curt as the captain of their ship, owen is his first mate, but sometimes it feels like he really has control. doesnt help that curt is terrible at hiding a respect and admiration that slowly turns into genuine care for his crewmate. one day curt makes a mistake. a temporary lapse in judgement, bad luck, whatever you want to call it. the result is the same, the ship they had been planning to raid was more heavily manned - and more importantly, more heavily armed - than they expected. curt yells to cut the lines that grapple them to the other ship, and owen, who usually jumps the gap with confidence and skill, who has made that jump hundreds of times, slips on a wet rail and falls into the sea. maybe its that curt doesnt notice, maybe its that hes acting in the interest of the rest of the ship, owen will never know. hes pulled aboard by the enemy ship, who intend to question and then kill him, but he manages to secure a spot as as crewmate with his sharp wit and quick aim, working his way up until he is once again first mate, but this time on the ship known as the Chimera.

Mark Your Calendars: Sign-Ups Begin March 15th

Hi everyone! We are very pleased to announce that our first inu-spiration event of 2024 will be a Tanabata bang!

Tanabata, or, "evening of the seventh," is a star festival held yearly in Japan. It celebrates the meeting of the dieties Orihime and Hikoboshi, whose stars are kept separate in the skies, and can only meet once per year. While the festivities can take place in July and August (often overlapping with Obon), the start of the festival is July 7. In honor of the festival, we hope you will join us for our sixth (!) Inu-spiration bang!

Sign-ups for the bang will begin March 15th and run through April 1st. It will be a traditional bang, meaning that artists will either draw to the story that a writer conceives, or the two will collaborate on the concept.

I’ve always wanted to draw them in an au like this. And the time has come!!! 🥳🥳🥳God bless the staff to gave me @procrastinatorrexii as my pair. She’s an amazing person and writer! She did a wonderful job with the story, so much better than I could have imagined. 🥰 This is my first collab, and to see how her brain is working was fascinating! 🥹

Digital art is a new field for me, and the main drawing required a lot of hours, but after Wilson sent me the first drafts I decided to illustrate all of the chapters -because inspiration waves🫠-. Because lack of time these drawings are more than sketches but less than completed arts.

I hope you all will love our world!

Hi everyone! For this iteration of @inu-spiration, I have been partnered with the talented @razdazberry, and OH have we got some plans for you!

How about a little KogKag exes to lovers, some badass Kagome, some very sexy Koga, and a lot of action, all for this upcoming Halloween night?

A sudden flash of light had Kagome squinting. There was a whoosh as the snake was ripped away from her body, and a resounding smack as it bent in half and flung against the window, where it shimmered and exploded, its innards flying about the car.

Tsubaki howled, then screeched as she, too, was bent nearly in half, her dark reiki spilling out of her hands and melting the carpet below. 

But Kagome wasn’t watching that; she was looking at Tsubaki and the way she was huffing, still folded over…

Almost like she’d been kicked.

A surge of yōki filled the cabin, dark green and billowing. Kagome gasped, because she knew, she knew who this was and…

She was scooped up into a pair of muscular arms, her skirt swishing around her. Her body shifted, nearly out of her control, but then a deep, husky voice breathed into her ear:

“Get on my back, sweetheart, if you still remember how.”

Inu-spiration Halloween 2023

Happy Halloween! Once again I was paired with the amazing @elkonigin for an Inu-spiration project, who is always a delight to work with.

I sent her a scribble, she sent me lots of words - more than I deserved really, so I did more scribbles, and she sent me a lot more words. Together we've come up with quite a delicious story - a canon verse inukag tale that I am sure you're going to enjoy getting your teeth into.

This was the first image I sent, which the whole story was based on. I liked the idea of a battle scene where both Kagome and Inuyasha had to work together. The original sketch was slightly different - the oni has become a lot more streamlined, and there's more elements that feature in the story incorporated into the art. It was fun coming up with some original characters to draw!

There's four more images to come, because every time I'm paired with a writer, I just can't help getting excited about how the story is going and doing more sketches.

Buckle up - it's going to be quite a ride. And bon appetit!
