" 'Now does this have use? Does this matter?' NO! But I think there's numbers in it and therefore should be looked into. Do I know what to do with the numbers and what they mean? #sometimes i just like looking at numbers #there was one day years ago i spent a good chunk of time #with some of my favorite youtuber/asmr youtuber specifically #and comparing theyre most popular videos #how many views they had how long ago they were published how many over a million view videos they had #not writing a single thing down but looking at like four or five different pages occasionally thinking 'thats so interesting' #and also 'i think they/that video deserve better' lmao #sometimes i wish id stayed in that research and stats class i had in college #but i also still feel very confident that i made the right choice in doing so as i felt a little too out of my depth #that i needed something between #also i was incredibly intimidated by the overall research project we had which required us to form groups day one with no knowledge of #each other which put at least my group on really shakey feeling and two of the three of us and actually i think the third as well all #dropped or co sidered dropping the class #i told them i was considering it and one group member said she already had which would have put our group down from the others and so i #also dropped it oops #hope our other member survived either in the class or out of it #but at lwast i spoke up before i did it the other gave no warning she dropped it #dont mind me #tag rambles #ive been sitting in bed because i dont actually want to be awake #so ive been on my phone listening to nick and occasionally the dog snore #pretending somehow im still sleeping or at the least relaxing despite already having my morning cup of coffee and having to get out of bed #to pee multiple times #its my dad off and if i cant actually slewp in i at least want to pretend i did dammit

#s.txt #s.poem #mom tag #poetry #okay to reblog #it's officially been over a year since the last time i saw my mom. #her skin was translucent paper thin and she looked so fragile in tht hospital bed but she was supposed to be getting better #and she did. for about a month. #she went back into the hospital 3 days after my birthday. #she stayed there for like 2 weeks and then died about a week after she checked herself out. #the last time she ever texted me was on my birthday. i waited two days to text back. and i never heard back from her. #the next time i saw her she was a pile of grey ashes in a plastic urn. she sits on my shelf now. i haven't gotten her a new urn yet. #i try not to feel guilty. there wasn't much i could do from a thousand miles away #but i still feel the guilt every day itching under my skin and screaming at me in my mind that i should have done better #that i should have been there for her #her phone number has since been given to someone else. i deactivated her facebook account. i cleaned out her apartment & threw away almost #all of her belongings. #i took photo albums. i took some jewelry - including the ring she wore as she was cremated. it survived the fire. the funeral home put it #in the urn with her ashes. i wear it sometimes just to feel like there's still a part of her with me. #but she's gone and i don't believe in an afterlife and neither did she #there's some comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain that she is no longer suffering #but i still sit here and i think of all the things i never got to tell her and the new things i want to tell her every single day #i never got to come out to her. not really. i never got to tell her that i understood what she went thru with my dad because i lived it too #anyways. sorry for going off in the tags. i'm okay i promise. just feeling a lot of feelings right now.

so there’s a boy who recently moved up into my 2 year old class at work and since we all combine in the afternoons I had spent time with him. And he’s extremely sweet and also mainly nonverbal (although he’s starting to find more and more words!). And I tend to spend a bit more time interacting with the kids who seem to need a bit more help/attention. And so Alex is one of my buddies. One of (if not his actual first) his first words was “puppy” which he said to me while we were doing a puzzle together (before he moved up). He also said this when there wasn’t another adult in the room so NO ONE BELIEVED ME. When he smiles he looks a little like a frog because he smiles like :] and when I’m with my older class and I see my littles I blow them kisses and Alex is the only one that blows them back and then he smiles all shy
