Ouroboros is such a bullshit boss.

"I got lucky with Disaster Cycle and now the protagonist is Charmed and all the other enemies are Stone. I win!"

The team I have is perfect, protagonist deals a fuckload of damage with Flame Shot, Tlaloc deals good damage and can Co-op with the protagonist, Long has Luster Candy, and Kingu has Agidyne, War Cry, and Acid Breath and can co-op with Long. In theory, I should beat her no problem, but this random targeting move that inflicts random ailments can just fuck me over right as I'm about to win.

I beat her once already but I forgot to turn off my 4x EXP AR code I used to get to level 46 faster (it's techically less optimal than grinding normally, I was just stuck at level 40 with no good fusions and didn't want to wait) and shot all the way up to level 51.

I had less trouble with White Rider than I did with her, and I ran into White Rider by accident while completely underleveled and unprepared.

I never want to play Strange Journey again, I hate the gameplay so much.

Transistor and Persona 2 anon again, your smt art made me want to check out mainline! I started playing nocturne the other day and its so much fun. Also got a translation of smt1 on my emulator for when I finish nocturne. smt isn't usually the type of series I'd be into but I'm glad your art convinced me to check it out because I'm having a blast!

oh yay!! nocturne is pretty different than much of the mainline series so smt1 may be an adjustment (aside from well, it being an snes game haha!) but i hope you're able to get something out of it! i used a walkthrough because i was a little afraid of getting lost or stuck in such an old game so thats always an option (theres a great walkthrough on gamefaqs!)

smt2 has the best story in the series imo so i hope you like 1 enough to try that one out as well sometime 👀

Strange Journey Redux Playthrough Update: Sorry for not doing it for forever

I finished the Law ending for Devil Survivor and I have gotten back to playing Strange Journey for the past week

Anyway the adventures of Doom Guy Japamerica continues. Honestly after doing the hardest route in Devil Survivor as my first one I need a break. So far red Marie is worst girl. I literally speedran most of the Womb of Grief after the alignment lock to prepare myself to fight Jimenez. Also, do you have to complete the Womb of Grief before the alignment lock to get get the new endings? If so I might just wait till new game plus to do the new endings.

Zelenin on the other hand she is best girl. I wonder what going Law twice in a row first in Devil Survivor and second in Redux says about me😅. Honestly it came down to a popularity contest for me. I didn’t like Jimenez and I liked him even less after he became a demon. Then there’s Gore who has been possessed for most of the game then suddenly talks about saving humanity I’m like ‘what do you mean man? Why would I trust you? You have been doing a horrible job!’. I’m still not done yet I just beat Jimenez.

Doom Guy: I will defeat you with the power of The Lord and this gun I found.
