this is starley! woah I haven’t thought about them since 2021

they’re a sort of partial reincarnation of bill post canon, sort of? they’re manifested from stans memories of him, which are incomplete and inaccurate. they manifested as someone existing between dimensions, unable to be seen by anyone, and ended up creating a sort of parasocial relationship with the pines and integrating themself as part of the family… without anyone knowing, seeing, or hearing them.

aside from the mystery shack, they have a really deep connection to the bill statue in the woods. they come to it to vent and ramble. one day, after “developing” enough (idk) bill “came back” from the statue - but also incomplete and trapped between dimensions alongside them. they’re his only shot at making a full comeback, but to get them to merge with him and come to their collective full power, he’s gotta take them under his wing. which is… a lot easier said than done.

ooc. helene and mac stanley, who is hel's partner in her 50's verse titled ' let my woman testify ' and an oc i have sadly neglected over the years. the song that hel associates with him throughout their relationship is ' leader of the pack ' which came about after their very first date, because he picked her up on his motorcycle and they took a spin all around town after dinner and a movie. mac works weekends on the railroad and does sometimes work weekday hours here and there, while helene in this verse works regular hours as a waitress in a local cafe.

TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR!!! HAHA!!

I had this weird ass daydream about this star hand puppet. Ngl I really Like the idea of a hand puppet being chapter 3’s secret boss.

starley the star is a children’s show side character that slowly died out due to the writers not knowing what to do with him anymore, and now is just completely forgotten by everyone.

they have a personality that’s kinda a combination of flowery, muffet, and a typical outlaw you see in a western movie or something. They only appear popping out behind a wall, and it just seems like they are following kris around the place.

To access his boss fight, you need to act like a jerk to him and have him follow you into this place called “set 67” bellow the castle or whatever it would be in chapter 3.

basically starley will turn your soul purple, and start attack you with props from a western film, or shoots you with bullets from his gun. His final attack is basically similar to muffets, starley would jump, leaving the hand that has been controlling the puppet. It will start to chase you, while starley shoots bullets all around the screen. You need to survive this till enough of starleys bullets hit the hand, causing a big ass explosion that leads you back to the fight. Btw the strings during the special attack will move around while your trying to avoid the bullets, which increases the difficulty by a lot.

okay finally I wanna talk about what starely wants, all he wants is to be Kris’s friend. That’s all.

the entire fight is just him throwing a temper tantrum at kris for them beings a complete jerk at him, and to finally end the fight, you need to either attack them, or try to calm him down.

after you calm him down, he opens up about him just being thrown out and treated like trash, and how he just wants a friend. Then he will become “starskys”, which is a hat that has a star pattern all over it, it gives the wearer a increase in sparing enemys.

But if you attack him, he will just call you a utter jerk and become the “starblade”. This will increase your attack greatly in battles with enemys who hate you. Which means you can’t use it in arena battles or in battles with friends.

but uh ya, that’s starely the star.

I just binge watched the entirety of Puppet History and it was amazing…

But my dad walked in while I was watching the Professor’s memorial and I had to explain what I was watching.

I think his opinion of me has been permanently changed

Anyway!

I wrote a thing, I’ve been writing it for like over a year but got 90% of it (like 4 chapters) done during November.

It’s gonna have lots of science in it, but at its core, it is a superhero (and supervillain) story!

The main characters are brothers trying to fix a world we’re heroes and villains fight and—like most other stories with these types of characters—don’t care about the damage they cause.

One brother—Wendell, aka Parallax—decides he can help some by becoming a villain and keeping other heroes and villains away from where he lives. The other brother—Benjamin, aka Specter, joins a hero team to spy on them and try to convince them to care about people other than themselves.

Shenanigans ensue!
