“Dominant ideologies correspond to a set of objective conditions and to the necessities of the ruling classes. [Therefore] there are no abstract ideological reasons. They concede to the current imperious instances. [...] Times in history form doctrines. Objective conditions determine ideological positions. Class bonds give color to social attitudes. [...] Ideologies come about, embodying aspirations, forming goals, presenting justifications. [...] It is well clear that the ruling classes don’t make the laws so that they will fall on top of them. [...] The State and society condemn women for a crime when, if crimes exist, they are the crimes of the State and capitalism society themselves. [...] Facts show that the criminalization of abortion is completely ineffective. [...] Only stubbornness and political, social, moral and religious narrow-mindedness of governing forces can explain that, given the results, the definition of abortion as a crime is mantained. [...] Illegalization and penal action are, therefore, judicially ineffective and socially condemnable. They are also, directly or indirectly, a true attack against the fundamental rights of women.”
Álvaro Cunhal in “Abortion: Causes and Solutions” (1940). Álvaro Cunhal (1913-2005) was arrested in 1940, the height of Portugal’s right wing catholic dictatorship, for communist activities, and after a campaign by his friends was allowed to leave prison to defend his thesis with a state police officer by his side. The jury included some of the highest ranking figures in the government and he defended the legalization of abortion and discussed capitalism, class struggles, imperialism and how attacks to women’s rights based on religious notions of morality affect poor women disproportionately, to what was described as the police officer’s “stunned silence”. He went on to become one of the major opponents of the regime, and secretary-general of the Communist Party from 1961 to 1992. His thesis was published as a book in 1997 and abortion was legalized in Portugal in 2007 after a referendum.

Noceda House Layout Huh?
Tumblr media
Guess I'll have to do it myself.
Well- My sister @bluefireblaze (she's not active on tumblr go to Insta to check out her awesome art) helped a lot with this
This is gonna be a long post, but in the very beginning I'll show the concluded House Plan's. I'll go in depth about areas me and my sis are still confused about and why some areas we decided are certain ways.
SEASON 3 SPOILERS
I hope this helps at least SOME fanfiction writers and/or fanartists. Rip to me and other's that wrote the layout differently in their head (presumably if this layout is correct)
I'll also be providing a ton of screenshots so, reference.
If you have anything to add I'm welcome to discussion! Obviously I'm not the creator nor ever worked on the owl house so take everything here with at least a little grain of salt. But I am about 90% confident I got at least the majority of the house correct.
Link to part 2, it's also reblogged, 2nd floor and basement.
Blue = Windows
Black = Usually the doors, Bathroom has a sliding door and is brown along the wall for that reason.
Orange (or any varation) = Defining walls
Shaded Brown = Going upstairs or down stairs that wouldn't remain on the same level
Red = Rough idea of furniture, Photos
Outside of the house= different greens and designs for a big tree at the side and bushes around the house
Question Marks = Unclear about specifics of that area from the screenshots I've found Edit: ...forgot to upload the version with the question marks... Oh well.
A lot of these areas have more guess than straight fact about wall placement btw
Think that's it
2nd Floor

Main Floor

Basement
Tumblr media
Without text & furniture:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Roughly.
(also, yes I did just realize that Camila's bed has furniture at both sides shh I know I'm just not gonna go back and edit)
Ready for some explanations and reference in one place? Heck yeah.
If you only came for the floor plan then you don't really need to see the rest unless you want explanation.
Outside:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: The window at the back I'm chalking up to error in placement since the kitchen doesn't have any windows on that side and that window better fits in the living room. The chimney is somewhat awkwardly placed but not too much
Another Note: The way the door opens changed last time it was seen in season 1 so I'm gonna chose to believe they got a new door, in universe.
Entrance:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kitchen toward the back and a door at the back. Notice: the wall for the door doesn't align with the kitchen's back wall. This makes me think the door isn't just to the outside and leads into a small hallway, likely to the basement
Bathroom isn't in view for three of these
Hallway:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: The latter screenshot proves that the living room is at the front of the house
Living room:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I at first thought there was a break in the north wall that led to the kitchen but upon further inspection it is probably just a regular wall that juts out.
WE ARE IGNORING THIS
Tumblr media
I
I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THAT WALL PLACEMENT (behind the photo) RIGHT NOW AFTER A LOT OF WHAT I DID SO BOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Kitchen:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Keep in mind the door behind Willow, Amity, and Luz, Off to the side. It's the area I understand the least.
Me and Blue are guessing it leads to a pantry like area? Maybe has some stuff to do with the chimney. But that is what some of the question marks are about on the floor plan.
Bathroom
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Sliding door. Right across the hallway.
Only thirty images allowed per post on tumblr so I'll reblog for the Second floor and Basement after this. This includes the door at the end of the hallway that I could only conclude led to stairs descending into the Basement
Here's the Link to that post
Only gets less clear from here.
Btw I got a handful of these screenshots from fancaps.net since those episodes aren't available like season 3 is. At least, not in a way that is easy to find consistently.

#TWILEKD — an independent, private, and highly selective original character from the STAR WARS franchise. Please check out the carrd before following. Below 21* dni.
blogroll. @lmperiums (sw multi), @grandmcff (tarkin)
CARRD. / PROMO. / PINTEREST. / VERSES.
* disclaimer: if I knew you before the 21+ rule you are fine to follow, but for new followers the 21+ is enforced.
I. This blog is private and follow backs may take me some time to do. I also tend to prefer a low follower count as I like having a clean dash, for it helps with my mental health and related. I ask also that if you are a personal / non-RP blog to not reblog my threads, as it messes up my notifs. Likes and asks however are totally fine! Onto other things my activity is very sporadic and I am normally mobile bound so I rarely get to my laptop. That aside on weekends I usually am not on Tumblr, as I'm out hiking, traveling or spending time with my partner. I have a life outside of Tumblr and do this for fun!!
II. No drama allowed. The block button exists for a reason, and it is something I use. If we break mutuals I will hardblock, if only because with how dysfunctional tumblr is it makes it easier than softblocking and doesn't cause any awkward refollowing on either side. I ask that if you are a bigot of any kind and fit general dni criteria to not follow me. I also refuse to write underage, incest and rape scenarios. Hate anons will be deleted, as will ones wanting to stir drama. Leave me out of it, or DM me personally if you have an issue.
III. I rarely use icons / fancy banners if only because I am mobile bound and things always look a bit off to me on it. I also rarely use fancy font / colored text for accessibility's sake. However I do use a mix of subscript, italic, bold and large text. I tend to prefer writing multi-paragraph replies but please, do not feel that you have to match my length nor my format! That being said sometimes it takes me a while to reply to threads due to issues with my hands, so some replies may take a little while to be responded to but know I rarely drop threads. I ask though to please not pester me for replies.
IV. Unless discussed prior all relationships are in their own universes. I ship with chemistry and do enjoy talking ooc about our muses, as it helps me get an idea of things and how our muses may (or may not) get along! On the topic of NSFW it is something I am not really interested in, but I am not opposed to it. Full blown NSFW will NOT BE WRITTEN ON THIS BLOG. So if that is all you are here for, then please leave. If we do end up getting to a point like that in a thread I ask we do a fade to black sort of thing.
** Little NSFW asks are fine, however I rarely reblog those. Thank you for respecting my opinion on this.
V. Hi! My name is Werner (or Iggy) and you may know me from my old Piett blog (admrl) or my old Tarkin blog (grcndmoffs). I have been in the Star Wars fandom / RPC for a few years, but only recently have returned to it. Truthfully Star Wars is a big comfort to me, and it is very nice to be back here again. Onto other things, my Discord is @fishfrye if you wish to get into contact with me. I only ask that you tell me who you are if you add me so I know! My Tumblr IMs are open to all who may need anything or need someone to talk to, as is the anon feature. Just please do not abuse that feature, for I will turn it off if it is and that just ruins it for everyone.
VI. This being said onto triggers. I tag triggers as 'trigger /', and know that very dark and triggering content will be present on this blog. Mun does not equal muse, and I ask that if you EVER need anything tagged to please let me know. I tag everything I think could possibly upset someone, as I wish for my blog to be a safe spot for all. Thank you so much for reading this far. Ily

Right so I was thinking, a rarely (or rarely from where I am) discussed aspect of ADHD is reading comprehension. Most people associate ADHD and reading as generally non-compatable, as it tends to require sitting still and focusing for long periods of time. What doesn't tend to be mentioned is that ADHD actually makes the act of reading hard, on occassion.
As a kid, I was constantly stuck with my head in a book. I read all the time, sometimes multiple books a day, because of the escapism it offered. I also have really bad ADHD, that I struggle to manage as an adult. Because of that, I struggle to read now, something I'm sure a lot of other ADHDers can relate to.
So, I've made a handy image to try and show what reading with ADHD is like, for people who don't have it. Fair warning, it's not meant to be easy to see/read, so if you already have problems with that then skip to the image ID below.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A text note, made to be difficult to read. Large portions of the text are blurry, and warped, while some are clear, and highlighted in different colours. Text with warping reads: "Hi there! This is an... ADHD... overstimulated. Sometimes... external overstimulation... process... process... overwhelming... paragraph breaks... This... Hope this helps!" End Image ID]
Here is a transcript of what the note says, without distortion: "Hi there! This is an extremely long message. This is what it feels like to have ADHD, and have to read a long passge of words, all closely together, when your brain is overstimulated. Sometimes this can happen due to external overstimulation, like bright lights, loud noises, or even just a combination of many things, that when put together we struggle to process. Sometimes it is because our brain is struggling to process new information, which can be caused by many things, including new or overwhelming emotions, exhaustion, and burnout. Often, without paragraph breaks or something to break up a wall of text, we find it difficult to read. This is often hard to explain if you don't experience it yourself. Hope this helps!"
If you skipped the big walls of text, that's fair. It's a fairly common part of ADHD, as a lack of clear visual differentiation often makes it hard to keep track of your place whilst reading. This is one of the many factors that affect our ability to read text.
For the image itself, the distortion follows some very simple patterns of ADHD reading. First of all, we do manage to get at least the first word or two. After that, our eyes tend to dart down, desperate to find patterns in the large wall of text. This can be formatting patterns, or word patterns. This is often why we tend to skip ahead over descriptions, straight to dialogue, and then have to work backwards, as written speech almost always breaks up large walls of text into small, manageable, pieces.
This is why some of the words are highlighted. They are either repeating, or similar to words previously seen. They also tend to be longer words, as these are easier to see at a glance, or capitalised words and acronyms, as these stand out from standard lowercase text. Our eyes jump to these, as they are easy to find quickly in lines of text, and we often use these as 'anchors'.
Anchors are places in text where we work outwards from. They tend to be words, or short phrases, that we can easily see at a glance, so that if we lose our place whilst reading, we can jump back to these metaphorical save points, knowing we have processed all the words before that.
Processing itself is another problem. An inherent part of ADHD is a difficulty, or inability, to prioritize tasks. This includes reading, which often means that when confronted with a wall of text, our brains try to process the whole thing in one go. This often leads to a difficulty in telling the difference between individual lines of text, combining words, or missing things, i.e the warping. This can vary in extremity dependent on the person, and obviously gets worse when combined with other things such as dyslexia, and other learning disorders.
Combined, all of this makes reading very difficult. As mentioned in the note itself, this varies depending on how stimulated our brains are. Something not mentioned in the note, however, is that this can also occur in understimulated brains. Due to a lack of engaging material, our brains will try to process new information a lot faster, in an sort of "finally we're doing something!" excitement. This tends to backfire, as processing issues tend to make people with ADHD put off doing the task, or get frustrated, making everything harder.
This doesn't just apply to books, though that is the most common example. It can also apply to text messages, group chats particularly, menus, posters, anything that can fit more than a few sentences of text on it, really.
So, if you have any friends with ADHD, suspected ADHD, or a processing disorder, and they seem to be struggling, then it might be worth asking if they need help reading the material they're having a hard time with. Changing the form of processing (from visual to audio) can help, e.g reading it aloud. You can also help by: pointing out the most important pieces of information; reading it over and giving them a basic summary, or; whatever they think will help them most.
I know it might be frustrating to deal with, but I promise we are likely even more frustrated then you are. We are the ones living with ADHD, and so have to deal with our brains all the time. Just give us some kindness and patience, and we'll get there eventually.
Thanks for reading, if you made it all the way through this. If you have a processing disorder feel free to add onto this! Any questions shoot me an ask/message. Neurotypicals do not clown on this post.

I'm interested to see what you think are plot holes, especially as someone who hasn't gone through half the game. Perhaps put it under a read more? Part of what you may think are plot holes could also be the result of Automata being a (very distant) sequel to the original Nier, which itself is a spinoff of the Drakengard games. Automata's pretty self-contained though, so I kinda doubt it. As for DLC, IIRC it doesn't really add much story aside from some bits about the arena mode.
This is all going under a read more as it’s pretty much impossible to talk about this without getting into spoiler territory in a game where that matters.
I may write an update to this post later on after I’ve beaten the game and had more time to think on it all, as I’ve already re-written half of it because I answered some of my own questions in the process of typing it out. Rubber ducky debugging, basically.
Fair warning, there is a huge amount of text beyond the break because there’s just way too much to talk about when it comes to any one aspect of Nier and its universe. Like it’s a totally unreasonable amount of text for anybody to read. You have been warned.
MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR NIER AUTOTOMATO AFTER THE BREAK
Before I start, it is obligatory that I mention that I’m somewhere in route C. I’ve destroyed one of the resource units as 9S. Specifically, the one in the forest if that makes a difference. I have no idea how far I am in the game anymore because at this point it feels like I’m playing this game’s sequel.
There are a lot of minor questions/problems I have with the game, but there is one issue bothers me the most as it feels like bad writing in a way that’s incongruous with the rest of the game. The best way to describe it is in the form of a question:
Why do YoRHa androids care so much about dying?
I feel like the game contradicts itself on this, and the confusion it’s caused me has taken away from some key moments in the story. The core issue is that the main characters treat dying as if it’s a big deal, when outside of very specific circumstances it really isn’t. For the YoRHa androids, dying seems like an inconvenience at worst because they can just “respawn” based on their most recent backup.
It starts with the very opening of the game. Why does 2B care so much that 9S is dying? She didn’t care at all when her wingmen died in the opening, but the purportedly super serious with “no emotion” super soldier (that’s a whole other post, but my opinion on that has changed a bit since then) is completely torn up and super emotional that 9S is dying. Why does she care? He’s going to respawn at the Bunker when he dies, just like they both do literally a few minutes later when they self-destruct to no real consequences.
Yes, I know that 9S makes a big deal out of the fact that he’s backing up 2B during the fight so she can respawn just fine. He specifically calls out that he hasn’t backed up since before the fight, so he’s going to lose maybe an hour or so of his memory and his memory of the fight. Why is that a big deal? Why is 2B so distressed about the idea of saving 9S even though he’s way gone and definitely going to die? If anything, she should have killed him right there so he could respawn sooner and not suffer in pain. (Although it’s unclear if maybe 9S was the node from which 2B was getting backed up, so if that’s the case then let him finish first. However if that is the case, it implies he should be able to save anywhere and they wouldn’t be in that situation to begin with.)
This happens again at the end of route A/B, albeit with slightly different circumstances. 9S is infected and so he cannot be backed up in his current state to the Bunker. However, he still has a backup from maybe an hour ago before the fighting starting, so why does it matter so much that he’s going to die there? Again, when he comes back he’s not going to remember how he helped save the world, but that’s really not a big deal in the grand scheme of things and 2B will have a super rad story to tell him when he wakes up on the Bunker.
Things get weird though, because 9S saved himself on the machines nearby before he died. I’m very unclear on what happened between the ending of A/B and the beginning of C because he’s back in his body as if nothing happened, seemingly remembering everything, and nobody mentions it. I’m not sure how he got there, what happened to the 9S in the machine, how he got to the Bunker, and so on. If the 9S in the machine at the end of A/B is the same one you see at in route C, that seems like a huge liability and is probably the source of the infection that wipes out the Bunker. This whole thing raises a lot of questions, but this seems like the kind of thing that will get addressed in due time. There are some very important scenes that happened in between A/B and C that, at least where I am in the game anyway, we didn’t see.
For being such a central and defining feature of the plot and the game’s themes, I feel like the mechanics of android death and revival need very clearly defined rules. Which, they do have, but the characters opinions on it seem to contradict it sometimes for the sake of dramatic cutscenes and relationships. They act as if they don’t know how it works when there’s no reason they wouldn’t.
Ignoring the character’s opinions, this is my understanding of how it works:
1. To respawn requires some server in the Bunker. If the Bunker is destroyed, that means all androids lose this capability, and so when they die, there is no coming back.
2. Only YoRHa androids can access the server in the Bunker, which means only androids like 2B, 9S, and so on can respawn. Resistance members universally talk about death as if it is very permanent. I was confused about this for a while, but thinking about it’s easily explained as their designs being too old to be compatible with whatever technology drives the whole resurrection system.
3. Some level of communication must exist between an android and the Bunker at the moment of death. 11B’s death provides this example. After getting stuck, 11B wants to respawn back at the Bunker, but cannot because her communication systems are completely destroyed. 11B is one of the three examples I can think of off the top of my head where the resurrection process fails.
4. When androids respawn, they come back based on their last save/backup. This means that whenever they die, they lose memories of whatever happened between their last backup and up to the point where they died. It sucks, but they’re soldiers, and it’s something they should be well aware of and used to. All things considered, that’s really not a big price to pay for what’s effectively immortality.
As a corollary to this, there are two clear ways for a YoRHa android to permanently die:
1. Communication with the Bunker is completely cut off, meaning that the Bunker will never get the trigger that boots up the backup of an android in a backup body. The only example I recall of this happening to this degree was when an android’s communication system was completely destroyed, which seems to be an extremely rare occurrence.
(This process raises a lot of the same questions that come up when discussing transporters, but I’m willing to overlook that for the same reason most fiction does. It starts getting into questions about souls, which to be fair Nier makes explicit reference to in the Project Gestalt archives. Maybe there’s more to this?)
2. The Bunker itself is destroyed and so the mechanism by which androids respawn is completely broken. There doesn’t appear to be a backup of any kind for this system. As of route C, this is now the case. 2B dies and she’s now really dead. Meanwhile 9S is still alive, but if he dies now, he dies for real.
(This also raises the question of where do androids come from in the first place, which is something I don’t know but I suspect will be answered eventually.)
As an aside, 2B’s memories are in her sword now. It’s not clear how important an android’s “memories” are in terms of the backing up process. If all it takes is nebulously defined “memories” to respawn an android, then 2B will probably come back at the end of the game by restoring her memories into a new body. Whether or not your personality and thought processes are intrinsically stored in those memories seems like a question worth asking but that’s approaching a whole other philosophical discussion.
I could go on and on and on, but I think I’ve covered what has bugged me the most about the game (and then some) pretty well. In the process of writing this post, I ended up answering most of the questions I had going in. Just putting it to proverbial paper has made me think about a couple things and after reviewing a couple things I ended up answering my biggest question which was “how do androids die?”
