SO. setting i imagine is similar to typical vat7k BUT a little darker and more dystopian. think steampunk industrial stuff... which i know hugo's kingdom is already like lol but just imagine it like. in a lot more places. this is basically a "steampunk" au too

robots are VERY common. invented by a group of scientists with the main ones being donella and ulla

robots are used as service etc etc. theyre not sentient at all so this isnt like. some unethical practice

but ulla and donella are OBSESSED with making them more and more advanced, theyre besties and all that. but ulla is Particularly obsessed with making the Perfect Robot

we know that ulla is kind of messed up in the head. in this au she kind of messes way too much with robot sentience WHILE ALSO getting obsessed with the eternal library. same stuff happens eventually. donella and ulla fight about the eternal library etc etc

BUT ALSO... ulla is working on her Magnum Opus. a son for her and her husband, who she is making to be the perfect robot. quirin is unaware of the shit shes doing and fully trusts her and supports this passion project

and well! she does make the first Sentient Robot. with the use of science and Magical Knowledge she was able to basically give life force through magical means into the robot. The robot of course she named varian. and not only is he sentient, but he looks completely human

she did some messed up stuff tho! again! she's programmed him with fake memories so he thinks he has lived a life fully as a human. he's also programmed to not notice things like the small seams on his body and all that. like his code just immediately disregards all that

anywaysss. after ulla disappears, quirin is dedicated to taking care of varian. he figures it's best to follow with ulla's choice of making sure varian doesnt know hes a robot

MEANWHILE ! because of the schism between ulla and donella, there was some wack shit that happened. namely robots going completely crazy. now all robots are Murder Robots. so the world is pretty Dystopian at the moment

Varian decides he wants to go out and find the source of what made the robots go crazy. bc this sucks lol. like everyone is Just Miserable

so he meets his friends. nuru, yong, hugo!

LETS TALK ABOUT HUGO

hugo works for donella. hugo also absolutely HATES robots. the robots have been messing shit up since he was a kiddo

he's kind of like a robot hunter. harvesting them for parts as well as getting rid of them bc theyre dangerous. usually donella directs him to different missions. and now shes telling him to join this guy (varian) bc she wants the secrets that ulla had hidden and varian is sure as hell after them

sooooo at one point. varian gets hurt maybe, or interacts with something that breaks the code in him or whatever. the code that stops him from noticing his robotic qualities. i think he probably would get super injured and like. he and all his friends stare in shock and horror as some sort of gash or sparks or whatever show a metallic inside

they all find out he's a robot together weeeee. no one is having a good time

so he's living with existential crisis. he's away from his dad so he cant travel all the way back to be like hey What The Fuck. AND he's still dedicated to his goal. but now he's just. confused, scared, and unsure if he's worthy of his humanity that he thought he had

they all try to work with this new discovery (which i think would happen earlier on rather than way later). hugo especially is like. having a crisis. bc he's always hated robots and for good reason. but varian... varian is SO human. he thinks, he feels, he cares, etc. he's more Human than a lot of the Flesh and Blood people he's been around

so you know, hugo starts to fall in love with him anyway. lots of excellent scenes of him helping varian with his mechanics, etc

and of course varian starts falling in love with him too, but is dealing with a lot of confusion as well. like is he even real, doesnt hugo deserve to be loved by a Human and not a Robot, etc etc

well i guess it starts with vauren (not a werewolf) who, in his usual habit of using and discarding people, goads a young man into sorcery that ultimately ends in lycanthropy. that young man then ends up traumatizing my boy jonthan by eviscerating his father in front of him and chewing on his arm. vauren "rescues" jonthan and keeps him around for a while before moving on to his next victim: a normie named tomas.

jonthan is fortunately able to develop a relatively stable lifestyle as a hunter/trapper over the next several years using what his father had taught him as a kid. plus, salvaging what he can from the wolf's indiscriminate killing sprees helps him cope.

on one of his trips into town, normie tomas finds him and effectively hires him to kidnap vauren's new favorite, a weird fae-child who we'll call taleigh bc i haven't come up w a better name since first draft.

taleigh is relatively easily persuaded bc she doesn't really like vauren on account of she knows it was him who killed her family to get her. so the "kidnapping" is successful but now vauren is Big Mad bc taleigh was vital to his current scheme.

(that said tho, taleigh is still a feral goblin child and she causes several problems. some of them even on purpose.) (currently toying w the idea of her having some minor shapeshifting ability that's limited to her face/head so she can change the shape of her ears, pupils, nose, etc.)

ANYWAY that's the main setup and there are some other supporting characters that include:

old man hale, an elderly healer who specializes in werewolves and werewolf-adjacent maladies, and his granddaughter (maybe), ane, who works as his assistant and is also a wolven.

the wolven pack

lae, a willow-wight who's been surreptitiously working against vauren from within his camp ever since he discarded her. (tho she is limited by an oath she swore back when she trusted him)

as for art, sadly i don't have much. just a couple (old) (OLD) pictures of ane tbh. i would love to draw vauren, but he's canonically the prettiest man you've ever seen, and my art skill isn't up to that yet. (I'VE TRIED :') )

anyway, ane's on the left in the left-most pic. (i had a short story that involved her origin that i've been trying to rewrite for ages)

in my head, the fic would kinda go like this. mary's upbringing would be the same as in canon, so her family dies in an accident and shes raised by her religious grandma. her grandma passes when shes 19 and from then on shes very alone. and in the crossover she would like work as a waitress in the small town josiah frequents, in a diner he frequents. and they meet often and they kinda fancy each other and mary is religious like josiah and they talk abt jesus sometimes and also josiah eventually takes her out. and then josiah is just like okay that was enough courting i am now taking her By Force. so he kidnaps her on their next date. and then mary is just forced to be a nice stay at home wife and put up with josiah's human pets and cook and clean and go to church with him. they have a backyard wedding in front of god only because thats the only guy that matters anyway. mary is like fucking terrified all the time forever but also she has good moments with josiah and she grows to care for him deeply... im sorry i rambled so much but like yea this lives in my head rent fucking free

Genuinely asking but what are your thoughts on making manga/comic series with 3D renderings like using MMD. I've seen LOTS of people make comic series with MMD in the past. I originated from deviantART where it was a big thing to make them. It wasn't always fan-comics either sometimes it was of people's OCs and such. The only thing is, you can't charge for it. Especially if you're making Genshin content because they specifically state you cannot earn profit from using their models (I see a lot of people ignoring this rule though sadly esp when it comes to R18+ stuff). Unless you specifically make everything from scratch in yourself for your comics, charging at all for it isn't gonna fly. Shit is tricky tbh when it comes to monetizing anything MMD related.

It's really cool to think I've inspired someone tho 👉👈 I'm not quite sure what advice I could give on the actual MAKING process. It's kinda been a TON of trial and error LMAO

uhhhh I render at 1920x1080 for each panel and I kinda just render anything and everything I think that I might need for extra ✨flare✨. I get hella lazy with posing in comics tho 💀 so as long as it looks right from the angle that I'm rendering from, it's good enough for me. ALSO a good pack of hand poses to use or alter to how u want is also hella handy because I'd lose my mind real quick if I had to pose a fist or something close to it from an open hand all the time. The most tedious part for me is the editing. It makes me want to die. The work it takes to edit my comics is about as much work as it takes to animate if not longer to me tbh so I don't think it's any less valid of a medium than animating. OH WHICH I DO IN PHOTOSHOP LMAO I FORGOT

Anyways I’m playing Hyrule warriors again and I wanna write some stuff about the great fairy trapping him in a bottle. Also I figured even tho nobody blames him for Cia starting the war, I imagine at least SOMEONE hated him, or someone was going to surrender him to Cia to hopefully put an end to everything (which won’t work, but it’s fun to play with) :3

And also HW Zelink is so… aaaaaa. I know many people don’t like the power dynamic and I don’t like it either so I really like the idea that Zelda doesn’t practice her authority on Link. She doesn’t treat him like a soldier she commands or a hero who needs to do something, but a friend. When he’s struggling she just cares about him and tries to help him, not trying to pry or anything. I friggin love them
