i’m in the process of getting my drivers license (i’m a little late since i’m 21 and most people in my country get theirs when they’re 18 :b) and i can’t help but think abt touya-nii teaching me how to drive in his stupidly fancy car. on that note, just out of curiosity, would touya prefer to drive a manual or an automatic car? also out of curiosity, although i mentioned him teaching me how to drive in his car, would he? or would he be like tomura and wouldn’t even let me NEAR his precious baby (not sure though maybe if i cried a little) anyways i hope you’re doing alright!!!! kisses<3<3

and when you complain that it’s dangerous, whine that you can’t concentrate with him hanging off of you, he scoffs and snorts and rolls his eyes—what? you thought your driving conditions would always be perfect? ideal? that you won’t have to deal with distractions? silly little thing, he’s only teaching you how to drive despite distractions; if anything, he’s doing you a favour, you should be grateful you have such a thoughtful, considerate big brother.

on how he drives: manual, always, and he’s absolutely insufferable about it (one of those types who believes those who drive manual are superior to those who drive automatic). poor natsuo decided to drive manual too, purely because his niisan does, and he knows touya-nii would look down on him if he didn’t (what? scared of a little work? don’t you want total control?), and he doesn’t ever want that.

also, ur absolutely right that tomura wouldn’t allow you behind the wheel of any of his precious babies, but he would have his outrageously rich daddy buy you and equally outrageous car to ‘learn on’. and don’t worry, he promises he’ll buy you something better the very instant you pass your exam ♡

Yazan is a big actions guy so if something is bothering her he’d want to take care of it and fix it immediately also kiki loves cuddles and cuddles she shall receive fjskakdjdk will literally do anything to make it better,, holding her, talking about it, dancing it out, ordering her favorite takeout (yazan talking about it is a mix him being sincere and dissing the shit out of the person/situation and I kinda love it djdjskdjdk) leaving kiki’s part for you because I wanna know 😌💗

We talked about yazan putting up the shelves that kiara got that have been sitting around since forever and that pretty much what it’s about 😂 he just does things for her, or does things so she doesn’t have to. Pre relationship or pre living together yazan would just go around her house and fix anything that needed fixing fjdksidjdk,, also a big part of why he doesn’t mind doing the chores. Unfortunately still not the best at it at least in a serious vulnerable context and she bottles up a lot BUT she would sit down with him and be like “can I tell you something homie to homie 😔” and even then she tries to to keep it from getting too deep even when it comes to expressing love she’s not one to get Too sentimental but will let him know she cares about him. But this is mostly when they’re still in the beginning of their relationship (honestly it might take her 2+ years of being like that 💀) but I will say the first time she lets herself cry in front of him…………..

PLEASE 😭 valen’s is that he used to keep a pet rat as a kid, everybody refused to acknowledge it because it wasn’t actually a pet it was some rat he found lurking in their gardens and deemed it his bestie and would check up on it every day fssksjdjdj and when the rat died gideon was the one that buried and held a funeral for it 😔

Gideon’s most prominent memory has to be valen punching his dad in a room full of people loll bc not only was it incredibly humiliating and an act of love towards his bestie but it was also the first time anyone really stood up to this bully of a man and he just got wrecked by a teenager fjskaksjdj it was great seeing him hunched over w a bleeding nose until he made a comment about the company his son keeps and then it was both boys vs the guards trying to tear them off him fjdksksjskdn

Sort of lol,, gideon struggles so much with his self image and thinks he’s broken and has nothing to offer or that letting ppl get to know him is essentially a burden on him and them so he just doesn’t make friends or meaningful relationships easily and valen over here just Fails to fathom it because to him gideon’s the most solid friend he’s ever had and literally nothing like all those things he says about himself and so he always makes it a point to let him know all the things he appreciates about him

Valen on the other hand thinks he’s the most interesting and amazing person anyone has the pleasure of knowing and that he’s worth it and because he’s set that expectation for himself any criticism from others or negative emotions from himself is shoved aside in favor of the facade and while gideon agrees he’s amazing and lowkey idolizes him lol he’s the only one actually capable of giving him a reality check that he’ll listen to and seeing him as just valen

I think originally, it was just gonna be snf or knf. but then when I was thinking about it, the idea of two people getting both sides of his ribcage so that every single bone is getting the attention it deserves????? it was waaaay too good to pass up. so it became a banter fic :D

I found some brainrot of this fic with cal, and we were literally laughing about how sapnap would never let george talk to karl with any type of attitude, and just kept talking about different ways that they could fuck up his ribs and make him scream. it was......truly something 🫠

also! I kept replaying this clip of george's laugh from banter (my favorite laugh of his ever to date) and kept imagining him laughing all cutely like this throughout the whole thing - besides when he was literally dying and screaming, of course :D

so like...long story short, there wasn't a huge reason this fic came to be, basically just knew I wanted to focus on a day for ribs for lee!george week and this is what happened!

the obvious answer is the pendant around his neck; a pendant containing a photo of eleanor and marlene. he sees it as his only connection to the two of them physically and would probably go completely off the deep end if somebody removed it from him. in the original ( and im carrying this over to my portrayal ) - him passing it to barret is massively important. it's his way of giving his blessing to barret to be marlene's father. it's also his way of saying to the other to not forget him, or what he was fighting for.

when dyne was with eleanor - he enjoyed her home cooking because damn, she was a good chef! she was amazing at cooking and really looked after her partner and child. he was always a fan of home-cooked, corel-native food. after everything and now alone - dyne eats whatever. he eats scraps, he hunts. he's the kind of man who would eat raw meat. man has no tastebuds; he just eats whatever keeps him sustained.

i imagine dyne was the sort to drink socially before everything went down. him and barret would share a drink after work - he's the kind of guy who'd always have a pint after a long day or alongside a meal. he's never been an excessive drinker but i certainly imagine had his binge drinking moments as a younger man. y'know, gettin' hairy with the lads - that kinda thing. nowadays, he does sometimes drink excessively - consuming entire bottles of whatever beverage he can find as a means of numbing himself but, i feel this is rare. he isn't an alcoholic by any means but sometimes goes overboard. generally, dyne relishes his pain - he harbours it and savours it. alchohol dampens that and in turn, actually makes him angrier / sadder.

🎸 - Can your muse play any instruments? Do they play them often, or rarely? How actually skilled are they at playing them?

dyne was once pretty good with an acoustic guitar. before everything happened, he'd sometimes play to eleanor ( in fact, he learned just to woo her! ) he was never the romantic type, more of a 'man's man' type but playing the guitar was something he did with the intention of impressing her and being romantic. after they had marlene, he'd sometimes sing to marlene, too. after everything - dyne, obviously, lost the ability to play the guitar as he once did. as for singing, he stopped. he can't speak without a croak in his voice, years of dust and cigarette have made his words, painful.

yes! he does! they aren’t anything super serious—like, he isn’t heartbroken over her or pining over her or in some sort of desperate love with her, but he absolutely feels romantic + sexual attraction toward her.

would he ever act on it?

he definitely does, although he isn’t as forward (or stark) as touya is. shouto is almost, in a way, subtly manipulative with his affections; kinda tricks reader into thinking it’s something she wants or is doing (whereas touya just takes without asking in any way at all, without any buttering up, melting n softening, or finessing. to touya, it is more fun to take by force and watch her face screw up in disgust or hear that indignant squeal that catches in her throat, sticky and squeaky). shouto mostly steals little kisses and soft touches—small things that he’s sure natsuo won’t necessarily miss.

how would natsuo + touya react?

natsuo doesn’t mind as long as it stays limited to just sweet lil kisses and cute lil touches (hand-holding, hugging, sitting on his lap, cuddling, walking arm n arm); fairly innocent stuff. if shouto wants to take it any further than that, he knows he needs to get natsuo’s explicit permission, and that’s fine with him. he definitely feels guilty wanting any more than what he already takes—both for his brother (he knows how much natsuo loves reader/how possessive he is over her, and although shouto knows about 80% of the time natsuo will share with him if he asks, he doesn’t want to overstep any boundaries or upset his brother, or take advantage of the doting and love natsuo has for shouto being the baby of the family and all that), and for reader (he doesn’t like putting her in that position and using her like a Todoroki Toy just passed around between the three of them)—so it’s very rare that he’ll push natsuo for anything other than hugs n kisses, but it does happen on seldom occasion. in those instances, he usually likes to frame it as something along the lines of comfort; touya was especially mean today, and poor little reader is so upset, and her sweet Daddy is so busy and nowhere to be found, and please, nii-san? let me make her feel better, let me take her mind off of it, yeah? promise i’ll be real gentle <3 (shouto likes to tell himself that he isn’t as scummy as his older brothers, but he is, just in a more manipulative and less straightforward way). touya, on the other hand, fucking hates that shouto’s allowed to touch her at all. he can’t wrap his head around why natsuo permits such a thing in the first place; it’s entirely inconceivable to him. the thought doesn’t only inspire sharp flashes of scalding anger, but a pervasive, inexplicable, and unfamiliar feeling of being upset, too, which is even more irritating, since touya can’t figure out—or, more appropriately, won’t admit to—why he’s feeling such a way, why shouto in particular makes him feel in such a way (it’s because touya cannot handle being second to shouto, ever, a feeling that stems from being thought of as inferior to him as a child—thus, he now feels as if he needs to beat him in every and all aspects of life to prove that he is worthy, that he is better).

I love that these characters feel so familiar and safe to me because I've known them for so long, yet there are still new things to discover and new stories to read all the time because the fandom is so creative and active!

I love that (at least this corner of) the fandom has decided to say fuck jkr & let's make them all queer as fuck because it's what these characters deserve!!

this was harder than I thought! I mean obviously Marlene & Dorcas because they only exist the way they do because of fandom. but idk if fandom has helped me appreciate them? Oh maybe Kingsley! I never really paid that much attention to him in canon but now that he's been a more fleshed out character in some of the fics I've read I've grown to really like him!

15. the character that always makes you smile

This was way too hard, because all the characters that make me smile a lot also make me cry a lot, so finding someone who ALWAYS makes me smile was such a challenge!! I've settled for McGonnagall bc she's iconic and I love her a very normal amount and do not have any weird feelings towards her whatsoever but she could totally step on me if she wanted to and I'd say thank you.

2: thoughts on veganism? i have had thoughts on veganism but my ultimate position is that it's not rlly my business BUT i do think it's something that can only really exist in a world that had an industrial revolution. but also sort of exists as a reaction to it as far as meat products go? it's ironic when people want to go deep with it and claim it's The Way To Be when biologically we are omnivores and therefore need to be very specific with our diets, using grocery store shelf options, if we want to cut out animal byproduct altogether. like i don't think you can be vegan living ~off the grid~ or in literally any survival situation lol. on the other hand a lot of people are vegan because it's the moral thing to be, as far as consumption habits go. you could argue that if you want to consume morally... well you really can't! ALBEIT in this case the focus is on animal cruelty in an industrial context, rather than a goal towards Overall "moral" consumption under capitalism and btw i'm not like, 'critical' of veganism (nor should anyone be because who give a shit. truly. it's just a personal dietary choice) there's just aspects of irony to the mostly fringe internet vegans i'm referring to. and people who attempt to guilt a general audience out of their current eating habits. (i also think there IS a moral way to consume animal byproduct-- like, for example, raising chickens in your backyard and harvesting their eggs... or buying eggs from someone else who raises them that way. not everything is buying from corporations operating thanks to inhumane chicken mills)

but i'd have to say like, this general pukey highlighter greenish yellow. OR extremely bright yellow on walls. im so sorry. yes colors look better next to others and im not trying to be a yellow hater i promise. my lockscreen is art with a (different) shade of yellow as the background

7. what animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium? omg well i'd have to say the octopus and jellyfish :) I LOVE JELLYFISH and just realized i had a dream about them last night. i get to see them in the gulf sometimes which if they are ouch kind is not so fun but we often get the ones without stingers. like moon jellyfish

30. free question: would you choose to be immortal? ahh yes the question with the most endless list of pros and cons! on one hand, i'd like to think i'd handle having to be permanently ambivalent (considering the extreme temporary state of everything that comes with being immortal). i'd be curious to see where humanity goes from here, but if things go to shit like a lot of us think it will then im stuck with that!!!! :( and ive got technical questions as well. like if something globally catastrophic happened and everyone Died would i be the only one left for, like, eternity...?? does it last for the entire life of the universe? i dont think ive ever heard anyone ask that before? like do i end up chilling in the vacuum of space watching the last brown dwarf die off at the end of the universe?? so. all that said my answer is no i think. unless i get to sleep for a veryyyy long time like how a vampire does. but probably not so no </3

A lil while go you wrote about Deme and Munk's feelings during Misto's song. Would you maybe like to tell about the aftermath of that?

It was a masterclass in 'hiding your feelings' fr. Deme was shaken by seeing Macavity again, by how callously he'd handled her, the anger in his eyes, the way he'd attacked Munkustrap and their consequent fight. She felt guilty and afraid and sick to her stomach and just Not Good about the entire situation, and then Munkustrap was feeling his injuries, tried to ignore the way they hurt because there was a more important matter at hand, trying to find Old Deut, trying to make sure everyone was safe and keeping an eye out for Mac's return (though a return so soon was doubtful.)

Basically they were both paranoid and somewhat overwhelmed but couldn't show it. Munk's leader for all intents and purposes, other cats look to him, so he has to stay calm for their sake. And Demeter doesn't want to attract more attention/cause more of a stir than she already has. Tugger and Misto try valiantly to keep morale up, insist they can solve this problem, so Munk is more than happy to give them the driver's seat for a moment while Munk and Deme sit in the back and try to keep it together. And they do bring Old Deut back which is SUCH a relief.

But there's still not really time to check on each other, to decompress, until the END of the night. Because after Deut comes back Grizabella sings, and then ascends, and that in itself is such an emotional thing, especially for Munkustrap. She's his mother, even if she was absent most of his life/he's not close to her. He learns to forgive her and let go of her, and it's a really bittersweet thing, because he's thought about the idea of her for a long time. He puts on a brave face as cats start bidding each other goodbye and the ball ends. It isn't until most of the cats have cleared out that he and Demeter pull each other aside and inspect each other, breathe together, and let their emotions out. I would give more detail in that aspect but kin life demands I guard my husband's secrets instead of exposing his vulnerability so it's shhhhh 🤫

I will say there were many tears though, from both parties. It was a very heavy night. And Munk was in bad shape physically for another two or so days. And they had to chat with Jemima about everything that happened, answer her curious questions as best they could while avoiding the unfortunate truth of the matter(neither were quite ready to tell Jem that Mac was her biological father but Jem is a smart girl, even without them saying anything she...she understood.) so it was just. A Lot of stress lol. The three of them slept curled up tightly after the ball, everyone feeling on edge and drained.
