Sometimes I look through my thousand upon thousands of open tabs and I find interesting stuff I've already forgotten that I looked up a long time ago.

Things of interest I've found today among the tabs:

so, I’m not really one to make like “thoughtful star wars posts” because I haven’t really thought in depth about it in a long time, at least not to the extent that I have within the recent years,

but sitting here in a lab by myself for hours, I can’t help but be thinking about the tragedy that is darth vader? Like, yes, he’s the most powerful sith lord in the entirety of the galaxy but he only got to that point by going down a dark path that was incredibly avoidable.

If anyone on the jedi counsil, including Obi Wan, had just listened to his concerns about Padmè or anything like that, he might’ve felt less compelled to take matters into his own unstable hands. The chancellor saw his vulnerability and took complete advantage of it, saying that he could help him save Padmè which was ultimately a lie.

In reality, Anakin’s need to be ahead of the curve and his undying love for his wife was his final undoing which bothers me incredibly. Is this what I should be thinking about right now? Absolutely not, but it’s taking up a lot of room in my brain so I needed to write a lengthy blog post lmao. Like all this man wanted was a family, especially after the death of his mother. He craved the feeling of belonging that he could only really get from a family.

All that’s really been going through my head, besides what I previously mentioned, was the moment that he learned Padmè was pregnant. That was a sort of unbridled joy I haven’t seen from many other men in media. Like, “our baby is a blessing”, kills me now more than it did when I was a kid watching these movies. Can you imagine how he would’ve felt learning that it wasn’t just one child but two???? Mans would’ve been brought to tears.

Tl;dr, I want to see a happy space family
