The only character limitations are:

1. no one's a Bard yet, that's why you're all actively in Bard College. You're all various other classes (and have SOMEHOW managed to scrape a few levels together in them without dying) before realizing yeeeaaaahhh this career path... isn't really working out. Let's try school again I guess?

2. EITHER strength, dex, or con MUST be a dump stat. You and you're friends are all (title droooopppp) walking this mile.

And obvs the goal is to multiclass in Bard, to however many levels are desired, but maybe it's like. Cheapo Community Bard College. So theyve got (exhausted) professors and courses on loan from all the actual colleges so different players can do college of valor, college of whispers, etc.
