I think I’ve finally figured out all of the summoning methods in YGO. I thought Link Summoning was really hard/confusing but it turns out the practice duel was just ridiculously hard, for a duel that’s supposed to teach you. I finally had to look up strategies and saw that a ton of people were having issues with it. Managed to finally beat it with one of those strategies, and now I understand Link Summoning and all the arrows, so pfft. Pendulum is still a tiny bit confusing but I think I understand the rest.

Never ask me to play YGO in real life though. The fact that the game does half the work for you (like telling you when you can activate cards and stuff) helps me A LOT. I don’t have the attention span or memory for a game like this in real life. I’d constantly be checking my face down cards and re-reading effects over and over and would still forget to use half of them. 🫠

I keep thinking about cardboard and how much I love it. The other day I pulled Sirocco the Dawn and its like. Not a card you run in an actual Blackwing deck but just me owning it made me happy. Also thinkign about building out my crystal beasts has me. Kicking my feet in joy.

a) this is the most delightful ask i've gotten so far tyvm for the compliments and spreading my fat catgirl propaganda. nota fakename is everything and it makes me very happy to see people on here fall in love with her.

b) i play dragonmaids and HEROs (i was a GX baby) for fun, used to use exodia/synchron/quasar for climbing ladder (70% of wins coming from someone folding before the end of my first turn), am currently experimenting with a despia deck that is more than 50% handtraps by volume as i spite my way through tearlaments meta

Oh I completely forgot. I did go to the Structure event !!

I ended up buying 3 and that ended up being my deck for the event... All things considered, I didn't do too bad. I lost 3 games and won 2, so nothing too amazing, but honestly I didn't care too much cause I was too excited over the fact that I can summon Red Supernova Dragon and all that (I ended up only summoning her one game... 🥲 But I did win that one!!!! The other RDA cards were so fun too, I'm a huge fan of big dragons.)

Anyways, maybe if I fix up the deck I'll take it to locals again, although I'm unsure what exactly to do against stuff like Unchained and Purrely (but I am generally a bit clueless there .. I also kinda don't care that much? I'm happy enough to play a few rounds even if I lose. But also! I did win against Unchained once so maybe I just have to overwhelm my opponent quickly. Like how the king does it!!!)

Also I had to try be normal about the Everybody's King card cause it makes me so sad 5Ds is so awful (said lovingly and full of joy)

(Another person also shared my enthusiasm for 5D's which made me really happy, although I felt a bit silly cause they would go like 'oh i liked this scene and that' and I'd say what episode it was and what i liked about that episode and i felt really insane.)
