Some shots from the Wildwood fall car show the past weekend. After the past couple of years they were able to get the cars back on the boardwalk, but the tropical storm that hit the coast kinda made the show DOA. Some cars out on Friday but that was it. Rest of the weekend was a washout. The first time I heard about this show I thought about all the great photo ops of cars on the boardwalk at sunset. I have yet to actually experience that. Oh well, maybe next year.

Primes Or Zooms

I would like to ask you a question. What do you prefer shooting with a prime lens or a zoom lens?. This seems to be a hot topic in the photography community.I myself use more zoom lens’s then primes. For my Canon 7D I use a 28-75mm 2.8 and a Canon 70-200mm 2.8 for most of my shoots. As far as my fuji XE2 I use a 18-55 2.8-5.6 zoom when I’m shooting with mirrorless. The reason for me using zooms…

The Porsche 911 powered VW Beetle Hot Rod: The Porsche Wagen.

While a 911 engine swapped Beetle might be pretty common for 2023, in 1973, it was unheard of. Mad man Ed Papac’s crazy build features the body of a VW Beetle, engine from a 911S, and brakes from a Porsche Carrera. A stock Beetle in 1973 only had 58 horsepower but with this engine swap it would bump it up to 190 horsepower. Combine that with a pretty much gutted Beetle and this thing might actually be faster than the 911S that the engine came from. The cherry on top though is this insanely detailed 70’s bright orange hot rod paint job.
