So a little something about two of my newest babies [ at least to tumblr, one of them I've been writing for years and just adapted ]...

This is Talaitha. She is a High Half-Elf. She is also a bard. She has a sharp wit and an even sharper tongue. Independent. Authority-defying. Probably just shy of calling for Rebellion and Anarchy when the Steel Watch takes over and the patriars don't seem to be doing SHIT--as usual. Is a killer lute player, as well as the lyre. Will not take anything from anybody [ but cares a lot more than she would let on ]. Has been on her own for several years.

This is Rebekkah. She is a Half-Drow. She is a life cleric of Ilmater. Honestly one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Has the biggest heart. Would help a perfect stranger without even having to be asked. Also happens to have been born entirely deaf.

As different as these two young ladies are in both appearance and personality, they have exactly one thing in common:

Their father, @banefulbenevolence.

And yet, somehow, both have a sort of resemblance to him.

For the first, Tala's lips are almost exact. A little more round and a fuller upper lip, but the overall shape is quite similar. She definitely shapes her eyebrows to get them to Look Like That. Similar-ish overall face structure. I suspect she tends to narrow her eyes like her father, too. And I think her skin tone is a bit closer. Prominent chin, but a much stronger jaw. Cheekbones are a bit more sharply angled.

Bekkah has thinner lips, but roughly the same shape even so. Thicker eyebrows like dad. And I feel like the eyes are pretty close when he isn't Scowling or trying to Look Tuff™. Again, similar face structure, though in a different way. [ Were I able to mod, her nose would probably also be not far off from how his looks, too, due to similar physical trauma at a young age. ] Not a super strong jaw, same as Enver, and still a prominent chin.

I’ve been wanting to draw some Eldarya fanart for a while now, I finally managed to sketch out a few of the ideas I have for my gardienne ♥

This is all I was able to do for tonight. I’m super tired, I need sleep. Maybe I’ll do some more of these in the future, because they’re easy to color since they’re simple sketches.

For now we have 4 sketches:

-Ezarel pulling his usual jokes on Nero, a 15 year old boy I created that is in the Shadow Guard. As you can see, he doesn’t take shit from Blue Princess.

-Oriane, my main gardienne, interacting with Valkyon, her boss. Despite their friendship, she insists on calling him that way with her funny accent. Their relationship is so good to the point where she can make snarky comments even on worrisome situations.

-Nevra as an infiltrated spy during a ball in comemoration of Lady Ambrose. (Yes, I did change her to look more exotic). In my story, I gave back Nevra’s eye, he’s around 17 at the time...Until proven otherwise by Chino herself,this’ll stay canon haha! Lady Ambrose isn’t as naive as he would expect, and she would actually spot him even before her husband, stopping him of completing his mission. In the end, she helps him escape with the help of her maids.

-Talaitha, Oriane’s mother. She lives in a small comunity I created named “Court of Flames”. The Court was founded by a few humans that ended in Eldarya through the portal and set their camp on a field, soon getting used to their new land and creating new generations with other races. Greatly inspired by the Romani, the Travelers are very patriotic and enjoy keeping their human traditions alive. Some members learn tarot, play the guitar, dance, and participate on the market by selling goods or golden trickets of their creations.

I didn’t add backgrounds because I was too lazy... Ohwell, I hope you enjoy nonetheless ♥

So it turns out most contortionist poses don’t really lend themselves to being used for outfit design, but I tried my best

Abilities: Acrobatics, Contortion, Body Manipulation, Mortal God abilities (Although she never learned she was one until after her death and subsequent transformation into an immorte, so that point is mostly moot)

Hobbies: Being conflicted about her religion, attempting to exorcise demons, architectural photography 

Personality: Raised to keep her emotions hidden and project an exterior of humility, Clementine often finds it hard to express herself and reconcile with the fact that she loves being in the limelight. A deeply conflicted person, she tries to balance her religious upbringing with her love of over the top theatrics and superhero dramatics, often overthinking herself into inaction. Due to this, the things she wants to do often collide with how she believes she should act, creating a large discrepancy and a lot of self doubt. She loves tales of heroism and aspires to be a hero herself, which leads her to taking up a sort of vigilante approach towards eradicating the demons that only she seems to be able to see.  Also, she adores outlandish architecture, and often takes photographs of her favourites she’s seen with a shitty camera she managed to get her hands on.

Backstory: Raised in a religious household with little personal freedom, Clementine often found herself living vicariously through tales of heroism. After visiting a circus performance with a friend she was inspired by its mythical theatrics, and decided that she absolutely had to find a way to join it. Though she befriended a few of the performers, learned a couple tricks, and made plans to run away from home, when the time actually came she found herself in a different world entirely. I mean literally. I mean she missed the circus in her world that she wanted to join and accidentally travelled to Lyuhx. There she eventually found her way to a different circus, and managed to convince one of the performers to let her join after showing the tricks she had learned from her friends. Although the circus on Lyuhx was a bit different than Evala, she quickly wormed her way into the culture and befriended the troupe’s acrobats, learning both acrobatics and contortion. As the troupe continued to travel its circuit, Clementine began to notice strange beings in the towns that seemed to be causing issues for the citizens. With no one else being able to tell her anything about them, she decided they were demons that needed exorcising, and thus began an extended period of trial and error until she finally figured out how to banish them. This eventually proves to be her downfall as it causes her death, along with that of Talaitha (Aleer’s sister), and as a newly minted Immorte she finds that the demons she was fighting are really the least of the problems plaguing the larger universe. Now believing she is an angel of god, she resolves to destroy the abominations to prove her worth. 

I include the whole her dying thing because that’s really the catalyst for her own story starting within the larger story, since before that she’s really just a secondary character from Aleer’s pov 

Outfit Notes

Evala Outfit: simple dress, tied up hair, No Fun Allowed

Lyuhx Casual Outfit: I imagine the drive to dress conservatively never really left in her mind until later in her story, and thus she covers up quite a bit while walking around town. Like Aleer’s outfit it involves a lot of embroidered pleats, since I guess I’ve decided that that is how Lyuhx fashion is. This is also what she wears while trying to fight demons, for the record 

Acrobat Costume: I wanted to design something a bit more flashy for this one, as the circus in Lyuhx is seen as a sort of moral palate cleanser (as in, you go to the circus and have your fun, and then come back and resume being an uptight ass). While it shows a couple patches of skin, the folds still keeps it fairly covering, though Clementine still gets the occasional flash of moral panic about wearing it 

Abomination Squad Outfit: The last two are out of order in terms of timeline, but they looked better visually like this so I left it. This outfit is what she wears after joining an abomination cleanup task force. She feels less self conscious about it only because most of the other members are wearing something similar, and plus, the yoga pants are pretty comfy. 

Contortionist’s Costume: Likely the most revealing outfit Clementine would ever dare actually wear, she typically puts a (horrible) shawl over it when she’s not actually preforming in it. This one is actually based on her old design, and I keep it entirely because it actually looks fairly neat with contortion poses despite its obvious Halloween overtones.

It wasn't sickness or death that separated Tala from her mother, but rather that her mother simply wasn't much of one. Having developed an alcohol and drug addiction when Tala was still quite young, her lifestyle became more and more irresponsible, and the anger at being saddled with a young child more and more pronounced. One day, she threw the girl out, claiming she simply wasn't going to put up with her anymore. Thankfully, Tala was smart and clever. She was able to get by and eventually, thanks to the lessons of a traveling bard, she was even able to thrive... at least until her city began to go downhill... which was right about the time she started seeing posters of a man who looked far too familiar for her liking and the first time she saw him in the public square giving a speech she knew: Lord Enver Gortash is her father. Determined to meet the man, one way or another, Tala sets about to do just that... though the task quickly becomes far more difficult than first she had thought...
