My theory (the one that I had to change because research) was about Doc Janus’ potions and what they do—

Anyhoo, long story short, the potions are standard dnd potions and will do the following…💛🖤

Not that it matters but my OG theory involved how the potions gave the drinker traits of the sides depending on which one they drank

ie. the purple potion would give the drinkers fight or flight strength; ability to talk to spiders; etc… a la Virgil’s traits

But it’s debunked

My Theories for Upcoming Roleslaying With Roman Episodes :

We’ve seen Janus, we know who Youngblood represents, We know Roman’s Roman.. but what about Patton, Logan, and Remus? I feel like the reason why Roman’s dad never speaks about Roman’s mom is because she divorced him and left with Remus. I know it sounds false, since Thomas himself has said that the storyline of RWR does not have any correlation with Sandersides. But hear me out-

“Dad.. where’s mom?”

“Well Roman- er.. maybe we’ll talk about this another day.”

And then he brings it up with Aunt Patty after Roman goes to bed

“He’ll find out soon about Remus and his mother, the two of them are just too powerful together. We can’t have that.”

“I know, but is keeping Roman in the dark the best thing?”

There’s a scene in the intro that I think takes place in the next episode. I believe it takes place in the bard university. Because of the mist with eyes that we see for a moment.

He could also be the very much unwanted child of the king.

I think the execution of other sides within Roleslaying with Roman does open the door for fan interpretation of how the characters would function outside of the confines of emboying an aspect of C!Thomas.

As an example, I've seen a lot of people interpret Janus as a lawyer but by playing with what kind of career he'd have within Roleslaying (i.e. insurance seller) we can then use it as a sorta footnote of other careers we can use going forward. Or how Roman was a less romance heavy guy and more naive and gullible to the world outside his home village. Heck, we can even have Youngblood (at least currently in the series) act as a stand in for how Virgil would interact with the world as a person rather than just a fragmant of C!Thomas's person (not saying that Virgil won't be human in Roleslaying I'm only using vague terminology considering how Janus didn't have any human he was all snake).

I for one am rather curious to see how they'll go about all the other sides as the series goes on... If they add more sides, that is. For all we know they only plan on having a select number of sides appear in the universe for whatever reason.

(Note: I don't mean this to say that the interpretation of the sides that doesn't align with Roleslaying is wrong or flawed, I just mean that it could become a tool to better represent the sides outside of the context of being embodied concepts and philosophies for anyone who stuggles with any particular side. Which, mood.)

But here is my current #rwrcorkboard for Roleslaying Ep6! All things to note and theories I gleaned from the episode!

ALSO!

- Colour guard is the non-musical section of the marching band so f-u to Roman cause that one was a low blow

- People telling Noise ‘he didn’t earn the chair’ hurts them

- Noise proposing a Battle of the Bards is going to make an interesting next episode!!

Important to note:

- All That Glitters (title of the episode) comes from “all that glitters is not gold” which is from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice. The meaning is this: just because something is bright and shiny and NEON and electricity and casinos, does NOT mean it is good or worth anything of value. Meaning the whole city is a sham.

Mike Ro’Phone was the other person in the picture on the employee of the month. Them and Goat are bitter (or butter? Lol) rivals about it

This image in the opening credits?? Is this Noise and is this The Battle of the Bards???

Doc Janus’ bottles are all the same colours as the sides lol

He also has six hands, not unlike another Janus we know.

The potion that Youngblood selected will give him Mind Reading ability later on

All the billboards outside of Fantabulous Neon were all named after people who worked on this series and other art for the channel
