Things have escalated quickly. A lot quickly, the stakes are high. 

We see what Shelley’s seeing reflected in his eyes, and I just wanted to say how bloody cool it is we see the burning worlds behind his eyes. 

The Cyberman is persistent and re-appears again. And now we’re circling slowly into the moment. 

Thirteen makes a snap decision to let the Cyberman have the Cyberium and the look on everyone’s faces. 

Even Mary and Percy looked aghast at Thirteen. 

The Cyberium is killing Percy Bysshe Shelley, and they’re trapped in the 17th century house with a Cyberman. The vice is tightening around the Doctor’s neck. 

And Yaz, again, tries to remind Thirteen about Jack’s warning and this does not go over well: 

I’ve mentioned in a previous post that at this moment I kind of chuckled because the Doctor’s always a little bit of a dick to Jack Harkness, and this was solidly in character but also, at this moment of time, Doctor is making an executive decision. 

Jack isn’t there with them trapped in a 17th Century house with a Cyberman, Jack doesn’t know the Doctor’s recent history with the Cybermen. But the Doctor does know the terrible lengths the Doctor will go through to save the people she loves. 

The pressure’s been building since the moment Thirteen realized that the Death god from Hades was actually a Cyberman. And it’s been building and building every second, and there needs to be a release valve. 

And that, unfortunately, is coming soon.
