i liked it :3 it was really weird but fun

really cool writing! i liked that ramona took the lead. it was a very bold divergence from the comic and the movie um obv but im glad for it. this series was written for the established fanbase of the comics/movie. it felt like someone playing with their old ocs after a change in their life making a new au with the same characters <- nerdass sentence sorry. "a more mature and realized expansion of the story with familiar characters."

the first 5 episodes reminded me of the comics pacing-wise where the characters are just like. doing shit. lot of slow and "pointless" shots and cutaways just for comedy or atmosphere. (vs. the movie which leads each scene super deliberately into the next and everything is pretty much plot focused/"action packed") i enjoyed that the mini-series had the freedom to slow it down while still having a somewhat focused goal (finding scott) (the comics felt Very aimless plotwise IMO) and then after scott returns it picks up and becomes more action action action.

i really liked that matthew patel had a bigger role in the series. and his VA slayed. moody dramatic evil dude.

great animation! the 3d backgrounds were an interesting choice. smart for the fight scenes and not too noticeable against the other painted backgrounds (unless you were like, paying way too much attention to them like i was lmao) though sometimes the characters moving through them felt like paper cutouts moving in 3d space, it still looked nice. the fight scenes were great! although lucas lee's episode (whatever!) kind of dragged on with it.

i also liked that wallace was given a lot of on-screen time and funnies. very good handling of him as a fan favorite. episode 5 that's what boypussy does to a motherfucker. also mobile :)

ramona re-dyeing her hair every episode was cute

edgar wrong and the security guards eating cornettos in the last episode... that was cute. to me.

i def dont think that the series could be watched as a stand alone thing. it was great for what it is, and what it is is a response to the existence of the comic + the movie + the fandom + the backlash/crit of the series = this thing existing in this moment now. i don't think that the series will be timeless. (i don't think the film is the most timeless either, maybe as a time capsule of the era.) but it is fun now and that's what matters.

scott pilgrim dating a highschooler got slightly brushed over (plotwise)... which makes sense w everything else going on. im not sure how i feel about scott's apology to her. maybe that's just me i mean its always been a weird thing anyway. im glad knives chau got to be a part of the band and form a friendship with stephen stills. would have been interesting to go into why knives feels like she cant hang out with people her own age. she just existed as this sort of "young fan girl, a bit weird and overexcited"* and her anger and sadness weren't really there in the way it was for other iterations.

*maybe this was just me but because the audience is already familiar w the characters for the most part it was almost as if every character was parodying themselves to different degrees (not a negative just something i observed) really fun and self-indulgent expansion of the series that doesn't re-tread ground in my opinion.

Since you infected me with A-Team brain rot, what would their musical AU be like?

Ooooh, this is actually a bit of a challenge. Something tells me The A-Team and musicals aren't supposed to mix - well, unless you're looking at Murdock. He thinks he's in a musical either way. I won't be mentioning all of the songs on the show, but they have to be a part of the musical au. Finding 100% accurate songs will be hard sometimes, but I'll still give you vibes.

Speaking of Murdock, since he already sings on the show from time to time, he should be able to sing longer and you'll never know if it'll turn into a full-on number with choreo and everything or if B.A. will interrupt him with a record scratch or smashing his casette player. In taking all the songs I know that have been sung on the show and that I thought would fit, I saw that most of Murdock's were Beach Boys songs, so... That's his show-assigned vibe, I guess. Something that I think would be super funny would be a huge, flashy number of Happy Pills by Weathers in the VA - or literally anywhere - , led by Murdock of course.

B.A. probably wouldn't sing but I can see him doing a spoken word piece, like something Hamilton-esque. I could totally see something like My Shot, except less about US independence. That kind of song could also work for plan-making or building something, so maybe he only ever "sings" in those group performances.

Now, Face. Oooooh boy. You just know Face's songs would be good. The first song I thought of was Joel Grey's cover of Razzle Dazzle from Chicago, but that's honestly also a Hannibal song, so... both it is! His song, the song that would be his "character theme", so to speak, is definitely Good Old-Fashioned Loverboy. On a darker and more symbolic note, I could definitely see him singing Take Me To Church, interpret into that what you will.

Hannibal, as I said, gets Razzle Dazzle together with Face, but I could also totally see him sing something older or something that shows his role in the team as the dad figure. Something a bit sad, but maybe Smile by Mikky Ekko could work. Then again, he also has huge vibes for Feeling Good. You know, THAT song my Michael Bublé. Perfect for scheming Hannibal. Another song I think could work is Specialization by Marilyn Monroe and Frankie Vaughan - something older, something that has to do with movies, old Hollywood... I don't know who'd sing Marilyn's part. Amy doesn't really have the vibes, but she's my first pick for now.

Amy would slay Face with Womanizer, let's be honest. She's got the attitude and it could even fit her voice. Similar vibes: Confident by Demi Lovato. She's a queen, no doubt about it.

And because I love her too much...

Kit gets songs too. Her introduction song could so be The Greatest Show because her circus background is so vital to her character. One more cheerful and upbeat one would be I'm Still Standing by Elton John. Maybe even as a duet with Murdock, just for the vibes? Staying with duets, she could sing Faith by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande with Face or, even better, Do I Wanna Know. Another great song: Do It Like A Dude with B.A. as her hypeman. She could also really belt out Church by Fall Out Boy.

Group songs! The first one might be an odd choice, but... California Dreamin'. Simply because of Murdock's show-assigned Beach Boys theme and because it sounds like something they could sing in the car. Maybe Murdock starts it or Hannibal does and the others join in or do backup vocals. Or in B.A.'s case, he might just tap the steering wheel in the rhythm. The second one is even weirder: You Are My Sunshine. If I had a nickel for every time this song appeared on the show, I'd have two nickels, which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice. Because of this, I image them quietly singing or humming it at some point. But this last one should really fit better: Walk on Water by Thirty Seconds to Mars.

So, without further ado: Here's the playlist and the story behind it

We get introduced to the team and Hannibal and Face make a plan to get Murdock out of the VA. Then, the whole team hops in the van and we get to my fanfic on how the team meets Kit during Children of Jamestown. The story is pretty much the same as in the fic and she joins. Now, we get some more Murdock shenigans and Kit and B.A. bonding. After this, Murdock and Face do their little bit with surf city, showing Face's attitude towards women and setting up the beach theme of the whole musical/movie. Face tries to flirt with Kit but she declines, causing Amy to comment on him being a womanizer. The team arrives at their beach destination of choice and the audience is shown that Kit and Face do have feelings for each other but Kit is just blocking everything out and Face doesn't wanna be pushy because she's a team member. After that, more Murdock shenanigans and Hannibal making a plan, the attempt at executing it and its failure, after which Hannibal tries to "cheer up" the others. Face and Kit are still very much in love and we get a mashup between Church and Take Me To Church to show that. The two of them team up to save the rest of the team and we get a super fun happy end for both the idiots in love and the team as a whole.

Random fic rec, just because I'm in a very appreciative mood and would like to give a shout-out to some frankly amazing writers:

The March of The Black Queen and Killer Queen by @borealis-strange

You like Queen? You like fantasy, magic and adventure? Some beautiful friendship moments, perhaps? Then you need to read this amazing series by this extremely talented, and unfairly underappreciated writer!!!

And you ask yourself, how did I get here by Sharonglitterbombjohn who sadly deactivated on here. A very raw, heartbreaking fem!queen fic that will make you cry like a damn waterfall.

Calling All Ladies by @nightoftheland. One of the first fem!queen fics I've read, which pretty much got me into this AU. It's hard to make me blush, but this super steamy story managed.

The Millionaire's Dinner by @stars-across-space. This one's for the more kinky crowd- quite delicious, if you ask me! And it's fem!queen, too!

Solitary Fame and Rhiannon by @emmaandorlando. The first one is a gorgeous piece written for the Freddie Mercury Weekend, which admittedly became one of my favorites. The second one is a fic that I would just call "THE fem!maylor fic".

The Spoiled Brat Universe by @feedermercury. This is once again for those with a specific kink, but this cool series offers more than that; there's plenty of fluff, too!

Always On My Own by @freesiafields. A beautiful fic written for the Freddie Mercury Weekend, that broke my heart and then put it back together by the end.

Like Tops, Like Gyroscopes and Va' Tu Sei Libero by @freddieofhearts. I'm not gonna lie: reading these fics will hurt. Like, a lot. But both of these are heartbreakingly beautiful and realistic.

So tell me (why my gods look like you) by @iamnotbrianmay. This is not a fic: this feels more like a beautiful poem, something that sticks with you after reading it. An utterly gorgeous fem!queen story.

Canon fluorescent!verse by @immistermercury. It was extremely hard to pick just a few fics from this certain author, who, I believe, is one of the (if not THE) best Jimercury writers in this fandom. This beautiful, often heartbreaking but more often uplifting series of Freddie, the young ballet dancer pushing through all the hardships that life is throwing at him, while finding the love of his life and having a family, is absolutely touching. I'd recommend it to everyone.

The Words Unsaid by @queensilveryrog. This story of model!brian and photographer!john just absolutely blew my mind. It's insane how much emotion this author managed to put into such a short story!

Death On Two Legs by JessiDWalton who I believe is not on tumblr (at least I couldn't find them). This is the hot Maylor demon!AU that I didn't know I needed.

When the monster is too big to slay by @jessahmewren. You can just tell I love breaking my own heart, right? Gosh, the emotions in this! And the dialogue is simply gorgeous all throughout.

I Will Tell You I Love You by lover_of_blue_roses (i think they are also not on tumblr). A sweet Jimercury fic featuring the famous bath video and some sexy times.

Dawn of Aquarius and Blacklight in Zero Gravity by @a-froger-epic. I keep saying that the first fic feels like watching an artsy indie movie - check it out for yourself, if you haven't yet! The ultimate Froger fic, which is painfully realistic and gives you a good glimpse at what life was like for a young gay man in the '60s. The second one is a thrilling Frian fic set in the future - I promise you, you will fall in love with it after the very first chapter.

Calling All Boys and The Way You Love Me Like You Do by @nothingelsematterswrites. The first one is a Deacury/Maylor Tinder AU- did I get you hooked yet? The second one is one of the hottest poly!queen one-shots I've ever read.

Loverboy by @his-majesty-king-mercury. A super sweet Froger story, with plenty of drama- and then a wonderful ending!

Let Your Heart Decide by @pumpkinlilyao3. Only three chapters in, and I'm already in love- another fantastic Froger fic! We love a good friends-to-lovers trope, don't we?

To Tell You When I Find You and Under The Elderberry Tree by @quirkysubject. The first fic is a Froger Titanic AU - do I need to say more? Go, and read it, everybody! Tbh, it's a thousand times better than the actual movie, with flawless characterization as well! The other mentioned fic is a cute Jimercury one-shot, that will make you cry and smile at the same time.

Safe And Sound by Stolentragedies. A fem!queen fic, in a Hunger Games setting? And also full of angst and insanely good characterization? Sign me the fuck up!

this time I know it's for real and Safeword by @freddie-mercurial. I only needed to read the summeries to these to know I will fall in love right away. One is a cute story with single parent!Brian falling for artist!Freddie, and the second is a super steamy, but also very lovely BDSM fic with healthy messages.

The entire I Lay My Life Before You series by @i-lay-my-life-before-queen. I wasn't even all that into a/b/o before I stumbled upon these fics - but these beautiful, compelling stories completely turned me around. We follow Freddie through his fight against Omega discrimination in different settings and versions- and let me tell you, every single story in this series is a touching masterpiece. I would also like to add I Reign With My Left Hand (I Rule With My Right), another fantastic a/b/o story, this time in a poly!queen setting!

hijack my heart; by @sweetestsight (I really hope it's them on tumblr too, if not, I'm sorry for the random tag). This fem!queen fic is just simply brilliant. Badass gangster ladies? Poly!Queen? Mindblowing dialogue? Girls supporting girls? If this was a movie, I would watch the shit out of it.

Don't Turn Around When You Hear Me Tread and Dim The Lights (and sing you songs) by @rhapsodicalfreddie. A secret agents, and a rockstar/groupie AU? And both of them are Frian!? *chef's kiss *

Children of The Land, Love Is Still The Answer by TheHeartOfTheStar AKA the fic that made me fall in love with the OT5 ship, complete with a beautifully written soulmate AU.

Four Men And A Rock And Roll Band and Princes of The Universe by @tikiniki. The mentioned series is what inspired me to write my very first fic. When people mention poly!queen, this writer is the one that immediately comes to my mind (i hope she's doing well!). I didn't realize I would like the second one as much as I did, but it simply blew my mind! Star Wars/Star Trek who?

These are just the ones I can list from the top of my head- but of course there are many more, and let's be real: I'm eternally grateful for all the writers in this fandom! 💕

C'est la seule et unique fois, que j en parlerais sur ce Tumblr, parce que ca n a pas sa place ici, parce que Je crois que mon cerveau a mis cet épisode de ma vie en veille et cet aprem un copine de collège me l a rappelé. J ai été harcelée en primaire, au collège et en partie au lycée (tumblr commençait dans une période pas joyeuse de ma vie en passant). Je m en suis sortie, je ne sais pas comment, sûrement en ayant un groupe d ami extérieur à mon environnement scolaire , qui pour certains sont toujours là. Je n ai pas eu de pensée suicidaire à cette époque-là, mais après, à cause de choses personnelles.

Je n en ai jamais voulu aux personnes qui m ont fait ça, parce que Je me suis toujours dit qu un jour ça viendra, quand aucune idée, mais que ça viendra. Figurez vous que 5 ans après la fin de la primaire, J ai reçu le message d une des personnes, qui m avaient fait du mal (physiquement et moralement), qui s excusait cette fois sincèrement du mal qu'il m avait fait, qu'il avait suivi la masse et qu'il était désolé. J ai accepté les excuses, puis je me suis dit que le mec Ça l a quand même travaillé 5 ans dans sa tête pour qu'il s excuse...

Ce n est pas tout, 12 ans après les faits, soit été 2018, en soirée avec une amie, la boîte bondée, on passe à côté de personnes, qui faisaient partie des initiateurs en primaire, on était bourré, on a parlé et ils se sont excusés de m avoir fait du mal, de m avoir blessé, d avoir suivi le groupe, d avoir agi de la sorte. Avoir des excuses à présenter à qn 12 ans plus tard, c est que ça les a franchement marqué...

En fait cette copine, qui m a écrit, elle l a fait pcq elle réalise un projet sur le harcèlement scolaire et que je suis la "seule" victime qu'elle connaisse autour d elle, et qu'elle s en souvient, parce que c était violent, pas dans les mots, dans les actes, dans la façon de réagir, de faire et que si elle ça l a marqué j imagine pas les autres. Surtout quand je lui ai écrit tout ça, elle m a répondu que passer par dessus c est une preuve de force, de courage et de slaying.

Du coup, sil vous plait, si vous connaissez qn qui se fait harceler, si vous êtes harcelé.e.s, si vous avez été harcelé.e.s, que vous avez de la peine. Croyez moi ON S EN SORT , ON S EN RELÈVE , ON BRILLE, ON EN PARLE AVEC LA PSY, SON CHIEN, SA COUSINE, SA VOISINE, LE MEC DU TABAC, QUI TU VEUX

Moi 12 ans plus tard, J avais fait mon collège. 6 ans de lycée, 3 ans d uni, J avais fait mon bout de vie. Je pense qu en fait cette période m a fait du mal, pas extérieurement, mais psychiquement, J ai pris du poids, je me suis pas trouvée jolie, pas trouver à ma place (c est une autre histoire ça aussi), pas été assez bien.

Mais en 2019, J ai appris à me trouver jolie, à m aimer, à me sentir à ma place, à être bien, à être qn de bien, avec de belles valeurs, à être (im)patiente, à être moi. Et en 2020, croyez moi, tout ça, ça sera comme le High light, ça va être glowy, sublimé, magnifié et ça va être le feu.

Hello, j’espère que vous allez bien !

Aujourd’hui, un article un peu différent de d’habitude, on va décrypter ensemble les tenues des stars présentes au Met Gala ! Ce gala a lieu tous les ans et a pour but de collecter des fonds au profit du Anna Wintour Costume Center du Metropolitan Museum of Art de New York. Chaque année, cette cérémonie marque le coup d’envoi de l’exposition qui a lieu dans les murs du musée, et c’est cela qui donne le thème des tenues de la soirée. L’année dernière, c’était Heavenly Bodies : Fashion & Catholic imagination où l’on a pu voir Rihanna en papesse, par exemple, et cette année, nous avons le droit à Camp : Fashion Notes ! Mais avant de regarder les tenues plus en détails, vous savez ce que c’est que le camp ?

Revenons un peu sur l’histoire du camp : il est théorisé en 1964, par Susan Sontag dans son essai Notes on Camp. Elle y écrit : “l’essence du Camp est son amour pour tout ce qui n’est pas naturel : l’artifice et l’exagération”. Il représente en quelque sorte un rapport au monde et une sensibilité particulière. Le camp est né dans la communauté LGBT, et il permettait à l’époque (et encore maintenant) de se jouer des conventions de sexualité et de genre, mais également de ne pas se prendre trop au sérieux, surtout dans une société qui n’acceptait pas vraiment cette communauté. Ce concept va donc en quelque sorte à l’encontre des conventions très rigides et masculines d’une société patriarcale. Richard Mémeteau, auteur de Pop culture, réflexions sur les industries du rêve et l’invention des identités a déclaré dans une interview : “J’aime bien l’idée que le camp soit une sensibilité développée par les gays pour survivre dans un espace qui n’est pas le leur. Un espace où l’on doit survivre au mauvais goût, où l’on doit pouvoir transformer le nul en or”. Mais Andrew Bolton, le commissaire de l’exposition, va plus loin en déclarant que “beaucoup ont une idée très définie de ce qu’est le camp – c’est quelque chose de superficiel qui concerne les hommes gay et les travestis- ce n’est pas faux, mais c’est loin de se limiter à ça.” En effet, aujourd’hui il a envahi la pop culture, on le retrouve partout et il est synonyme “d’ironie, d’humour, de parodie, de pastiche, d’artifice, de théâtralité, d’excès, d’extravagance, de nostalgie et d’exagération” comme nous dit Andrew Bolton.

En France, le camp est très peu connu, parfois même au sein de la communauté LGBT, qui l’a vu naitre. C’est un concept, comme le féminisme (même s’il est beaucoup plus connu), qui ne fait pas l’objet de nombreuses études universitaires françaises, qui n’est pas étudié et qui donc ne rentre pas, par la suite, dans la culture populaire. Mais on pourrait tout de même associer certaines personnalités françaises au camp comme Arielle Dombasle, Mylène Farmer, Sheila ou encore Amanda Lear.

Enfin bref, assez bavardé, passons au décryptage de certaines tenues (j’ai quand même dû choisir, je ne pouvais pas montrer les plus de 150 célébrités qui sont passées sur le tapis rose du Met) et à ma sélection top et flop ! Il y en a certains qui ont très bien compris le thème et qui ont “slay” la soirée, et il y a les autres pour qui cela a été un peu plus compliqué… (Et il y a aussi la catégorie “jai fait aucun effort et j’ai enfilé un costume noir ou une robe de bal de promo” huh boring !). Retour en images !

Mention spéciale pour Lady Gaga qui a ouvert le bal, avec une petite mise en scène où elle a changé quatre fois de tenue. Rien que ça ! Elle pouvait se le permettre, c’est elle qui était l’host de la soirée (avec Harry Styles, Serena Williams, Alessandro Michele et bien entendu, Anna Wintour). Avec Gaga, on voit bien qu’au-delà des tenues présentées, le camp est une attitude ! Les tenues sont signées Brandon Maxwell.

Regardez moi ces beautés ! Hamish Bowles était en Maison Margiela et cette tenue est tellement camp, ça fait du bien ! Ezra Miller en Burberry se joue des codes de genre et en plus, il arbore un makeup de dingue. Michael Urie aussi s’amuse en homme et femme avec cette tenue mi-robe mi-smoking signée Christian Siriano. Et enfin, Gigi Hadid en Michael Kors, qui était terriblement belle et dans le thème (ce qui est rare pour les mannequins, en général, vous allez voir par la suite…). Ces quatre tenues ont créé la tendance !

Alors là, on passe au tenue que j’aime bien, mais ce ne sont pas de gros coups de cœur. On commence, dans l’ordre, avec Cara Delevingne, en arc-en-ciel, qui est belle mais un peu basique, tout de même, Katy Perry en Moschino, portant un lustre monumental et là, c’est clair, elle nous sert de l’extravagance ! On passe ensuite à Jared Leto en Gucci (comme d’habitude), avec une tenue sympa (mais pas exceptionnelle), par contre, il avait une réplique de sa propre tête, comme les mannequins au défilé Gucci de la dernière Fashion Week de Milan et ça, ça a fait sensation ! Florence Welch a sorti un manteau avec de magnifiques épaulettes, on adore. Lupita Nyong’o portait du Versace et clairement, le haut du corps était une pure merveille, que ce soit les épaulettes colorées, son maquillage ou sa coiffure, je valide tout. Par contre, pour ce qui est du reste de sa robe, je suis déçu. On passe à Hailee Steinfeld en Viktor & Rolf, Dua Lipa en Versace (avec une coiffure magnifique) et le couple Priyanka Chopra en Dior et Nick Jonas (qui a oublié de faire des efforts). Harry Styles était habillé par Gucci (c’est leur égérie), et personnellement, je m’attendais à mieux, à plus extravagant, même si la tenue est belle. On finit avec Nichapat Suphap dans une robe froufrou colorée, Benedict Cumberbatch et Sophie Hunter en couple qui en impose et Céline Dion, en Oscar de la Renta, iconique comme d’habitude.

Vraiment fan de Laverne Cox en Christian Siriano, en revanche Cardi B en Thom Browne, je suis moins convaincu. J’adore le haut de la tenue, mais le bas fait beaucoup trop matelassé à mon gout, et finalement c’est la tenue qui la porte plutôt que l’inverse. J’aime également Alessandro Michele en Gucci, Ryan Murphy en Christian Siriano (je veux la même cape !), et Kendall et Kylie Jenner en Versace (dans le thème, pour une fois, faut fêter ça !)

Et on finit avec les ratés et les grosses déceptions, en commençant par Ashley Graham en Gucci, Hailey Bieber en Alexander Wang, Bella Hadid en Moschino, et Sara Sampaio en August Getty Atelier. Autant de hors thème que de mannequin, c’est désolant. Vous êtes trop basiques huh. Ensuite, on passe à Zendaya en Tommy Hilfiger : les lumières sous la robe était une bonne idée, mais la robe en elle-même est vraiment affreuse. La mise en scène rattrape un peu, ok elle veut se la jouer Cendrillon mais ça reste très limite. J’ai également été déçu d’Anna Wintour, c’est sa soirée quand même, fais un effort ! Caroline Trentini en Thom Browne, girl c’est pas halloween. Les soeurs Olsen, fidèles à elles-même en Chanel vintage, mais tellement basiques. Richard Madden, en costume noir, n’est qu’un exemple de tous les hommes qui sont venus en smoking noir au Met Gala, sérieusement ? Next ! Kim Kardashian en Mugler (et Kanye West, même si on dirait plus son garde du corps que son mari), la robe est belle mais ça ressemble à ce qu’elle porte d’habitude et ce n’est pas dans le thème. Et sa mère, holala, cette tenue c’est du grand n’importe quoi. Elle porte des tenues plus belles pour l’anniversaire de ses filles, sérieux pourquoi cette tenue ? On finit avec Julianne Moore qui porte une robe Valentino que je trouve affreuse (désolé Julianne) et Miley Cyrus avec une robe Saint Laurent hyper basique, j’étais très déçu. Et on ne va pas parler de Liam Hemsworth, hein, le costume basique noir, vous voyez ce que je veux dire…

°3° genre heu la cyclothymie là d’ses morts, j’ai envie d’en parler donc j’en parle.

TW: Trucs fucked up et tristes / Cyclothymie FULL SUBJECTIVITÉ, je ne suis pas psychiatre ni psychologue, je ne parles que d'expériences personnelles et je suis approximatif de partout (mais si c'est ce dont vous avez besoin à ce moment précis, entrez entrez)! Alors salut, déjà, bon ici, je vais poster beaucoup de trucs assez aléatoires, c'est juste, j’essaie d'écrire pour de vrai, proprement. Mais des fois pour me défouler, je vais proposer des textes. Alors peut-être du politique, peut-être du personnel, peut-être même du poème prosaïque, ne sait-on jamais (à savoir, les vers, ça me fait chier, c'est pour moi très souvent une contrainte stylistique vieillotte d'une époque où l'on ne soupçonnait point ce qu'il était possible de faire avec juste des sons (donc on tricotait avec les mots et on n'y plaçait bien plus que juste des signifiant des signifié et des stylistiques plus élégantes (comme les parenthèses enchâssées (j'adore les parenthèses enchâssées (mais je crois que ma détestation de la rime vient du fait que je sais pas en faire aussi et surtout (détestation irrationnelle bonjour)))))). Mais là, j'ai envie de vous parler de moi, ma petite personne, et plus précisément, des humeurs cycliques.

/!\ Oui, j'ai des humeurs cycliques, c'est à dire que je suis heureux et malheureuse sans trop savoir le pourquoi du comment, et j'ai récemment cramer un gros boulon donc j'ai envie de parler de ça (et prout, pour de vrais textes bien travaillés, ça viendra quand j'aurais fini et que j'en serais aux vérifications orthographiques (j'espère que j'arriverais à le finir néanmoins, ne serait-ce que la version brouillon °----° (d’façons j’le posterais pas là bande de boloss))). DEUWONC. Imagine, tu te lève, et rien ne va. Mais vraiment rien; tout pue la merde, tout le monde est détestable, tu n'aimes rien, rien n'a de goût. Tu manges c'est de la merde, tu parles c'est triste, tu respires tes poumons inhale du kérosène pur: BREF tout le monde est un affreux connard infréquentable, et tout est désagréable. Évidemment, tu n'as pas de raisons d'être mal. Tu n'as pas de raisons hein? Qu'en sais-tu, ton esprit refuse de te foutre la paix pourtant, tu deviens quelqu'un de détestable. Et là, un oiseau passe. Littéralement, un simple truc, un simple rayon de soleil, un simple sourire, juste l'alignement des astres arrive. Et là, tout va bien. Genre tout va beaucoup trop bien. Tu sais, ce voisin détestable, que tu peux pas piffrer et là t'as juste envie de lui chanter des chansons d'amour un peu bizarre comme Hush (version Kula Shaker s'il vous plaît, je suis vieux mais pas suffisamment pour kiffer celle de Billy Joe Royal (en vrai, j'avais vraiment envie de faire en sorte que vous écoutiez ce morceau)). Tu te rapproche, tu sympathises, et tu te rends comptes à ce moment... que ce n'est pas ça, t'as juste envie de lui faire des analogies à des trucs supers darks (du genre tu parles des contradictions du PKK et de pourquoi ça te met trop mal et tu lui chante Hurt (version NIN si t'es junky/loin de claquer; version Cash si t'es vieux et tout rincé)). Bref, je vous présente la cyclothymie. D'ailleurs, si vous souffrez de ce genre de maladies, c'est des maladies, ça se traite, et c'est le taffe d'un psychiatre et/ou d'un psychologue, quiconque d'autre se plaçant dans une autre position qu'aidant (soutien, pote, famille, amours, épaule sur qui s'appuyer un peu), ne saurait être qu'autre chose qu'un irresponsable qui prendrait l'ascendant moral sur vous (et ça vaut aussi si quelqu'un dans votre entourage souffre de ça, ne pas se faire soigner une fois qu'on a reconnu être malade, c'est comme les antivax qui acceptent de faire réapparaître des maladies (bon c'est plus complexe que ça, mais l'esprit critique est votre ami il s'agit de l'affuter quand il est question de santé PUBLIQUE (donc votre santé mentale et votre santé bactériologique aussi parce que vous vivez dans un monde publique (vous n'êtes qu'un agent M. Anderson, bien avant être un individu (team Spinoza maggle (même si ici le lien est ténu et mériterait d'être approfondi mais on va faire dans la philosophie de bas étage (j'habite au troisième by the way))))))).

Alors, alors, que faire quand vous savez que vous êtes dans une phase de down me direz vous... herrrr, vaste question à laquelle je ne saurais que donner des conseils. Déjà, c'est con, mais dites le. Je vous jure que les gens, ils aiment pas quand vous vous comportez comme un connard parce que vous essayez de vous planquer. C'est pas grave. Aussi, c'est con, mais comprenez que votre entourage ne peut pas tout le temps encaisser, donc vous pouvez vous livrer, mais n'en faites pas des turbocaisses (je dis ça, mais hein, je devrais bien me redonner ce conseil de temps à autres °-°). Et surtout, essayez de vous livrer à une activité gratifiante (si vous pouvez évidemment), et je penses notamment aux jeux vidéos avec un poil de challenge (d'ailleurs dans cette thématique, Céleste est assez excellent (même si j'ai trop des moignons pour y jouer je préfère me saigner l'âme sur Slay The Spire)). Voire, si vous avez l'énergie et que vous allez pas trop trop mal mettez vous à un truc qui vous semble constructif, personnellement, c'est ce que je fais en vous écrivant ces lignes ET JE PEUX VOUS DIRE QUE CA FAIT UN BIEN MAH BRUH! Brefle, tentez de ne pas ruminer (même si c'est parfois la seule activité que vous arrivez à faire, personne vous en voudra, juste vous faites pas trop de mal mes petits chats). Aussi, c'est con à dire, mais la musique peut aider, si vous y êtes réceptif, alors je conseil les trucs bien bien vénères (perso du Black Tiger Sex Machine, du Maximum The Hormone, ou du Wampas ça me soulage pas mal (mais là ça dépend des gouts et des besoins)).

Mais du coup, les phases de up anormale? Ben oui, y'a des phases down et des phases up, et il ne s'agit pas de se dire de "OH BEN LOL J'VAIS JUSTE KIFFER". Désolée, mais ça serait bien trop simple si c'était comme ça. Déjà il faut l'identifier. Il y'a t-il une raison particulière à ce sursaut (et je parle bien de sursaut, d'une joie intense et inattendue), et cela vous conduit-il à être inconsidéré dans vos actions, absolument passionné par la moindre connerie? Bon ben voilà, vous êtes dans une phase de up. Alors, déjà, c'est quand même sympa parce que c'est un gros shot de bonheur dans la gueule, mais rappelez vous, si vous montez trop haut, vous descendrez trop bas. Alors l'idée n'est pas de faire de vous un être apathique et mou, non; mais de faire de vous quelqu'un d'heureux et pas juste joyeux puis triste puis joyeux puis triste. Dans ces moments, personnellement, je prends le temps d'évaluer ce qu'il se passe dans mes émotions, et j’essaie de me livrer à une activité assez calme. Regarder les gens passer, parler, lire, me balader gentiment; mais pas juste sautiller partout comme essaierait de me faire faire ma cervelle. Juste, prendre son temps quand notre esprit veut trop nous faire speeder. Le soucis de la cyclothymie, est l'inconstance totale. Être lunatique, incompréhensible pour soi et pour les autres, alors, cherchons la constance, on sait qu'on ne l'atteindra jamais totalement, mais justement, par ça, on peut partir à la recherche de l'ataraxie (ça claque des termes grecs, j't'ai feinté.e t'as vu (ataraxie signifie absence de souffrance (et in extenso c'est la neutralité de l'âme))); mais l'esprit humain est taillé pour qu'on ne la trouve jamais réellement (ainsi nous ne risquons l'apathie que par maladie et par crise, mais pas avec un esprit sain (et dans ce type de cas vous avez besoin d'un psy aussi (s'il vous parle de Freud, c'est pas un psy, c'est un gourou au passage))). Mmmmmmm que dire d'autres... j'espère que vous passez une bonne soirée :D. Et que ce texte vous aura fait autant de bien qu’il m’en a fait.

Tops quantiques 2019 - JEUX VIDÉO

On continue la saison des tops avec une sélection dédiée aux jeux vidéo. Possesseur de toutes les consoles du marché, j’ai eu la chance de me frotter à de nombreux titres parus cette année, particulièrement riche en bonnes surprises, surtout du côté indépendant. En complément à cet article, vous pouvez retrouver mes votes aux Gamekult Awards de 2019.

TOP 15 JEUX VIDÉO 2019

1. Valfaris de Steel Mantis Viscéral, serti d’un gameplay brutal et d’une bande-son metal, Valfaris explose tout sur son passage. Du run and gun comme on n’en fait plus, jouissif à parcourir de bout en bout, parfois difficile mais jamais injuste.

2. Slay the Spire de Mega Crit Games Disponible en bêta l’année dernière, ce chef-d’œuvre est enfin paru en version commerciale. Un tourbillon chronophage, à la fois minimaliste et infini. Un jeu de cartes qui a révolutionné le genre et créé un nouvel archétype, rien que ça.

3. Ape Out de Gabe Cuzzillo Splendide album de jazz jouable. Le temps de deux heures, ce jeu indépendant nous met aux commandes d’un gorille cherchant à s’évader du complexe où il est retenu en captivité. Deux boutons, des réflexes, une musique omniprésente qui souligne l’action : un cocktail épuré et hypnotisant.

4. Cadence of Hyrule de Brace Yourself Games Cette suite de Crypt of the Necrodancer s’invite dans l’univers de The Legend of Zelda, et laisse les éléments les plus frustrants de sa difficulté derrière elle au passage. Une aventure accessible et ingénieuse que les mélodies accompagnent plus qu’elles ne la régissent. Savoureux.

5. Resident Evil 2 – Remake de Capcom Qu’on connaisse l’original ou non, cette relecture d’un classique du survival-horror bénéficie d’atouts de taille : rythme, level design (ce commissariat, bon sang), mise en scène… Même si quelques énigmes balourdes gâchent un peu la fête, ce scénario haletant se traverse avec le souffle court, en humant à tout-va son parfum de blockbuster.

6. Katana Zero de Askiisoft Les jeux d’action peuvent parfois se révéler bien écrits. Katana Zero est de cette bande et allie gameplay ciselé et narration aboutie. L’éditeur Devolver confirme son aura d’orpailleur en proposant, sept ans après Hotline Miami, un nouveau diamant brut(al).

7. The Legend of Zelda : Link’s Awakening de Nintendo Même sans incarner une Madeleine de Proust en mon chef, le second formidable remake de cette année m’a happé bien comme il faut. En fermant un œil face à sa technique aux fraises, un autre pour occulter sa linéarité, on passe une excellente douzaine d’heures en compagnie de ce Link poupon et rêveur.

8. Blasphemous de The Game Kitchen Cet hommage à Castlevania se drape de noirceur mais propose des mécaniques limpides : Metroidvania, plateformes, baston. Il lui manque un peu de finition pour s’ériger au statut de grand jeu, mais constitue une main tendue singulière aux amateurs du genre.

9. Control de Remedy Les lacunes techniques de la version console (Playstation 4) de ce dernier-né des génies de Remedy (Max Payne, Alan Wake…) m’ont empêché de l’apprécier à sa juste valeur. Je retiens son univers hors du commun, un récit audacieux et des affrontements parfois chevaleresques. Son propos, certes cryptique, a le mérite de renouveler le paysage.

10. Baba is you d’Arvi Teikari Un concept détonnant qui révolutionne le langage du jeu vidéo et notre façon de l’appréhender. Mais, une fois passées les premières heures, les énigmes deviennent tellement rugueuses qu’elles réclament un acharnement dantesque. Je garde en revanche l’incipit de l’œuvre au chaud, notamment testée et approuvée en ateliers d’éducation permanente.

11. Luigi’s Mansion 3 de Next Level Games Porté par une production de haute volée, Luigi’s Mansion 3 a l’étoffe d’un authentique blockbuster, d’un film signé Pixar. Mais, une fois parvenu au terme de l’aventure, force est de constater que, manette en main, on y réalise souvent les mêmes actions, quasiment rébarbatives. Les changements de décor relancent l’intérêt, mais certains passages, ancrés dans une linéarité asséchante (le chat spectral, les clés qui balisent la progression…) l’atténuent à leur tour. Sympathique mais rarement mémorable.

12. A plague tale : innocence d’Asobo Studios Cette plongée dans l’atrocité de la peste médiévale en compagnie d’un duo d’orphelins a suscité de nombreuses louanges dans la presse. Si ses ingrédients m’ont laissé un goût de déjà-vu, il faut lui reconnaître son travail d’orfèvre sur le son, l’épaisseur de ses protagonistes et son ambiance pesante. Les nombreuses idées redoutables se révèlent souvent diluées dans des mécaniques trop denses.

13. Pistol Whip de Cloudhead Games Probablement le jeu en réalité virtuelle le plus enthousiasmant de l’année. Montagne russe du tir aux pigeons, Pistol Whip recèle du coffre au-delà de ses attraits forains : bande-son aiguisée, rythme sauvage, maniabilité efficace. On s’y surprend à finir essoufflé tant il concilie observation, réflexes et activité physique.

14. Heave ho ! de Le Cartel Studio Il faut quatre camarades de jeu assis sur un canapé pour qu’Heave ho ! révèle son éclat. Quels fous rires ! De l’escalade en coopération, où les crampes aux mains deviennent intégrées à l’expérience de jeu par vertu thématique : « j’en peux plus, je lâche ! ». Joyeuses engueulades arrosées de mauvaise foi assurées. La meilleure expérience multijoueur de l’année, malgré quelques bugs.

15. Yooka Laylee and the impossible lair de Playtonic Games Cette suite déçoit beaucoup moins que son prédécesseur. Elle n’invente pas grand chose mais contient quelques surprises (relecture de ses niveaux, « hub » intriguant, niveau final disponible dès l’entame…). Surtout, le parti-pris en deux dimensions déploie des environnements moins vides que ceux du premier Yooka Laylee. À conseiller aux amateurs de plateformes en manque.

MENTION SPÉCIALE : Sekiro : Shadows Die Twice de From Software Je ne suis malheureusement pas arrivé au bout de cette aventure impitoyable, mais elle m’a parue bien plus accessible que celles de Dark Souls. Je retiens de ma vingtaine d’heures d’acharné un gameplay sévère mais juste, une envie de persévérer qui prend aux tripes et succède, parfois, à un sentiment de satisfaction intense. Mais c’était trop mauvais pour mes nerfs.

FLOP DE L’ANNÉE : Travis Strikes Again de Grasshopper Manufacture Répétitif, fade, je m’en foutiste, indigent. Suda51 se moque du joueur avec cet épisode de transition uniquement destiné à préparer le terrain pour le troisième volet. Bonne chance, car le voilà bien fangeux.
