genshin characters' bodies headcanons

ok so we all know that genshin impact's in-game models leave much to be desired, soooo I wanted to explain some of the headcanons I have about characters’ physical features that don’t really get explored in game :) aka genshin but with actual body diversity lets goooooo (no this does not include genitalia)

I’m using Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation shades to describe skin tone (you can go to their website here for references!)

Diluc Ragavindr

this man is BUILT!

thick muscular tree trunk arms and legs to support that giant ass claymore he swings around; and a wide, muscular back spread

He has a lot of muscle but he’s not super cut, there’s a slight layer of fat over it all so he has that soft but bulky build (and big tiddies)

big, strong veiny hands with thick fingers that aren’t stubby but not slender, he simply keeps his nails short but doesn’t do any fancy upkeep

I imagine him to be around 5’10” because I like to think he’s a little shorter than Kaeya (who totally makes fun of him for it)

he probably has some old scars on his arms and legs, which he pays little to no mind to

he has a tall nose bridge and a strong brow so it looks like he’s always scowling even if he’s not (no more alien bug eyes lmfao)

He has naturally pouty lips, but when he smiles (which he rarely does) he looks absolutely angelic

Fair skinned but with a warm undertone (fenty beauty shade 105), it’s hard to get him embarrassed but if you do, he blushes easily

The fluffiest hair you can imagine, its so soft and so pretty but he doesn’t really take special care of it so it’s usually just thrown back in a ponytail

He has a fair bit of body hair on his arms and legs, and if he doesn’t shave for a couple days he gets stubble on his face

Kaeya Alberich

Long, lanky and slender, but still muscular

He’s got toned arms and legs from being a Knight of Favonius but he’s not as stocky as Diluc, it’s more like a lean fit situation

His hands are big but his fingers are more slender and elongated

He takes care of his nails and lets Klee paint them sometimes :)

He has a slightly crooked smile that’s oh so charming, but it never quite reaches his eyes

He has the most beautiful long fluttering eyelashes and kissable lips

I imagine Kaeya to be about 6’2” or so, most of that height is from his long ass legs

He also has miscellaneous battle scars but he prefers to keep them hidden so people don’t ask too many questions about his past

Wide shoulders but a narrow waist (for other men to grab)

Much darker skin than the in-game model, and I think his undertones are cool (fenty beauty shade 340 or 450 I can’t decide)

His hair is also fluffy but the strands are longer and coarser than Diluc’s so it falls more evenly; also his hair is wavy when brushed out, but when he wakes up it forms into curls naturally! I also imagine him to take better care of his hair than his brother

Has less body hair than Diluc and cannot grow even facial hair to save his life (he prefers a clean look anyways)

Childe/Ajax/Tartaglia

he’s very muscular and cut from years of nonstop fighting, literally a greek god

He could crush your head between his thick thighs like a watermelon

He’s pretty damn tall, standing at around 6’4” or so, pretty even proportions

This man is pasty af!!! His undertones are cool and his skin has a pink, rosy glow (fenty beauty shade 100)

He cannot get a tan to save his life, instead he gets a shit ton of freckles all over his face and body, the freckles fade in the winter but they’re always slightly visible

His body is absolutely covered in battle scars because he’s so reckless, but he wears them with pride as proof of his training and skills

He has a scar on his forehead that cuts through his eyebrow, giving him a permanent eyebrow slit

His hair is the exact consistency and color of Ed Sheeran’s

His nose has a bump in the middle and it’s a little crooked because he broke it and it never healed properly (he doesn’t care to get it fixed)

His neck is thick and he has a prominent adam’s apple

Slightly thinner lips that are a pale pink, they naturally rest in an easy smile to juxtapose his dead eyes

He has small dimples on both cheeks when he smiles

Beidou

MUSCLE MOMMY, I’d like to think shes in her late 30’s or early 40’s

She has an overwhelmingly large presence, immediately taking over the aura of any room she enters

She has a wide, muscular back rife with scars that she flexes when she’s drunk

She’s pretty tanned from being out on the sea all the time and has a warm undertone (fenty beauty shade 255)

Could also crush your head with her thick thighs or biceps (her lat spread is insane)

Definitely has washboard abs, a perfect 6-pack

She’s pretty tall, around 5’11”

Blunt and thick fingers, she doesn’t bother with fancy nail care but keeps them tidy

Her hair is very coarse, straight and thick, the kids in Liyue Harbor try to play with it using clips and braids but they always fall out because her hair is so resilient

She has deep set smile lines and crow’s feet from many years of hearty laughter

Her eyes are monolid; technically speaking it’s just one eye since the other was lost in a vicious battle a long time ago

She has a long scar running over her lost eye from her forehead to the middle of her cheek, and another smaller scar on the corner of her lips

Her nose is rounded at the end and also used to be crooked from a fight, but Ningguang made her fix it because a deviated septum is bad for breathing

Genshin characters as students feat.Xiao, Ayato, Venti, Childe, Scaramouche/Wanderer, Heizou, Diluc, Kazuha, Albedo, Beidou

Albedo

Albedo would be the type of student to be very quiet and get grades without much effort

favorite subject would be science of any form and second would be math

He’s a bit too passionate when it comes to any form of science though

He’d get so involved in it that he’d over do it and drift off into a whole other different topic than what he was assigned

he’d use up all of the science equipment and even brings his own laboratory to school just to do science wether it would mean to dissect something or something potentially dangerous

Definitely would correct the teacher whenever they would get something incorrect

Albedo would be the type of student to be very quiet and get good grades without much effort

favorite subject would be science of any form and second would be math

Ayato

he’d probably get top marks and grades

very popular within the school, both guys and girls

his charm can make him appear as a player of some sort

but i hc him to be very loyal with his loved ones

he’s fairly charismatic and elegant in many ways

people would probably start rumors that he’s just one of those aristocrats that came from a rich family and bought their way up (Kamisato family -> rich and notorious family in my AU)

he was that kid that you wished you were when you were younger

Beidou

the one that hosts parties and gets everyone excited

she’s fairly outgoing with her grades being fantastic

has her own sailing club for sure

I headcanon her to have amazing grades but still chose to go and follow her dreams to own a ship and have her own crew

caring and reliable person though I can’t guarantee that she finishes her homework and assignments on time if ever

eats lunch as a feast and invites Ninguang to every one of them

Childe/Tartaglia

Rich

filthy rich

absolutely rich

all jokes aside, he’s actually pretty reliable

he would be that kid that would chip in if you are missing a few coins

he’d also be a magnet towards children younger than him

As expected, he’s pretty popular with the girls as well and the guys

often shooting a wink and flirting with the girls

He’s really outgoing and has a playful attitude overall

always picked first in PE classes

overall, he’s pretty popular with the children and his grade

Mainly hangs around Ayato or his gang

Diluc

a well reserved student

sometimes people forget he even existed, that’s how mysterious he is

I feel like he’d try to make friends but his ‘ways’ of making friends are considered too serious and people are instead, intimidated by him

either eats lunch alone somewhere or eats lunch with Kaeya

Most likely always picked last if not for Kaeya

spends his time in the library or outside somewhere calm that nobody knows about

his grades are fine and he hands in his homework on time so nothing wrong there

everyone thought he was dumb at first when he first transferred

until he managed to solve tons of problems, bust myths about the school and showed that he’s on a whole other level

He usually eats with venti and the Anemo people if not then maybe he’d dine with some girls

school grades aren’t failing but it’s apparent that he doesn’t put that much effort in school

he hands in his homework at the last minute possible

he’s the guy that everyone goes to for uncovering any secrets and checking if rumours were true

you’ll find him anywhere in the school

Kazuha

he’s all around appreciated

his ways of talking came off as weird at first but his talents makes up for it

often spends his time writing literature, he’s always constructing poems

can smell peoples intentions

he’s a pretty quiet kid in class, only talks to ask a question or to answer a question if no one’s willing to answer it

he shows sympathy towards everyone and anything

he’s gentle and caring, that’s why everyone goes to him for their emotional problems

you’d usually find him somewhere alone in the library or he’s with the Anemo group

eats lunch by himself (intentionally) or eats lunch with his group or with Beidou and her group

Scaramouche/Wanderer

the kid that always makes snarky remarks

if someone pisses him off enough, he’ll remind the teacher of the homework that was supposed to be due

He’s unironically smart so nobody really picks on him and instead resort to just talk badly about him behind his back

Since he knows about the schools darkest mysteries, Heizou and other people always question him about it

Scara hates small talk with people that he knows are total fakes

usually hangs around the Anemo group (more specifically Venti and Kazuha, he finds Heizou too obnoxious lmao)

the emo kid that wakes up everyday and chooses violence/makes it everyone’s problem

Venti

his grades aren’t bad or good but it’s apparent that he puts no effort or not much effort in school

mostly treats school as a place to socialize

he’s make a band and sing songs in the middle of the school

attends Beidou’s banquets sometimes

not too interested in anything other than literature and music perhaps arts as well

everybody in the school knows him for his music, literatures and his storytelling

He’s definitely idolized in a way despite his grades, practically rock bottom

he’s everywhere, you��ll usually see him on flyers and posters all around the school

Xiao

everyone forgets he exists sometimes

he’s quite intimidating for most people

he’s fairly quiet and will cut any form of small talk with people

BEIDOU

As much as she loves you and wants to be with you all the time, she asks you to stay on land.

I mean, you're pregnant and what if they encounter a sea monster or something ?

Besides, on lang, there's plenty of doctors you can see in case there's a problem.

Anyway, since you can't go with her on sea, she goes on one or two trips at sea before staying on land during pregnancy. She will just plan the Alcor's trips from land and give all the work outside Liyue to her crew. If it's business inside the nation, she'll do it herself, as she still needs to do something to provide for you and your kid to be !

Completely overprotective, no one can touch you except her. With what happened in her childhood, I assume she's very protective of people who accept her as she is no matter what kind of luck she might bring. So the least problem, she will not be calm until she has confirmation that it's really fine.

If a "Karen" type of person is messing with you (with how many stories you can hear about them and pregnant women), trust me, she'll have to hold back to not put this person on life support for the rest of their life.

If at first you're staying at Liyue's Harbor, toward the end of the pregnancy, you go to Qingce Village, to be sure to relax and knowing the eledery people would do anything to help you and they probably would also know what to do if something happens.

Will totally bring you some trinkets and gifts she found or bought not this far. She would go to Liyue Harbor from time to time, to make sure everything is fine with her crew. Always bring a small gift, for you or a new toy for the kid !

Would totally carry anything for you, you're forbidden from lifting more than whatever she might see as too heavy for you (which is a bit of everything)

Her heart melts when she sees the eldery people of the village helping you out with bringing you what you might need. Even if they ask you if you would need help looking after the child or if you would like some clothes for the baby or you, or offering some food. She's very grateful for their help.

Will be the useless partner when you start to deliver. Kinda, she panics a bit too much, but she will be there to hold your hand. Well you might have broke her hand during the delivery but it's not like she mind. She knows worst and also, she knows your pain is greater than hers.

"You okay, y/n ? Oh, let me help you with this ! What do you mean you can carry it ? You're already carrying our child ! No need to do more !"

EI/RAIDEN SHOGUN

Overprotective.

She already got the trauma from the loss of her sister, no way she's gonna take any risk at losing you or your child.

She keeps your pregnancy hidden, for safety reasons.

Yae Miko is probably the kid's godmother.

Kujou Sara will be the child's fierce guardian and would be honored to teach them how to use a bow or be their preceptor.

Anyway, thanks to the kitsune, some people knew you were pregnant and the whole news spread across Inazuma.

Before you can do anything, there's a big feast to celebrate !

You're not mad at Yae Miko though. Not like you can blame her or any citizen, it was bound to happen at some point.

The entire nation congratulates you. Even Sangonomiya's shrine does it, as this new life would probably be another chance to finally establish durable peace since this new life would be the start of something new.

During pregnancy, Ei is very overprotective and never leaves you. She would let Yae Miko do half of the Shogun's work, to allow her to spend more time with you.

Given she's not human, she doesn't really get how a pregnant body works, but will ask questions to help you better. She will also read books about it, to be sure.

Brings in whatever food you crave, no matter how weird, but will mostly give you rich food, with a lot of fat and vitamins to be sure the baby will be healthy.

While Ei doesn't plan to step down, a healthy child will ensure a healthy heir in case something happens to her.

When the delivery comes around, she's there, in silence, giving you her hand. She's silent because she knows words won't do anything with the pain you're feeling. At least, that's one of the reasons she gives you and the only one she's willing to voice.

The other reason was she was silent because she knew there was a certain percentage of chance you die during delivery and she was actually praying that her sister would protect you during delivery and if you pass, she hoped Makoto would take good care of you when she couldn't.

"Hello dearest. How do you feel today ? Uh ? You want a special mushroom pizza and ... Salty dangos ? Well, as you wish."

KOKOMI

She is... Very stressed out.

She has to deal with Watatsumi Island's affair, the aftermath of war, the formation of a new army, the negotiation with the shogunate and all.

And now your pregnancy, which doesn't help her much with the amount or stress.

At this point, Gorou steps in and deals with most of Kokomi's duty on the Island or at least as much as he can do to help her and also to allow her to take time for you.

Kokomi is grateful for it.

Well, the news of your pregnancy spreads fast and the entire island is congratulating you !

Kokomi will help you anytime and all the time and the moment you start to feel unwell, she'll heal you and soothe you ! Probably very good at foot massage and will do some for you !

Starts to plan with you some education and perfect names for the kid. Please let her educate the child about strategy and shrine duty. It's not much and a kid would have a lot of free time since those things are taught when the person is mature enough to assimilate and learn such things. And it is quite easy to learn.

Probably read some strategy books to the baby inside of you. It's never too early to learn and at least, they would be able to recognise her voice !

Gorou actually helps you both without any problem and would gladly go search for a future nanny for the kid to be. Or give you anything like clothes or toys.

Bold of him to assume he won't be the kid's nanny and cool doggo uncle in the future.

Anyway, since the Divine Priestess is about to have a kid, people give you and Kokomi a lot of support, food, clothes, toys, a children's book and everything you need.

Chances are Kokomi is helping you and doctors during delivery. She talks to you and tries to take a bit of the pain away.

Heals you or at least helps your body to recover after the delivery.

"Here you are y/n ! I was looking for you, some villagers gifted us some baby clothes and other items and I was thinking maybe you would like to see what they gave us ?"

NINGGUANG

Honestly, she would hire the best doctors and maids to look after you the second she learns you're pregnant.

She's not worried. You both talked about it and it was bound to happen sooner or later with all the procedures.

Anyway, she won't stop working, since she now has to deal with Liyue's new era and guide it through the change.

The news spread immediately and all of Liyue sent you congratulations.

The adepti also sent each something, not that they cared, but they knew Ningguang was someone they couldn't ignore and if the was establishing her dynasty, then let it be, Liyue was changing and maybe this child will be the star of a new generation, the first generation to be born and live during this new era of men.

She would come to you quite often throughout the day to check if everything is good.

Would absolutely gift you the finest gifts and find the best things for the child to be.

Would be happy to see all the support, but she knows that a lot of the support isn't genuine and is people's attempt at getting in her good graces. Well, except when it comes to Liyue Qixing and Adepit's gifts.

Keqing, Yelan and Ganyu will be around a lot, excited for the baby. They all would be the aunts.

Keqing isn't exactly good with children, but she would be willing to make an effort for Ningguang's child, while Yelan is the cool rich aunt who's rarely there but each time she comes would gift something cool, while Ganyu will be the soft aunty who you could go to, to talk about anything.

Probably asks Yun Jin to be the future kid's teacher into fine arts because she trusts the young lady to do well into transmitting the delicate art of theater through education. Ningguang won't have an uncultured child as hers.

During delivery, she is in the room, sitting a bit away. She doesn't hold your hand as she needs her hand to keep working, but her presence is enough to make you feel a bit better. Besides, her being closer would bother the doctors who are well more versed into assisting someone in labor than her.

"Hi, y/n. Do you feel well ? Do you crave anything particular or do you need something else ? Maybe you want me to take some time off for today ?"

YAE MIKO

Well, her attitude doesn't change a lot.

She will tease you a lot, she loves your reactions with your hormones ! At least she has a whole new field to explore with her teasing.

Honestly, the entire shrine would be helping you with your pregnancy, and, with the news spreading a lot of people come all the way to the Grand Narukami Shrine.

The shrine maidens will offer you some predictions !

She will be there no matter what, after all it's not like she has something else to do.

Will pick up a lot of children's books for the kid to be. Maybe a lot of authors in this line will try to offer her their own books in an attempt to have a good relationship with Yae Publishing House.

Wonders if the child would be a kitsune or a human, maybe a hybrid, but how would that work ?

She would be excited and curious to explore what the child would be, so many possibilities ! And so many ways to tease them !

For sure she would tease you saying Ei was already a child so she's used to handling kids and babies.

Speaking of which, it is probably the only one Yae Miko would fully trust to be around you during pregnancy.

Ei is happy for Yae Miko and hopes for the child to grow healthy.

Ei would be that nice aunty who brings and gives whatever the kid wants while Yae Miko would be the teasing mom with some strict rules.

Yae Miko would want to teach the child how to tease as soon as they would be old enough. But she would also love to teach him about how to use a vision if he's granted one. But she'll have to wait for the birth, first

Would prepare herself anything you crave for ! Even the weirdest food, she'll happily prepare it ! It is a very good experience, sometimes you even cook together this weird dish you might want.

About the weird food, she thinks it's funny to order it actually and she loves seeing the cooks' faces when she puts an order for a udon noodle soup with a Special Mushroom Pizza's taste and deep fried tofu.

During delivery, she will hold your hand and distract you a bit by teasing you. It annoys and distracts you. She probably also let the shrine maidens do their job at helping you deliver.

"What is it, my dear ? Oh, you want me to read a book to you ? How cute. What book do you want to hear today ?"

captain beidou of the crux, a powerful woman in liyue harbour

she’s also known as the “uncrowned lord of the ocean”

a title so flattering it makes her ego swell to twice the size it was

and sometimes she’s known— no, mistaken for a tyrant who taken control of teyvat’s seas by force

but what she’s not known for is being a selfless lover

beidou leaves that part of herself behind closed doors, reserved only for you to see

the same woman who pierces fear into the hearts of sailors also grumbles whenever you get out of bed too early

she’ll literally drag you back in, don’t underestimate her strength

and once she has you in her grasp? then what, you ask?

well, beidou will have no choice but to pepper kisses along your face, chuckling as you squirm

and whenever she speaks, right after waking up, she has the most gravely of morning voices

it’s incredibly... flustering to hear first thing in the morning, but at the same time it’s so, so, so comforting

eventually, when you two must wake up, beidou brings you to your shared cabin’s kitchen

there, she’ll have you sit down while she makes breakfast for you two

she loves hearing about your day, your sleep, your weird dreams— everything and anything will entertain her as she makes your favorite breakfast

beidou really enjoys hearing your voice, so please never feel like you’re annoying her

and once breakfast is done, she’ll serve it with a smile and a kiss

on most days, your visit with beidou stops there as someone needs her or something must be done

which means that she’ll have to leave you to eat alone, unfortunately

but not after she gives a thousand or so kisses all across your face and give you a declaration of love

because she swears, each and every day, that you’re the greatest treasure she’s ever found

“hmm... oh, good morning baby. didn’t see ya there— thought you were my pillow for a second. did’ya have a good sleep, hun? oh? you had a dream? well, tell me about it— i wanna hear it now."

lady ningguang of the liyue qixing, an intimidating figure

many line up just to reserve some time with this woman, ready to pitch their business ideas and ventures

but many don’t know that a part of the reason of why her time is so limited is because she reserves her mornings just for you

ningguang’s actually quite touch starved, contrary to mosts' belief

she’s used to being cold and blunt towards everyone that meets her

but when she’s with you?

she cannot bear to part with you at all

throughout the night, ningguang will cling onto you throughout the night

despite having a king sized bed with plenty of room, she would much rather be close to you

in the mornings, she enjoys it when you play with her hair

as long as you don’t rip out the strands or pull too hard, ningguang’s luscious locks are free for you to style

and she seems so content whenever you play with her hair

ningguang has her eyes closed, a beautiful smile on her pretty lips, and she’s half-listening and humming along to whatever you’re saying

sometimes, you’ll try and test her by saying something so outlandish that she would never say yes too

it’s made her open an eye and give you a confused look, which only disappears when you begin snickering

when ningguang’s assitants begin to pester her to begin the day, she’ll grumpily get up

but before she leaves the bed, she might or might not engage in a slow makeout session with you... depends on if she wants to annoy her assistants or not

she gets ready quickly though, so there’s no need to rush any early morning romance between you two

eventually, she will need to depart her chambers

but not before placing a kiss on your head and wishing you a good day, of course

then he’ll chuckle as you groan and begin to wake up

it’s slow, but it gives cyno a chance to pull you even closer to him

after a while, cyno will gently pull away and give you a love-filled gaze that would be suffocating if it weren’t him

and to finish off this lovely little routine?

cyno will say the worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard, causing you to groan as he cackles and throws his head back

“hey baby. wanna know what’s on the menu for today? well, i was thinking a little bit of me ‘n’ you... get it? hey, hey! don’t give me that look— that one took me a while to come up with! surely it’s enough to earn me a sweet kis— hmm, thank you.”

itto can be terrifying

a lot of people still have many misconceptions about onis, so it isn’t strange for itto to accidently scare people away

oh, if only they knew the itto you knew!

it’s like he’ll stop living if he can’t at least touch you, y’know?

because the itto you know is so clingy in bed

however, sometimes when you two woke up, itto had managed to push you away in the middle of the night

he’s accidentally pushed you off the bed a few times too ...

but for the majority of nights together, while you sleep beside him it’s like a giant bear hug

and itto remembers to ease up on his grip!! most of the time!!

he wouldn’t want his favorite person pillow to be squished, right?

seriously though, itto really loves waking up and seeing you

he just thinks you’re so precious when you first wake up, and an overwhelming desire to cuddle you takes over him

and if itto wakes up to see that you two separated in your sleep?

he’s quick to remedy that, wrapping you in his big strong arms as he places his head into the crook of your neck

when you do finally wake up, except to have your whole face kissed over and over again

itto really enjoys relaxing with you before the day starts

most mornings he even plans a nice date for you two too!

just make sure not to shoot down all of his... interesting date ideas, as itto really is trying!!

Yesterday I totally forgot I could write about Beidou and Kazuha's relationship for Mother's day, so here's my late mother's day post

Kazuha is the baby of the Crux, no questions, he is the baby

While Beidou pays attention to all her crew fairly, she listens to Kazuha a little bit more than the rest of the Crux, it's her baby! How could she not?

The rest of the crew doesn't really care, the baby naturally gets more attention, in fact, they love giving him noogies and ruffling his hair

I like to think the Kazuha sometimes hands his poetry to his mama to beta read and see what see she thinks (if it was modern-day, she would pin it to the fridge)

They will clap for the baby, playing a little melody on a leaf? One person will start clapping and the rest follow

Actually, they do that for anyone, someone does something? People will start clapping, half of them don't even know what's going on

I just like to think that the Crux is a big happy family, a little chaotic, but happy

A/N: Happy belated pride month! Figuring out which ones to write about was a bit of a struggle because I have soooo many faves ;-; I ended up picking a couple of them according to random inspiration. This did turn out a bit messy because at first I thought I should make some sort of small scenario type of kissing headcanon involving them, but then I realized it wasn't quite what you asked for so I ended up adding another section that's more like it near the end. Sorry for the trouble and I hope it turned out good enough, especially since it's the first time I'm writing about some of the characters and about female characters in general too.

Characters (m): Xiao, Childe and Heizou

Characters(f): Beidou and Yae Miko

Xiao

The sun had just set behind Wanghsu Inn, yet the stars had already spread across the sky when the not-so-young adeptus caught you off guard. Xiao was an elusive being, hiding out of common view as if his goal was to avoid everything and everyone. Perhaps that was the case most of the time, with him only showing upon request. For him to be so casually standing before you, without you calling out to him was a first.

Without saying a thing other than "Follow me", Xiao led you to small hill by the Inn. An assortment of objects was sprawled there; a blanket, a basket and a couple of plates, the fragrance of which could easily be traced back to Smiley Yanxiao.

"What's this?" You asked, your eyes widening in wonder.

"Food. Eat it." Xiao said as he took a seat on the blanket, patting for you to sit by his side.

Even after you had gone through the first plate, you were having a hard time believing that he had prepared such a surprise for you, a picnic, on top of that. He was never the type to pull such tricks, lest for a mere mortal. Perhaps there was more to the adeptus than met the eye, you thought to yourself.

Unsurprisingly, Xiao didn't touch any of the other dishes, other than his beloved Almond Tofu, that was. His eyes were glued to the moon while he ate, his mind most likely traveling elsewhere. He was always quiet, though you couldn't help but note how excessively quiet he was being right now. First he had prepped this dinner and now he was keeping to himself.

At the end, curiosity got the better of you. As you were about to ask him what the meaning of all this was, Xiao finally turned towards you, his amber eyes glowing underneath the moonlight.

"You haven't called me in a while." His observation sounded more like an accusation in his icy tone.

"Well, nothing dangerous went down. I figured that saying your name for no reason would be unwise. Don't wanna hear another speech about how us mortals have no respect for the adepti."

"You can call my name even when you aren't in danger."

"Hm?" You tilted your head, unsure of what he hinted at with his words.

"What I'm trying to say is..." He paused, glancing at the grass, the stars and then back at you. "Just..." Shaking his head dismissively, he let out a low grunt. "Forget about it."

"What? Tell me!" You demanded, desperately searching for an answer, though Xiao, once again, chose to ignore you.

"Xiao, you can't say this and then-"

Erasing your words with his mouth, Xiao rolled on top of you, pressing your wrists with his hands and your lips with his. Your eyes widened, a soft gasp coming out. You used to think that Xiao's kisses were like butterflies, feathery light and tender, yet this time it was different. The way he pursed his lips against yours, was full of frustration, anger perhaps too. It was as if he meant for you to understand what his words failed to deliver and by the time he pulled away, you did.

"Xiao"

His lips briefly curved upwards to what you could have sworn was a smile, one that disappeared just as fast as it appeared. He looked away, seemingly oblivious to the fact that both his cheeks were tainted red.

"Xiao." You called out again, unable to hide your own smile.

Maybe adepti weren't as complex as humans made them out to be.

Childe:

I actually had a different idea for Childe, but then the Harbinger teaser dropped and I had to re-do it. In reality, I could probably write a dozen headcanons about kisses (and not only) involving this man.

It was a cold winter night in Snezhnaya. You traveled all the way there just to surprise your favorite Harbinger. It had been so long since you'd last seen him, that you could barely remember your final encounter. The call was abrupt and sudden, and so was his departure. In no time, he was on the first boat back to his homeland, while you were bidding him farewell from the docks, wishing him a safe journey. Soon, he was out of sight, but not out of mind. You missed him and you bet he'd miss you all the same. So why not hop upon the first ship and pay him a visit?

That sounded like a great idea, though soon enough you came to realize that you'd made a grave mistake. Snezhnaya wasn't the same as Liyue, for its frigid cold was enough to make Dragonspine look like Child(e)'s play. You'd barely remembered to bring a coat with you, not that it mattered much. Even the finest fur from Liyue was deemed useless and flimsy in this frozen land.

"Oh? But you are shivering!" Childe exclaimed when he finally wrapped his arms around you.

The frosty wind of the docks gusted through your skin, threatening to rip your body into shreds. Even with the warmth of his body, you couldn't stop shivering. It felt good to be with him at last, but you needed more than that not to turn into a popsicle.

"Here, let me show you the third best way to warm up."

Before you even knew it, Childe pressed his lips against yours, letting his hands hungrily claim your entire body. The way he touched you was frantic and greedy, his palms lapping over your neck, your waist and lastly, your thighs. You couldn't tell whether he intended to warm you up or seduce you, though you couldn't complain whether it was one or the other.

With the tip of his tongue poking at your bottom lip, Childe pried your mouth open, eager to get a taste. You hummed in delight, pressing your own body tighter against him. The combination of snowflakes and fire water was an add one, yet it remained intoxicating enough for you wish you could take a sip right out of him.

Even when the two of you still stood in the middle of the port, he didn't seem overly concerned over the prying eyes of the people around him. After all, who could deny a Harbinger what was rightfully his?

"What was the first and the second way?" You asked when he pulled away, the heat of his breath following him the second he took a step back.

Bringing a hand around his neck, Childe carefully undid his crimson scarf, the pale shade of his complexion standing out between the thick layers of his winter coat. With the scarf still in his hands, he moved closer to you, wrapping it securely around your own neck.

"Fighting of course. It gets your blood pumping nicely. As for the second one..." He chuckled, a gloved finger tugging a strand of hair behind your ear. "You'll get to see for yourself when we reach home."

Yae Miko

Still salty that I lost the 50-50 on her banner .-.

"Hm? What is my cutie reading?" Miko's voice caught you off guard, forcing your back to jolt against her. "My, my, did I startle you?" She cooed into your ear, entertained by your reaction.

"Miko! Quit sneaking up on me like that."

"As they say, old habits die hard." She smirked, taking a seat next to you.

It wasn't rare for the Guujji of the Grand Narukami Shrine to roam the streets of the city, neglecting her duties or rather assigning them to the unlucky shrine maiden of the day. Everyone revered her, admiring her ability to run a business as well as oversee the shrine, yet as her employee and partner, you knew better than that. She was as sly as she was lazy. Still, it was the duality of her nature that made her all the more exhilarating to you in the first place.

"Slacking again?" You sighed, glancing over at her.

"Guilty as charged. So what is it that you are reading?" Miko asked, peering at the book on your lap.

"It's one of the books from the new batch! The protagonist gets isekai'd to a land full of beautiful and omnipotent kitsune ladies."

"Is that so? Are you not satisfied with the beautiful and omnipotent kitsune lady before you?" She teased, her smirk remaining throughout the conversation.

"That's.... That's not it! Besides, you've never even showed me your tails, fake kitsune lady!" You pouted.

"In that case, how about we fix that?"

Miko moved closer to you, so close that her hair was now tingling your nose. She had that look in her eyes, the one that could only mean she was up to no good. Her purple orbs had narrowed into two perfect slits of amethyst, her eyelashes slowly batting upon her half closed eye lids. Even when you knew of her vile intentions, it was too late for you to resist her allure. At the end, all you could do was repeatedly done, utterly bewitched by her.

"Then... look closely."

Before you could realize what was happening, a pink cloud manifested out of thin air, engulfing the both of you in a welcoming warmth, one that faded into her touch. Having no choice, you closed your eyes, a delighted hum evading Miko as she nullified the distance between you.

Her kiss was as elusive as she was, her lips coming into contact with yours before she pulled away, over and over again until you could feel yourself shuddering with anticipation. Even when her tongue wet your bottom lip, Miko didn't do as much as to slide it in your mouth, merely toying with you as if you were her prey.

"So? What did you think?" She asked, her question sounding more as a taunt while she studied your frustrated form.

"Wh-What?" You were lost, unsure of what she was talking about until you remembered. The tails! "That's cheating! You tricked me, I didn't get to see anything!"

"I warned you, it's not my fault that you closed your eyes."

You kept on pouting, giving her the cold shoulder. She was incorrigible.

"Fine, fine. If you buy this and a couple of more novels, perhaps I wouldn't mind showing what these tails can do... in private."

Heizou

I've literally known him for one day and he's risen to become one of my favorites. He deserves the world and I deserve TO ROLL HIM.

"There you are!" You exclaimed, wiping the sweat off your palms.

At last, this game of hide and seek had come to an end, after more than two hours of scouting the wilderness of Chinju Forest. When you set out this morning, all you wanted to do was check up on Heizou, wondering where he'd disappeared to these days. It wasn't uncommon for him to wander off, chasing after a lead or one of his infamous 'intuitions'. Still, finding him quite literally in the middle of nowhere was not what you expected.

"Oh? If it isn't Y/N!" He grinned, moving past the bushes and the trees. "Have you come to see me? Did you perhaps miss me ?"

"...Yes." You sighed. "You have any idea how long it's been?"

"Four days three hours and fifteen minutes?"

That... was oddly accurate.

"Are you surprised that I kept count? You know I'm a true romantic at heart." Heizou said, his smile softening up once he stood before you.

A couple of twigs and leaves nested in his hair, though he didn't see to mind and truthfully, neither did you. If anything, the disheveled look quite suit him.

"So, what was it this time? Apprehending a wild tanuki?" You joked, earning a giggle from him.

"Something like that."

Unless he planned on revealing his intentions, no good would come out of you questioning him. Besides, he was always like that whenever he took on a new case.

"Are you coming home tonight?"

"Once I catch myself a tanuki, I will." He assured.

"Well then, I'd better get goi-"

"Wait." Placing his index across his lips, he took a thorough look at you as if he was inspecting you. "My intuition tells me that you have something for me."

I do?

"I'm afraid you're in the wrong this time. I came empty handed." You turned your pockets inside out for him to see.

His eyes momentarily darted at your coat, before he shifted his attention back to your eyes. Taking a step closer, he forced you to stumble upon the trunk of a tree, your hands grasping at the rough surface behind.

"Y/N, have you yet to understand that my intuition is never wrong?"

Without giving you the opportunity to protest, Heizou leaned forward, his lively chuckle getting caught between your lips. His hand fell onto your hips, pulling you against him while he bit down playfully, his rough grip contradicting his teasing. You sighed, your fingertips gnawing at the tree, relishing the feeling you'd been so depraved of. It had been so long, too long, you realized.

Heizou always kissed you as if he meant to prove a point and this time was no exception. He was right, you came to realize. There was always something for you to give him, whether that something was your heart, your body or even all you had to give.

Breaking off the kiss, you caught a glimpse of his green orbs glimmering with mischief.

"What else does your intuition say?"

"My intuition tells me that..." He crooked his finger, tapping it lightly against your nose. "I should charge you with obstruction of justice."

"What? Why?"

"Hm? You came here to seduce me, didn't you?"

"I did not!" You were unable to hide your surprise, your jaw nearly dropping at his accusation. He was unbelievable.

"I'm leaving, bye!"

"Damn, that's unfortunate. Very unfortunate." Heizou pouted. "I wouldn't mind turning a blind eye, but if you must go..."

Somehow when you returned home that night, you felt even more frustrated than before.

Beidou

"Has the woman of the hour decided to make her appearance?" You arched a brow, watching as the brunette made her way inside the storage room, a half finished bottle of wine rattling in her hands.

Though you were unsure what the occasion was, the whole crew seemed to be in a great mood. Even when you were in the lowest part of the ship, you were still able to hear the hearty laughter and the rowdy noise from above. With our without her, the party seemed to be going strong.

"Mhm, aren't you glad that you can have me all to yourself?" Beidou exclaimed, closing the door behind her.

" I'd be more glad if you took better care of yourself. You reek of booze!" You frowned, nodding towards the bottle. Even if she could hold her liquor, such great amount could do more harm than good.

"That's just my natural odor! Besides, why shouldn't we celebrate our successes? Come on, Y/N, don't be such a buzzkill. Here, this should help you loosen up." She swung the bottle, ushering for you to take it.

With a sigh, you ended up complying. If the price of getting her to stop drinking for the night was you taking a sip, then perhaps you'd be able to live with that.

Throwing your head back, you felt the sweet taste of dandelion wine along with its welcoming warmth flowing through your body. She was right, it was quite good.

"So what are we celebrating here?" You asked, holding the bottle outside her reach.

Momentarily, you caught sight of Beidou's eyes darting between the bottle and a couple of crates in the far back. Come to think of it, you did inventory every day, yet this was the first time you spotted these ones. That's odd, you thought to yourself as you approached them.

"Is it behind these crates?" You placed a hand on one of the lids.

"No, Y/N, wait!"

Before she had the time to pull your fingers off the box, you were able to take a peak at its contents; more unregistered Inazuman merchandise.

Making the most out of your stunned expression, Beidou snatched the bottle back from your hands, pursing it tight against her pursed lips. A dark red shade dripped onto her chin and clothes, with the majority of the liquor failing to find its target.

"Now what should we do to silence you?" Though a silly smile trembled across her face, her scarlet orbs gleamed with a certain determination, one that had you wondering what her true intentions were.

Freeing her hands of the bottle, Beidou soon had you trapped between the crates and her body, her knee pressing right between your thighs. You gasped, a grave mistake considering how easily you gave her access to your parted lips, her tongue sliding right between.

With one hand wrapped around your waist, she kept you in place, making sure you got to taste the foul taste of the alcohol you detested. However, coming from her lips, you had to admit; it tasted rather sweet. You closed your eyes, forgetting all about the cargo and her illegal activities, merely focusing on how good her tongue felt upon yours.

It didn't take long for her to get carried away. Soon, her other hand had joined the knee between your legs, her fingers kneading at the soft skin of your thighs, crawling higher and higher, until she had your mind spiraling.

"B-Beidou, that's the opposite of silencing." You complained, sighing to her touch.

The sound of her chuckle forced your eyes to open up, peering at her pleased expression.

"I'll let you be as loud as you want to, if you can keep this our little secret."

Bonus? Kinda! Like I said, I'm not sure if I misread your request by doing it in a small scenario kind of way, so I'll include some headcanons here ;-;

Xiao:

He is usually hesitant to kiss you. Doesn't take initiative most of the time, allowing his fears of tainting you to take the better of him. On the rare occasion he does, it's full of frustration, directed at the world, the gods, himself and yes, even his feelings for you. Mostly that.

Also, most definitely all of his kisses have a romantic backdrop, considering they mostly happen underneath the moonlight or generally out in the open.

Xiao is especially fond of kissing your back and shoulders. He is shy and kind of inexperienced, so when you have your back on him, it gives him the freedom to do as he pleases.

Childe:

He can be pretty cheeky with his kisses, demanding that you pay attention to him wherever you are. The world doesn't matter to him as long as you keep your eyes at him and your lips against his. Though he can be very generous with his teasing, he is also plenty affectionate, especially when returning from one of his trips. Possessive and playful, it's not surprising that he can be like an actual child.

One of his favorite spots to kiss, is your collarbones and neck. He loves decorating you with pretty hickeys that are sure to stay, and if you complain about it, he won't mind wrapping his scarf around you. The idea of you wearing his clothes is exhilarating to him.

Yae Miko:

Speaking of cheekiness, Yae probably invented that. She uses her kisses both to reward, bribe, and also to tease you. She loves seeing your flustered expressions, seriously, the more you blush, the cuter you appear to her. Enjoys being the one who takes the lead, although if you try mixing things up, she won't say not to that. If anything, she might praise you too.

Absolutely loves kissing you between your thighs and breasts. She tries many things on you to see what induces the best reaction. Sometimes it can be ticklish, as she might chuckle against your skin, or let a couple of her tails loose in the heat of the moment. She only does such things for you though.

Heizou:

He is the kind of guy who acts as if he is going to kiss you, builds up an entire mood around it and then just leaves you hanging. Loves his mind games and as long as you can keep up with him, he'll be glued to you. Sometimes he can be teasing and overly flirty, even in public, but if you are the one to kiss him, he'll melt. Even if it doesn't show, Heizou can be emotionally attached and will almost always greet you with a kiss.

Okay yes, his hangout event got to me but, neck / ear kisses. Doesn't mind moving slow and taking his time, considering he finds entertainment in making you guess what he'll do next. With his face buried in your nape, you can't see what he is doing. You can only feel his hot breath against your skin, his teeth gently grazing your lobe as they nibble against it and of course, his lighthearted chuckle. After all, he is quite giddy.

Beidou:

She is quite assertive and it shows. The majority of the time she kisses you, she does so with her entire body. Beidou likes to keep you close, cupping your face with her palms or wrapping her arms around your waist and shoulders. She doesn't shy off physical contact and that's why sometimes her kisses don't seem too innocent to the ones around. Not that she cares, after all, you are her most prized possession on board.

When away from prying eyes, Beidou loves to kiss your stomach and your thighs. Your skin is particularly soft there and your taste is better than the finest alcohol she could get her hands on. She is someone who'd prioritize making you feel good and would probably try her best to do so.

Hi everyone, it's been a while. I've been busy with finishing school and work but I'm happy to say that I'll be back to writing for a bit. Thank you for commissioning me once again! On a funny note, I was planning on writing this gender-neutral but hearing silly girl makes me weak in the knees, even though I think I only used it 2-3 times in this fic haha.

Beidou could not be more delighted by the turn of events.

The waverider is small and cramped, only built for one person to ride comfortably. It is only because of some "unfortunate" circumstances that you find yourself and Beidou pressed side by side on the floor, miles away from land. If Beidou was honest, she could easily navigate this tiny waverider back to Liyues port and get you both safe and sound. But when an opportunity is so desperately presenting itself, she learned to take it and not let go. When you came to her for help, asked her if she would travel with you for a short expedition, and only her. Well, that's how you landed yourself in the middle of the ocean, pressed shoulder to shoulder with the captain of The Crux, and whatever happens next is only between you, her, and the sea.

"Tell me, since there's nothing to do while we wait, you got anyone back home waiting for our safe return?" Beidou teases as she bumps her shoulder with yours, a cheeky grin on her face that morphs into a laugh at the immediate flustered expression on your face. You're quick to raise your hands and shake your head that no, you don't "have anyone back home waiting", nor has there ever been anyone waiting for you.

"Aw, that's kinda cute. Spending too much time running around the world?" Beidou asks, bringing her knee up to rest her head against it as she peers at you at an angle. The soft lanterns inside the waverider make her glow in a soft warmth, the gold in her ruby eyes shining brighter that you almost find yourself lost in the melting colours.

"Well...not exactly. I just never had the chance to find someone else interested in me that way. Can I ask why you're so interested in my love life Captain Beidou?" you scrutinize her closely, fiddling with the cuff of your shirt sleeve, the only indication that you're a bit shy to talk about your inexperience. Your embarrassment is only amplified when Beidou ruffles your hair before moving a few strands over your ear so she can get a better look at your pink face.

"Don't worry that pretty head off. We're just indulging in some girl talk, aren't we? No harm in that. But if it does make you uncomfortable, then I guess we can go back to our silent game," Beidou shrugs unbothered as she leans back to give a bit more space between the two of you before you quickly shuffle closer to her. Despite how warm the inside of the waverider is becoming, you shyly cling to her.

"N-No, it's fine. It's...kind of nice talking to you like this. I've heard so many of your stories around Liyue, and everyone thinks of you as an icon. You always seem in control of any situation, and I don't know, it's kind of admiring," you trail off as Beidou blinks at you before a genuine smile graces her lips. She leans back to press her body next to yours, mood brighter at your confession, and leans down next to your ear.

He’s made his peace with loss. Still, he hides his shaking hands from you, instead drawing a reassuring smile, one of those that you used to love. When he would let you trace the edges with your fingertips. When he would feel flowers blooming underneath your touch.

I understand. It’s okay, you can go. You press your body to his one last time, a heartfelt attempt at a proper goodbye at the wrong time. He hovers his arms over you and hesitates. He fears that, were he to hold you, he would never want to let go of you again.

Mondstadt, the place Lisa called home for a long time, is crumbling and devastated. Everything rests festering in the ashen and crimson remnants of battle. And among all the broken buildings and columns of smoke, there’s you.

But she knows you’re the only one who can salvage the situation, so she opens her hands and she lets you go. Her jagged heart bleeding, emerald eyes blurry and how you didn’t turn your back.

I’ve heard the sky looks different when you’ve got someone you love up there, She whispers to the ashen moon above. I will look for you fondly in every night sky to come.

Childe

Childe grabs your arm. His grip isn’t tight, you could easily break free of it if you wanted. He’s not stopping you. It’s a silent plea. A wish for you to stay by his side.

I know that look in your eyes, and I think it’s a terrible idea. You catch the way his bottom lip barely quivers, but you’re too haunted by the scenery around you to mention it. Even with your eyes open, you can see it all again, feel your hands wet with blood, ashes cluttering beneath your nails, your friends being ripped open all over again, their flesh cut by the bite of metal.

It’s the one idea we have left, and it needs to be me. You have people waiting for you at home. You watch him bite back the words, swallow the need to tell you that you’re his home, the only place he ever wants to return to. But there’s logic in your reasoning, and he’s always followed your every command. He’s only ever weak when it comes to you.

It was fun, wasn’t it? Blinking against the burning of his eyes, he draws an easy smile for you. He will remember you as you are in this instant. And you let him press his lips to your temple, your cheekbone, the shape of your nose. I hope I was not mistaken in letting you steal my heart.

Beidou

Beidou watches the fire consume the streets she’s walked on millions of times, columns of smoke rising above her head, walls coming down and stone blocks smashing against the ground at the motion. And in the midst of chaos and war, she sees you– your figure running towards the ashen city. She grabs you by the hand. You stop in your tracks when she says, Where do you think you’re going? You let her wrap her strong arms around you, feel her hand at the base of your neck like she’s done a million times before. How empty of her to still be so full of you, right when she’s about to lose you for the last time.

II all of genshin playable characters ► almost 1k ↺ white weapons; just character analysis

⇄ I will preface this by saying, child characters such as Diona, Klee, Qiqi and Sayu are not included because since they are literal children, I think their body is too young to be affected by a thing such as years of weapon use. Furthermore, I couldn’t include the likes of Baizhu or Scaramouche as they are not yet playable or have revealed their weapon.

⇄ second, general predisposition and genetics and your personal perception might differ with this analysis but this is purely me being a nerd about research and character analysis. feel free to come around my blog to discuss if you want but if you disagree don’t take it too personally.

⇄ also, this is purely formed from speculation and research since I am no trainer or weapon expert.

Each and every Genshin playable character is bound to be in top physical shape considering what they have to go through on a canonical basis, with slight differences depending on their human or Archon nature, but in general, their constant specific weapon use is bound to divide them and cause them to develop specific characteristics in muscle built and fighting details, independently from which specific character we would like to focus on;

Generally speaking, this weapon doesn’t hold too much mass compared to others, but still requires quite a bit of training to be able to wield it properly without being fatigued, which does result in the wielders having quite a good form in their upper body, but never too buff. Sword fighting also requires the fighter in question to be quick on their feet and capable of quickly switching their weapon’s orientation, which would result in faster reflexes and quite a bit of flexibility, most of it concentrated in the upper body. Also, there might be a slight asymmetry in favour of their dominant wielding arm, unless they are ambidextrous. They are also likely to have calluses form on their dominant hand and suffer more easily from wrist or shoulder strains in the same arm.

You might think they are similar to sword users but considering the sheer size and power a claymore can hold, you wouldn’t be more wrong. In general, these users need to be on the buffer side to be able to swing their weapon with the ease they hold in the game, which involves both the upper and lower body. They not only are likely to be built as much as their body allows but also lack the presence of a model like a defined six pack, their core muscles are more likely to be thicker and trained than for just show, and their lower body needs to be capable of cushioning the kickback of the claymore’s impact without throwing them off balance. Similar to sword wielders they will also likely develop hand calluses but this time on both of their hands, but different from then they are more likely to suffer from back problems, usually in the lower back and all have some sort of posture problem as they tend to be hunched over for most of their fighting.

The first three weapon categories of weapons available in this game tend to be quite similar with only slight differences, considering the way these weapons are used could be easily confused but this wielder's built would resemble much more a boxer and so would result in a built that sits halfway in between the previous two, as they require much more charge to strike their weapon to damage rather than a sword. They also result to be much more agile in their movements as they would work more on arm coordination rather than footwork to be able to use their weapon efficiently. They also would tend to have thicker thighs and broader shoulders to help balance out the polearm both in its weight and length. Again, unless inhuman, they are cursed with some hand calluses like the previous characters and would tend to be prone to shoulder pains.

Xiao, Thoma, Zhongli, Hu Tao, Xianling, Yunjin, Raiden Shogun, Rosaria, Shenhe;

Here is the first anomaly of the armoury, this is a weapon that requires sheer will more than anything else from its wielder, so these users don’t have much muscle definition nor mass more than they would gain from regular aerobic training and so tend to have quite an undefined body. On the other hand, they maximise in their stamina, as their weapon runs on their energy and they would need double the amount any other weapon user would require for the same fight. Also, the strength of the attacks is much more sensitive to their mood, with things such as anxiety or fear hindering their performance. They are much more prone to migraines and headaches and require to subject themselves to regular meditation sessions.

Last but not least the archers, these characters value their upper body and core strength and resistance over their lower half as it is required from their weapon of choice, with also a slight asymmetry in favour of the dominant arm, which they use to pull on the bowstring. In addition to this particular detail, which would make them still appear to be on the leaner side, they need extraordinary coordination to recharge their weapon without looking for a new arrow as they need to keep their eye on their target. They also have exceptional eyesight because of it. As for setbacks, in addition to various calluses they might form from constant handling of their bow in one hand, they need to be careful and wear the proper protection on their dominant hand, non-dominant forearm and chest, because the bowstring can cause burns and bruises if not properly prepared, with the additional chest bindings for afab archers.

Venti*, Tartaglia**, Aloy, Amber, Fischl, Ganyu, Yoimiya, Kujuou Sara;

* Venti uses a crossbow, which sits on his shoulder and instead of the bowstring burn will probably cause damage from the constant kickback.

** Childe is a double weapon user, so the asymmetry is likely to be less noticeable as his second weapon of choice is similar to a spear.
