youre currently sitting down on matts bedroom floor, doing your makeup. you and matt are going out later tonight, but you still have an hour till you leave, so you take your time.

you look into the lit up ring mirror before pulling your eyeliner up to your eye lid. but ultimately pull it away when you see matts reflection in the mirror. the boy peaking his head around the door frame.

"what you doin?" he mumbles when he sees you looking at him. he walks into the room, sitting down next to you. pressing his leg against yours, his body heat immediately radiates off him.

you turn to press a quick kiss to the side of his head with a smile. "im getting ready for tonight."

"can i sit with you? i have nothing to do and i dont need to get ready yet." he states, setting his hand on your knee. rubbing small circles against your skin.

"of course," you giggle, picking your eye liner up to your face again.

matt watches carefully as you apply it over your nude eyeshadow. "thats eye liner, right?" he asks, leaning forward to actually watch you, and not your shined reflection. smiling as the white light washes over your skin, accentuating your unique beauty that he loves so much.

with a slight nod, you finish your eye before responding. "it is," you laugh. picking up your mascara. brushing it cautiously over your eye lashes, desperately trying not to poke your eye.

he drops his head, resting it on your shoulder, eyes focusing on the two of youse reflection again. "and what's that one? i know it but i dont know it."

"mascara," you inform, applying it to your lashes with your mouth hanging slightly open.

matt giggles, "whys your mouth open?"

setting your wand down, you laugh too, "i don't know. it just happens."

you shut off the light, and lean back on your hands. smiling lightly before turning to look at matt. he lifts his head off your shoulder, smiling brightly at you. "hi," he giggles.

pulling back, he unconsciously chases after your lips, frowning when you don't lean back in. "i just did my makeup," you laugh. "i don't need it to be all smudged and have to do it again."

matt rolls his eyes, "what if i want to get your makeup smudged?" he teases, placing his hand again on your jaw.

you giggle, leaning in to kiss his nose. "well that would be mean."

"i could always do it for you," he smiless.

he groans, "that was unfair."

"why?" you giggle, pressing a kiss to matts forehead and then his cheek.

im not sure tbh! i like making horror art (or art thats some mix of horror and cute/colorful) of stuff thats disturbing to me personally or just makes me feel weird. usually im trying to communicate abstract feelings i have in me that are hard to explain or make sense of, by making art that hopefully evokes similar feelings in others.

there are artists whos work do that for me, like samsketchbook's art evokes a lot of this very abstract, enormous feeling of distress that comes from having a body thats so fragile and capable of disease and injury and suffering and death and the helplessness and lack of control of it all, while having to just go on with normal existence despite the constant dread, and thats something ive felt for as long as ive been alive. dappermouth's art was honestly super influential on my own horror art like i think it might have been the biggest inspiration for me to really get into it, the atmosphere of it rly struck me and it evokes this weird sense of nostalgia, like when you see/hear/smell something and it triggers a really powerful feeling of dread or sadness but you cant remember the memory its associated with.

the unidentifiable animal art is primarily inspired by early ai images. there are other influences too, like Ivan Seal and Leyland Kirby/The Caretaker, but ai images are def what got me really into that kind of horror. pretty sure this image was what first introduced me to ai images lol

things being almost recognizable but not really is such an interesting unsettling feeling (and ik im not the only one who feels like that with how popular everywhere at the end of time is) i think its a general fear of losing your mind, or just uncanny valley. its very dream-like.

I think mostly i make art to make other people feel what i feel, and that includes the negative stuff.

PKMN ScarVio DLC AU ~ Possessed!Kieran

Just finished the page for my contribution to the good ol’ Toxic Chain theory :OOO

I recently finished the Teal Mask and finishing up the Indigo Disk DLC and while i really did like the fact that Kieran’s actions were all his own and makes him a much more realistic/relatable character, I am feeling a little robbed we didn't get a possessed!kieran + i really did not like the direction they took w/ Mochi Mayhem. I felt like it was WAAAY too silly/comedic for my tastes (if you liked it more power to you tho!), and wish we had more lore/backstory and involvement of Pecharunt and the Loyal 3 respectivally.

so i wanted to try killing two birds with one stone and try to mash ID and MM together somewhat! So heres some sketches and concept stuff ft. My PKMN!Violet sona. And also make this AU ANGSTY AS FUCK-

im not a comedy/crack/silly person when it comes to stories involving manipulation/mind control type of stuff because i just get second hand embarressment for those under doing wierd stuff while not aware so if your looking for a “silly haha!” AU with this type of concept ive got bad news for ya… this AU aint gonna be for you-

Starting off… my design for when Kieran is fully possessed by Pecharunt!

I still really liked the fact that Kieran was like. FULLY aware and in his own mind/body during ID; so i want to keep that in this AU too - for the most part.

id like to think that once making a deal with Pecharunt and offering himself to it in order to become stronger, the little peach would slowly feed him mochi that would “numb the pain and guilt if he ever feels doubtful.” At the time of Pecharunt’s debut to the start of ID, pecharunt is extremely weak and thus, its influence isnt as effective or strong. However, when we meet Kieran again, he’s definately beginning to change. throughout the story, we see Kieran’s spiraling descent into madness as he becomes more intimidating and cynical.

i dont have a specific spot where hed have this outfit change, but ill figure it out lol.

However, i def think it would be a bit after his panic attack/mental break down when we defeat him. Since at this point he couldnt uphold his end of the deal with Pecharunt, it has no choice: he offered his body and mind to it to get stronger, but he couldnt keep it up. So now, he has to pay the price.

(This would be right after the Ex-Champ bit - fuck you Draydon)

however, instead of telling himself to get stronger like in canon… he mumbles something indescernable and unintelligable… and then he starts… laughing?

“K-Kieran…?”

“Uh… yo, earth to ex-champion… you doin’ alright-?”

Suddenly… he glares at us… no. He glares at you, tears streaming down his face but an animalistic and crazily wide smile is plastered on his face as he stumbles back up, hugging himself while letting out what one would think is the most maniacal, despairing, crazy cackling laughter one could hear.

That's when you see it - his eyes, formally a light yellow, now a bright yet darkly sinister shade of violet-magenta. The scrunchie he was wearing began growing two strings of toxic chains that waved around like tentacles, and lifted him up in the air like stilts, purple smoke filling the area.

what was happening… whats happened to Kieran.

i want pecharunt to have a larger role so here they are! After returning the teal mask to me and carmine and running off, he stumbles upon an injured and weak Pecharunt, and secretly nurses it back to health. Behind everyone’s backs the two spark a friendship/partnership!

i like to think pecharunt has good intentions and did genuinely want to help kieran get stronger, but i like to think that the toxins it gave to Kieran not only began to mess with Kieran’s mind, but with Pecharunt’s too.

how exactly? No idea just yet lol- ill figure that out later on down the line lol. Along with the loyal 3’s roles in the story as well.

i like to think that when this story and AU respectively take place, Kieran is 14 while im 16 turning 17 that fall in Teal Mask (Carmine being 18 or 19?), then in Indigo Disc Kieran is 16, im 18, and Carmine is 19/20. So me and kieran are 2 years apart, while me and Carmine are 1-2 years apart.

Its mostly because id like to think me and kieran’s dynamic is similar to a close friend i have irl and wanted to write it as such while retaining the canon story too. If that makes sense lol.

Ok but Wukong claims MK as Yubei's honorary/sworn older brother. Macaque who was in the room suddenly feels a cold swear as he Realized Wukong Sees MK As His Kid. His Clcub, who Macaque had chased fown and hunted like an animal in an effort to keep LBD's attention off of Wukong himself.

Macaque has that revelation loooong before Yuebei is born.

You see...

When Macaque was still processing that Wukong (his former mate) had been pregnant with the Egg for many many years - he had a brief brain-fart during "Shadow Play" and at during his panic he asks;

Macaque: "Is it my kid!? Wait..." *glares at MK really hard* "Are you my kid???" MK: "Wut." Macaque: "No, no, wait, thats dumb, it's the same baby now as back then. Sorry bud, but I am totally freaking out right now." MK: "Because you spent the last couple hundred years being a deadbeat dad?" Macaque, grabs MK by the shoulders: "YES!!"

The rest of the MKrew escape the Shadow Lantern simply because Mac was panicking so hard he dropped it. Even being super mad at him, they stay until he stops hyperventillating. In Mac's defense, he's not sure how long normal Stone Monkey pregnancies should be.

Even once the realisation kicks in that the "Egg" is a Stone Egg formed from Wukong being encased in the mountain without resources - Macaque has a second "crap Im dad" realisation when he realises that him abandoning/cutting-off Wukong back then is what triggered the process. He still wants to take responsibility for the Egg as it's indirect creator.

And ofc during S3, Macaque notices how protective/paternal Wukong is with MK and starts to realise;

MK might not be Macaque's kid, but Wukong certainly considers MK to be *his* kid.

Macaque has tricked, fought, and psychologically tormented said kid in his goal to either hurt Wukong or extract information.

Macaque is now being forced to capture said kid and/or Wukong for LBD less he suffers a fate worse than death. And while Macaque would hate to do either, he can't stand the thought of handing Wukong over. So MK is his primary target throughout S3, even if Mac tries his best to "soften the blow" if it were when he tries capturing him.

MK is super excited to meet the Egg when it's finally born, and is acting in a manner typical of an older monkey cub wanting to care for their younger sibling. It's too fricking cute and-

Well crap, now Mac doesn't want to turn the kid over. Mostly cus doing so will def hurt Wukong and make his King somehow hate Mac even more than he does now.

Maybe if they do get the Samadhi Fire, him and Wukong might- Macaque, begings violently batting away his talkative shadow clones: "NOPE! Get the heck out of here with that!! I'm just getting the Fire to be free of LBD's influence!"

And once Yuebei is finally born...

Wukong, talking to the baby: "Bao bei [treasure], this is your big brother, MK. Well, honorary big brother, but you get what I mean." MK, holding Yuebei: *is so happy he can't form words + is happy-crying* Macaque: *trying his best not to ask MK "hey, wanna be our son?", cus Mk has his adoptive dads + Mac thinks the kid hates him anyway* "Hah. Crybaby." MK, still crying: "Shut up. You cried when you saw her for the first time." Macaque, trying his best not happy-cry again: "She looks like me! Of course I'd cry - such a curse to place upon a innocent soul!" Wukong: *sighs fondly at the back-and-forth*

Mac's gut reaction is to insult others/himself when he feels emotionally vulnerable, and MK knows how to flip it around.

It very much becomes a "Dad treating his eldest son vs younger daughter" situation, especially if Bai He is thrown into the mix. Mac will 100% spoil his little princesses, but MK...

MK can handle it. He's Wukong's heir. He's ok with Mac only really being soft on him when no one else is around. Secretly Mac's kinda jealous of the dad-attention Pigsy, Wukong, and even Tang get from the kidm even though in his heart he knows it's unlikely MK will ever see Mac as a father figure.

I didn't expect penguin sledding but a youtuber i follow says they replaced it with something that had the same spirit of it.. im hoping maybe they'll just go.. acutal sledding ? that was my original thought .. tho its just a guess.. they say gordon has the spirit of aang and brings that playful hope to those around so thats.. good. i am disappointed that katara wont talk aang down though if someone is to replace her i want it to be sokka, they better have earned whoever does it. katara hugging aang so tight is just so adorable to me so thats prob the only thing im mad about so far. bec it establishes the family connection of the trio. so thats abummer. its prob the only time ive felt bummed so far.. its not gonna ruin it for me but its def a bummer

i don’t see any issues with CGI penguin-sledding; but i agree that there can be other ways to capture this spirit (and gordon does, from what I’ve seen!)

it’s not just the issue of katara pulling aang out of the avatar state (though that will be a dynamic in their bond i will really miss).. it’s that aang sort of… snaps himself out over a particular memory? and the thing about aang is that he doesn’t have good control over the avatar state, so that’s why he needs these external influences - katara and/or sokka - to calm him down.

if memories can trigger aang out of the avatar state; if sokka is already an established warrior confident with his masculinity; if katara is devoid of her righteous anger and is instead replaced with sadness, then where do we get these character arcs? avatar the last airbender is beloved because these characters start off as insecure, misguided children with flaws that are forced to grow up and become child soldiers. without the very obvious nature of those flaws, how do we expand and develop on their individual character arcs?

random Jamie questions! what genre(s) do they write in? :0 or like, what's their favorite genres? do they have favorite tropes to write, or tropes they're particularly known for? do they ever write (in one way or another) about their. uhhhh. love life? or do they ever incorporate things that have happened to them in the Neath into their stories?

my main Rowen is also an author and they're like, a sell-out, they write about whatever trends and in whatever genres are popular month-to-month. they wouldn't dare publish any of their work that's too personal to their actual life and feelings (Rowen would rather die than risk being Seen and Known lol). so I'm interested in what other author characters write about! :)

Well... typicallly...

Jamie is most often a gothic romance writer, or just gothic or romance in general, though they will often dive into adventure stories, or fairytale like stories too. They've writen a lot of poetry in the past too.

But the romance is def a major theme - in part their way of exploring the concept of 'romance' from their unknowing aro-spec perspective - which is a bit of A Thing, given that 'respectable' folks don't usually publically speak on ready anything potentially raunchy.

They tend to lean into explorations of power dynamics, fear, and mystery wrapped all into together. Something compelling, like a train crash you just can't look away from. (...similar, in part, to the things im writing about with them lmao). they like to explore on a thematic level of what its like to get lost - in a place, in a person, in what it means to be yourself.

I def think theres some bleed through between their experiences and their writing. Especially if they;ve been particularly annoyed by someone - you may find an annoying antagonists in their next short story with oftly familiar description. Nothing that could ever be directly proven, mind you, but most certainly some potential influences...

...and, well. I don't think they write about Princesses and Knights as much anymore. Some types of fairytales just no longer work for them, and the stories they would want to tell would be far too personal, and would never make it past the censors anyways.

mmmm that tracks! While I wouldnt call Jamie a sellout specifically, they are absolutely molded by the publics expectations, and often dont write neccesarily what they want to write. And thats before getting into the fact that the ministry of public decency has a particular bone to pick with Jamie, oof. Getting their stuff published at all was a struggle for a bit.

And their role as poet laureate came with expectations and tasks as well, along with dragging them further into the demands of high society. So suffice to say, theres a significant heavy hand from various sources influencing what Jamie actually gets around to writing.
