The Hare and the Heart The Witcher Wild Hunt | Weavess & Ciri | Explicit | dreams & nightmares Dead Dove. Warnings for cannibalism, vore, bestiality, etc etc. See full tag set on AO3. Weavess has a dream and Ciri is brought unwillingly along for the ride.
The memory-inside-a-dream is full of nostalgia, it’s a delicious taste of stomach acid tingling in her mouth. She longs for her sisters, for the days of comfort when she was loved and feared. She yearns for her beloved pet. Ciri sinks into her nausea inside the mind of Weavess and she dreams the Lady’s dream. Ciri can’t stop the Lady’s feelings from burning her from the inside.
Weavess is hungry and lonely where she sleeps in a faraway land, deep inside the mountains where the Child of the Elder Blood cannot find her. She misses Ištikimas, her pride and joy. Oh how she cuddled him close, pet his mottled coat and played with his long and fluffy tail. She fed her beloved hare, she fed him all of her heart.
Weavess dreams her favorite memories and sees through Ištikimas’ eyes. He runs into the forest, darting through the grasses and over hills, dodging the feet of stags and bandits. He listens with his long ears to all the whispers in the land land, he feels the magical vibrations of all the creatures. He watches for his mother, he listens for his mother.
The summer solstice has passed and the festivals honoring the Ladies are over. The villagers have returned to their homes, but Ištikimas always remains. He is constant and steadfast in his love.
Ištikimas is late. His worry and anticipation propels him faster, with Mother sitting in the back of his mind. She is him and Ištikimas is she, and he feels her hunger keenly. He runs and runs, deciding to take a shortcut through the hollow in order to reach the camp.
There are three meals he must retrieve and it’s his job to be sure they are prepared for the Ladies’ tastes. He must go with great haste. There’s nothing worse than waiting for your dinner.
Ciri’s heart breaks as she drifts into the mind of Ištikimas inside Weavess’ memory. The Lady has consumed him so thoroughly. The long-eared hare has blood-red eyes and a sense of smell that would rival a witcher’s.

Returning to Velen { The Witcher 3 : Next Gen } ( I have never played the "bad ending" in my own game play, although I have pondered what Geralt might have felt in the aftermath. The anguish of Ciri disappearing into the White Frost, the dreadful sense of desperation in knowing you failed after so many harsh trials and the blind vengeance and devil may care reaction in tracking down the final Crone and making her pay for it all in blood, even if that blood is yours. )

I am also asking about Cassa's hot girl summer of 1268 😳
ah hot girl summer of 1268.
Tumblr media
cassa has been on her own for a while again during that time. frankengang (another previous lil arc) have all went their separate ways, siomon has been silent for years, and cassa's condition keeps getting worse. the lonliness and voices and visions are eating at her. the population only grows more hostile at her preseance. so like any good Velen girl dressed in her best and flowers in her hair, she finally seeks out the Crones during their Sabbath.
only the Crones take Cassa's presence in the Sabbath as a direct threat from She Who Knows (who if it wasnt clear, has been whispering in Cassa's mind since forever). so the Crones communicate to Thecla to tell the villagers to get rid of her any means necessary, and a violent altercation happens between them and Cassa, who doesn't put up a good fight. she is essentially chased all the way down Bald Mountain, bloody and mostly broken, until she trips into a muddy ditch and left for dead.
that's when She Who Knows finds enough of an opening to directly speak to her, and create a sort of deal with her. maybe possess her a bit, but not enough to manage to get Cassa to free her from her prison. but enough to terrorize the villages that worship the Crones, that is when she teaches Cassa her own secrets of Golemancy, and Cassa directs her rage after years of abuse from those villagers in the form of mud golems which she sends to attack and destroy each night
Samuiel (another witcher and friend and basically a construct of cassa) comes back to the area, and does his best to both protect the villages and Cassandra from each other, but Cassandra is far too angry to listen to his pleas for her to stop.
in 1270, for unknown reasons, Cassa ceases her attacks; and in 1272 she falls into a coma. worry not samuiel is there to watch over her, with extra guests to show up in the future :)

for the ask game: Tell me all about Keira Metz 💃
First impression
I was meh to bleh on Keira at the start; she is so very incredibly Written By A (straight white cis) Man in the games, and although Sapkowski does a little better I had bounced off the books HARD and hadn't read Blood of Elves yet. So I didn't really like her, because she's a walking sexist stereotype. (I still was very careful to save her so she could come to Kaer Morhen, because I am absolutely that kind of person)
Impression now
Keira my beloved. If you just pry her open a little all of the Written By A Man stuff becomes much more interesting, because it (mostly) becomes something she's deliberately putting on— and that is a fascinating concept, and allows you to dig into what she's really thinking and feeling as she goes through these motions! I mean, I think she probably does hate dirt and rats and everything, but she's a smart gal! She has an interesting internal life going on!
Favorite moment
We gotta ask? The brass knuckles, of course! Fuck Artaud Terranova UP!
Idea for a story
I actually want to expand more on Keira's time in Velen. There's room for some really good casefic as she tries to investigate why Velen is unaffected by the plague, and tries to get ahold of Alexander's notes, while the Crones are trying to influence her... and then Keira just walks lucid into the dreams they're sending her like WHAT UP LADIES I AM A GENUINE SORCERESS AND COULD PROBABLY BLAST YOU OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH and they go OH SHIT WRONG WITCH TO MESS WITH and never try to contact her again
Unpopular opinion
I honestly don't know if I have one!
Favorite relationship
Lambert/Keira, full stop. I want the story of these two falling in love despite how different on surface and how picky they both are!! It's complex!
Favorite headcanon
Absolute all time favorite headcanon is that Keira is intersex, as seen in Aretuza Craftsmanship by @bomberqueen17

something wild and untamed / cruel and proud / beautiful & sometimes evil
SORCERESS. ENCHANTRESS. Mage.
[ eva green, cis woman, she/her, 32/200 ] we’ve followed [ Nereinne of Gors Velen ] for awhile now, the [ MAGE ] has been in Skellige for [ on and off throughout her life but has only recently returned ]. They found a true kinship within [ The Lodge of Sorceresses ]. They’re known to be [ DECEITFUL ] and [ POWERFUL ]. They often remind us of [ the dark night when the moon is blood and the night sky cold & silver, ink-black velvet skirts that billow like sails on a burning sea / radiance and heat & the smell of crushed lavender ]. Our thread has already been woven on what their future is looking like, but we’re eager to see the [ SORCERESS ] experience it.
inspired by: Yennefer of Vengerberg, Morrigan & Morgaine le fay
name: nereinne ( of gors velen / of the deadwight wilds )
age: 32/200
race: she is of an unnatural origin of olden sylph (nymph) and part aen saevherne elf blood / mage. Her Mother, a powerful sorceress herself, never gave birth to her: she, powerful witch of the Deadwight Wilds, forever dabbling in necromancy and ancient forbidden dark magics, bound old sylvan spirits to the womb of a half human, half elf handmaid, and borne of it, a daughter of Chaos, terribly powerful and full of ancient magics: the death of her natural mother further nourished Morgante's power, who meant to sacrifice her daughter as she had done before with other mages and magical creatures, to harness their Chaos and bind it to hers, meaning to make of herself, a Goddess, almost. The most powerful woman in the world.
gender: cis woman
occupation: Sorceress
stories • musings • aesthetic • the lady
ORIGINS
daughter of Chaos, pitiless and powerful - Nereinne of the Wilds, was born in the sacred groves of Deadwight one moonless night with neither sun nor star to light her path - her cries, a bloodless wound, an offering to Morrigan, to olds gods of strange lands - to maiden, mother, crone. An offering to the Queen of the Veil.
Nereinne is the daughter of Morgante of Gors Velen, the legendary Witch of the Deadwight Wilds who has reputedly dabbled in the darkest of magics and ended the lives of scores of magical creatures to harness their Chaos for her; she has lived for well over four centuries.
Her mother: she who refuses to bow; she who wrecks destruction gladly for all the ages of man. Sylph, they had often called her. Spirit. And that she had been- more Nymph than woman, possessed by spirits from beyond the natural world after centuries upon centuries of prowling the realms beyond and dabbling in forbidden magic.
An apostate mage, who had once been a powerful sorceress of the conclave. Accused of dabbling with forbidden blood magics, goetia & necromancy. Accused of being a member of the conspiracy, which murdered the king whom she served. She had then been, married to a powerful diplomat of the Kingdom of Redania; and yet, the life that swelled her belly, had been unnatural - for every soul alive and dead well knew- a mage could not give life to that which chaos had claimed as its price. And yet... She had ( only it had been something else growing inside of her, a demon - a bes, bound to her blood, her body becoming a vessel for it as long as it gave her that which she desired.)
She was captured and imprisoned, only for her to disappear into the Deadwight wilds one bitter, sunless dawn.
And thus Nereinne was raised by Morgante in isolation from civilization. Mor instilled a distrust of humankind in Nereinne, strictly forbidding her from venturing out into settlements. As such, Nereinne sought solace among nature and the animals of the Deadwight wilds and groves.
Daughter of Chaos, mother had too often called her. Magic-laden blood in her veins, her chaos consumed her at very early an age; she could summon the storms and gather the power of the sky itself between her hands before Morgante could teach her how to better command it; and that she did, and that was all that she had been, then, daughter of Chaos, water and fire- magic.
On the 6th of Birke, Morgante, whom she was captured by witch hunters during raids in Redania, whom she had slain every last one of them, came home dripping in blood.
That night, Nereinne, too, awoke in the Dark Grove where mother did her goddesses homage in sour mead and bones, crown to foot dripping in blood. She had screamed then, had tore her throat raw with it- she had been, for the first time in her life, powerless. Mother, she realized (had she truly been her mother? Had she ever even been born at all?) meant to make her blood an offering to the Goddess - ancient, sacred silvan blood of the spirits she had summoned from beyond and tied to this realm to give her this daughter of hers— this daughter that could purify her; this daughter who would spill her life's blood for the gods, a sacrifice, a gift to the Mother, to the Crone, and make Morgante the most powerful woman in the world.
They say clouds wept stones that night; leaves and fruit were dashed to the ground. Morgante’s rage became winter wind; her tears the first snow.
Something had come for her then, darkening the sky with a terrible storm and a vicious flock of ravens — The Morrigan, — she had later thought, in secret- something cold and terrible and ancient cometh to spill over her as she lay in the grove with her blood flowing into the earth...
when next she awoke, she was half naked on the banks of a river, far, far away from home.
She had been only a girl then- a wild thing, beggared and on the run, more prey than woman, hunted down. From town to town she went, using her magics and whatever knowledge she possessed of herbs and poisons, to scrap together a living; then, prowling the dark forests of Redania at the side of a Witcher chanced upon her— the fabled Witcher of Gradobor whom would become her lover; until she was soon discovered by another - another powerful enchantress, Isadore - and brought to Aretuza where she, a wild thing of pure, primal magic and chaos, remained for a long while, until a summons to her old blood came to her one moonless night before the Belatain... She could no longer stay there, a prisoner, refused her freedom, a puppet to be toyed with, ordered about by a chapter she had no care for. She refused to become what they wanted her to be.
Close to solstice, when the sun barely rises, skims the heads of skeletal trees, and drops, she fled Aretuza, older now, wiser - seeking justice; seeking her truth.
To Skellige she dwelt a long, long time, near the Drummond Clan, favored by the jarls. Arcane advisor, they called her, for a time. Enchantress. Witch. She who gives.
Until the time to flee the northern isles came calling, hands dripping in jarl blood- treason, they called it, later; betrayal. Only she had been the one hunted down by those who stood against her; fearful of a mage's influence over a King.
Apostate, she has been called, blood witch of the wilds; a poisoner she has been, a powerful enchantress; once, arcane advisor to the jarls of Clan Drummond.
Sacred, ancient lass of the forest.
IMPORTANT (Synopsis)
She has lived many lives: she has been prowling the lands for decades, a powerful daughter of primal Chaos hunted down by her own Mother and the bes demon she has bound to her, brought to Aretuza only to flee it after years of suffering their suffocating ways in which they meant to have her wield her chaos — gone to Skellige a powerful enchantress, where she lived as an arcane advisor to jarls of clan Drummond; advisor, who was then accused of betraying her King when the blood of the innocent was spilled only to flee to the Kingdom of Redania once more.
She has worked as a poisoner, has worked as a healer. She has traveled the lands before and after her years at Aretuza at the side of the fabled witcher of Gradobor, the white wolf of Kaer Morhen. @ofgradobor
She has been captured by witch hunters during raids in Ard Skellig, has dwelt in the dark woods of the lands beyond the Dragon Mountains where hags and druids gather and learned of their secret, dark magics; she has - as her mother had once done too - dabbled in necromancy and blood magic ( Goetia. ) She has travelled the continent, learning of ancient magics and spells, from druids and mages and enchantresses, forever seeking to grasp in her hands everything that Chaos has to offer and more— power and knowledge.
After fleeing Skellige and reuniting with Aldric, she prowled the continent at his side— and while he hunted monsters and coin, making a living for the both of them, she hunted Morgante, dabbling in the shadows: in dark, forbidden magics, summoning the bes demon Morgante had once bound to her to find her. After finding her mother, she fled the Witcher's side, meaning to capture and kill her herself, but he followed her anyway— and so did catastrophe...
Facing off with Morgante proved fatal: she overdrew Chaos from the place of power upon which they met one another, and in the firestorm of magic that followed, the fight for power between the two of them, Aldric of Gradobor would die, and Morgante would disappear.
Nereinne believed the Witcher to be gone and dead— she spent two days upon that mountain amidst ice and snow, trying to bring him back to life only to fail and leave him dead and buried (and she, ruined and unrecognisable, a shadow of a woman savaged by loss) —
— Morgante came back for him, using dark, ancient spells to heal him, indebting him to her. (In truth, the Witcher had never truly been dead— it had been only a powerful enchantment laid upon him and Nereinne by Morgante to make her believe she's killed him after unleashing colossal floods of arcane fire upon Morgante in hopes of killing her. )
She has eluded her ever since, and so has the Witcher who's denied her attempts of reconciliation throughout the years.
NOVIGRAD
During her time in Novigrad, destiny spun another thread for her to follow: a daughter of Chaos was thrust into her path, changing the course of her fate: Fjandi @sircnum. The sorceress came to care for the girl to such extraordinary lengths, that she fought tooth and nail to keep her safe and out of the sights of the Eternal Flame, extremist witch hunters that sought to snuff out all magic from the Kingdom of Redania. During the witch hunts, Nereinne remained in the city, in spite of being personally targeted all throughout the cleansing, from the very moment the fires began, to the last, as there were wanted posters of her plastered all over the whole of Novigrad, offering up a hefty reward for her capture: still, the enchantress had nowhere to flee what with Morgante (the only thing she's ever feared) once more coming to hunt them down: between one evil and another, the sorceress was ready to give everything that she had to keep her child-surprise of sorts, safe; amidst the chaos that trailed after her every step, she reunited with the fabled witcher of Gradobor @ofgradobor - a hopelessly unexpected turn of events that saw the witch's destiny once more interweaving with that of the witcher's; she tirelessly worked alongside the Lodge to help mages escape the city, and did everything within her power not to let control slip from her grasp. Nereinne was eventually captured by the Eternal Fire and suffered horrible abuses at their hands before escaping them with the help of trusted allies (family, at this point) and fleeing once more to Skellige.
PERSONALITY / ABOUT.
Morgante's harsh lessons has engendered in Nereinne a self-serving attitude. She can be callous to those she has little respect for, pitiless and cruel in obtaining that which she desires or believes to be the right thing to do − even if it comes at the expense of others.
Powerful, pitiless, fearless enchantress of Chaos, she is a six foot pillar of golden weaponized beauty, adept at using her wiles to manipulate people.
She has a fascination with ancient, dark spells and forces. Power is what she lives for (...or had been until crossing paths with Fjandi and reuniting with her witcher.)
A svelte, exotic-looking young woman with long black hair and large violet-blue eyes.
Menacing, they have often called her; malicious. Too proud, too cruel, too cold.
Languid, pragmatic, cold-hearted and oftentimes, sardonic, Nereinne cynically values power and autonomy. She looks down on mages who refuse to command the full, true power of Chaos and blindly follow rules imposed upon them by a Conclave she has little regard for.
She worships The Morrigan, the Queen of the Veil.
She is an extraordinarily powerful sorceress. Elemental control fascinates her, and she has mastered commanding nature to her wills. ( Particularly, fire magic. )

Now Streaming: Witcher 3 Next-Gen on Death March!
Time to futz around a little bit in Velen and see what's what! I hear the Crones of Crookback Bog are super nice and normal people who probably don't have deeply unsettling character models.

💕 self-love time! talk about which ones of YOUR creations (edits, artworks, fanfics) you like the most then send to other creators to do the same 💕
Awwww thank you so much for the ask!!! Such a sweet idea!! (and apologies for the delayed response in answering it, life has been super busy ahaha 😭)
I think in terms of content-wise, the fic I like the most is probably my So Eden Sank To Grief fic!! I’ve just had a lot of fun exploring Velen and building up the mystery with the Crone, as well as expanding the character POVs and bringing in more canon witcher characters to the main group. I love mystery, and I love when mystery ties to something ancient, and I’ve really enjoyed exploring the world building in Velen, so it’s been very fun for me!! It’s also been super fun going more into my OC Ameer’s POV and exploring his character a bit more explicitly/personally too, as well as introducing an OC who I really enjoy writing (a certain mysterious woman….), and delving into the whole Yennefer/Triss drama has also been something I’ve been wanting to do for ages, so it’s been great to get around to doing that!!
That being said, I cannot deny that I am super proud of my Separation fic – simply for the fact I somehow managed to write the 165k words in 5 months while also being on placement and doing exams ahahaha (do NOT recommend doing this though lol too stressful 😅)
Thank you so much again for the ask!!!

THE WITCHER 3 ~ NEXT GEN-UPDATE - FULL GAMEPLAY - FULL HD /60FPS -PART 01
⚔🐺 MAIN QUEST { LADIES OF THE WOODS} ⚔🐺 is a main quest in The Witcher 3 that takes place in Velen. This quest is the key to discovering both Ciri’s encounter with the witches of Crookback Bog and the Bloody Baron’s wife. ⚔🐺 WHO ARE THE LADIES OF THE WOODS? ARE THEY GOOD OR EVIL? ⚔🐺 The Crones, also called the Ladies of the Wood, are three witches who live in a cabin in the swamps of Velen. Legend suggests the three are sisters and the daughters of the original "Lady of the Wood", also known as "She-Who-Knows". They are named Brewess, Weavess, and Whispess. Common folk have given these three sisters the names Weavess, Brewess and Whispess, and call the threesome "The Ladies of the Wood" or simply "The Good Ladies." The Crones act as the true sovereigns of Velen, whose inhabitants they help survive through harsh times in return for unquestioning obedience. They wield powerful magic, but one different from that of mages. They draw power from water and earth and are bound to the land in which they live. The Crones can hear everything that happens in their woods, predict the future, twist the threads of human lives and bring blessings as well as curses. The Crones seem for all intents and purposes to be immortal. Magic elixirs keep them from aging and allow them to take the appearance of young women. These elixirs and their mystical ties to the swamps in which they live also give them supernatural strength and vitality.

Ooo, super curious about the real bros of crookback bog fic!
Okay, The Real Bros of Crookback Bog is the second story in my Velen Cannibals AU and it is pretty ridiculous. This story takes place before Nilfgaard’s first invasion and my interpretation of the Velen cannibals: basically they are a Weezer song. They just want to be left alone so they can hang out with their bros and eat whoever they want and sleep in all day. It’s 90% original characters and more about my love for all of the strange/weird/funny elements I took from Witcher 3 and Velen in particular. I don't know why I got so hung up on these ideas but I have like 15k scattered across three stories for this AU so I was really gung-ho about it for awhile. This story is 80% shenanigans. I have a POV character named Remy who ran off and ended up with the cannibals (there is a whole sequence that is ‘eat cute’ intro and his future boyfriend snares him in an actual trap).
Some scene things from The Real Bros of Crookback Bog:
Remy discovers the cannibals play Capture the Chef in which they do semi-violent raids on each other in order to kidnap the best cooks and bring them to their own camp for the season.
At one point Remy’s camp finds some loot in the forest and brings it back to camp, only to discover that there’s a ghost haunting a piece of jewelry or other item. They befriend the ghost and keep them around as an early warning system for drowners, bandits, and witchers.
Remy also discovers one of the cooks has trained the local crows to find/retrieve goodies and snoop on enemy camps.
There is a red-eyed scruffy hare who is an emissary or watcher for The Crones who is named Ištikimas and tends to appear at strange times.
One of Remy’s new cannibal friends gets a tattoo from a bog witch, only to discover the bog witch has enchanted a revenant in the tattoo. So they wake up in the middle of the night thinking this guy is talking in his sleep except it’s the old spirit in his tattoo who ends up being a really amazing shit-talker. When that cannibal bro gets kidnapped, they let go because the tattoo is too creepy for the abductors.
And then there’s a little scene like this where one of the cannibals got turned into a fox. Because strange shit happens in Velen all the time, okay: Rated Mature. ~400w.
So far the truce to their war was holding steady. Liver Burlap was playing the fiddle, some sort of jaunty tune that Remy found himself enjoying himself despite the concern he had when they put their weapons away. Serril was to Remy’s left, tucked against a giant rutsack containing the loot from the merchant’s cart. Pav was to his right, nursing the bottle of rye. The weather was warm and no one was piss-drunk and throwing punches yet. With any luck, they’d be able to get through the night without spilling any intestines. Remy elbowed Pav to hand over the booze but Serril grabbed it before Remy had a chance to drink. He finished wrestling the bottle from Serril who flicked his cheek and grinned. Remy’s skin felt hot, his gut churning pleasantly before pressing the bottle to his lips. He was looking around the fire, falling into the rhythm Anton was slapping on his knee with the beat of Liver Burlap’s fiddle but Anton stopped suddenly.
The older man held his arm up high and called out into the darkness, “Elias! That you? Where the fuck’ve you been?”
He looked where Anton was calling, seeing nothing but the grassy silhouettes beyond the campfire. Remy took another sip and startled when a fox hopped on top of the barrel behind Piotr. The chorus of “Elias!” echoed around the fire and the woodland animal trilled at them, bird-like and eerie as fox were under the guise of night.
Remy had to blink through the haze of drink and took another look at the animal. It’s snout was short like any fox, firelight showing off a bushy tail, red with a white tip and tucked against it’s body. It was no larger than any fox Remy had seen frolicking through the meadow or darting through the swamps. Except there seemed to be a pair of human balls and a sad, very small human cock between it’s hind legs.
“Long time no see,” Piotr said, dumping some of his spirits into a mug and placing it on the barrel next to the animal.
“That fox has a cock,” Remy blurted out and there was a heavy moment of silence that followed, the wide eyes of Anton and Liver Burlap boring holes into him. Piotr murmured something to the fox and Remy swallowed, looking over at Serril, wondering if there was some faux pas he just committed when they were supposed to be making friends with this crew. Serril gave him an encouraging wink amidst the silence.
“No wenches or vixens for Elias,” Piotr said, breaking the silence and Liver Burlap played several sad notes on his fiddle and Anton roared with laughter. WIP Game List

There's really only one thing that bothers me about the Ciri endings. Ok yeah sure in the bad ending/"Death" Of Ciri ending Geralt goes to kill the last Crone and take back Ciri's medallion she got from Uncle Vesemir's body to remember him by as his memento of her but WHY IS THAT THE ONLY ENDING THAT WE CAN DO THAT IN?
