I'm absolutely in love with your fics, I saw requests were open and I had to pop in! If it's not a problem, could you write a little scenario in which Kazuha knows s/o is crushing on him? Maybe s/o isn't aware of their own feelings yet but they dote on Kazuha like crazy and that makes him so 🥺

note: ana you are so amazing and i'm so sorry it took me way too long to fulfill your request. i’m so honored that you took time to send me an ask and i hope you enjoy 🥹
You’ve known the familiar saltiness of the ocean breeze for as long as you can remember. All your life you’ve been at sea as the doctor of the famous Crux fleet. Even now, the splashing of the waves against the sides of the docked ships fills your ears with their gentle greeting and calms your aching body.
Your eyes slip closed as you take in the scent of the sea, and try to steer yourself away from focusing on the alcohol rushing through your veins. For being part of the crew of a famous pirate captain known for her love of alcohol, your tolerance is embarrassingly low.
Beidou, leader of the legendary Crux fleet, is a household name admired by many, including yourself. You’ve always longed to be as courageous and bold as she is. Yet, you’re seemingly cursed with your shy and soft-spoken personality, unable to emerge from your shell.
You’re reminded of this again as roars of laughter sound from below the crow’s nest in which you perch, your fellow crew mates celebrating another successful arrival at Liyue Harbor. If you had a single social bone in your body, you would have a half a mind to party right along with them. After all, the fleet had recently returned from Inazuma, and although it would kill half the crew to admit it, many were afraid that they wouldn’t be making it back because of the current condition of the nation.
Inazuma.
While just as strict and frightening that the rumors made it out to be, the trip had not been entirely fruitless, especially for you.
After all, that’s where you ended up meeting him.
Kaedehara Kazuha.
A young man from Inazuma that Beidou allowed onto her ships, a runaway from the wrath of the Almighty Shogun. Mild and tranquil, gentle and calm, yet his strength and will could not be disregarded even by the most ignorant of fools. You had seen his blade in battle, and witnessed the mercilessness even a kind man like him could display.
Your closed eyes tighten, and so does your heart. You want to blame the alcohol you had poured down your throat for the ache in your chest at the thought of him, and yet, you know it’s futile. He had not only shown you kindness like he had everyone else, but also genuine interest and compassion. He had paid you what your foolish self had interpreted as special attention, offering to assist in the hospital wing, inviting you to sit with him on the deck to watch the stars, bringing you meals when you were preoccupied by your work—although you’ve only spent a few short months with him, you’ve already grown attached to him.
You had convinced yourself to be fine with living in the shadows; you have come to terms with the fact. You didn’t mind living your life with no permanent company, content with yourself and the view of the ocean. And yet, when Kazuha had conversed with you with such tenderness in his eyes, how could your heart not be stirred after being neglected for so long?
You can’t exactly describe what you feel for him, only that you long to be by his side. He’s almost magnetic to you; you’re drawn to him like a moth to a flame. You don’t know if you’ve ever felt this way for anyone—although you don’t know the word for it, it’s been consuming you.
You briefly wish you could have another drink.
You don’t typically consume alcohol, hence your pathetic status as a lightweight. Yet, a few hours ago, something deep inside you shattered when, while attempting to search for Kazuha, you heard a few rumors flitting about within the crew. Apparently, Kazuha planned to leave the crew and stay in Liyue for the time being, at least until the political problems in Inazuma had been quelled to some extent.
You were so pathetically devastated; you know Kazuha has been a wandering warrior for a long time now, so it made sense for him to not want to be tied down for too long. However, logical thinking couldn’t erase the pang in your chest, and before you knew it, you were struggling to keep your eyes open, thoughts muddled and limbs heavy.
You felt foolish for ever thinking you would truly be alright with being alone. After he came along, your whole world had changed – and if he was truly about to leave you, everything would change once more. This time, you don’t know if you could lie to yourself about your loneliness, not with the hole in your heart that had already started to form.
You had barely been able to climb up to the crow’s nest in your intoxicated state, but you managed to do so without hurting yourself. You often came up there in the dead of night when everyone was asleep. For many years, it was only yourself sitting up there, staring at the sky. Whether it was starry or foggy or rainy, having a moment of peace on your own always brought you comfort.
Despite your intentions of moping in your feelings by yourself, you’re not alone. Perhaps if you weren’t so intoxicated, you would have noticed the very man on your mind watching you from just below you on the deck. Kazuha’s scarlet eyes are gentle as they gaze upon your small form curled up in the crow’s nest, a fond smile tugging at his lips as he watches you.
You’re simply exquisite, moonlight bathing you in a heavenly glow as stars twinkle merrily behind you. You’re facing away from him, but he can happily imagine your pretty face admiring the twinkling night sky. He had gone into Liyue Harbor to buy you rice buns, which you had mentioned several times to be your favorite food. You often spoke about how much you missed food from your home nation, especially this one particular treat, so Kazuha had wanted to surprise you.
You deserve this, and so much more. You hardly ever get to rest, always tending to the injured and weak without complaint. You’re careful and tender with your hands, strong and capable with your knowledge, and kind and humble with your heart.
He’d been imagining the beautiful delight that he hoped would overtake your features, radiating the most gorgeous form of joy that he had only felt from the warmth of your smile. You would direct this pure happiness only at him, pretty eyes sparkling. Kazuha considered himself a lucky man to have been able to see this expression of yours, as you were characterized as quite indifferent by the rest of the crew.
The more selfish part of him basks in the idea that he has been the only to see your true happiness, and to a greater extent, been the source of it. He knows the effect he has on you; your stuttered words and averted gazes never did much to hide your feelings. Nor did the way you dote on him even when he isn’t badly injured, tending to his wounds with feather-light touches and soft words of reassurance.
Kazuha knows all this, but remains careful – any wrong move could drive you away, so he moves slowly, inconspicuously. He couldn’t make his intentions clear from the start, or knowing you, you may have become overwhelmed.
This never stopped him, however, from staying close to you and reveling in the way you showed your affections for him, even in the small and unintentional ways.
He’s not as amiable and kind as you might think; he doesn’t spend time with you because he pities you. Although he puts up an easygoing, polite persona with everyone around him, he always knows exactly what he wants, and isn’t afraid to pursue it. Kazuha simply can’t get enough of you, the same way he knows you can’t get enough of him.
Tonight, he’s decided to make it clear, once and for all, that he loves you just as much as you love him.
Kazuha deftly climbs up the crow’s nest, steps light and quick so as to not disturb or startle you. When he reaches the top, he calls out to you. “May I join you?” Unnaturally slow, you turn your head to meet his gaze, and – have you been crying?
“Kazuha.” You croak his name softly, a fresh wave of sadness seemingly washing over you as you register his presence. Kazuha wastes no time in rushing to comfort you, face pulled into an uncharacteristic display of panicked concern.
“What happened?” His voice is still composed and calm, but his heart is hurting, aching, at the sight of you in distress. You don’t say anything in response, only staring blankly right at him. Several wine bottles are scattered around you; it’s not difficult to deduce that you were intoxicated, and severely so.
What had made you, who typically avoided alcohol like the plague, end up like this?
Before he could continue trying to coax an answer from you, you suddenly raise one hand, reaching over to poke at his chest with your index finger, hard. Your sad expression morphs into one of frustration instead, eyebrows furrowing as you try to form a coherent thought.
“Y-You.” One word. You curl your fingers into the front of his haori. Kazuha raises his eyebrows, confused by both your reply and sudden boldness. You had never attempted to touch him besides when you were healing him, despite all of the time you’d spent together.
“Me?” Kazuha starts to worry; had he done something truly unforgivable to upset you? While he himself can’t remember any action that could’ve made you act like this, it very well could’ve been unintentional and yet warranted an apology all the same. You don’t speak for another few moments, keeping your grip on his clothing as you stare down at your lap, seemingly having lost some of your nerve.
“I-Is your arm a-alright?” Your eyes dart toward where his wound is wrapped by thick cloth, done by your own hand only hours earlier. You had tears stinging your eyes while tending to his injuries, something that never happens. After years of dealing with medical emergencies, nothing fazes you anymore—nothing, apparently, except seeing Kazuha wince slightly in pain even when you do your best to be gentle.
“Of course.” Kazuha smiles softly at you. “All thanks to you.” You’re quiet again, as if slowly digesting his words. You shift on your feet, fingers still gripping his clothes.
“...D-Don’t leave me.” Your voice comes out small. Your lip quivers. Kazuha’s heart drops into his stomach.
“Leave you?” he repeats your words quietly, in disbelief.
“Don’t.” Another few tears trip down your face. He calls your name softly, and in response, you finally lift your head to look at him again.
“Where did you hear that I would leave you?” he asks, gently taking your now unfurled hand that was still resting on his chest.
“They s-said you were s-staying in L-Liyue.” You hiccup, the hand encased in his own curling into a fist.
Kazuha pauses, finally starting to understand the situation. It was true that some time ago, he had planned to wander Liyue until he would be allowed back in Inazuma peacefully. He remembers saying so in response to several crew members asking how long he would be staying with the Crux fleet. This would’ve been the plan, if not for the defining factor that ultimately swayed his decision to remain on the ship for longer.
“Staying? I’m only visiting.” Kazuha smiles gently, revealing the bag full of rice buns and placing it in front of you. “For this.” For you.
Your eyes brighten a little at the familiar scent and sight of your favorite food. Your vision clears a little as Kazuha wipes at your tears with a careful brush of his fingers. Your mouth runs dry, completely forgetting about the rice buns you had been missing for months as you take in the sight of him.
His light hair is blessed with a soft glow from the moon, his kind scarlet eyes glittering with concern and yet a hint of… amusement? Is this even real? Is he really not going to leave? The horrible, fleeting thought that this might be an extensive figment of your imagination crosses your mind.
Kazuha continues to smile tenderly at you, thumb drawing soothing patterns across the apple of your cheek. Your heart starts beating faster, unable to contain the emotions bubbling up inside of you any longer –
You don’t know if you can completely blame the alcohol for the way you collapse into his arms, and he catches your weight as if you were a feather, holding you against him with ease. Kazuha squeezes your hand, still firmly held in his, as if to reassure you that he wouldn’t let you fall. You should be embarrassed, mortified, even, but you can’t bring yourself to care – not when you’re finally, finally as close to him as you’d always wanted to be.
Kazuha’s free hand brushes along the back of your neck, sending goosebumps trailing up your skin. He gently brings your head down to rest right over his racing heart. “Can you hear that?” he hums. “This is how you make me feel.” You sniffle, on the verge of tears once more – you’d been searching for what you feel for him, for so long. As Kazuha cradles you against his chest, even your intoxicated self slowly comes to realization.
Kazuha strokes the top of your head, allowing you to continue listening to the rapid pace of his heartbeat. Everything is perfect – his compassion, his patience, his warmth, him. You have never been more certain that in this moment that you really, truly –
“Love you.” The words leave you steady and clear, not a hint of a tipsy slur like everything else you had said to him that night. You’re not even nervous that you might’ve just humiliated yourself; not with the way he held you tighter, communicating without a lack of doubt that –
“I love you, too.” His voice was little more than a whisper, but that was sufficient – no, so much more than enough, for you.
“Please.” You lift your head, still heavy with alcohol, off his chest to meet his gaze. “Please, k-kiss me.” With all of your heart and soul, you expect, hope, want him to lean down and grant your wish, but he simply gives you a soft smile.
“Not like this, my love.”
Kazuha hopes you don’t get him wrong – he wants to kiss you, desperately. He has wanted, for months, nothing more than to feel the sensation of your undoubtedly soft lips against yours, moving in flawless synchronization and doing nothing to quell the desire in his heart, but rather, fuel it.
“P-Please,” you stutter again, with more urgency this time. Somewhere in the back of your frazzled mind, you know he’s right; it would be wrong of him to take advantage of your inebriated state. But you want it, want him. You’ve always considered yourself a rather content person, accepting of what you had and never chasing after more, but for him, you’d keep running for the rest of your life.
Slowly, torturously, Kazuha leans down, and you close your eyes in anticipation – only to feel his lips on your forehead. You open your eyes to see that he has already drawn his face away from yours, one of his hands bringing your head forward against his chest once more.
Kazuha smooths the distressed crinkle that forms between your brows as you realize that he won’t be kissing you tonight. “Don’t worry. There won’t be a need to ask again once you’ve recovered.” His lips curl into a rather cheeky, boyish grin. Your face heats up and your stomach twists into a knot – not the anxious, unpleasant kind, but one of deep yearning.
“Stay w-with me, p-please.” You whisper this as a prayer to Celestia, to him, before you let yourself finally succumb to the wine-indueced sleepiness that had been threatening to overtake you for far too long. As Kazuha rubs soothing circles along your back to ease you into a deep sleep, you feel what you’ve experienced with him and him only – safe, cared for, cherished.
-
The next morning, you wake up to the squawking of seagulls as well as the crash of the morning tide against the wooden planks of the Alcor. Warm sunlight is already filtering in through a thin layer of clouds, accompanied by a gentle breeze that sweeps through the sails. A pounding headache has settled in your temples, along with an incredibly unpleasant parched feeling in your throat.
The memories of last night come flooding back much faster than you would’ve liked, hitting you all at once and making you outwardly recoil at how you had – oh, my, Kazuha is –
You realize just then you’re still in his arms, his haori wrapped around the two of you for warmth. He’s fast asleep, his snoring quiet and rhythmic.
It was all real.
The gasp that you let out immediately awakens Kazuha; he’s always been a light sleeper. His scarlet eyes snap open abruptly, instinctively scanning the premises for danger before focusing on you. “Are you feeling alright?”
Your face is burning with embarrassment and you’re tripping over your words, feeling guilty for waking him up and trying to ask him to go back to sleep. After a few moments of nonsensical babbling, all you can say is, “The rice buns – “ You never forget to finish your sentence, as Kazuha silences you by placing one of his hands – large, rough and calloused from years of combat yet still so gentle – on your cheek, thumb swiping across your lips. A silent request.
You hardly have time to nod before he pulls you against him in one fluid motion, finally allowing his lips to clash with yours. He kisses you long and deep, with passion and longing lacing every small movement of his mouth against yours. If you had any worries about his feelings not being as intense as your own, they were promptly quashed by the way he greedily swallowed every breath, every noise that threatened to leave you.
When he finally pulls away, you feel like your heart is about to leap from your chest and fly far, far away. Kazuha is smiling, looking at you with something that can only be described as pure, unadulterated adoration burning in his scarlet gaze.
This alone was a declaration. Calm yet firm, and leaving absolutely no room for doubt – that he loves you.

BEIDOU
The moment Beidou spied you lingering on a beach, basking in the sun and enjoying the water lapping at your feet, she instantly felt a connection to you, being reminded of how she did the same thing whenever she had a quiet time in between her duties as the Alcor's captain. You were nothing but a distant figure at first, one she wanted to meet in order to make a new friend.
As she came closer, her heart burst with joy at seeing that it was you. The Creator, the Almighty Being that often gave her crew calm waters with soft breezes, and kept sickness at bay.
Beidou let herself fall into the sand next to you, chuckling at your innocent wide eyes now staring at her in shock, before they broke out in a wide, happy grin.
"You're Beidou, right?", you inquired, hoping not to arouse any suspicion as to why you knew her name. You'd just arrived in the world of Teyvat a little while ago on the sandy beach of the Sea of Clouds, and you'd decided to enjoy the sight and peace. "Captain of the Alcor?"
Beidou knew you knew, but played along. She leaned forward, resting an elbow on her knee and her chin on her palm. "That is me. And who might you be, jewel?"
A blush started to rise in your cheeks, still in awe over the fact that you were talking to Beidou. You'd always appreciated not only her beauty, but her independence and strength, and her ability to make friends with anyone. You looked up to her, hence this was a dream come true. Especially hearing that pet name slip past her lips.
"My name is (Name). It's a pleasure to meet you!"
The two of you conversed until the evening, and as the sunset, Beidou invited you to be a part of her crew. You accepted all too willingly, over the moon at the prospect of traveling across Teyvat and exploring the different nations at the side of the beautiful captain.
You boarded the ship with Beidou, her arm wrapped around your shoulder, fingers drawing circles onto your skin. The close proximity had you blushing, yet the smile never left. You were happy.
And as the crew welcomed you and prepared a drunken feast just for you, you were unaware of the chains wrapping tight around you.
In the beginning, everything was fine. You learned how to help around the ship, offering your service whenever you thought you'd be able to handle a task. You'd explore the cities and nations with Kazuha and Beidou watching and protecting you.
But after some time, as a wish inside of you to settle in one place grew, making you look across the horizon in thought, things changed.
Beidou stopped you from entering harbors.
Beidou tried to keep you by her side at all times.
Beidou fretted over the fact that you were distancing yourself from her, your curiosity for the world stilled, wanting nothing more than to live a peaceful life.
She pulled the chains ever tighter, no matter how much you withered, how your liveliness faded.
And at last, your smile. You didn't even give her a fake smile anymore, nor did you talk to her.
It hurt.
It hurt so bad.
Beidou stood in front of your room on her ship, taking a deep breath before entering. She had one last idea, one last resort to reawaken your curiosity.
"Say, (Name)...how about we visit the fallen lands of Khaenri'ah?"
She didn't mention that it also served another purpose.
The way you perked up, just the sliver of light coming back to your eyes, made it worth it.
Yes, she didn't have to say anything about her plan.
The plan to find a rumored device Khaenri'ahns used to tame wild animals, and occasionally criminals.

RAIDEN SHOGUN
Inazuma buzzed with gossip that the creator had descended to their land, the people joyfully celebrating as skeptics questioned your authenticity.
The usual somber nation seemed to have burst with color once you stepped upon the land, the devoted citizens instantly knowing who you are.
After all, their Archon had heavily ingrained it in their minds.
It spooked you at first, to suddenly have this crowd of people throwing praises your way. Shoving gifts into your hand of anything you could ever think of, clothing, food, perfume, what are you supposed to do with an animal skull?!
And quickly enough, the news reached the Raiden Shogun.
The puppet itself held no real emotion towards you, only following what orders it was given to rule over Inazuma.
But Ei...she did everything for you.
When she was informed by the Shogun, it felt like a heavy burden was lifted upon her shoulder. Finally, you were here. You could see all that she has accomplished.
You could stay here for eternity.
One moment you were on the streets of Inazuma, and the next you were in the Shogun's room. You could swear you just blinked it was like you teleported here.
Looking up at the Raiden Shogun you gasped as you were sucked into dimensional space. Your body felt like it was falling, burning as you opened your eyes to see the real Ei.
Her gaze was pure and nurturing, a small smile upon her lips while she grabbed ahold of you.
"I'm so glad you are here, Your Grace." She whispered.
You struggled as her grip tightened around you.
"I don't understand why you would come in a human form though...they are far too fragile, too easy to break." Ei hummed as she changed the scenery around you two. "I've been waiting so long for you, Your Grace. It is almost disappointing not to be graced by your divine being, only a human version of it..."
Now, a beautiful meadow surrounded you. The sun seemed to shine but you could not feel it, telling you that this was all fake.
She sat you down onto a blanket before patting her lap. You hesitantly laid your head upon her lap, her fingers gently raking through your hair.
"But it is no matter, you're here now. And time can't take you anymore." You stiffened at her proclaim, looking up at her with shocked eyes.
"No need to worry. The Shogun will take care of your body, Your Grace. As much as I hate that human body of yours, she'll do a perfect job at upkeeping it." She smiled down at you.
Your human body was not taken along with your consciousness. Instead, the Raiden Shogun had hidden it away, preserving it for Ei. Locking it away from prying eyes and dressed nicely in cultural Inazuma attire, just like a doll.
The people of Inazuma were quick to notice your absence as the days passed, but it was weird. They could still feel as if you were with them. They took this as a blessing you left behind and prayed up above to you every day.
Time moved differently in this subspace, only minutes passed you while it's already been days with the Shogun.
You tried to speak against her but Ei always hushed you, not giving you a chance. She'd deflect, changing the topic as fast as possible.
"I can't wait to teach you the art of meditation and so much more, Your Grace. Finally, I can do all the things I've ever wanted with you. After all, we'll be here for eternity, won't we?"

Tumblr media
Even if she was a woman whose heart belonged to Teyvat's oceans, she will always remain by your side. Even if Celestia cursed her soul with the darkest of plagues, even if the children of the halcyon stars come after her beloved, even if the wraths of Liyue's or Inazuma's divine gods made you shed tears, she will promise to do her best to protect you.
Whenever Beidou arrived back in Liyue after a long voyage, children would come running to her and cling to her legs, toothy smiles filled with innocence and curiosity. They would ask about all the amazing battles she encountered during her adventure, did she defeat another god? Did she receive another vision? The adults around them would laugh at their mischievousness, not even bothering to help the almighty Captain Beidou who would topple over her own two legs any second.
Children adore the both of you, sometimes you both were even watching over them while they ran along Liyue's waters. Her brown locks would flow majestically behind her, and sometimes you wondered how a voyager like your beloved could keep it so beautiful. She was Beidou, and she was beautiful in every way.
But Beidou cherished every smile you flashed at her. You were a gift from above, and out of the thousands of people you came across, you chose her. You wanted to stay in this committed relationship with her. Your aura gleamed with tenderness and luminosity, a total contrast from her boastful and prideful self. "I can be boastful as well, you know." Your pout was adorable, Beidou thought. "I can be dramatic and loud if I'm comfortable around them."
Ah yes, introverted around strangers but extroverted around familial ties. Don't worry, she's exactly like that as well. Nobody knew her better than you.
Ningguang would nod her head with a fond smile, understanding the signal Beidou sent to her. She leaned against the wall, watching from the sidelines the flustered Beidou. Beidou was never one for attention. Finally, the children would ask why she was back at the harbor so early, and your girlfriend would laugh at their eagerness, and respond, "For my precious pearl of course!"
Ningguang, and sometimes Keqing, would be waiting at Liyue's main harbor for the arrival of their ships. Were they all safe? Is anybody injured or sick? Beidou would make subtle eye contact with Ningguang, and Ningguang acknowledges with a nod. You were safe, you were happy. That was all Beidou needed to know she came home.
Beidou understood that making a promise of protection was always a white lie. She wasn't the type to promise a favor she couldn't keep. "I understand," You always understood her. You laughed for her, you cried for her.
Kazuha's vermillion eyes would gaze at the joyous memory in front of him, noticing how it was so much warmer here than in Inazuma. His ears picked up the conversation happening just below him. So that was why Beidou seemed so lovestruck while standing on top of The Alcor. Kazuha mused. Unanswered question answered.
She knew how cruel the world could be. But that was how the world was, how can you learn if you never made a mistake? Nobody chose to be fed with a silver spoon, yet at the same time, nobody chose to be born without a crumb on the dinner table. She decided to bring along Kazuha after receiving word overseas, a wanderer with quite the bounty over his head.
Your beloved was generous. She knew what it was like to be unfortunate, with a rough past and all. She loved with a golden heart, a reason why you fell for her. You made sure to welcome Kazuha with open arms. ( Your future self, of course. )
Beidou strutted along the golden beach, her Wolf's Gravestone basking in the rhapsody of brilliance. You got lucky and managed to find it for her, you once told Beidou. She remembers how the stars scattered above seemed to form a halo above your head.
Wishes? Luck? Luck was never on her side. She reminisced about her crewmates laughing at her, saying she wasted all the luck in her lifetime on you. I mean, they weren't wrong.
She remembers holding onto your weight, your body bruised and battered. "I'm never wishing ever again." You were lying, but nobody pointed it out.
"Guess who's home~" Beidou knocked on the wooden door, chuckling after hearing the familiar foot pattern rushing towards the door.
Lo and behold, you were here to welcome her home. Beidou came home, she was home.

WARNINGS: tad bit of angst, fluff, comfort here n there, abuse, obsession, dissociation (?)

Inazuma. The land of eternity, and what was supposed to be a tranquil and picturesque place; however, since the reign of the infamous Raiden Shogun began, it only appeared that way to outsiders. To civilians of Inazuma and anyone who dare make it to this closed nation, it was an unofficial death wish. Due to the dangers that lie within the land known for wielding electro, you would only hope that making it here was an awful nightmare.
And unfortunately, it was where the Crux Fleet were heading. With the unexpected request of the traveller, and another temporary crewmate seeking refuge, the Alcor set sail as soon as possible. While for the others it was a normal expedition, Saiki didn’t realise what chaos was about to commence.
As Saiki helped other members of the crew throughout the day, they temporarily abandoned their duties and approached the traveller. A grin grew on their face to match the warm, welcoming eyes and personality they carry around like a pet, “Hey traveller!! It’s so epic to finally meet you, I’m Saiki!!” Traveller attempted to put a word in for herself, “My name is actually Lu-” Saiki interrupted enthusiastically, “Traveller is A LOT easier to remember, so I’ll stick with that! As I was saying, I’m the first mate of the Crux Fleet! And ‘cause the captain’s usually busy as hell, you’ll have to come to me for help!! I ain’t complaining though, means I get to know ya more!!”
As Saiki continued rambling, a certain cloudette bard snuck up behind them. He tapped Saiki’s shoulder, “I find it quite pitiful how I haven’t had such a warm-hearted welcome since I boarded.” Saiki wheezed, wrapping an arm around the well-worded gentleman, “Oh, c’mon Kazuha! I gave you a nice hello before the rest of the crew said theirs. Oh, speaking of introductions! We should head off to show ya around tra-” Saiki turned around, only to see Lumine looking out from the bridge of the ship, staring in awe at the blue abyss surrounding her. “Well, it seems that you’re dear traveller friend has different plans,” Kazuha chuckled, “I may as well join him. Farewell, first mate Saiki.”
Throughout the rest of the day, Saiki upheld their overly cheerful spirit while helping out the others on board. As for Kazuha and Lumine, they were bonding over the scenery they passed by until the sun was partially visible and the sky was a beautiful shade of orange.
As the captain of the fleet, Beidou, left the wheel in the hands of another crew member, Saiki rushed over to Beidou’s side. “There’s my girl!” Beidou exclaims, quickly grabbing Saiki’s hand and holding it tightly, “how were the crew today? I know I can trust you to tell me, first mate!” Saiki smiled, “They all worked really well, honestly better than usual, captain!” Saiki giggled, and proceeded to kiss Beidou’s cheek, “which I think means we should all enjoy a couple drinks tonight, wouldn’t ya say?” Beidou laughed, “You never fail to amuse me. However, I do agree with you.”
When Saiki first met Beidou, they were discussing plans on what to do after the destruction of the Jade Chamber, in which belonged to Ningguang, the almighty Tiaquan of Liyue. When Saiki first made eye contact with Beidou, it was serendipity; they never thought they’d meet someone who made their heart flutter immensely, and their head go light with admiration, let alone over a meeting with their superior.
After a night of getting tipsy with Saiki’s colleagues and guests, they all departed to their rooms, in which everyone went to peacefully sleep the night away. However, Saiki stayed on deck, in a dazed state. For them, nothing felt completely real in this moment of time. They stared at the necklace wrapped around their neck, grasping it in their left hand. As they felt along each and every indent, Saiki felt a cold hand on their shoulder, sending a sickening chill down their spine.
“It’s sickening how these people don’t treat you with enough… importance. Isn’t it, amica mea?”
Saiki recognised that voice.
They had no choice but to throw the golden retriever personality away in the sea below them. “My dearest, I don’t find it very welcoming of you to surprise me like that.” The unknown woman chuckled, somewhat amused at Saiki’s sudden state of shock and manner, “Sakura, you always know how to amuse me,” She caressed Saiki’s cheek, “You know what I’m here to discuss though, don’t you amica mea? You know our goal.” You nod, trying to bring a subtle smile upon your face, “Yes, Signora, I’m very much aware. Before you know it, I’ll have a gnosis within my grasp, as well as the blood of many stained to my body.” Signora kissed them, as Saiki silently sobbed. They didn’t want to hurt anyone. They didn’t want to hurt Beidou. Even just thinking about it felt like someone had put a dagger of sculpted ice through Saiki’s heart, and the hot blood trickling down their body rapidly-
And with that, Saiki awoke. They felt cold and hot at the same time, with sweat running down their forehead. Beidou was next to them, a concerned look on her face. As Beidou and Saiki’s eyes locked together, Saiki fell into Beidou’s arms, sobbing uncontrollably. “Was it another nightmare about her again?” she whispered, attempting to keep her tone as soft as possible. All Saiki could do was murmur a “mhm”, and that’s all that Beidou needed to know. Calmly trying to console Saiki, Beidou spoke softly, “I’ve got you sweetheart, ok? As long as I’m here, Signora won’t be able to merely glance in your direction.” Saiki hugged her tighter, before Beidou tilted their chin up and kissed them gently, “I love you, K? I always will, no matter what.” Saiki rested their head on Beidou’s shoulder, burrowing their face into her neck as Saiki slowly fell asleep once more. It truly was as if they we’re made for each other, seeing how they so easily melt into each other’s touch.
After multiple days of the same cycle, Saiki and the rest of the fleet made it through the usually fatal storm, and had finally arrived at Inazuma. Little did any of them know that chaos was blossoming, and the flames of crimson were ignited as they started to slowly form into a raging phoenix.

Inazuma faced another threat, and not of the Raiden Shogun directly, no this threat came from within the Kujou Clan. A high ranking officer that once served as a monk. If there was anyone that believed in the dream that Shogun preached about eternity, then it was this man: Yamaguchi Keisuke. By acquiring a delusion of the dendro element from an unknown source he was able to breathe life back into the deceased. Using the powers of the earth and nature perversely to sew life to the rotting corpses of both warriors and loved ones that were once long buried after war and the Vision hunt decree.
Kazuha had taken such a hate to these creatures because they possessed the stench of nature, or at least its foul and corrupt form, what angered him more was the fact that this person uses the bodies of his own countrymen as weapons to see his goal through. Kazuha was more than prepared to fight alongside Elysia. Whilst he’s never seen her fight, the winds hinted of her prowess in battle, which is why he’s always felt safe around her should things escalate.
But now wasn’t the time to mindlessly strike enemies one by one, they needed a plan and it seems that she had come up with one rather quickly. He was to find the one responsible for this, suggesting that he uses his gift of reading and listening to nature to find out just where this source of this power came from. And so he did. “Alright, come and find me once you’re done.” The wanderer spoke as he continued to scurry off with the children of whom were enjoying a relaxing game of Temari with them. Using his vision of anemo he’s managed to propel them into the air upon numerous occasions to avoid the undead until they were safely aboard the Alcor. “Miss Beidou, I leave these children in your charge.” The young man said as the captain looked on to the horrors and ordered the crew to protect the children into the hull as she commands her own fleet to aid those in the streets of Ritou. “Miss Elysia entrusted me to find whoever’s causing this.” Kazuha said softly before feeling Beidous’ rough pat against his shoulder. “If anyone can do it, it’s you Kazuha, don’t piss me off and get yourself killed out there.” The woman spoke as the wanderer sighs with a smile. Always the caring one this woman, and with a nod he pushes on.
Nature was being manipulated, but he could still hear the wind cry, the traveling leaves echo in agony, and eventually it led him through a hidden path near Ritou’s shoreline. His walk brought him near a tall man, his head hung low but he could hear cackling leaving the man’s lips. “I hope you’re watching. Your excellency, I bring you the power of eternity.” The voice was dark, sinister even as the wanderer got closer. “A damnable offence.” Kazuha utters as the man uses his powers of Dendro causing decaying roots from beneath the earth to entangle the wanderer. “Enemies of the Almighty Raiden Shogun are enemies of the Kujou clan.” The man spoke looking onward towards the samurai with victory in his eyes.
Kazuha felt the branches begin to try and sap his own lifeforce, but with enough concentration he managed to shred the vines with powerful gales of wind.

The man looked into Kazuha’s eyes, those were the eyes of a man that was tired. Tired of those with such a perverse sense of eternity. What the man saw next surprised him, around him were a multitude of dancing leaves. Slowly the crimson leaves began to glow, and without a second to waste there was no pain, only darkness in his sight. Kazuha had performed a slash with such blinding speed it robbed the man of his senses and brought him death instantaneously, the severed head making a light thud against the ground it fell upon and without the ‘source’ feeding power into the delusion rendered the undead into useless immobile corpses once again.
In the end Everyone will leave you Alone in your grave
