DERECHOS A QUIEN CORRESPONDA. La construcción de la pirámide de la Luna inició alrededor del año 100 d. C. Se edificó en siete etapas diferentes, cada una erigida sobre la anterior.

Se realizaron sacrificios en tres de las etapas (4, 5 y 6), entre los años 200 y 350 d. C. Es posible que en el entierro más antiguo (A) se haya sepultado vivo a un ser humano.

En el Entierro B se encontraron los restos de 12 víctimas con los brazos atados; 10 de ellas habían sido decapitadas.

En el Entierro C se encontraron las cabezas de 14 lobos y 4 pumas, junto con los esqueletos de cuatro hombres.

En el Entierro E había tres extranjeros, muy ornamentados, de clase social alta, que fueron enterrados sentados.

Couple of weeks ago, we were fortunate to walk on the sacred grounds of the Aztecs in Teotihuacán. We were awestruck by the beauty, power and mysticity of these ruins from 600BCE. The beautiful Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon were symbols of the Aztecs knowledge of star charts and the working of the universe. It is astounding that modern day archeologists have only been able to unearth less than 10 percent of this ancient city and the rest is still hiding from us, with its own stories and nysteries. Teotihuacan is an ancient Mesoamerican city and an important archaeological site, famous for its Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon. This city located 30 miles (50 km) northeast of modern-day Mexico City. Teotihuacan was settled as early as 400 B.C. and became the most powerful and influential city in the region by 400 A.D.
