Only 8k points this week, no Master Mode at Bertha's fight. I delayed it because I had a grandmaster plan against her, but turns out it didn't work.

Rambling under the cut as always.

Flint: When I learned that Cynthia's fight had permanent Sandstorm, it would be such a missed opportunity not to use Ingo there, so Emmet had to handle Flint's stage without his older twin. This was also part of my attempt to run OG Emmet without OG Ingo, should situation like this where Ingo was needed in other stage would occur.

Turns out, Emmet still did extremely well even without Ingo. Yes, running Subway Bros together would make the fight 10x easier, they could even duo almost any stages and won. But running them together was not a necessity at all. Emmet could stand on his own, he just needed someone who could manage his gauge needs, Potions to preserve Healthy Strength 5, and +2 Crit, which was what Spring Burgh exactly offered. As for Sandstorm, good ol' Acerola was reliable as always. Since the paramter was Improved Sync Buff, Spring Burgh's EX cranked Emmet's damage a lot, and with Catalyst, Emmet didn't need to worry about gauges too much. The battle ended without a hitch! This team was amazing.

Lucian: This was such a fun team, since everyone in the team was at their bare minimum potential, yet they still won pre-sync. I did grid Classic Red with trainer move MPR, but that didn't even proc in the fight, meanwhile Fall Morty and SSR Cynthia was ungridded. Team Alert Mind helped in survivability, and that made me feel brave to pick up Half Health parameter. I was worried that Red wouldn't be able to survive in CSMM due to his stats, but I was worried too much, because he survived.

Fall Morty at 1/5 lacked multipliers on his sync, and since he had Mega Evolve, his sync power was further nerfed too. Classic Red's Supereffective Up Next really helped to make up the lack of damage multipliers. The team also only reached +4 Attack, but this team still could pre-sync the stage! I feel proud of this clear.

Bertha: I actually had the grandmaster plan of enabling Brainteaser Solgaleo with Lucian's help, but my sync orbs weren't enough, hence the CSMM weekly run delay, all so I could grab Brainteaser on grid. Turns out, it wasn't enough. Bertha was so strong, and so bulky, and had Head Start 1, that was the worst that could happen. In the end, I turned off Master Mode and capitalized on debuffs, but Solgaleo still struggled to pre-sync the stage.

I guess I really need SS Giovanni after all, huh?

Aaron: Oh, you know, the usual Fire-weak stage cheese. Aaron had Endure, and First Aid 2, and I picked up no status condition parameter, so the battle had to go post-sync, but it's okay because Evelyn was such a great defensive secondary tank that the team survived. I also ran DPS build on Anni N instead of the usual sync nuking one, so I sync-ed with SS Morty, SS Morty set up Sun and let Anni N dealt 12k damage per Blue Flare. SS Morty+Anni N was such a strong combination, and with Evelyn providing gradual heal, the team's survivability was guaranteed.

Cynthia: Thank goodness for a non-accuracy/evasion shenanigan at Cynthia fight, but gosh darn it Serena stop missing all crit of your sync! I guess I had to grid her with Soften Up, huh...?

Anyway, other than the fact that this stage took 3 resets because Serena kept missing crits, it wasn't too difficult. Since the Sandstorm was permanent, Ingo would be really, really hard to be taken down, even against Surging Sand-boosted attacks. Zinnia's Dragon Rush also hit fairly hard even though she relied only on Ingo's trainer move to buff, and Aggravation certainly helped. SS Serena just did what she's best at, and all three of the opposing team went down at the same time pre-sync. Thanks to Ingo's trainer move, SS Serena could spam her high gauge moves and Zinnia could also spam Dragon Rush without any worry, which was what Ingo is best at. Pretty good clear, and I like this team.

când eram mic, mă temeam de ploaie, de furtună. Cu timpul, m-am schimbat, nu mai fug de ploaie, ci fug spre ea, să o înțeleg, să-i simt răcoarea pe pielea încinsă de nostalgiile ce ard în mine. Mă regăsesc în tot haosul furtunii, iar vântul ce bate cu viteze catastrofale, parcă îmi poartă cu el sufletul și-l izbește de fiecare obstacol întâlnit. Nu mă mai tem, m-am obișnuit cu tot acest dezastru al ploii, încât a devenit o bucurie, lăsându-mi ființa să se dezvăluie fără ca nimeni să știe sau să înțeleagă ce fac.

Having some Amalgamation of Capital for Day 4 of Teamas. This shou Puerh was specially made for the January 2021 Tea Club via White2Tea and packed into a bamboo shoot.

I tried it when I first got it and then promptly forgot about it as it got buried in my tea cart.

I think the bamboo taste is even more pronounced as it's been untouched for almost 3 years. To me, I get a dense, woody taste, and I'm ok with that 😁
