We're living thru a time where it seems people are more and more annoyed with choices made by other people that have no impact on their on lives whatsoever. On the serious and significant side of this behaviour there's people objecting to other people's life choices about who they are, how they identify, who they love etc. That's the fucking worst and it's tragic that so many people who just want to live their lives in peace are being impacted by assholes whose argument basically comes down to "that's not for me, so it shouldn't be for you either." On the much less serious side of the spectrum of the behaviour, but certainly noticeable and annoying to me, is how people are reacting to Taylor's new album. Honestly, just shut up, assholes. You don't have to like it. You don't have to like her. Nobody is forcing anything on you. It just so happens that there are a LOT of us who do really like her, and like her music, and, ya, ok, we're vocal about it, and some of us can be obnoxious and tiresome about it, but get the fuck over yourselves. I don't like Taylor Swift to make you miserable. I legitimately don't care if you like Taylor Swift or not or think she's a genius, or are offended by her belief that she's a poet, or anything. I like her because when I listen to her music I become happy. It's literally as simple as that for me. The day after The Tortured Poets Department came out I was having a bad day and was really grumpy in the morning (for reasons having nothing to do with any of it) and then I decided to put my headphones on and listen to Taylor for the rest of the day, and guess what? My mood improved tremendously. It made me happy. Sorry. That's fucking it. That's why I listen to Taylor Swift. If you're a person who needs to define yourself by hating on things other people like, or believe, or feel, it's time to take a good look deep inside and just find something YOU love, and focus on that for a change. I can feel him looking at me from across the rocking boat, my hands anxiously fiddling in my lap as I listen to the water splash against the wood beside me, Robin's figure slowly disappearing beneath the lake's surface.

"Are you gonna, ya know, follow?" I ask Eddie and he scoffs, reaching up to run his fingers through his messy curls. Though he looks put together, almost nonchalant and chill in this stressful moment, I can tell by his bobbing knees that he's beyond nervous- traumatized even- from the last few days and the events and deaths that have filled them.

"I don't know. I feel like someone has to keep watch." I offer but he just shrugs, not happy with my answer even though he's making no move to go in after Steve, Robin and Nancy. Looks like we're both cowards. "Plus, I don't really feel like getting undressed right now." I chuckle, wrapping my arms around myself as the air blows right through me.

"Oh, do I make you nervous?" He teases, knowing full well that I've had the biggest crush on him for the longest time thanks to Steve getting a little too high one night and spilling the beans. His eyes flutter away from me at the sight of my anxious smile and tense shoulders, giving me a second to breathe.

"If you go in, I'll go in too." I offer meekly, fiddling with the hem of my sweater anxiously. He looks back at me with a shocked expression at my proposal, his brows lifting in pleasant surprise. He sends me a nod and quickly strips himself of his vest and sneakers, looking down at the dark murky waters with a huff, his hands resting firmly on his hips. When he looks over at me, he senses my hesitancy and chuckles.

“Sweetheart, in my mind we’ve already fucked, so don't feel shy now." I roll my eyes playfully but I slip my sweater over my head anyways, leaving me in a simple tank top, goosebumps immediately lining my skin. His eyes widen and quickly avert from me as his throat clears, a bashful smile spreading over his lips. "Now it's my turn to be nervous."

Just me losing my s*it at these six words — but this is something I will dive into in more detail later, it’s interesting to stop and think about all the reasons Ronan took Adam and not someone else to the Barns. Just a thought 🫣

THIS PART. Not only it’s foreshadowing for them moving to the Barns together, not only it’s heartbreaking because Adam never had a real home — but Ronan himself will become a synonym of home for Adam. Maggie Stiefvater you freaking genius. As a bonus, Ronan picking up plums for both of them might seem insignificant, but it’s in little acts like these that he shows how deeply he cares about Adam. So yes your honor a plum made me emotional and WHAT ABOUT IT.

UHM EXCUSE YOU I NEED AN INHALER??? I literally screamed. Adam has been noticing Ronan’s (gorgeous) eyes lingering on him. Then this whole description about how Ronan is the literal best and most selfless person in the world who would literally d*e for his friends and constantly puts them first (and Adam knows that). No I will take no criticism on this.

Adam being in awe of Ronan? Relatable but also makes my heart go 💞💕💗 HE FINDS HIM HANDSOME can we take a second to lie down and take that in??? Okay. We can proceed now.

“Tell me what I’m missing” because again, Ronan thinks so highly of Adam. Ugh 🥺 Can we just appreciate these contrasts??? Fair and cautios / dark and incendiary. THE SOULMATERY OF IT ALL. ❤️‍🔥

This part. The part that had me crying actual tears. Ronan confides in Adam with what’s most precious to him in the world — his family, Matthew (baby angel) in particular. Ronan once again proves he deserves so much love (while we wait for Adam to give it to him) and Adam can’t help but think about how devoted Ronan is. Well. If anyone needs me I’ll get over this in the next 3-5 months.

This is just so freaking sweet. Their shoulders were close (and they liked it that way because I am hereby deciding this is a metaphor for how they will lean on each other forever ha ha). 💗

In conclusion: Adam thinks Ronan is handsome, devoted, dark, incendiary, incredible (he doesn’t say the word but it’s obvious alright).

This is not in Ronan’s pov, but we know Ronan thinks Adam is smart(er than him), trustworthy, elegant, strong.

I can’t wait to watch their love bloom 🥺

15: favorite book you’ve read as a school assignment?

A List of Cages by robin roe was during the summer before my freshman year of high school, a while back, and I remember annotating it, loving the plot, enjoying the assignment which was to take notes and annotate the pages if the book was our personal one and then we…didn’t do anything with it except a handout that said “did you do the reading?” with checkboxes labeled yes and no. I was so disappointed but I remember loving that book. There’s also Brain On Fire by Susannah Cahalan, which is just an amazing true story (the movie is ok but the book is just *chefs kiss*. I’m actually using it in my final project in my psychology course this year!!

Coming out to myself. I actually came out to my friends before myself, which sounds weird but hold on. I knew i was queer so i told them, the ones i was comfortable with, about my sexuality. But i wasn’t in full terms with it. I grew up very religious and the way my church and family spoke about homosexuality just made me feel like an outcast. Thankfully, I’m proud of who i am today and while I’m terrified of the day I come out to my family, i know i can make it through the tough times if they come

My belief in god isn’t a struggle per se but i much prefer my relationship with them today than my past relationship with them. In the past i was a nightmare, just a total bitch and even though ik today it was because of how i was raised and what i absorbed and all the internalized homophobia, i still know it’s not an excuse to unlearn all my taught hatred so I’m pretty proud to say that i am a much, much better person today ✨character growth✨

My fear of death. While i haven’t completely overcome this, ive come to better terms with the fact that one day i will die and the only thing i can do is live life to the fullest and just live, not to force myself into a box of what i have to do but just enjoy being alive while i am. Taylor is all business. Toe is a business contract, especially during promo seasons. She was at VMAs with the cast/producer of ATW10. She was pap'd with Toe and Lena. ALL business. No doubt. Lena and Toe have a movie coming, so they are seen with her. It's just funny when he pops up. It all for the papers the next morning.

Marketing genius I tell ya, but I do hope she keeps Toe away from this album. I won't feel inclined to listen if so. Which will suck. I'm not feeling good about it. Especially since she hasn't given us the track list yet. 😬

Yeah I had the same worry as you. But I am holding onto the hope that she meant what she said in that their “collab” was a product of quarantine. And the fact that these are songs she’s written over the course of her life to date. So like I’m just trying to stay optimistic but if he is involved in any way I probably won’t be rushing to buy it either. Maybe she knows this and will hold off mentioning it til it’s out so people support.

Maybe she’ll just do the liner notes thing where she says recorded everything in locations that coincide with whatever projects he was working on or some other silly thing like that. Idk.

It really wasn’t codependent dude she wasn’t any more dependent on karlie than she was on her other friends. She wasn’t that attached to her and hence she publicised the fuck outta that friendship ( Taylor doesn’t publicise relationships that actually mean something to her THAT HARD see: Joe/selena) she could’ve done a song w selena but she doesn’t even tho they record together and play each other their albums.

If she was that dependent on karlie she would’ve stayed there for her when things were going bad for karlie with josh but she couldn’t have given a lesser amount of fucks because she straight up ran away with Joe. I know cancellation and all but let’s be real she’s there for her actual friends even if she’s at her lowest, yes she needed Joe but she didn’t give a fuck about karlie way before joe happened, she got her share of publicity and karlie was getting too annoying for her lbr. She distanced from karlie before the scooter drama because karlie is not tays vibe at all and that’s why I can’t think of any logical reason why Tay would be jealous of karlie.

Taylor was a skinny, tall model looking pop star(and still is) fresh outta her tour and her album even won her a grammy. I doubt she was jealous regards to the relationship too because even though karlie has a long term relationship with josh and yea her in laws don’t matter that much but in Taylors books she doesn’t look like the person who would fantasise about a relationship like Joshlies. She wanted something long term since she was a kid that’s why she kept trying to take back Jake even after he demeaned her so much. She probably looked down on karlie for staying in a relationship with Josh who wasn’t even taking a stand for her at that point. This doesn’t mean Joshlie isn’t a happy couple it just means Joshlie doesn’t have anything Taylor would be jealous of re: longevity I doubt it because Taylor would rather dump a guy like Josh voluntarily than put up with him just for the sake of the relationship. Also, Taylor could clearly see Karlie is a gold digger she wouldn’t have said that to her obvi but it doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. Regarding the fashion cool kid group I’m highly suspicious Taylor ever wanted to be a part of the fashion world. She isn’t interested in haute couture and never was and knows that she never will be. She had model friends for sure but I don’t think it was purposely done, she was just campaigning hard to clear her boy hungry man eater image and showing the world that she has all these pretty girlfriends. She wasn’t tryna join fashion she was tryna clear and transform her image and get a grammy which she got. She’s definitely an insecure girl and is for sure jealous of a lot of people even now and was in her twenties but karlie being one of those people doesn’t sit right with me atleast.

Eh maybe. I disagree but not enough to argue lol. Like you’ve thought it through and tbh none of us know these people. Your headcanon is well argued, I just don’t think it’s right. Most importantly, I think the “she doesn’t publicize meaningful shit” isn’t true for 1989 era. She publicized EVERYTHING dude. Fucking EVERYTHING. If live-streaming taking a shit would’ve gotten her more likes and fans and clicks, she’d have done it. The woman was fame whoring hard because she wanted that Grammy and once she had the Grammy she started to chill more again.

But ya I mean I’ve shared my thoughts, but they’re just thoughts and headcanons about strangers. Yours also make sense. I just don’t agree lol.
