how would the boys react to someone stalking the mc for weeks? and mc getting creepy texts and gifts? mc finally reveals that to them because they are worried
Alpheratz: He is not good at keeping an eye out, but he listens when you finally tell him. His first advice is to get a new number and only share it with your closest friends for now. If you know who your stalker is and them being a student as well, he actually talks to his grandfather to get the student expelled.
Arcturus: He is glad that you talked to him, though he apologizes that you feel unsafe. Not because he is the stalker, but because no one deserves such frightening events. He organizes something so you are never quite alone. There is always one of the guide sorcerers who will walk you anywhere you want to be, and he casts a protective spell, so that no one who intents to harm you can come near you.
Pollux: He is a guide sorcerer for a reason and he always wanted to show his authority, though the circumstances make it hard for him to give your culprit a "fair" trial. Not that it should be fair, when you have been emotionally tortured for who knows how long, so he gets heated up whenever he thinks about it. This will continue until the one responsible finally got a punishment, and then he will no longer discuss this. How he accomplished finding the culprit? He just says it is a mix of bad luck and hopeful thinking.
Sirius: You will not know what happened. The day you talked to Sirius about this is the day it all magically stopped. No one is quite sure what happened, as every witness statement contradicts one another. Is your foemer stalker still alive? Yes. But where they are right now or whether they can still walk should not be your concern.
Spica: He tries to use as many safety precautions as he can. New phone and number, new dorm, guide sorcerers keeping an eye out for you. As soon as people know who the stalker is, you still have to go through a trial to get them banned from the property. Of course, he apologizes to you for the trial, since it can increase your emotional burden and he hates doing this. But as soon as the trial is over, he offers you therapy to cope with the trauma this must have caused.
Vega: He is a pathfinder and he will find a path to the stalker's early funeral. Might get expelled, but has no regrets.

ArTw boys if they followed us back to Mid Earthium
Based on this undone prompt provided by @sleepytwilight
Tumblr media
Context: one of the gang somehow went to Mid Earthium with us (we dragged one of them there's no escape) now they are stuck with us til who knows when
Tw: Nothing too serious, Sirius being a red flag, its mostly crack I don't know how to write sad stuff
Arcturus
You found him in your kitchen on the ground, confused
"S-Summoner? What...where is this?"
"This is your house..??"
Poor baby was still confused even after you explained to him what happened.
Oh well, it just means he can know more about Mid Earthium culture (and the Summoner)
You both found out that your imprints with each other still work here (Arcturus was knitting at home and you summoned him to the florist to ask him which flowers looked better)
He found the crustiest animal shelter once and was absolutely horrified (You had to give therapy afterwards)
*in tears* "These poor things are sitting in their own waste-WHY IS THAT DOG BEING CRAMPED UP IN SUCH A SMALL CAGE"
You both came back home with your own personal petting zoo after that. (Let's assume our house is big enough)
He takes care of all the plants and animals in the house for you
Now your house is not only a petting zoo, but also a jungle. Yay.
He helps old ladies cross the street.
Literally the best housemate you could ever ask for.
He was amazed when you pointed out that he was an actual star in Mid Earthium.
The star Arcturus literally looks like him IT GLOWS ORANGE AJHSKHDKAKJGH
Very sweet.
*arcky appreciation*
Spica
You were in your nearby public library and saw Spica lecturing some kids about yelling in the library.
How Spica of him, you thought.
After bringing him home and explaining the situation to him, he was surprised to say the least.
At least now you would be by his side.
After 1 day your house now smells of coffee
Because he makes you coffee every morning (you drink it out of politeness and your love for Spica, despite the coffee being very bitter and like a 100 degrees Celsius)
Your house is also suddenly 10 times more organised
He has a considerable amount of free time now that he doesn't have to do work for the Guide Committee 25/7, so he can finally catch up on sleep.
And you can also bring him outside more
In which he gets major culture shock, because my dude used to like ballroom music and people articulating themselves in proper English (or whatever language I guess)
"Summoner, what does 'pogchamp' mean?"
Yeah. Time to teach this man about the internet.
I don't know about you, but I feel like Spica would fall for internet scams, because they don't have that stuff in Bound Arlyn (or maybe Spica just never used the internet.)
If you have any work to do, he will be watching very closely over your shoulder.
You try to teach this old man how to play online games and fail.
"...How do I know which team I'm on? How do I crouch?"
I think you should just let him read Mid Earthium books instead.
He is a very considerate housemate, doesn't really bother you unless you go bother him
He feels so weird not doing anything since he is overworked most of the time at Contell, please give him something to do.
Your imprints still worked, you summoned him from the living room to the bathroom because you were too short to fix a lightbulb (admit it you are short because so am I)
Alpheratz
You found him on a bench, being questioned by the police whether he was some homeless guy or not.
You manage to bring him home and explain to him what was going on (I mean as if we know what's going on)
I feel like he would either be really surprised, or just not care.
His logic: No Spica nagging = good
He spends most of the time asleep on your couch or somewhere in the house, or maybe the backyard if you have one.
He honestly would not care less, but his mood would be better overall because no Spica, and also no Schedar.
So you may be able to convince him to do stuff (maybe)
Your imprints work pretty much fine, you were trying to figure out how to wake him up from his century long coma on the couch, so you went to your room and summoned him there
It worked yeah, but he just went back to sleep, but on your bed.
Ah well.
He would be more than happy to accompany you around though, because Spica isn't there to show up out of the blue.
He can reach the high shelves for you.
If you are shorter than him (me), he will tease you for being short, because Pollux isn't around.
"Give me back my phone."
"But can you reach it?"
"..."
"That's right. You can't. :)"
You hit his face with a pillow
You may have to do your chores on your own though, you could try asking Alpheratz and there is a 50/50 chance he would help you
He helps you get more sleep as well, it is stressful being the Summoner in Bound Arlyn after all.
Pollux:
You found him in a park. On a swing set. He was taped to it.
Somehow, you were not surprised.
Little boy was overjoyed to see you.
You tried to explain what was happening to the best of your ability
He was a little confused, but that was all forgotten when you offered to go out to explore with him.
You took him to 7eleven, where he got a shit ton of snacks, because who's gonna stop him, not you.
He was so excited to stay with you without anyone else.
He also ensured that you had to clean up some stuff because the bad luck be bad lucking.
Anyways, you made the mistake of introducing him to social media
Its too late now he has actual followers now
Ah well.
Get ready to do tens of hundreds of tiktok challenges
It just feels like a very Pollux thing to do
He runs around everywhere, he wants to see everything in Mid Earthium and then compare it to the boundary
"Wow, everything's so...bleak. I mean not you of course, you're really pretty-I MEAN YOU DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING-"
Someone calm this tsundere down please he's feral
Would attempt to help out in the house, ends up giving up half way through
Your imprints work, you could not find Pollux anywhere in the house so you summoned him. Apparently he was hiding in the closet eating half the candy in the house
Loves dragging you around the place (he's adorable ahgjhgsajhg)
Vega
You both went back to Mid Earthium at the same time, together, so you both appeared back in your room
You were very enthusiastic about showing Vega around, BECUASE HE'S TECHNICALLY BACK HOME
Let's say you 2 lived in the same neighbourhood and you still live there now.
Bring on the nostalgia.
You showed him around all the places you used to go (according to Vega, since your memories of your time with Vega as a kid were non-existent)
Some changed, some didn't. Vega was really emotional after that (wait I didn't mean to put in all the feels no I'm not crying you are)
Vega would be either really teary or really happy, or both because he can finally spend some quality time with his beloved best friend <3
You both are inseparable the whole time, and if you have to leave the room, he can and will wait at the door until you are back
and don't take too long or else he will be sad (or he will break the door down and find you himself.)
All the time you both had was extremely wholesome without even trying and Vega was simply overjoyed just to be able to be with you.
Sometimes (read: every time) he would come into your room to cuddle with you because he has been overwhelmed with all The Feels ™
I literally love Vega he's adorable
Your imprint works, not because you needed to summon him (he was always by your side anyways), but because you know there's always this bond between the sorcerers? (amplifier stone type stuff or something)
You guys did build a blanket/pillow fort in your living room and cuddled :)
He is the most normal housemate because he knows how things work, except you would not leave your side for more than 10 minutes.
"Please stay by my side, Summoner."
Very sweet 100% chance of survival.
Sirius
You did not need to find him. He found you.
He somehow found where you lived and climbed through the window when you woke up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water (He refused to reveal where he spawned in to)
May Ursa Minor, Polaris and heck even Lilith from obey me why not, give us all strength to survive this
This man can and will tease you about the 2 of you living together in the same house
He has definitely suggested that the 2 of you could share the bed, but stopped before you could throw him out.
He has, despite the locked windows and door, came into your room at 3am in the morning in the form of a dog, just to bother you. You know, just because.
Polaris please come pick your kid up. I don't care whether you're dead, in the void, or is an ice monster.
Barks at people as a dog for no reason.
Got used to living in Mid Earthium very quickly.
Has most definitely pretended to be your boyfriend, up to the point where even you are confused. (gaslight gaslight and gaslight even more)
Will find a way to cause chaos.
Still pretty protective of you though, we don't talk about what he said in chapter 13
Will take you out pretty frequently (interpret it however you want)
You can never find him, so you do summon him to your side when he isn't already (he knows where you are he's just being a stalker dw)
Is very happy that he can have you all to himself, without other people questioning his questionable behaviour.
Will either help out in the house, or knock down glasses like a cat and stare at you dead in the eye.
"...Sirius please. It's 2 in the morning."
*Happy barking noises.*
"What do you want?"
"Can I be the little spoon?"
"Get out."
He somehow makes it seem like he lives in Mid Earthium, and not some wanted criminal from Bound Arlyn.
He's a menace, a hot menace, but a menace nonetheless.

Oshi no Ko 150: Mistranslation or Miscommunication?
Something I was surprised to see in the aftermath of OnK 150 were accusations from the English fanbase that the chapter had been mistranslated or that the content of it had been misrepresented somehow. I fully admit that I was extremely skeptical of this assertion when I first saw it crop up given but MangaPlus's translations do have an unfortunate habit of flubbing minor details in places that do lead to pretty major cascading errors with the English script. It's possible it could have happened, especially in a chapter operating on dream logic as this one does, so I decided to take a look at the JP text myself and see if this was the case. And what I took away was… no, the English translation is more or less fine. A bit stiff but nothing has been lost or changed from the original text. But since there seems to be a lot of misinfo on this topic going around and I have nothing better to do on a Friday morning I guess, I thought I'd do my best to clear some of it up.
First of all: credentials, I guess? I'm the translator of 45510 and Viewpoint B and I was also part of the team working on Spica, The First Star where I contributed translation efforts as well. Basically I just want to assure folks that I'm not pulling this stuff out of my ass lol
Also apologies that some of these caps from the manga are fucking shmeared with Vaseline, tracking down the JP raws in decent quality was a fucking nightmare this time around for some reason. Anyway!
Black Eyes
The first major point of confusion seems to surround a line from Gorou at the start of page seven, while warning Aqua off from 'Sarina'.
「俺の目が黒い内はさりなちゃんに手ぇ出させねえ からな?」
Tumblr media
In initial TLs, this line was translated literally and rendered as "You're not allowed to touch Sarina while your eyes are black!" which immediately caused a flurry of speculation among fans that this was a lore drop, meant to indicate that Aqua was 'not allowed' to be in a relationship with Ruby so long as he had his black hoshigans on - and thus, pursuing a relationship with her would restore them to white. When this line was rendered as "I won't let you make a move on Sarina-chan for as long as I live!" in the official TL, a lot of people assumed this was a mistake or an active omission on the part of MangaPlus. I regret to inform everyone that there was a mistranslation here… but uh, it wasn't MangaPlus!
First of all, Gorou is referring to his own eyes, not Aqua's - and furthermore, he's actually using a euphemistic idiom in the vein of 'over my dead body' or 'when hell freezes over'. There is a bit of missing subtext here in that Gorou is specifically expressing a sort of paternalistic expression and the obvious visual pun of Aqua's black hoshigans but MangaPlus's line gets at what Gorou is actually saying here. So no, unless Akasaka is playing a Ryukishi07 Umineko tier wordplay foreshadowing trick on us, I think we can take this at face value as just a brief gag.
'Good Enough'?
Another point of contention from this same page is a seemingly minor note of potential ambiguity with regards to Aqua's feelings for Ruby. When discussing their relationship at Gorou's prompting, Aqua states that Ruby is 'his precious little sister' with the following phrasing:
「世界でたった一人の大切な妹。それだけで良い。」
Tumblr media
MangaPlus renders the 「それだけで良い。」 part of this line as "That's all that matters". Pretty much since the moment this chapter dropped, I've seen people insist that this is a mistranslation and that initial pre-official TLs of "That's good enough for me" are more accurate - that there is some sense of 'settling' or resignation on Aqua's part, that he does want to be with Ruby but he'll settle for being her brother and that the official TL erases this nuance.
My take on this is… eh. That's kind of a stretch.
Obviously, context is everything but if that sense of 'settling for good enough' is what Akasaka was wanting to convey, 「それだけで良い。」 feels off to me - I would say that 「それで十分だ。」 would be a much more natural choice of words and in fact, we already have at least once instance of this phrasing being used in OnK to express a similar sentiment and being rendered similarly in official TLs as "That by itself is enough."
When it comes to 「それだけで良い。」, "that's good enough" is a perfectly fine TL for it… but so is "that's all that matters", honestly! Depending on context, anything from "That's all there is to it", "That's plenty by itself", "That's all I want" or even "Just that is enough" are all perfectly fine ways to render this idea in English and I don't think the official TL is missing any nuance not suggested by the art. If I can be frank, this attachment to the 'good enough' phrasing in the English seems to come from this being the wording that was initially used by leakers and that it is just slightly more favorable to Ruby in terms of potential to be an endgame heroine.
The Japanese text is just as favorable or unfavorable to Ruby as the official TL is and any ambiguities in that regard exist in both versions of the text. Do with that as you will.
Tensing Up
This is moreso something I've see on Twitter as opposed to the sub but I thought it was worth addressing: when discussing Aqua's supposed feelings for Kana, Gorou phrases it as such:
「星野アクアとして、思春期らしい年相応の恋愛感情を抱えていた。」
Tumblr media
MangaPlus translates this as "As Aqua Hoshino, you have romantic feelings that are appropriate to your age as an adolescent." This is pretty much exactly as he phrases things in Japanese (i.e, he specifically says 恋愛感情 renai kanjou, romantic feelings not just vaguely defined 'love'), but the point of contention sees to be whether this is still the case and that Gorou was specifically talking in the past tense about something that is no longer the case.
This is actually the opposite of what Gorou is saying here: in the part of the sentence that refers to Aqua having these feelings, Gorou uses the phrasing of 抱えていた, which indicates that this state or action is present tense and ongoing.
If I can speculate, this insistence on past tense phrasing seems to come from the fact that feeding Gorou's original line into MTLs such as Google Translate or DeepL returns this past tense phrasing… oops lol.
Bits and Bobs
Just some smaller bits of confusion I've seen floating around that didn't really warrant their own sections…
There seems to be this weird misinfo scrap going around that Aqua switches to referring to himself as 「僕」 (boku) as his first person pronoun after waking from his dream as opposed to 「俺」 (ore), which is what he'd been using in his dream and what Gorou had been using too - thus implying that 「僕」 (boku) is Aqua's 'true self' with no Gorou influence. This… uh, is flatly not the case! Putting aside that Aqua doesn't say anything at all after waking up, (I FUCKED UP, YES HE DOES SAY SOMETHING AND DOES SWITCH TO BOKU, I'M SORRYYYYYYYY) codeswitching between 'boku' and 'ore' as a first person pronoun is not super uncommon and is more to do with context and politeness than anything else - 'boku' is more polite and more appropriate for formal environments whereas 'ore' is always informal. You might switch back and forth between the two depending on who you're talking to - busting out an 'ore' at work would be like going "hey boss, ya boy just finished those financial reports, bitch" so…!
In addition, Aqua has used 'boku' before when distinguishing between "the reincarnator" and "the identity of Aqua Hoshino", so until we see the next chapter and get more Aqua dialogue, I don't know to what degree (if any!) it indicates about pronoun usage differentiating between Gorou and Aqua.
The other bit of discussion I've seen as pertains to the translation is whether Kana's line in the final page - translated by MangaPlus as 'I'm seriously in love' - was a reference to LoveNow's title or if she used the word 'gachikoi' there in Japanese as Ruby does in 143. The answer to both of those is a resounding 'nope'. Kana's line in that final page is 「私は本気の恋をしている。」, while LoveNow's Japanese title is 「今からガチ恋始めます」. Specifically, Kana describes her feelings as 本気の恋 (honki no koi), i.e, seriously, earnestly, truly in love, whereas both LoveNow and Ruby use the term ガチ恋 (gachikoi), a slang term referring to a fan who considers themselves to be legitimately in romantic love with a celebrity/idol/etc. Gachikoi is also how the first generation of B-Komachi are described in both Viewpoint B and 45510 in the original Japanese text.
Shakers of Salt
This is pretty much everything I saw floating around and I am not personally super interested in litigating every line of text in this chapter, BUT - if there's anything you feel was confusing about this chapter's TL in particular or anything that felt off or crunchy, I'd be happy to clarify stuff in the comments!
Ultimately my motivation here was to sooth the itch triggered by seeing my pet peeve pop up, which is people spreading misinfo about the original language text of a work lol. As I said up top, I was immediately skeptical once claims like this started popping up because "actually, this was mistranslated and the original Japanese text just so happens to word for word support my argument actually" is a song and dance I've done a whole lot of times before. I did my time in the Persona fandom, I'm not going back to this!!!
That being said: absolutely fact check me on this! If any of this smells stinky to you, get a second, third and fourth opinion from other parties, do your own research and come to your own conclusions. "People in fandoms will misrepresent the original language text of a work to support their agendas" is not something I am exempt from just because I have done my own translations and the last thing I want is to inadvertently perpetuate bullshit about a language or culture that is not mine. If you take anything from this, it's to do your own research and ultimately see where you come down on this sort of thing.

The Complete Authority Reading Guide
Tumblr media
Born from the late 90s and early 00s trend towards darker superhero stories, The Authority debuted in 1999 with The Authority #1 by Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch for WildStorm. The Authority fights for what they see as best for the world regardless of the cost. The Authority was one of DC’s best-selling books under Mark Millar and Frank Quitely. The team appeared in their series, as well as other WildStorm and DC titles. Their last appearance came months before the launch of DC’s The New 52. Since the N52, most Authority characters have been retconned or forgotten. Only the team’s breakout star Midnighter (and sometimes Apollo) remains active in comics.
This is a comprehensive guide to every appearance of The Authority's main characters: Jenny Sparks, Jack Hawksmoor, the Engineer (Angela Spica), the Doctor (Jeroen Thornedike, later Habib bin Hassan), Swift (Shen Li-Men), Apollo, the Midnighter, and Jenny Quantum.
Tumblr media
Issues marked with an asterisk (*) don't feature Authority characters but do provide context.

Hello!
I saw that requests were open and I thought I'd yeet one over. Hear me out: A Summoner who makes cute little plushies for the ArTw bois. That's it. Go crazy. Go stupid
CUTE PLUSHIES HELL YEAH!
"and one more stitch and it's done!" Summoner said triumphantly as they looked at their gorgeous creation
A total of 6 plushies, handmade by them, each a member of the guide committee
They captured the essence of the boys perfrctly
Spica was still Sirius (this is me being stupid) even as a cute little doll, his hair looked silky and smooth and he looked ready to lead the guide committee against all odds
Arcturus had the cutest smile on it, ready to help plushie spica in all that needs to be assisted, a hero's winning smile to motivate the whole group
Plushie Alpheratz had drowsy eyes and a smug face, he was ready to defy plushie spica but was held back by plushie arcturus's enthusiasm, but the moment they let their guard down you felt like he would go and sleep soundly and smugly
Plushie Sirius seemed to smirk knowing how many pranks he can pull on the others, but he would still want then to be safe and sound so he acts tough with a smirk on his face, but he really does care
Plushie Vega seems cynical as ever even if he is small he is determined to be summoner's best plushie and protect them from plushie Sirius, he has a determined look in his eyes, a true knight in the field
Plushie Pollux, you resisted the urge to give him cat ears, this cat I mean valiant plushie was enthusiastic as ever to learn and help the whole team, not letting any wear and tear pull him down
As you finished sewing the last one, you set it between the sorcerer plushies, a cute small polar bear with a cute necklace on
You left these in the committee room, each doll sitting at your designated seats, waiting for their full grown counterparts to find them
When the boys walked in they observed a meeting was already in session and they could see a certain someone hiding behind the sofa waiting for their reactions
Spica smiles softly at everyone as him and Alpheratz use their magic to manipulate the plushies into holding a meeting, just like them, there was adorable bickering and determined declarations
The meeting ends with spica plushie declaring an urgent mission
The plushies follow him to your hiding spot and give you a big hug as they all say "Thank you Summoner!"

hi ^ ^ you said that asks are open too to discuss floor 13, so I just wanted to ask some questions if you're alright with it. Did the story's ending feel rushed? Like, the conclusion made sense but it would have been more meaningful if there were more floors to flesh out the characters and story. It was just one revelation after the other, and it was such a huge whiplash. I think it was also a little bit sad we couldn't have had a few floors or books(?) that allowed us to talk to the characters more once it was the aftermath of us coming back from Vega's home, because there were just a lot to unpack and it would have been a nice break from the recent, more action filled floors. but maybe that's more so on me wishing there was more content, so I could be kind of irrational saying this ;_;
but i also wanted to ask if there was anything you liked about floor 13? for me, I liked that pollux was given at least the chance to shine a bit, even with imo, a very abrupt character arc and conclusion.
I hope you have a good day and take care ^ ^
Ah I do actually have opinions about this!! I’ll start with the negative side first. Below the cut because this ended up being kind of long. And of course spoiler warning for floor 13!
So I do agree with it being rushed. Like 100% the last 3 floors were rushed, with floor 13 being the worst so far. I think that maybe the team was told they had a certain number of chapters to wrap up the story, and they focused on answering the questions and actually wrapping up the story rather than on the characters or pacing of the scenes. Which is unfortunate, because the romance doesn’t really feel like it’s started until after the destruction of the first tower. It also contrasts kind of weirdly with the earlier chapters, because in the beginning the build-up to the plot was pretty slow.
I’m also kind of irritated about the stuff we don’t get to see that we should have. There seems to be more that the writers wanted to do with the story, because if you notice there’s a lot of lore that’s never touched on in the story, or that’s only gone into very briefly as to be more confusing than anything. Spica never really gets tied into the main story the way the others do (by which I mean, Alpheratz had a past life that was intertwined with Polaris. Pollux and Arcturus had ties to the void mages. Sirius had both! Even Vega’s story peripherally brushes against the void mage storyline with the rifts, and is otherwise significant because he’s tied into the summoner’s forgotten past). There’s several references to mythical creatures that we never even see, despite it nearly always being referenced alongside Spica and the East. The summoner is extremely disconnected from Polaris, even after they gain access to Polaris’s power, and even for them to be such a small part of Polaris’s being, it doesn’t feel like they’re at all connected aside from the summoner’s inheritance of the pact and Polaris’s power. We never get a proper explanation of Sirrah, or what happened to him that caused him to become Alpheratz. We never get a proper explanation of what that reincarnation means, how common it is, or even really any acknowledgement of it aside from everyone understanding that summoner is Polaris in the same way that Alpheratz is Sirrah—which doesn’t make sense, because summoner is only part of Polaris, and only because Sirius salvaged that part of him. And speaking of Sirius, we never see any meaningful character development for him.
Anyway, I think what bothered me more than the pacing was just the ending? Like, no matter how you spin your interpretation of what happened, that wasn’t really a satisfying ending. More problems were created than were solved, and we have no idea what happened to the sorcerers, the boundary—hell, we don’t even know for sure what happened to the summoner. I get that if this is the ending of the entire game, then the ending was meant to be open to interpretation, but like…We’ve been told that the boundary will be destroyed (via Sirius talking about bringing about the apocalypse), and eventually the summoner will be turned into a monster. What kind of ending is that, when the entire game has been the sorcerers giving everything to protect the summoner? When there was so much emphasis on returning the summoner home safely, and when the sorcerers’ parting words to the summoner were genuinely hopeful for a reunion? Like maybe this was always meant to be a tragedy, and that would be fine, but a good tragedy would need much more build-up than this (which brings us back around to the issues with pacing that you mentioned)
But some things that I liked about floor 13:
•I kind of like what they did with Castor and Pollux, actually, but I think the reveal would have benefited from more foreshadowing within the main story. There are a couple of hints to it in his dialogue, the messages, and some of the hard mode floors’ extra scenes, but I feel like the main storyline should be capable of standing on its own.
•Also about Pollux, I went absolutely insane when I read this:
Tumblr media
And I also really like how confused and traumatized Pollux is shown to be by this. We know that Pollux was probably manipulated into this by his brother, but Pollux still has very conflicted emotions about his brother, which he hasn’t been able to properly sort through because his attention has been on the summoner and trying to fix this mess. It also brings about some very interesting context, because if I’m remembering properly, on at least one occasion, Pollux’s brother is described to him as “disgraced”, or something similar. This switch happened very recently, so either Castor wasted no fucking time in causing problems, or the character we know as Pollux wasn’t well liked and was being told to his face that he wasn’t. Either way though…..
Also Pollux’s character being built on the guilt of enjoying being in someone else’s body and perceived as someone else. The imposter syndrome. The implied self-loathing. The fact that he even says he felt terrible because he felt like he was living a lie, but that he was enjoying that lie too much to tell the truth and risk it being taken away…god he’s such a compelling character now that we have the full story
•While I obviously didn’t really like the ending, I do love the way they did it. Ever since we were first told about Vega being separated from the summoner, we’ve heard so much about he and the summoner being told not to look back, and the consequences of that rule being broken. It really brought it full circle to have the ending be the summoner deciding whether or not to look back while trying to return home. (I’m also biased tho because Orpheus and Eurydice is one of my favorite myths ever, and I squealed when the choice was presented)
•I do actually really like the idea of the ending where the sorcerers say the summoner has to go home, and one day they’ll reunite. I think if I had written it, and I wanted to end the story with floor 13, I would have had the summoner return home, and then have the final scene be the beginning of that reunion. Maybe as an epilogue attached to floor 13’s hard mode??
•I love the scene where Alpheratz gets upset on summoner’s behalf when Schedar and Thuban are looking at them and seeing only Polaris. I’ve also kind of been waiting for Alpheratz’s confrontation of Schedar for some time now, because he’s been trying to protect the summoner from him since the beginning and has clearly always been suspicious of his grandfather’s interest in them. I think I would have loved to see more of this—of the love interests or even the summoner themself saying “No, summoner is their own person, and we won’t let you use them like this.”
•Pollux honestly just had some good moments in this floor. Him giving the summoner the cookies/pastries before sending them on their way was so cute, and also him being the one to ask them to consider staying with him….
But overall, I didn’t entirely dislike floor 13. Like I said, I agree that it was rushed, but I think it still touches on the right points to wrap up the story. The problem it suffers from was just that they had way too much to wrap up at once, which meant that it was a endless barrage of information with little room for interaction. Among the things addressed in this floor were the summoner’s (ambiguous) fate, Pollux’s story, the conclusion of the overarching plot, Castor and *gestures vaguely* everything going on there, the resolution to summoner and Vega’s…fight is a strong word, but it’s the only word I can think of? from floor 12, Sirius and his motives and goals, Schedar and his motives and goals. And all of that is just off of the top of my head. I think that the poor pacing also made the climax very um, anti-climactic. The fight with Castor just didn’t last long enough, I think, and wasn’t as challenging for the characters as it should have been.
Anyway, I want to hold out hope for a season 2, because it seems like the intent was to leave room for a continuation of the story. I’m not sure I believe there will be one, but I really want there to be. Guess we’ll just have to see what happens in the next year or so.

Finally read the first chapter of the Spica novel (translated by a great team posted by the incredible @aihoshiino) and I absolutely loved it!
First, Ai perspective is so soooo great here. We usually get perspectives of her from others, even in the two short stories, while we see a lot of bare Ai, it’s always from a group members perspective. This was really special for showing Ai’s interpretations of the other characters and their relationships.
Her neurodivergent coding is a strong as ever too, especially in her feeling of alienation from ‘normal’ people. It’s heartbreaking the way bullying and mistreatment is normalized to her, to the point where someone paying attention and caring is genuinely shocking. Speaking of which…
ICHIGO! Ichigo was perfect in this, a good president, manager, and guardian in one. I loved his reasoning for being in the industry as well as her personal values he shared with Ai. I think she really took them to heart too, even as she is immortalized as the greatest liar, that ‘shred of sincerity’ was always there and (imo) is what drew people to her the most. Unlike the other idols, who primarily wanted individual fame, Ai wants to share a genuine love with everyone.
The relationship between idols and fans; and Ai specifically with her fans, has always been one the most interesting aspects of the series for me. Most often, Oshi no Ko focuses on the negative aspect of being an idol, Ai has to travel disguised for her safety, she’s labeled a whore for seeing a former classmate, she’s objectified and dehumanized at a developing age by people unaware and indifferent to her own needs and wants.
But that’s not all there is to being an idol, and that’s not all it was for Ai either. The joy Ai got from the impact her presence had on her fans is significant, enough to pull her out of a spiraling depression caused by the bullying. Ai is someone who’s touched so many people’s lives, like Gorou and Sarina, and strived to do so.
It’s especially interesting in light of where we currently are in the manga, where the present voice of the film is that the idol industry is the root of Ai’s suffering, when I think she never felt that way at all. Of course she did suffer in the industry, but that wasn’t her main takeaway or even something I think she gave much significance to at all.
I won’t go on another tangent about the significance of the twins’ complicated perspectives of their mother’s fame today though, they weren’t even in this chapter.
In summary, a great read. I’ll have to check the pictures to see if we know who these new group members were (and also try and figure out the timeline of these group members. 7 after 3 months?? Didn’t they start with 5?)

Arcana Twilight Newbie Guide
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
NOTE: The things I'll write here are not from my experience. I'm purely compiling tips I've searched in the internet so it could help me (and probably you) in the game. Think of it as my game notes or something like that.
Tumblr media
When starting an account
You get a free 10-pull in the tutorial. There's a chance for you to get SSR card from it, which is the current highest rarity card in game. It is advised to reroll your account if you didn't get any SSR card from that 10-pull.
To reroll account:
Start the game with a guest account
Finish the tutorial and do the 10-pull, if you got the SSR card of the character you like, you could stop here.
Click on the button with three lines at upper right corner
Setting
Customer Support
Delete Account
Restart the game
Tumblr media
All about SSR cards
Collecting SSR card is the endgame goal to have. SR cards could work for early game, but would need to be replaced once harder content comes in game.
There are two types of cards needed to create a team - sorcerer cards and wish cards. Sorcerer cards can be obtained from Constellation room in Scout, while Wish cards from Wish room. Constellation room and Wish room are considered standard banners in game.
NOTE: You can't have 2 cards (be it sorcerer cards or wish cards) of the same character in 1 team. You need to have varying characters for each attribute.
There are several ways to get SSR cards:
a. Pull from Constellation and Wish rooms with crystals or magic tickets. (Scout > Constellation/Wish)
b. Pull in Possession Room with 27000 gold. This gives at least 1 SSR card shard per 10-pull (not guaranteed tho). (Scout > Possession)
c. You could grind the SSR card shards in hard stages. The hard stage is called "Twilight mode" in game. (But the catch here is that the shard drop rate is too low. One player tried to grind for one Alpheratz SSR card but it took her 7 months to complete it.)
d. Buying the SSR card shards from shop using 15 or 135 unicorns. (Shop > Exchange shop > Piece of card)
e. Pull from limited event banners with crystals or magic tickets. SSR card shard pity varies according to event banner (e.g. 200, 250, and 300 are the pities from previous event banners). The pity or total summons could be seen in "View Details" button above the "Scout 10 times" button.
** It is advised to save up the crystals for the limited-time event banners.
f. Buying the SSR card shards from the Seasonal Event Shop (Shop > Seasonal Event Exchange Shop > Card Piece). To obtain the currency for this limited-time shop, you must complete the "Seasonal Event Missions".
** One card shard costs 60 event currency each, which means you need 3600 event currency in total. But currently, there is only a total of 2280 event currency in the Seasonal Event Missions, which means you can't buy all 60 shards...
** I can't find more info about the details on event banners. Might update this part later on when I actually experience how the event is done in this game.
NOTE: You need 60 shards and 40,000 gold to form a single SSR card.
Tumblr media
Summon of Sorcerer (SOS)
Every time you manual battle the stage, a character would appear in SOS after the battle, regardless if you 3-star or 2-star the stage, and if you got their touch interactions right, you'll get either 1000 gold or 10 MP. There is no cap with the SOS rewards.
Preferred touch actions after battles (SOS):
Alpheratz: Ignore three times
Arcturus and Pollux: Stroke head/face three times
Sirius, Spica, and Vega: tap shoulder three times
** More interaction options here.
There are several ways to obtain gift items for characters during SOS:
can be bought in Contell shop, but availability is random, costs 12,000 gold
can be bought in Shop > Items > Present, costs either 30 or 270 gems
can be bought in Shop > Exchange shop > Present, costs unicorns
by unlocking the first gift node of SSR and SR wish card
by pulling in Possession room in Scout
Tumblr media
All about Crystals/Gems
Crystals are premium currency used in game and can be bought using real money.
From one-time crystal sources [free]:
Main story normal mode and twilight mode. Each battle stage gives 50 crystals.
Missions > Sorcerer Mission
Missions > Beginners Event
From recurring gem sources [free]:
Mission > Daily Mission (50 crystals daily)
From Arcana Club [paid]: (Shop > Arcana Club)
2750 crystals when you buy it
total of 2250 crystals over the course of 28 days
NOTE: All R sorcerer cards have first 2 gift space in Milky Way that rewards crystals (70 crystals in total). Worth upgrading those nodes.
Tumblr media
All about Magic Tickets
Magic Tickets are used to pull in Constellation and Wish rooms. These can also be used in limited-time event banners.
Buy the discounted 10 magic tickets in shop. A 10-pull costs 2700 gems in Scout, but it is only 2220 gems in Shop. Refreshes every month. (Shop > Items > Scout)
NOTE: All SSR and R Wish cards have magic ticket as the last gift space in Milky Way. Worth upgrading those nodes.
Tumblr media
All about Gold
Gold is used to upgrade card levels, to unlock nodes in Milky Way, to buy items in Contell shop, and to pull in Possession Room in Scout.
Different ways to obtain gold:
doing the highest floor stages in battle x3 you have unlocked and opting to watch ad to double the reward
doing the highest floor stages in manual battle for a chance to get 1000 gold from SOS
sending the characters in "Visit"
watching ads from "FREE! +2000 Gold" button
watching ads to make Visits quicker (1 ad = 10 min reduced) and doubling the rewards
watching ads in Contell Shop, but the availability is random
Tumblr media
All about Unicorn
Unicorn is used to exchange items in the Exchange shop. (Shop > Exchange)
Different ways to obtain unicorn:
You could get unicorn by pulling in Possession room with 27000 gold. Doing daily 10-pull can give you SSR card shards and levels up the SR, R, and N cards in your roster. Once you have maxed out the skill level of SR, R, and N cards, when you pull those same cards again, it would convert it into unicorn.
Another source of unicorn is from gift nodes in Milky Way of SSR and SR cards, not R cards.
Tumblr media
All about Keys
Keys are used for unlocking premium chats and messages.
Ways to obtain keys:
unlocking the level cap nodes of sorcerer and wish cards, any rarity works
giving a gift to a sorcerer during SOS for daily mission
first gift node of N wish card
second to last box on SSR wish card gives 2 keys
Tumblr media
All about Milky Way materials
Milky way materials are the items needed to unlock the nodes in Milky Way.
Several ways to obtain the said materials:
by farming the normal mode and twilight mode stages that drops the needed materials
by watching ads and buying with gold in Contell Shop
by sending the sorcerers in Visit
** u/Jeschalen from Reddit shared a spreadsheet that tracks the Milky Way materials in normal mode and twilight mode. Link can be found here.
Tumblr media
Miscellaneous information
"1 star picking from Milky Way" in Beginners Event in Mission means unlocking the last node in Milky Way. The purple node with star and has "picking star" subtext.
In Constellations and Wish tabs under Scout, if you look at "View details", you'll see the Scout completion reward. By clicking on "Reward Renewal", you could refresh the summon rewards if you don't like the card rewards without losing your progress. Even after passing the rewards you don't have to claim the pieces right away, you can still change it, but you won't be able to claim the next reward marker until you claim the first one. Refresh is free every 24 hours.
You can get gifts up to 3 times on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at certain times. For more info, you could check it out here.
SR wish cards give amplifier stones in gift nodes.
Tumblr media
All about Main Story Affection Gain
An otome game player and blogger named Nakimushi has compiled a list of chapter dialogue options that give affection gain on sorcerers. Link for Chapter 1 (Part 1) can be found here. The other chapters can be found in a link in the sources below.
Tumblr media
All about Card Mechanic
It is worth noting that some card skills have faster charging time (i.e. decode, shield deployment, and skill power up). Use these kinds of cards because the enemy could freeze, put you to sleep, or drain your skill gauge. The card mechanic is further explained here.
Tumblr media
All about MP
MP is used to do battle stage. Without it, you can't really do anything in the game, besides watching ads while waiting for MP to replenish. It takes about 5-minutes for 1 MP to regenerate.
There are other sources of MP as well if you are in a pinch:
SR sorcerer cards give 100 MP in the first gift node.
You get occasional 50 MP in mail, but it depends on weekend event.
Doing the battle stage manually and getting the SOS interactions right could give you 10 MP.

I caught back up to Re:Zero!!!
BASICALLY, (as I will include Arc 7 and 8 since they kinda just go hand in hand- although it was reasonably split up with how long it was) ANYWAYS- Arc 7 was one the most flawwed thing I have EVER read, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Although there were flaws, I won't even get into then BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY GOOD MOMENTS!!!! I really liked Subaru's horrifying death loop in Chaos Flame, especially the entire Natsumi Schwarz segment in Arc 7! Also, when Subaru met back up with everyone I WAS SO EXCITED.
In regards to Arc 8, at so far only 58 chapters it's AWESOME. I loved the named chapters for Todd, not to mention the entire beginning to the arc. I was also really excited to see a bunch of the stuff from EX 5 really come into the main story!! I loved seeing Roswaal come over and fight with everyone (as it IS rare to see him fight AT ALL)
And finally, the climax that is the current state of Arc 8 has the craziest shit ever and I LOVE it. I really loved seeing these odd pairs work together, and seeing Betty and Subaru teaming up against Sphinx (also, in regards to Sphinx-- I REMEMBER THE SIDE STORIES ABOUT THIS CHARACTER AND I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THE INTRODUCTION RAHHH) I really liked the talk with Rem and Ram, as well as with Subaru and the renaming to Spica. I also found it really interesting to find out that Cecilus and Reinhard are basically cousins ???? ALSO I MIGHT BE FREAKING OUT BUT LIKE-- I absolutely HATE Heinkel. Not because he's an inherently bad person, because he isn't. I just really like Reinhard so it upsets me (knowing that he chooses to treat his own son that way) anyways, tiss a beautiful arc, especially elevated by Otsuka's illustrations for these last few volumes!!!
Finally, the entirety of chapter 58 + The Interlude were amazing. Seeing Subaru and Abel's interactions, Subaru declare that he'll beat Sphinx, especially Spica and Subaru successful breaking free of her grasp and Abel getting the Yang Sword (the illustration for this IS SO PRETTY)
Thank you for reading my rant. I really do love this series. 🧡🧡

Settle down guys, for some Arcana Twilight x Pokemon headcanons:
-It would be a game sureounding Jirachi, the Wish Pokemon. Since this pokemon is associated with the stars/night. Jirachi only awakens once every 1.000 years for only a single week, granting wishes to those it sympathizes with.
-The Antagonist team would try to force Jirachi to wake up before its ready, using its wishes for only themselves. This corrupts Jirachi, making it evil and causing disaster.
Arcturus would in this case be a rival, who starts out weak. Doesn't even get a proper starter pokemon. But he was raised on a pokemon farm, so he already has Skiddo, Mareep and a Miltank at hand!
Pollux on the other hand did get a Starter, but it keeps getting kidnapped by the local villains. Poor little Sobble had to evolve and free itself while Pollux tried getting it back. Also has a shiny Absol, which he gave the nickname "Apple."
Alpheratz and Spica are gym leaders, in the same damn town. They keep arguing about the town not being big enough for two leaders, which keeps escalating into fights between them. The order in which you can fight them is determined by whether you play Pokemon Wish or Pokemon Miracle. Spica focuses on either Fairy or Steel, while Alpheratz has normal types, including Letharking and Snorlax.
Vega was stuck in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon universe for a while, causing him to sometimes talk stuff no one else understands. He often teams up with the MC trainer to fight gainst the antagonists. Mostly ice types. His Frosmoth likes clinging to his back like a bag.
Sirius just keeps appearing EVERYWHERE and he chooses a different role every time. He is the professor, he is a trainer for Spica's gym complaining about never being able to become strong, he is in the Elite 4, he was with the antagonists. His team is different in every battle. You only know that he doesn't discard his pokemon when you chat with an NPC in the pokemon daycare, who says: "We were on the brink of debt, but this strange guy comes by every few days with money and a few pokemon. Most of the pokemon you see are his, actually."

Okay so........We've got a fuck ton to unpack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that the principal himself bothered to gift us this, a bedroom so close to the lobby AND enroll us before we even gained consciousness is.... Kinda sus...
.... I whole heartedly think that Alpheratz is the principal's grandson or something.
The chats are proof, they talk too casually with each other to not be related or close.
And it seems that Alpheratz highkey dislikes the principal.
Also, who the fuck is this?
Tumblr media
And here are some things I really wanna say about Vega.
Firstly..... He's from Mid Earthiem(earth)..... Now.... You must be expecting for him and the MC to be buddies right? WRONG
FUCKING WRONG!!
He doesn't want us to be involved in anything related to the academy and at first seems to be trying to throw us into the streets.
He doesn't want anything to do with us. NOTHING!!
At some point it even came off as him being jealous that he is no longer the only sorcerer from Mid Earthiem and that he is no longer the center of attention.
And he's really offensive and rude at the beginning but..... Kinda.... Seems to be warming up? I think?
Idk. He confuses me.
But there is one thing that gives me hope.

What if we are his long lost friend?
That's all I have to say about him....
Now about the banquet incident.
Tumblr media
Context: There is this banquet they were holding to welcome the freshmen called...... Raining flowers? Or something? I don't remember.
So this year the Fili Pfepers and Queen Tets were the ones responsible for arrangements.
Arcturus being the ever diligent and sweet fellow he is, was looking really forward to it.
But as he left the banquet to fetch somethings he forgot, he walked in on Spica and Sirius having a serious and secret conversation.
Halfway through the end of said convo, the MC came searching for him and they both listened to snippets of the convo.... Before Sirius loudly declared his awareness of their presence.
After Sirius was done with Arcturus, he went straight to get the things he needed and walked in on a Vega who was ready to whoop ass.
After a while they found out it was just Sirius being his sneaky self.
After that they all went to the banquet, things were chill for a while before our boi Arcturus coughed out blood.
According to Pollux, someone gave him a bottle of cranberry juice claiming it was from the east boundary... And he doesn't remember their face....
Now.... The first person I could think of to do this is.....SIRIUS OBVIOUSLY.... But...
What if Pollux is lying? But that seems unlikely cause he seemed deeply worried....
What if Spica ordered Sirius or someone to do it? Most likely Sirius cause he can shape shift easily.
Honestly.... I slightly distrust Spica after hearing that he forced others to join the guide committee. But...... He seemed to rather care....
I honestly really wanna know what he and Sirius were talking about.
Update: The culprits were the sorcerers of THE VOID.
Context: they are dark sorcerers who do harm to people, release monsters and are just bad in general. We don't have much info about them yet cause they're apparently top secret and they're after the MC and Alpheratz thinks it's because so that they can have a summoner on the team to easily summon monsters from outside the rift.
Next part.

Surpriiiiiise! The English TL of chapter 1 of Spica, The First Star has just been released!
I've been quietly working on this with the rest of the TL team for the past few weeks and we're finally done with chapter 1! Progress is being made on the rest of the novel and while we don't have an ETA, we're hoping to get them done soon!
For those of you not caught up on what Spica is or who are just hearing about it for the first time, here's a rundown!
Spica, the First Star is a single volume light novel that serves as an optional prequel to the main story. It contains a reprint of Viewpoint B, written by Akasaka and a new pair of parallel stories focusing on Goro & Sarina and Ai & Ichigo.
These new stories were not written by Akasaka or Mengo! They were written instead by an author called Hajime Tanaka who is new to the franchise.
It's not super clear how much Akasaka and Mengo contributed to the book - both of them simply have a 'gensaku' (原作) credit, which typically refers to the creator of a spinoff/secondary work's main story. We don't know how much either of them actually contributed to the contents of the book (though Mengo obviously did the art!) but my best guess is that Akasaka gave a rough idea of what the book should be about and the actual plot and details were Tanaka's work - that's typically how it goes in this situations, as far as I know!
As for whether it's canon, the answer is yyyyess... mostly. This has always been the case for spinoff stories like this and Viewpoint B, which the novel is bundled with, is absolutely canon. However, Spica does contain a handful of inconsistencies with main story chapters published both before and after the novel's release and as mentioned before, was written by an author who is not Akasaka or Mengo. I've basically just settled on calling it 'schrodinger's canon' in my head and in places where it seems to contradict the manga or the other side stories, I take Akasaka's and/or Mengo's word as canon over Tanaka's.
Basically, Spica is just some optional supplementary material that fleshes out the world a bit more. I would not say it's as important to read as Viewpoint B or especially 45510 just yet but it's a bit of extra content that you can read and enjoy but isn't 100% necessary to be keyed in with. That's just my onion anyway and I do hope you enjoy our work on the TL!
