warmly, making him feel right at home

the day ends with leehan’s heart (and stomach) full with love from your family, and he can’t wait to see them again

"So," you clasp your hands together and turn to look at Leehan once the both of you are in the car, "how was today? My parents didn't scare you off... right?"

Leehan breaks out into laughter, giving you the cutest eye smile you've ever seen. "No, of course not, baby. I loved today, your parents were really cool!"

"Really? I'm cooler though, right?" you smile giddily, reaching out to hold his hand.

Leehan taps his finger on his chin, pretending to think. "Hmm, I'll have to think about that one, actually."

"Hey!" you raise your voice in mock anger, and the two of you break out into laughter at the same time, leaning towards each other as you laugh.

"I'm kidding, I love you, yeah?" Leehan rests his forehead on yours, smiling brightly. "Let's go home."

WOONHAK

someone help this poor boy out he’s so nervous T-T

he’d be dreading it so bad the whole way there

it has nothing to do with you or your parents, of course, he’s just worried he wouldn’t be able to meet your parents’ expectations (you really weren’t helping when you recounted horror stories of how strict they were about who you were dating)

it would take some convincing and many kisses (+ promises to cuddle as soon as you get home) for him to finally get out of the car and onto your parents’ front porch

honestly he really had nothing to worry about, he doesn’t even have to do anything, just stand there with that goofy smile of his and your mom is sold

even your dad, who’s known to be extremely hard on whoever you bring home, gets along swimmingly with woonhak during the dinner (he even invites woonhak to come back again sometime, which shocks both you and your mom)

“Come on, mom, we have to go! Woonhak has an early day tomorrow,” you whine, pulling Woonhak towards the door, much to your parents’ dismay.

“Oh, y/n, it’s still early! I wanted to watch the Lakers game with Woonhak,” your dad cuts in, sounding so disappointed you coo on the inside.

“Well, we certainly don’t mind you guys getting married sooner if it means more opportunities to bond like this,” your dad makes an out-of-pocket comment, and your eyes widen.

You open your mouth to retort, but Woonhak takes your hand in his, beating you to it, “We’ll take that into consideration!”

why? was your initial thought. although it was common sense to everyone that everything happens for a reason, yet somehow your brain can’t fathom why it happened. how it happened? and where it all went wrong?

you’ve never felt true pain until that day. the day you found out your 2-year-long boyfriend, riwoo, was cheating on you with you best friend — you vividly remember it like it was yesterday. the excitement you felt as you walked into his house to surprise him. the way you found yourself overthinking as you ascended up the stairs to his room. the way you felt your heart drop as you caught them making out in his room. the same room you two had cuddled in. the same one he uttered ‘i love you’ for the first time.

you recall the pathetic look on both their faces. and how embarrassed you felt. and despite the fact that you could feel the seething rage that had been lit within you begin to surface, you remained calm and simply walked out the room without saying a word. hearing his footsteps behind you reminded you of every teenageAmerican movie, where the guy pleads for the girlfriend not to leave him after he was caught cheating. cliche if you asked yourself.

it tormented you for months. you had a persistent gut-wrenching feeling whenever you thought about it, which was quite frequent unfortunately. what also didnt help was seeing them both being all lovey dovey at school, as if their miserable asses didnt come crawling back to you for forgiveness. the snarky remarks they made, the dirty looks you got from them. you felt a never-ending gloomy cloud linger over you, one that you knew wasn’t going leave anytime soon.

but, like all things in life, you got over it. you had realised that maybe things weren’t so horrible after all. especially when jaehyun came into the picture. you were well aware it was wrong. you knew he was riwoo’s best friend, but damn did you two get along. and maybe, just maybe, things didn’t entirely go wrong as you thought it had.
