Baizhu: Whenever the cold winters of Liyue roll around, Baizhu has to make sure that both him and Changsheng are cozy because if they don't. They both can fall ill very quickly. Baizhu normally wraps a scarf around his neck so both him and Changsheng are warm due to the fact that Changsheng normally wraps around Baizhu's neck

Beidou: Since Beidou wears an eyepatch, a lot of people have made theories on what's behind it. Is it just a regular eye? Does she have a terrible scar underneath? Is it due to a battle? Who did she fight? Spoiler alert: It's the first one, but she always gets a laugh out of the really crazy ones

Chongyun: Chongyun is secretly really good at checkers. He takes pride in it along with embarrassment since he has no clue how to play chess

Ganyu: Ganyu absolutely loves the quiet and hates loud noises, but there's this one sound that she will forever despise, and that is windchimes. Every time she hears them, she just wants to rip it off of the ceiling and break all the metal bars in half. Of course, she never does, but she'll immediately leave if she hears it. Heaven forbid someone gets her a windchime as a present

Hu tao: Being a director of a funeral parlor and talking with ghosts for a long time somewhat impacts your vision on mortals, so Hu tao has grown a sixth sense of reading people. She can tell whether they're lying, worried, or pretending to be fine whenever they are fuming with anger. Sometimes, it gets a bit bad that she misses out on social cues

Keqing: With the large amount of paperwork Keqing puts on herself, she offen gets hands cramps. Sometimes, they get so bad that she has to take a break for a few minutes so the bones of her hands don't feel like they're about to break apart

Ningguang: Since Ningguang is the richest person in Tevyat, she occasionally spends her mora on random items just for the fun of it. Her favorite items she's bought over the recent years are candles. She's grown so attached to it that she's started up a collection

Qiqi: Since Qiqi needs a notebook to remember everyone she's met, Yaoyao decided one day that she would help Qiqi with the notebook, decorating it in cute stickers, highlighters, doodles, and occasional photographs

Shenhe: Shenhe has dissociative amnesia, specifically generalized. This means that she offen forgets where she went, what she did, who she spoke to, what she experienced, or even who she is

Xiangling: Xiangling, being the spicy cook herself, she doesn't actually check how much spices she puts in her food for the customers. Does she still use measuring cups? Yes, but sometimes they can be a bit overfilled

Xiao: When all of the yakshas were still around. Normally, the girls would help Xiao with his red eye makeup, only after they died tragically. The last yaksha had to learn how to do his own makeup, to say it was hard... was an understatement. Xiao eventually went to Zhongli for help, the geo archon being met with a sad Xiao, looking at the floor with messy red eye makeup. Don't worry, Zhongli taught Xiao, and he got the hang of it

Xingqiu: Xingqiu secretly has a condition called vasovagal syncope, which means that his body makes him pass out whenever he gets injected with a needle. Before, he thought he had a fear of needles, but when he saw Baizhu about it, he told the young writer that he actually had vasovagal syncope. Which made much more sense to Xingqiu afterward

Xinyan: Xinyan secretly loves having fun on playgrounds, but especially the swings. Whenever she comes across a playground with swings, she'll immediately stop what she's doing, run up, and try to get as high as she could

Yanfei: When in the chasm with the rest of the group, Yanfei actually got slight burn scars when fighting off those enemies due to how hard she was hitting her fireball

Yaoyao: You would expect Yaoyao to be another one of those kids whose toys are all dirty from dragging them around in the mud or one of those kids who forgets their stuffed animal, but Yaoyao is the complete opposite! She always double checks that Yuegui is in her basket, and she doesn't have to worry about Yuegui getting dirty since it's easily washable

Yelan: Whenever Yelan gets bored from time to time, getting stuck dealing with paperwork instead of going out on fun adventures. She'll train her hand to do neat tricks with her pen. She's gotten so good at it to the point where she'll zone out while her fingers mechanically rapidly spin around her pen

Yunjin: The reason why Yunjin's stage is normally warm colors with lantern lights in the background is because she can't stand flashing lights. It makes her feel dizzy, and she can never concentrate

Zhongli: Being an archon, over the years, Zhongli has come to be an expert in fashion. Just take a look in the history books and see some of the outfits he's worn! People have sometimes begged him to let him help them with fashion, but that's Zhongli's secret talent and only his. No if's or but's

It was your birthday today! You were quite excited to enjoy the day. You even planned a group picnic with your s/o and all the amazing friends you've made along the way. But, when you were sending out letters you forgot to mention what the occasion the picnic was for. You only realized this after they had already been sent out. You assumed it was okay because these were your friends, surely they already knew what the occasion was.

But, when the time for the picnic came, you were sitting next to your s/o while everybody chatted away. And yet, you heard not one "happy birthday"

It was a bit disappointing, of course, but you weren't going to let that ruin the picnic you'd worked so hard to plan! Even if they don't remember, you did, and that's all that mattered. Time to let yourself have an amazing day!

"Happy Birthday, [name]!" Yelan, finally arriving at the picnic sits on the other side of you. She then hands you a small gift, and gives you a smile. This surprised you, someone actually remembered.

It seems you weren't the only one surprised, but their was a certain someone who looked even more shocked than everyone else.

When the cake is done, she puts some candles on it and lights them on fire.

Instead of singing, she gently hugs you from behind and rests her chin on your head.

"I'm sorry, my Quigxin...I love you so much, and I can't believe I'd forget a day as special to me as one that celebrates you. I'm so lucky you were brought into this world, I couldn't be more thankful. Go on, blow out the candles. Make your wish. And...Happy Birthday!"

Can you give me headcanons of Childe, Zhongli and Ningguang reacting to Snezhnayan diplomats having been assaulted, stripped, and hung upside down in Liyue public. The victims all had the same threatening notes attached to them that consists of denouncing Snezhnaya, the Tsaritsa and its citizens of being rotten, decadent, and depraved with iniquity and also invasive vermins in better cultures of Teyvat. They deserve a severe punishment from Heaven. (the victims are still alive btw)

Tortured Diplomats Reactions (TW)

Childe had the misfortune of coming across the scene in the morning, which was a horrifying sight.

He didn't know them personally, but seeing his own people like this left a pit in his stomach.

They were all bloody and bruised, their naked bodies displayed for everyone to see. They had been cut, beaten, and abused with different instruments.

The worst of it? They were still alive. They had been awake for every agonizing moment. They were abused and hung like a slab of meat for everyone to watch.

Childe was frozen in the crowd of people, unable to move or even breathe; his heart was pounding in his chest.

It wasn't long after that the millelith arrived, dispersing the crowd as they started working on helping the diplomats.

Of course, Childe knew he wasn't a good guy, but these diplomats? They didn't deserve this treatment.

After seeing something like this, Childe started viewing Liyue differently, less of a place he could call a home away from home but somewhere dangerous.

Zhongli has seen plenty of carnage over the years; he had even been part of it. But he thought in this new period, it wasn't necessary anymore.

This is why when he came across the scene on his morning walk, he was shocked, to say the least.

The Millelith had just arrived and tried to get the crowds away from the diplomats who were watching in horror.

Someone had taken a knife to the poor souls, cutting away at their bodies to torture, not kill.

They were covered in so much blood you could hardly even see their skin color. It was clear that they were still alive, but all of them were too exhausted to move.

It was almost taunting how the Diplomat's clothes and personal items lay just a few feet away. It was clear that their things had been looked through as well, as everything was trashed.

Zhongli wanted to step in, but he was just a regular civilian now. He knew that Liyue would have to deal with this on their own.

He knew the repercussions would be extreme, and Liyue would enter a dark period. But he had faith that they could work past it and catch the people who did this one way or another.

Zhongli was right. More killings happened of Diplomats and Liyue citizens alike; it became an all-out war between the two groups.

The last thing Ningguang expected to see when she was pulled away from her afternoon tea was this.

Three diplomats were stripped and hung upside down for everyone to see. They had been beaten, their bodies were black and blue with steel pipes lying a few feet away from them.

They had notes taped to their bodies, denouncing Snezhnayaas as a bunch of rotten criminals who deserve punishment.

Ningguang was frozen in place for a moment, just staring at the people in horror. She couldn't imagine who would do something like this; it wouldn't accomplish anything but raise tensions.

Once she got her wits about herself, she started yelling orders, having everyone leave the crime scene and get the Diplomats down from where they hung.

She went into work mode immediately, ensuring that these people got medical attention and then working on damage control.

She spent hours upon hours trying to find out who did this. She wanted retribution for the people harmed in Liyue, not to mention to help protect Liyues own reputation.

She almost became obsessed with trying to find the criminals, but everyone kept quiet, especially now that tension was rising in Liyue. Fights were breaking out, and threatening messages were being passed around

It wouldn't be long before this blew up into something Ningguang couldn't fix

I’m doing a “spin the wheel” thing for all of the genshin characters and making a headcanon page for them if I get them! I got Ningguang first so here! (All Headcanons are just my preferences of mine, if you don’t like them, dni)

Regularly sees Yun Jin preform and loves it

In love with Beidou and always drops hints

When she isn’t swamped with work, her, Ganyu and Keqing have some tea together

She always wins when playing chess

She loves playing chess with Zhongli because it’s always a challenge (And neither one of them really win)

She spends time with the children down at the harbor when work is finished so that she can have a connection with the populace

II all of genshin playable characters ► almost 1k ↺ white weapons; just character analysis

⇄ I will preface this by saying, child characters such as Diona, Klee, Qiqi and Sayu are not included because since they are literal children, I think their body is too young to be affected by a thing such as years of weapon use. Furthermore, I couldn’t include the likes of Baizhu or Scaramouche as they are not yet playable or have revealed their weapon. 

⇄ second, general predisposition and genetics and your personal perception might differ with this analysis but this is purely me being a nerd about research and character analysis. feel free to come around my blog to discuss if you want but if you disagree don’t take it too personally.

⇄ also, this is purely formed from speculation and research since I am no trainer or weapon expert.

Each and every Genshin playable character is bound to be in top physical shape considering what they have to go through on a canonical basis, with slight differences depending on their human or Archon nature, but in general, their constant specific weapon use is bound to  divide them and cause them to develop specific characteristics in muscle built and fighting details, independently from which specific character we would like to focus on;

Generally speaking, this weapon doesn’t hold too much mass compared to others, but still requires quite a bit of training to be able to wield it properly without being fatigued, which does result in the wielders having quite a good form in their upper body, but never too buff. Sword fighting also requires the fighter in question to be quick on their feet and capable of quickly switching their weapon’s orientation, which would result in faster reflexes and quite a bit of flexibility, most of it concentrated in the upper body. Also, there might be a slight asymmetry in favour of their dominant wielding arm, unless they are ambidextrous. They are also likely to have calluses form on their dominant hand and suffer more easily from wrist or shoulder strains in the same arm.

You might think they are similar to sword users but considering the sheer size and power a claymore can hold, you wouldn’t be more wrong. In general, these users need to be on the buffer side to be able to swing their weapon with the ease they hold in the game, which involves both the upper and lower body. They not only are likely to be built as much as their body allows but also lack the presence of a model like a defined six pack, their core muscles are more likely to be thicker and trained than for just show, and their lower body needs to be capable of cushioning the kickback of the claymore’s impact without throwing them off balance. Similar to sword wielders they will also likely develop hand calluses but this time on both of their hands, but different from then they are more likely to suffer from back problems, usually in the lower back and all have some sort of posture problem as they tend to be hunched over for most of their fighting.

Chongyun, Razor, Arataki Itto, Diluc, Noelle, Xinyan, Beidou, Eula;

The first three weapon categories of weapons available in this game tend to be quite similar with only slight differences, considering the way these weapons are used could be easily confused but this wielder's built would resemble much more a boxer and so would result in a built that sits halfway in between the previous two, as they require much more charge to strike their weapon to damage rather than a sword. They also result to be much more agile in their movements as they would work more on arm coordination rather than footwork to be able to use their weapon efficiently. They also would tend to have thicker thighs and broader shoulders to help balance out the polearm both in its weight and length. Again, unless inhuman, they are cursed with some hand calluses like the previous characters and would tend to be prone to shoulder pains.

Xiao, Thoma, Zhongli, Hu Tao, Xianling, Yunjin, Raiden Shogun, Rosaria, Shenhe;

Here is the first anomaly of the armoury, this is a weapon that requires sheer will more than anything else from its wielder, so these users don’t have much muscle definition nor mass more than they would gain from regular aerobic training and so tend to have quite an undefined body. On the other hand, they maximise in their stamina, as their weapon runs on their energy and they would need double the amount any other weapon user would require for the same fight. Also, the strength of the attacks is much more sensitive to their mood, with things such as anxiety or fear hindering their performance. They are much more prone to migraines and headaches and require to subject themselves to regular meditation sessions.

Last but not least the archers, these characters value their upper body and core strength and resistance over their lower half as it is required from their weapon of choice, with also a slight asymmetry in favour of the dominant arm, which they use to pull on the bowstring. In addition to this particular detail, which would make them still appear to be on the leaner side, they need extraordinary coordination to recharge their weapon without looking for a new arrow as they need to keep their eye on their target. They also have exceptional eyesight because of it. As for setbacks, in addition to various calluses they might form from constant handling of their bow in one hand,  they need to be careful and wear the proper protection on their dominant hand, non-dominant forearm and chest, because the bowstring can cause burns and bruises if not properly prepared, with the additional chest bindings for afab archers.

Venti*, Tartaglia**, Aloy, Amber, Fischl, Ganyu, Yoimiya, Kujuou Sara;

* Venti uses a crossbow, which sits on his shoulder and instead of the bowstring burn will probably cause damage from the constant kickback.

** Childe is a double weapon user, so the asymmetry is likely to be less noticeable as his second weapon of choice is similar to a spear.

most people would think she was the type to wake up super early, but no

she treasures her beauty sleep and knows how to take care of herself, even if it might be for the wrong reasons (*cough* mora)

has a very strict schedule and always follows her routines to the T so she wakes up every day at 7:00 to start her morning routine

it doesn't take her very long since it's not the main part of her day— it's mostly to look presentable for the public

she takes a quick dip in her bathing chamber (but not long enough for her to get pruny— also she smells like violet grass)

then she puts her clothes on and sprays some perfume, usually they're from ying'er

afterwards, she calls her servants to help style her hair (she's tried to do it herself but it takes such a long time)

while they're doing her hair, she puts on makeup

she makes sure to not move too much since she doesn't want to make it harder for them (despite them saying they don't mind)

that's it usually

her favourite part of the day is the morning

she considers it very important, and it's one of the only times she can relax

it also makes her feel good about herself— she's preparing for the day ahead and the sensation of working has always given her joy

--Ningguang Headcannons: Platonic and Romantic

Warnings: spoilers for Ningguang's hangout(?)

Platonic - ★

Ningguang is a very busy person, so she probably doesn't get to hangout with her friends as much as she would like.

But when she does get the chance, she likes to go out on walks with them--preferably in a place where not many people are active.

That way, they can go on treasure hunts. She could just buy pretty much anything, sure. But I feel like she prefers to earn her keep, since the reward of hard work feels nicer.

After these treasure hunts, she'll treat her friends to some food and drinks since they've been outside all day.

On other occasions, if her friend likes shopping, I think she'd gladly take them thrift shopping. Just walking through the town and looking at shops she'd never usually look at.

Ningguang cherishes all the moments she has with her friends, since there's too little times where they can hang out. So she always tries to make these small little hangouts worth while.

When she goes out on business trips, sometimes she'll buy her friends little trinkets and souvenirs if it's a place they really wanted to go. She'd even take them there if it's not as important.

She doesn't mind letting her friends vent to her, after all, she cares about their well being! Sometimes she'll even give advice if she has any.

Romantic - ♡

Ningguang loves her s/o very much, so she tries to take them on as many trips as possible. If they can't go, she'll be a bit disappointed, but she'll bring them as many souvenirs and pictures as she can.

When it's a calmer day and she's not to busy, she'll brush/comb her s/o's hair. (If)

As for dates, Ningguang will do picnics for more casual dates. She will make her s/o's favorites and her s/o will make hers. (Unless they can't cook, then she will prepare the food part and her s/o will plan the other things.)

Another popular date spot with her and her s/o is the beach! The picnics are held there sometimes.

She'll gladly make sand castles with her s/o if it's something that they enjoy doing. And if they like fish, she will fish them some for their meal later.

I don't think that Ningguang would swim a whole bunch, maybe some days, but not every time. But when she does swim with her s/o, she always has fun.

Her s/o's smile is what makes her the most happy, so she tries to find ways to see it as much as she can. Whether it be getting something they've always wanted, or taking them out to different places.

When it's her s/o's birthday, she pays more attention to what they want rather than what she'd like to do for them.

If her s/o is a party person, then all her work goes into planning a surprise party. If they're more introverted, she'll just take them out on a special date of their choice.

As for comfort, she really loves her s/o, so she'll do anything she can to help them with their problems.

If it's been a really rough day, then she'll give them a hug and a kiss on their head. Whatever they need. She'll even hold them while they rest their head in the crook of her neck.
