The concept of anchors in teen wolf always fascinated me. Because it’s not the same for everyone. Someone connects to negative emotions, pain, suffering, anger. Someone attaches to happy memories and joy. There are those who connect to mantras, philosophical ideas, and beliefs.

But there are also those who connect to loved ones, because they are something that makes them vulnerable, human. They are those who calm with a heartbeat, gentle voice, those who can reach the deepest parts of the mind with words, whose single presence can pull the shift, anger, impulse and instinct back and make the supernatural being feel at ease.

And when two supernatural beings are each other’s anchors? It means they connect to other not because they are a dose of the humanity they lost, not the reminder of the human part of them, but because they know they can trust each other because other will always have their back.

Just imagine a Fanfic that begins with Theo sitting at the counter of Liam's Ramen store after 15 years and telling him "hey Little Wolf"

Theo and Liam have not seen each other since Theo revealed his feelings toward Liam, he did it with twisted words that did not directly explicit an 'I love you' but were stronger and Liam did not understand them.

For 15 years Liam tried to understand them, to understand what Theo meant, but he could not and meanwhile he began to make a new life, a new love, moving on.

After the battle with the Nogitsune, Liam and Hikari returned to Japan, set up their store, put elbow grease into it.

And one late evening, just as Liam was closing the restaurant, a customer walks in.

Theo stands from the counter, looks at the menu, and when Liam comes in to say they are closed, Theo lowers the menu and smiles and says, "Hey Little Wolf, long time no see."

And Liam seeing his face, seeing Theo, he remembers that confession and finally can understand what Theo was talking about.

I cry just thinking about it!

A Thiam fic that has reignited my love for Teen Wolf and the pairing. Absolutely recommend reading for it’s expansion upon Theo’s backstory, Liam’s key struggle with his parents, the pack’s arc of gradually forgiving Theo, of Alec and Theo’s relationship, super cool exploration the lore of packs and other supernaturals, along with a fantastic use of full transformations.

Liam is numb. He tries to cling on to it, all too aware that whatever comes next will be so much worse. Maybe Theo was right about most people feeling one emotion at a time, but Liam isn’t so sure he was right about that being true for Liam. Not totally. Sometimes Liam thinks his problem really lies within the fact that his brain is fucked up in a way that makes him feel everything at once. Anger is just what tends to be dominant, pulsing through him at a near constant thrum that makes it easy for his temper to flare up at the first sign of something to spark it off.

Right now, numbness sounds appealing in comparison. Being angry takes energy, and after everything that’s just happened… maybe feeling empty isn’t so bad.

Is this what Theo thinks like when he’s trying to tamp his emotions down? Out of sight, out of mind?

Is this what he’s been trying to do when it comes to Liam? Push his feelings so far away it’s like they don’t even exist?

God. What a lonely way to live.

Behind Closed Doors

Despite the facade he had perfected, Theo Raeken couldn't escape the undeniable truth that coursed through his veins. Deep down, he knew he would never be forgiven; the only thing people saw when they looked at him was his monstrous nature. Despite his attempts to suppress it, the relentless truth was always there, threatening to consume him entirely. Theo wonders if returning to Hell, where his sister Tara resides, would somehow offer solace in the chaos. He yearned for the brutal release of Tara's claws, clawing at his chest. Maybe by her extracting her own heart, still beating, from within him, he could somehow ease the pain that threatened to consume him.

I think the moment my heart broke for Theo wasn’t even the second Tara pulled him to hell. It was the moment they showed Theo alone, cuddled in the blanket in his truck, while the sun was shining through his windows and deputies kept knocking to wake him up. How utterly alone and cold, helpless he looked, and I knew in my heart he thought he deserved it. Because hell was a torture but this was his life after. And even when Tara stopped ripping the heart from his chest, his life still looked a lot like punishment.
