Season 28 Silent Witness

I have many questions about the move of production of silent witness from London to Birmingham in 2024. Firstly this must be for season 28, not 27 as the BBC keeps stating, as 27!is already underway with filming in London. Secondly I struggle to understand how they work the move into the storyline. Jack has only just bought a new house so if he was to move that would be the 3rd house in almost as many years!! Also would the move of location mean a move in the story setting, or would it just be pretending it’s London, like when they film shows in LA but pretend it’s New York. If they were to set it it Birmingham then what would the reason for the new jobs be. My fear is that if Jack died, Nikki would feel the need to move out of the Lyell Centre and out of London to get away from all the memories. It is possible they could move together but it seems a strange option. The alternative is that the couple just have their life and it’s a new Silent Witness without the 2 main stars and new characters instead. I feel this would be a HUGE mistake and would be unsuccessful. I’m hoping that nothing much changes but it’s a big change in my view. You would have though that the BBC would have run the idea past Emilia and David. If they don’t agree to be in the show it might as well end with season 27. At least it would in my eyes. Rant over!!!!!

Hi all,

I just thought it was about time I posted something, so here is a little bit of information about me.

I'm over 18, so I will occasionally discuss topics of an adult nature (appropriate tags/warnings will be used). I have anxiety and I'm pretty sure that I'm autistic (but I've never been formally diagnosed).

I'm proudly Bi (I do not tolerate any hatred towards anyone who is #LGBTQIA+). I believe that #BlackLivesMatter and that all who have faith/religious beliefs have the right to express their views, as long as they do not expect me to have the same views as them (I'm an Atheist).

I live in the UK, but would love to be brave enough to travel the world someday. I'd love to visit (just to name a few places) New York, Egypt (especially Cairo and Luxor), Australia, New Zealand, Paris and Rome.

#Tarlos are my comfort characters. I love everything about them as individuals and as a couple. They make me smile even when I'm having a bad day.

#RonenRubinstein and #RafaSilva are two of my favourite actors (and people in general). Their performances are always 100% and their talent is off the scale. Their passion for subjects that are close to their hearts is inspiring and still informative. Ronen's voice is exceptional and I love #NightsInStereo!

#Ballum and #Sukeve are my joint favourite couple in the only soap I watch (#EastEnders). I will not compare the two couples, as they are both different and I love them equally.

I love shows that are crime/forensic based dramas or scientific in nature (I love a good documentary relating to forensic science). I also love medical dramas. Some of my favourite shows include:

the reason i’m sad about the last episode is bc throughout this series the lyell  was a functioning unit. they worked together, they looked out for each other particularly when times were tough, they cared about each other and ultimately they were a family. 

as soon as clarissa said she was leaving, the family kinda fell apart but they came back together to help jack. I think the saddest part is that they used the relationship between jack and thomas which was strained at times to show this bond. from thomas’ initial hospital visit to the moment he sacrifices himself and ultimately saves jack’s life. it’s clear that their potentially weakest bond, became their strongest.
