Episode 3 ~ Secrets of the Sea

Narrator: While Nobu was off trying to build his own legacy and while Kyoko was in Sulani enjoying the tropical life their parents were still in Komorebi, appreciating the later stages of life.

Now was the time where they could enjoy the fruits of their labor. Myitzu and Souma were fortunate to make a lot of simoleons through simoleons, enough where they could afford a private gym, a gym that Mymy hadn’t used as much as she probably should have.

Recently they were spending a lot more time in it together. Myitzu just wanted to make sure she stayed in shape, keep the health of her heart a good thing while Souma, well, she thought he was doing it because he wanted to maintain his muscular frame but she had learned there was another reason for him hitting the weights.

“So you are really going to get back into this?” She asked, frustration creeping in her voice.

“Yeah, I think the people want it.”

“The ‘people’ don’t care about your well being,” was her immediate reply. The subject? Souma was interested in working again, he wanted one last run of being a porn actor. They had both retired since they had made enough simoleons to do so and now they ran a website that provided them a more than generous income so why do it?

“It could be fun, that helps my well being I think?”

She groaned, speeding up the treadmill so that she wouldn’t argue with him for now. All she could think is that he wanted to do this just for sex. She joked last time that she simply wasn’t enough because she thought he wasn’t serious about jumping out of retirement and back between the legs of...well, you know, but it seemed he was very serious.

“I just don’t see the point and I’m not sure I agree with it,” she decided to let him know, hopefully he would change his mind about this whole thing.

I love hearing about self ships so don't hold back!

I have so so many but my biggest brainrot lately has been Tobirama (from Naruto) and we met at work. (TBH the series Darte un Beso on my AO3 is just one big selfship with an OC that's less traumatized than me).

Tobirama and I met at work. He's a scientist like me, though he's quite a bit above me. Even so he acknowledges the brains I have and the creativity that comes with it. I ran into him and picked his brain. Later on I just kept coming back to bounce ideas off of him. Then I flirted my way into his heart while being forward af about it.

Ahhhh I'm not sure i'm the best to ask about pregnancy HCs, but I do have thoughts on how some of the Hakuouki boys would do babysitting with you! Hope that's an okay substitution 😘

🖤Amagiri- 100% in control. Patient, practiced, kind, he can help babysit kids of any age and will be able to keep conversation with you throughout the intermingling of kids conversations and questions! You'll happily be chatting about what you want for the future while playing your third round of 'Go Fish' with the kids, get asked "Do Caterpillars poop?", and Amagiri will be able to respond eloquently and correctly (yes, a lot, in pellet form much like a small rodent), and then smoothly continue your conversation whether it be "I do hope any future children of ours could inherit my well-defined cheekbones" or "I'm excited to see you progress in your career, I'll make sure to keep dinner warm on the table during your late nights". <3

❤️Sano- He's enjoys being around kids, even if he isn't "the best" at knowing what to do with him. Still, your favorite "date", if you could call it that, was babysitting twin 3 year olds with him. Watching him trying to hide that tall and lanky (begrudgingly handsome) frame behind a kid's sized chair for hide and seek, smiling on and cheering against him as they chased him in circles around the backyard for hours, and hearing the different inflections in his voice for different characters when the four of you snuggled up for their bedtime stories, all created a lasting memory of fun and laughter in your heart!

💚Souma- Fucking it up in the least damaging and hilarious way, which all in all means he does a pretty good job as your co-babysitter, so long as you're there to help clean up the mess. School age kids LOVE him, but they also love to tease and torture him. The kids you babysit together, ages 5 &7, know damn well how to get what they want out of him and con him into playing what they want to play. Homework? No, thank you! It's actually way past the time you were meant to show up for your haircut Kazue! Where do you think you're going?? Sit in this chair! Unfortunately for him, this will not have been the first time one of the kids have snuck a real pair of scissors into the mix and given him an "asymmetrical bob" before...

🤍Kazama- Might surprise some of you with this, but read it through before disagreeing with me! Kazama is fantastic with babies. Would he admit it? Absolutely not. But they love to coo and laugh at his various facial expressions (even his 'serious' ones) as he holds them, and something about his temperament is a true baby-sleep-whisperer to them. He won't forget to slide in comments about how, "It's cute, but ours would be cuter", and reminding you that you ARE betrothed to him and this could be your future soon enough. The cutest part? When you go to put down the baby for a nap, Kazama takes them from you and, a little degradingly, tells you that he "can do it better, you can just take a rest". The walls aren't that thick, so you can hear him lowly singing a lullaby that you'd never heard before to the baby in the rocking chair next door, and you snuggle up on the couch with a cup of warm cocoa daydreaming about your future together <3

-Haruka's Harada Route-

"Okay, he was very close last time. Let's try again." Haruka knelt down with Shigeru in her arms.

Haruka helped Shigeru stand up, moved her hands away from him so he stood on his own. Heisuke was a little away and called out to him. "Shigeru! This way!" He said.

Shigeru wobbled a bit but managed to take a few steps towards Heisuke, a look of determination on his tiny face. Haruka watched as her son attempted his first steps. She quickly moved to support him, just in case he lost balance.

"He's doing it, Heisuke!" Haruka exclaimed with a mixture of excitement and joy.

"Come on, little prince! You got it! Come to Uncle Heisuke!" Heisuke was smiling as he held his arms out, kneeling down. Shigeru took a few more unsteady steps, reaching towards Heisuke. The little boy stumbled but managed to make it into Heisuke's waiting embrace.

"He did it! Our little guy did it!" Heisuke chuckled, lifting Shigeru in the air, getting laughter out of the boy. Haruka just gave a small smile looking at the two interact like that.

Heisuke then lifted up Shigeru with him as he stood up.

Shigeru just laughed as he was lifted up. "Heihei!" Shigeru said.

Haruka and Heisuke's eyes widen. "What you say, Shigeru..?" Heisuke asked.

Shigeru just smiled. "Heihei!"

Heisuke's eyes sparkled for a moment and then his face lit up entirely. "I'm his first word! Me! Not Sano! And not even Ka-san! Ahh!" Shigeru's laughter grew louder at Heisuke's excitement. "Did you hear that, Ka-san? He said 'Heihei'! That's me!"

Haruka laughed, enjoying Heisuke's joy. "Looks like you've made a special connection with him, Heisuke."

Heisuke grinned proudly. "Yep, Uncle Heisuke is unforgettable!" He then went and handed Shigeru back over to Haruka. "Maybe I'm his favorite Uncle!"

"Hmm..Maybe you're right, Heisuke." Haruka smiled. "You do help out a lot with him after all."

"I mean, there aren't a lot of babies around here. And he's pretty cute for one too."

Then they heard a commotion and running. Tetsunosuke was running away from a pig that was chasing him. Nomura and Souma were trying to catch the pig. Haruka and Heisuke watched on as they did.

"Please stop it! Nomura-senpai! Souma-senpai!" Tetsunosuke yelled.

"We're trying!" Nomura yelled

"Just hang on, Tetsunosuke-kun!" Souma shouted.

Haruka and Heisuke looked at each other. "Isn't that the third time since they started?" Haruka asked.

Heisuke nodded. " Yup."

"Heisuke…"

"Come on, they're pages. They should get in some trouble, Ka-san." Heisuke said.

"So you don't want to be a good uncle for Shigeru then?" Haruka pointed at her young son.

"…" Heisuke stared at Haruka for a second before looking at Shigeru. "Man…Fine." Heisuke then got a confident look on his face. "Souma! Nomura! Tetsu! Help is on the way!" He then ran off to help the new pages.

Haruka chuckled as she watched Heisuke rush to the aid of the struggling pages. "Well, Shigeru, looks like your uncle Heisuke is quite the hero today."

Shigeru, in Haruka's arms, seemed more interested in watching the commotion than offering any commentary. Haruka sighed contentedly, enjoying the lively atmosphere of the Shinsengumi headquarters.

Hiiiiiiii Carleeee!!!! Thank you so mf much for the ask! I’m actually so excited to answer this and am so glad you brought the idea to my attention. I’m gonna think of outfits but also treat this like it’s a Hakuouki Sanrio collab- I also wanted to try to use different characters from the ones we usually see with Sanrio collabs.

Here’s the ideas below:

Chizuru (and consequently Kaoru): Sugarbunnies- Shirousa and Kurousa. They are twins and Kaoru would be Shirousa, the older twin, while Chizuru would be Kurousa, the younger one.

I would dress Chizuru in an oversized, brown sherpa fabric sweaters with pastel pink leggings. The hood of the sweater would have floppy rabbit ears with pink detailing. They’d both wear pink converses. Kaoru would wear a similar outfits but the sweater being white with darker pink accents. I love Sugarbunnies, they’re so cute and also Kiki and Lala aren’t the only pair of twins from Sanrio!!

Hijikata: I wanted to pick a character that isn’t used much but I think Kuromi would be really cute! He’d probably refuse to wear anything too cutesy but might let me put him in a purple button up shirt. He’d just wear white pants but I’ll be damned if he doesn’t wear a Kuromi headband!! Specifically, I’d have him dress like the purple variant of her. She’s a little mischievous so I think he’s be on her ass lmao.

Okita: Masyumaro! Souji HAD to get a cat character! I think he’d wear white pants with a white, slightly larger, button up shirt. One top of the button up, would be a large, orange sweater vest. To emulate his bow, he’d would wear shoes of the same color. Ofc he’s in cat ears. You’ll find I’ll add animal ears to any given outfit in this.

Saitou: Hangyodon!! I desperately want more merch of this character and of Saitou! I would put him in a onsie of him too- it’d be really cute haha. Like Saitou, he doesn’t express a lot of emotion. Like Saitou, he’s still super cute. :)

Harada: Hanamaruobake!!! Omg! It’s be so so cute! He’s a little white ghost who treasures his giant red, pencil. He matches Sano’s color pallet perfectly and even has something that resembles his weapon. Hanamaruobake is shy but he really likes superheroes and loves encouraging his friends. He and Sano have the latter in common! I also think he’d think Sano was cool! Anyways, I’d dress him in themed t-shirt of him! He might wear red pants with it but I’d mostly want to give him a headband with a cherry on it to look like Hanamaruobake’s.

Heisuke: Usahana!!! Omg it’d be so cute and it’s not just ‘cause she and Heisuke are my favorites. She is so special to me! Her story is that she wanted to go play on a rainbow by a lighthouse but kept stopping to help her friends. After doing this, she saw all of her limbs were a different color of the rainbow! Her favorite season is summer and she loves sunflowers and orange sherbert. I’d throw him in a hoodie that matches her colors- it’s kind of look like one of those color block hoodies. I’d probably put him in normal jeans and yellow socks. As for the bunny ears, he’d DEF have a headband of them. I’d throw the orange flower in his hair just to be silly.

Shinpachi: Kobuta no Pippo!! Mostly because of his green shirt haha! I think I could convince Shin to wear a onsie of this character- mostly if I give him food. Pippo loves surprises, games, and playing with his friends. This reminds me a little of him haha.

Yamazaki: Chococat!!! He’s probably wear a black sweater and black pants and cat ears. I wanna put a blue collar on him like how the mascot has but that felt…odd…so he’ll wear a blue belt. Chococat’s whiskers work almost like antennas and is often the first to know information- I thought because Yamazaki gathers info, it’d be a cute match.

Souma: Little Forest Fellow!!! I’d put him in a matching hat to the characters and a big brown and white sweater!!! He’d also have a charm of the little guy somewhere. I think he’s think the little dude is so so cute.

Iba: Cogimyun! He’s think she’s so cute! She a flour fairy that wants to be a rice all! She crumbles into a pile of powder when she’s upset. He would be very protective of her!!! I don’t exactly know how I’d style him- I think I’d put him in matching headpieces to hers. I think I’d just have him in a white shirt.

Sakamoto: Chibimaru! He’s a cute lil puppy. Put that man in puppy ears rn!!! I think he’d just wear a brown jacket and a shirt themed to the character! He’d also wear normal pants.

Kazama: Lloromannic! I was going to choose them for Chizuru and Kaoru, but I think I’d just give Kazama both of them. They are also demons. He’s probably wear black to match them and a top hat with wings to look like Cherry, the pink one!! He’d also have horns like Berry, the black one. Now that I think about it more, it would have been really cute to use them for the oni twins but it’s okay.

Personal Hakuoki Translation/Collection Masterpost

I mainly post translation practices/reviews/analyses/memes of Hakuoki special edition booklets/magazine content/artbook content on this blog.

My favorite characters are Souji, Yamazaki, and Saito. So I will prioritize the translation/collection of materials related to these three characters.

Episode 12 ~ The Dotted Line

I admit, the shrine was nothing special. It was just some old wooden structure placed at the mouth of a very daunting cave that I would not dare enter. I feared that even it looking at it would risk being swallowed whole. What’s that phrase about staring too long into the abyss?

Anyways! Thankfully, it seemed the shrine was only supposed to be a backdrop for Souma’s proposal and of course my answer was yes! To me it was a perfect proposal because any proposal from him would have been perfect in my mind but the day did not end there...

It’s been almost a year when I was first introduced to Hakuouki and I’ve never read Hijikata’s route even once. I’m such a bad fan, but can you actually blame me?! He got the anime, the movies, three hakumyu’s + the two live’s, the high school AU tv series+movie+stage and also the regular stage play (which i’ve never seen). I think I’ve gotten a pretty good grasp on what his route is about...

#i still feel bad for not having read it...#i also have barely started on going through edo blossoms #yeah i know... i have still not finished it #i've read shinpachi's and sanan's route #and started on sano's cause i'm weak xD #poor yamazaki iba souma and sakamoto having to wait for me until i've reread my bae first #it's also apparently hijichi week next week #i'm probably not going to draw anything but i'm thinking on maybe a gifset...#we'll see how it goes next week

Hakuoki Yuugiroku 2 - Harada Chapter 5

This is my first post of the month, so I’ll start by asking you to please support me if you can through my ko-fi, and paypal or patreon which provides access to my hakuoki blog translations and early access to my postings. Also, please let me know if you have any hakuoki drama cds that you’d be willing to share that are on my Lookout List since i either do not have audio for those cds or do not have audio that I can share…. and if you are able to remove watermarks from a video, please contact me…

well... i mostly drove op.3 and souma-hen out of my head with some of the original hakumyu musicals. i had to re-rip all of my hakumyu cds since the files got lost cuz my passport stopped working... then i started to distract myself by listening to the Kazama-hen soundtrack and a bunch of BGM tracks from Saito-hen, Hijikata-hen and Reimeiroku, which resulted in way more music being stuck in my head. lol *insert pitiful laugh here*. maybe i’ll finally be able to motivate myself into finish my score for kazama-hen’s yaisa this time around (it’s hard to stay focused on a +10 min song that’s reaaaaallly not meant for the piano though i was able to match most of the notes to when they played when compared to the actual song starting from the 4th measure, which i consider to be insanely good considering how there are 333 freaking measures or roughly 46 pages in my damn score. still need to fix a number of sections though)... and i know ive done a ton of procrastinating on it.

Hakuoki Yuugiroku 2 - Harada Chapter 5

After a short walk down the corridor through headquarters, I stopped when I reached the room for the Tenth Division [reword later?].

Yukimura: Speaking of which/Anyway, Nagakura-san did say that he was apologize to Harada-san for getting him wrongly accused of stealing sake.

I didn't know if Nagakura-san was already here......?

I stepped into the room.

What immediately came into view was the sight of Nagakura-san pressing both of his hands together to apologize.

Shinpachi:——That's how it is! Sano, I'm sorry! I didn't expect for for this to happen!/things to get to this point/develop to this stage!

Harada:......In other words, I was almost banned from going out because of something that you did? Shinpachi.

Shinpachi: We-Well...... if you look at the outcome, it should be fine...... right......

B-But, that’s it. I just put the sake in your room because I wanted to share some delicious sake with you——

It was just bad luck that things ended up that way... [i think?]

Harada: I get it, I get it. I know exactly what happened.

Harada:......But, for me to have been accused without any/for no reason, it's not to much to think that I'd lose my temper, right?

Harada-san cracked his fingers as he spoke.

He was smiling, but his eyes weren’t happy at all.

Shipnachi: U-Uwaaah...!. calm down, Sano! Why are you hitting me!

Harada: Shut up! You should be thankful that I'm just hitting you!

It seemed that Harada-san was quite furious as he looked genuinely angry.

What should I do......!?

Stop Harada-san <-

Evacuate/Get away

Yukimura: Pl-Please calm down, Harada-san! You can't use violence/Violence is not allowed/Don't use violence!

I hurriedly grabbed/hugged Harada-san to try/and tried to stop him.

Seeing me appear so suddenly, Harada-san was startled, but shortly after, he regained his original scowling expression.

Harada: Don't stop me, Chizuru! That guy, Shinpachi, has earned a good beating!

Yukimura: But, but rather than saying that it was Nagakura-san's fault, wouldn't it be better to say that this was just a coincidence/this was an unfortunate misunderstanding......!

Harada: You're someone who doesn’t try to offend anyone... .However, Shinpachi. In the end/first place, this incident, were it not for your love of sake/alcohol addiction, none of this would have happened!

Shinpachi: Guh......

Yukimura: But, but starting/engaging in privates fights is punishable by seppuku, so please, please calm down......!

I was almost shaken off, but I desperately continued holding onto Harada-san.

However Harada-san forced me aside and walked over to Nagakura-san, and then smiled.

Harada: Don't worry, Chizuru. This isn't a private fight. I have no intention to start a fight/fight with him.

Shinpachi: Th-That’s right! Although I was prepared to get beaten, won't/cant you forgive me/I was prepared to get beaten, but you’re actually prepared to forgive me...!? No, as expected of my best friend! The broadness of your mind is comparable to Hijikata-san [reword later. sounds archaic lol]!

Looking at the smiling Harada-san, Nagakura-san let out a sigh of relief.

Is that how it will work out/Will that be how this ends......?

The moment/Just as I let go.

I caught the sight of Harada-san's smile deepening as he clenched his fists behind his back.

Harada: Right, I'm not going to fight you——

Harada——But I'm going to punish you! Grit/Clench your teeth, Shinpachi!!!

Shinpachi: GUAHHH!?

Nagakura-san's depressed screams could clearly be heard even outside of headquarters......

Afterwards, Harada-san and Nagakura-san went to Hijikata-san's room......

Once the situation was explained in detail, the order for Harada-san’s house arrest was lifted.

......Instead/On the opposite end, Nagakura-san was severely punished......

Harada: Really, that bastard, Shinpachi....... he can’t/won't stop causing problems.

Yukimura: Ye-Yes. But I think that Harada-san also went too far....... However, it's good that the suspicions against you were cleared because of that, Harada-san.

Harada: Speaking of which, I forgot to thank you. Thanks, Chizuru.

Yukimura: Eh?

Harada: What you did. It's thanks to you that I was able to prove my innocence [tl word i have is more "to your credit/contribution"].

Yukimura: Th-That sort of thing...... what I did isn't such a big deal.

Harada: Haha, a bit of modesty/humility is good, but when a man thanks you, you need to accept it honestly, since it's a necessary condition of being a good woman/but it's a condition of being a good woman to honestly accept when a man gives thanks, alright?", alright [i think????]?

Seeing Harada-san smile, I couldn't help but also laugh/smile.

Harada: So/Anyway, if you want to go to the festival, just call me at any time/call me whenever. As thanks/As a gift, can I accompany you/keep you company then?

Yukimura: Yes, thank you.

Although there were many twists and turns......

I’m really glad that Harada-san's ban on going out was lifted.

The sigh I let out in relief escaped into the depths of the cool corridor.
